Comments of Pondok Daun Restaurant
M. J.
Little shop in the heart of the city serving authentic Indonesian food at affordable prices. Grilled beef ribs were so tender and falls off the bones. The Sambal is no joke, the spice will make you sweat even from just a tiny pinch. But it's the real deal. Mee goreng was really tasty. Decent sized portion too. Got a double yolk, yay! And the portion seem to have shrunk over time for the Batagor, but the sauce is really good though. Got more pricey, snifff... Rendang portion seems bit small as well in comparison to the rice.. Kangkung belacan wasn't spicy and was a good vege dish. Wonton Noodle soup was tasty with big juicy wontons. Heartwarming. Very quick service for the food.
S.
This place has some of the best Indonesian Food in Adelaide. Their signature dish is the deep fried Tilapia Fish and the sambal is spicy, pungent and just delicious go check them out two locations City & Parkside!!!
J. L.
This place was recommended by a friend of mine. And I have to agree, this place offers really good food. The service is pretty quick and the value isn't that bad. It's a shame I wasn't able to try more of the other dishes. I look forward on trying the rest of the food on their menu.
C. I.
From main dish i have tried there beef ribs, whole fried tilapia and fried chicken.. all comes with rice, chickhen stock and a special sauce..
Whole fried tilapia is really tasty and large in size.
Beef grill ribs is also tasty.. was a bit dry at time.. i was expecting it to be a bit juicy..
Fried chicken was not good at all.. the chicken did not taste fresh and also it was dry..
On finger food i have tried samosa.. it was okay.. not uniqur in taste not bad..
Overalll food here is good if you like indo malay flavor.. there sauce is really hot that comes with the chicken and beef.. 🔥
C. G.
Was a bit skeptical when I walked in this place. Walking in and smelling the malay/indo aroma, this place is reminiscent of a warung!
After savoring the food, I was immediately taken back into Asia. Fantastic value for money & authencity! Large portions as well!
This is definitely an awesome place to go if you’re looking to remember Bali/ Kuala Lumpur!

We were after something different for dinner instead of Thai, Viet or Chinese and happened to stumble across this great Indonesian restaurant. Friendly service and huge portion sizes. The beef rendang was SO good that we even got another serve. The satay was also delicious so we got another serve of those also - whoops...
A. K. H.
Ayam Balado, Chicken Satay and Water Spinach.. everything’s delicious.. totally recommended..
T. M.
I really like this place. It's not "fine dining" but the food is amazing and the staff are really friendly and the prices are great. Very authentic Indonesian food. The best I've had in Adelaide. Like I said, it's not silver service but that's not what they're trying to be. Very, recommended for quick and delicious lunch or dinner.
S. T.
The food was amazing. Sambal was not too spicy which I like it the most and the size of tilapia was big. Good portion, friendly staff, very clean and reasonable price for student like me😊
M.
Good and very prompt food! Highly recommended especially if you have cravings for south east asian flavours.
B. A.
Great little restaurant! The food was fantastic, the fish dish was so tasty, very authentic! The food came out 5 mins after we ordered, the service was friendly, the prices were reasonable, we will definitely be back, one of my favourite places now!
m. l.
Authentic tasting Indonesian restaurant. Excellent service, fast and efficient, clean. Delicious food. Will definitely be back. Oh, forgot to take a photo of the satay sticks before we got stuck in, they were so good!
A. H.
5 star rated for food!! The staff are friendly and take their time to listen to you or help with suggestions to get what you really want. I have been there twice and the experiences as been great. Would return for sure.
Food prep didn’t take too long even when crowded. They serve all halal food, so it is a Muslim friendly Indonesian restaurant.
You get filtered drinking water for free. If you are a spicy food lover ask them to add spicy sauce on fried Tilapia and you get a huge exploding spicy dish made for you.
Love this place, the food and the people. Highly recommend place in the center of the city.
I wish they open till late and weekends.
A.
