This is the first time I've had food from this place it's hard to find good fish and chips this time of the night especially being delivered!! Anyhow I found the food was very good!! But paying $12 for an extra piece of butterfish is quite expensive!! Overall food was good portion small for the price!!!! For what I received under $30 would of been better

Great hospitality. Booked a table over the phone. The receptionist was really cheerful and warm. Upon arrival she was nice, guided us to our table. And throughout the stay she was great. Attended with a smile, and described things well when asked. Now, about the main part food and pricing. I randomly selected this one as I needed to book a place for ‘seafood’ and it was the closest at Adelaide CBD. Freshly prepared fish and meals were nice however the pricing seems to be more than what it should be like. Most probably it’s due to their reputation. Since they are a really old place they probably deserve to keep it at that range. Not sure. Overall, it’s a good place for seafood if price is not an issue. And the service is definitely awesome. I would give 4.5 due to the pricing, but I think it’s up to them & also there’s no .5 option anyway.😜 Cheers!!🥂

I have been a diner at Paul's for over 40 years. I haven't lived in Adelaide for many years, but I'd never come without having a meal of iconic South Australian whiting at Paul's it's a public holiday and It's open for dinner. It's fresh seafood. Simple, fresh and high quality. Great food at excellent prices. If you're a visitor to Adelaide, go to Gouger Street. It's the main international food place in Adelaide. Chinese, Greek, Vietnamese, Argentinean, Mexican, it's all there......and the all time favourite- Paul's Seafood on Gouger! The rest of Adelaide is home having a barbecue behind closed gates, but not Gouger Street and not Paul's!

Stumbled upon this place and decided to try ot for dinner. We weren't disappointed. Fresh seafood. Cooked any way you prefer (grill, batteres or fried). Plentiful serving. Meal was tasty and didn't leave hungry afterwards. Pricing was good. Service was great. Well looked after as a walk-in with no booking.

Fantastic place to dine. The Oyster Mornay was superbly amazing but it comes with hefty price though. Canadian Lobster was okay, I find it a little rubbery but the Baby Squid was equally good. Great customer service. Will be back for more.

Ordered the whiting and soft shell crab. I think the food was quite average. The fish was fresh but the soft shell crab was slightly oily. Price is a bit high for the serving. Luckily it is part of the entertainment book so I was able to use a voucher for further discount.

Great seafood and steak, but jeepers the salad needs an update. Undressed, unseasoned lettuce and tomato really has no place in a modern gastrononomic landscape.

Well you wouldn’t go there for the decor but you don’t decor. The food is as always spectacular. Paul’s only sell seafood and that’s the reason they ate the best. The Chief started there when he was 15 yrs old and he is now late 40’s. that how they get it right

Overrated and overpriced, had grilled john dory and that all that came out on the plate. We sat upstairs and everything that was being cooked ended up on our table, range hood needs an upgrade. Plus side we had a nice waitress who was very friendly.

The Chef is the best feature of this seafood establishment! The “service” was very slack with the lady owner (?) paying more attention to the passing sidewalk traffic than to clearing our prawn cocktail and oyster entree plates - the Chef had to tell her to do so, as he was about to bring out our main courses! I assume she must be an owner as I can’t see anyone employing her as a waitress! Food was a good 7 or 8 out of 10 but not cheap. I had the salt and pepper prawn, scallop & calamari combination which was tasty. My wife had a single fillet of battered Whiting, chips & salad which she enjoyed. We had a glass of wine each. The decor is original 1970s and looks worn & dated.

Food was really yummy. I had crambed baramundi and the fish was delicious and fresh. Tartare sauce was delish. Staff were very friendly and patient; they managed a overly loud, demanding and boisterous group of my family well. I'm sorry to the other customers on this Monday who thought the restaurant would be quiet.

Highly recommended. The food was lovely and the service was friendly without being obtrusive. I'd also like to comment on the honesty of the owners. We had a bit of a mix up with our order, and instead of being aggressive or going into denial, we were offered a fair discount. Very impressive; we'll be coming back here when we return to Adelaide.

Most tasty experience. I started off with some local white wine - "Mosaic" Sauvignon Blanc" and an appetizer of fried calamari that was light & delicious. I ordered the whiting with large potato wedges that was complimented with a small greens salad which all really hit the mark. Staff is very attentive and in good spirits. The interior of the cafe is quite inviting as done in wood and there is also an upstairs seating area not visible from the front entrance. Definitely heading back to this gem.

The cook we had did a great job. Everything was fresh and cooked nicely and quickly. The wait staff were really nice, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They have an outdoor area and a high chair. There also an upstairs area. As you walk in the door there’s the kitchen to the right where you can watch the cook and see the seafood they have. Presentation is good. There lots of photos inside with a whole bunch of famous people like Jeff and Anthony from the Wiggles.
