Can never go wrong with a lamb AB here! Chips are crunchy and perfectly salted. The lamb is beautifully grilled and the awesome combination of sauces complete the meal. Staff are always friendly, no matter what time of day you're there! We ordered the $25 lamb AB for two people and we were both stuffed! Good value and definitely hits the spot.

The best lamb yiros and chips in Adelaide and their home made Chicken 🐔 salt is to die for.... I always ask for my chips well done and Crispy and the Owner BILL ... cooks them to perfection..👍👍👍 There are video games to play while you wait for your order to be cooked or phone your order through so you don’t have to wait..

I've been frequenting here ( & the 'other' well known Cafe a few doors up) for at least 30 - 35 years, they are extremely consistent, you know that everytime you eat here the food will be good quality, fresh & tasty. Okay so they haven't changed the decor since the 70's but it really doesn't matter. They have mastered the art of delicious chips and yiros meat. At 3am in the morning after a night out on the town, this will be the best intoxicated decision you've ever made.

Best AB I've ever had! I had the falafel AB, and my partner had the meat combo AB and we both ate so much we felt about ready to burst. Easily the tastiest AB I've ever had, and the fella who works there is so friendly and was more than happy to add extra bits and pieces to our meals. They've got a really good range of vegetarian and vegan options, though many of them aren't displayed so just ask about their vegetarian/vegan options in store. 10/10 tasty noms.

Have always loved this place. Used to be the best tasting and also best value ab in Adelaide. Now they are about half the size that I get from my local shop (Malvern) although a few bucks cheaper. Sauces are still the best, had a lot of fat still on the chicken this time round, usually it’s spot on. Unfortunatly there were a few hairs in the yiros and lots of flys in the store. A typical 'fish-and-chip' type of place serving mostly deep fried food. The reason I'm taking the time to write this is the amazing customer service I received. Deep fried is deep fried, it's not top quality food but it's not trying to be. If your going for that sort of thing then thus place is worth it. Was very pleasantly surprised and felt who I assume to be the owner, went the extra mile even though it was a simple order.

Just left the place, great Yiros and excellent AB combo. A word for Jack, the person who served us. My wife and I were not sure about what to get, he saw that and he gently explained to us the place was established long ago, there were some original recipes made in house and suggested us what to order. I tought he was one of the owners, turned out he's a simple employee, but I really hope for the place he's going to get promoted soon, the guy is a gem. Tidy, good smile, great seller without being pushy, he knows how to get the customer's trust. Working in the same industry, I highly appreciate these traits. I will go back, thanks to the great food and thanks to Jack.

Went in here last night for Yiros. Met the owner. Top bloke. Down to earth people. Talked me into buying a chicken shashlik it was amazing. Had a Yiros (combo). I was surprised about the generosity of the amount of meat. Well flavoured, great sauce. Value for money. Will re-review after I go and get a burger from them. If it passes the taste test and service is the same I will then give 5 stars.

This used to be the place to go for post-clubbing hangover food back in the 80's/90's. Tables packed with pulled apart yiros and ABs, souped up cars pulling up to the curb and music going loud. Nowadays, things have changed. The decor is old, peeling and definitely worse for wear. The ABs were overpriced and much smaller than they used to be. The meat was more along the lines of small dice rather than carved splinters of lamb/chicken. Nostalgia makes me come back though.