Consistently delicious, authentic Indonesian food. Great prices and really quick service. There’s a reason the local Indonesian community flock to this place. Simple ‘cafe’ style decor and no alcohol - but they have a huge range of fresh made juices & soft drinks. Highly recommended!
L. V.
Loving this little indonesian gem. Nice 'n clean, friendly and delicious food. Satays yummy and not to heavy - a lot different to the traditional chinese satays. The rice cake served with it delicious. Also had takeaway March 2020 and beef rendang was yummy too. Forgot to take photo of dry beef balls noodle soup but that was delicious (had in may 2021)

Dinner at Pondok Daun: great traditional Indonesian food at great prices. Very delicious overall! Always a pleasure to go back for food 🙂.
.
Indonesian dumplings /siomay Bandung: good dish with tasty sauce.
.
Gado gado: Indonesian salad. Mildly spicy. Nice standard dish.
.
Ngohiang / loh bak: similar to the Malaysian version. Tasty!
.
Cah Kangkong: standard dish across Malaysia and Indonesia - this one is only slightly spicy, but pretty good.
.
Cassava chips / singkang goreng: just something different! Nice and crispy.
.
Ayam balador: fried chicken dish with moderate spicy sauce. Really good!
.
Ayam goreng: just simple fried chicken dish - can't go wrong with this one 😋😋😋.
.
Pecel Lele: fried fish dish - a reliably good one!
.
Desserts: es campur and es teler - both quite refreshing at the end of the meal.
S. K.
Super delicious and authentic Indonesian food!!! Absolutely love the Grilled Beef Ribs! 😁
Very friendly staff =) The food is served pretty quickly. Good prices. Usually busy since the food is so good! Always love eating here!!👌
J. H.
Great food, friendly, welcoming staff, quick service (dine in & takeaway), well priced. Big menu, plenty of veg/vegan options. My goto place for a quick and satisfying lunch. They do dinner too.
B. K.
Authentic Indonesian restaurant in the heart of the city. Decor is a little tired, although staff are friendly and food is nice.
Order at the counter and collect your utensils and water at the side.
Loh bak was excellent as is the chicken satay with peanut sauce and ketupat, and the belacan kangkong. The char kway teow is so-so.
C. L.
What a delight to discover this place. Authentic, delicious food, good price, excellent service. True traditional satay, love the peanut sauce and rice cakes. Will definitely be back again.
S. O.
Best teh tarik in adelaide. Every meal I've had has been a delight. Complimentary prawn crackers add a nice touch.
K. C.
Delicious and authentic Indonesian food.
Reasonable price and good service, foods serve really fast. Highly recommended
M. P.
Consistent, clean and super friendly service!
Must try their fried batagor, crispy duck. Satay with Peanut sauce is delish, good kick of homemade sambal, love the fish cake, chicken curry, rendang and stir fry selections. Sweet and addictive ayam kecap.. so many variety to try, and in my experience they all come with Massive portion worth every $$ Good job guys and terima kasih :)
H. J.
Great customer service and the meals i had here several times were authentic. I had mee goreng and ayam penyet, really recommend these 2 dishes from Pondok Daun. Great Indonesian food in Adelaide!
Z. M.
Authentic flavour ! Always consistent with the flavour and the quality ! Love the Ayam penyet. Always walk in and order from Ubereat at here. So far never disappoint us ! Keep it up guys !
X. P.
This little restaurant is a gem in Adelaide city. Nice staff, clean and comfortable dinning environment, good value of dishes that taste really good. This is exactly what a joyful experience of having authentic street food should like.
F. K.
Authentic Indonesian halal food.. tried nasi goreng and the lamb curry with rice... both were delicious
F. T.
Great Indo food, great service also very reasonable prices. Doesn't look like much, but you can tell that they take pride in what they do. Keep up the great food!
👍👍👍
J. R.
Lovliest staff, attentive customer service and genuine Indonesian cooking. The girls at the counter always smiling and reconmended dishes and spiciness.
Will add this to my authentic asian restaurants list.
D. S. S.
Different cuisine. Has similarities in taste with Bangladeshi food. Love their fish fry. Good amount of serving portion. Only problem is it is in curry street. So very difficult to find parking near the restaurant.
M. M. F.
Amazing food and extremely friendly staff. Can't wait to visit there again.
R. S.
Was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint! Spicy and delicious. Hit the spot
J. L.
Excellent service. Great food. Highly recommended.
D. R.
Good prices for Indonesian food. Char kway teow is pretty nice and quite spicy! Will try out their hainan chicken rice next time.
r.
First time ordering in, and I was happy with my meal except for the spiciness levels. I saw the place from the outside a few days ago on my ride home so tonight I ordered via ubereats feeling pretty excited to try Indonesian for the first time. The delivery was here within 20mins, even with the 33kmph wind and showers going on outside.
The food was reasonably proportioned for the price, though I would've been more happy with a larger portion of the slow cooked sweet beef. It certainly satisfied though, and there were some leftovers. My main point of concern was the spiciness. The ordering system on ubereats did not ask me how spicy I wanted it, and everything was 9/10 spicy by default.
I am a huge spicy food fan but it wasn't what I was aiming for tonight, and I ended up tearing up quite a lot (fortunately not because of my emotions haha). The beef was flavourful but not as soft as I would've liked slow cooked beef to be. I would ideally gave given 4.6 stars, but I've rounded it up to a 5 (as I have no choice! Google could be a little more functional in that sense).
Overall, I was happy with my experience and I'd be happy to order again (except this time I'd probably put in a note asking for less chilli in my dishes).
s.
Food was really good. service was really friendly too.but the dessert was really icy.
Didn't give that snowy tecture.
T. v. d. W.
Good food, good taste but please do something about the decoration......
A. A. J.
Affordable but delicious Indonesian food served by friendly staffs. A must try in Adelaide
C. J. L.
This place is one of my favourites in City. I love their Char Kawy Teow Seafood.
D. H.
with so many CBD restaurants in Adelaide taking voluntary closure as a result of COVID, we were happy to find this one open. But the rice was cold, the fish overcooked and the prawn crackers stale, hopefully things improve as the Adelaide community learn to "live with COVID"
A. A.
Great service, the food came out very quickly and as always it tastes amazing
M. S.
Truth the Nasi Goreng and take Potato Croquettes, both were amazing! Will be back to try more of the menu
S. S.
Tasty variety of dishes on offer here.Enjoy the lamb curry the most and ice jackfruit.Clean restaurant with friendly efficient staff in a convenient location.
d. p.
Great meal with very affordable meals. We are visiting Adelaide and can't wait to come back so we can eat here again.
S.
This place is one little hidden gem who sells tasty food with super fresh ingredients and in abundance at an extremely reasonable price.
The shop and facilites are very basic and simple, perhaps a reason for keeping prices low.
We loved their veg spring rolls so much so that we order 3 times. hokkein noodles and mixed veg stir fry was a winner for us. We would love to come back!!
G. Q.
Delicious food and super fast service. Can't recommend this small restaurant highly enough
D. R.
Authentic Indonesian food. Well priced with friendly service. Great Gado-gado
A. L.
Delicious Indonesian cuisine. Their stew beef and fried noodles (kuey teow) were both well made.. Communication can be poor as my friend asked for extra serving of meat but instead was charge for two meals (instead of just meat serving) .
N. T.
Good food, reasonably priced and sizeable portion. Very good waiter.
A. Q.
Food's absolutely delicious! Service is super quick too.
S. B.
Very genuine generous serving. Great price too.
J. G.
Better than the one on Parkside! definitely have more flavour and better size.
L. F.
Small but not too small place, we need to wait for the next table when busy time comes, they have an optional menu, fast service, wonderful taste, I try chicken noodles (mie ayam) the taste was really fantastic maknyusss, I've a great day in Adelaide after I try one of those food, good job!
M. B.
Feels just like being in holiday again! The staff were warm and friendly, the food was generous, authentic and very tasty and came out quickly. I'll be back and have recommended to all my friends :)
J. M.
What an awesome little restaurant! Friendly staff, quick service and the food is fantastic! I had the satay sticks and rice. Enjoyed every morsel. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu (I got mine takeaway and was privy to a few dishes of food being taken out to customers dining in......they all looked so good!)
R. S.
Absolutely good food.
Quick service
Friendly staff.
D. G.
Yummy food, quick serving, not expensive, and friendly staff! 👍 Usually there is free dessert in Ramadan but it seems not organized it for this year. 👎
M. S. (. T.
Great authentic Indonesian food. Super fast service.
E. K.
Great restaurant, friendly staff and great taste of foods
N. P.
Huge servings and friendly staff, definitely going back soon
S. J.
Good food for a reasonable price. And the portions are quite alright too. Loved their fried rice.
R. D.
Fast, tasty, a good variety of Asian dishes
G. D.
This little gem in the CBD always delivers on price and quality. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food is beautifully presented and very tasty. Give it a try....you won't be disappointed. 😊
c.
Mantap! But the portion was so big for me or asian stomach.
Can only finish half of it.
R. S.
Food was okay, the size was quite generous, and the people were very friendly. We would suggest the Chicken Satay and Nasi Uduk Empal. They are good. If you drive, be warned that parking is extremely hard to find and can be very frustrating to find- especially up to 7:00 PM, when there was a dedicated bus lane outside the premise.
w. h.
There was a huge fish! You can share it with 2-3 person. Pempek was delicious. Everything was good
M. B. B. K. H. K.
The best place to get authentic and halal South East Asian food in Adelaide City. Generous serving size, delicious and authentic tasting food (which I can verify having come from South East Asia), and fantastic service - we didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes to get everything that we ordered. This is now my go-to place to get food that reminds me of home (Singapore/Malaysia/Indonesia).
K. V.
Delicious, authentic Indonesian food. Generous portions and excellent prices.
r. o.
Good food, friendly staff. Love it
M. H. (. W.
Best indonesian restaurant ,
I like nasi goreng and mee goreng most.
T. B.
Very delicious food. The Fish is crispy. Yummy
O. C.
Good food and fast service. It's an order at the counter place, and it is reflected in the very reasonable prices! Plenty to choose from the extensive Indonesian menu with some firey Sambal.
S. R.
Excellent food, not your usual 'Asian' type food. Cozy and comfortable, although tables are packed close together. I tried the chocolate/cheese/milk bread and it wasn't nice. Slow cooked chicken was excellent. All meals except the bread were excellent and spicy, cheap drinks, friendly staff and quick service. Closed Sundays.
M. F.
On a day where everything was closed, my partner and I decided to go grab some food at the only open place on our street. Best decision ever. Absolutely amazing food, with lots of veggo options and really great service. 10/10 would go again.
M. d. R.
Food is delicious, cheap and quick, staff are really friendly.
L. J. C.
I love your grilled beef ribs people! It is really the best! Plus the customer service is amazing! Friendly staff and happy. I will definitely come back.
H. S.
Nice place for some Indonesian food. Prices are really good, servings are worth it. Staff are nice and friendly. Food is cooked fresh and served really quick. Just finding a car park that doesn't burn your pocket is a problem. But really great restaurant. We keep coming back for the food. Love the chilli belachan.
Z.
Every single time of my last visit, which happened to be at night, this place has always been packed. Pretty impressive for an Indonesian restaurant despite the the competition. Aside this one, I don't know other Indonesian restaurant around Adelaide that I know of so I can't really compare how the food is. Nevertheless, I liked the food.
V. C.
Fast service, friendly staff, big portions of food.
C. y.
Really nice food. I especially like the sweet beef coconut rice. I come here almost weekly, and they don’t disappoint! Their fried anchovies is a must! So crunchy, just slightly too salty though. Also their soup is a really nice addition when you eat too much rice, it gives a really nice compliment to the dish, except it is also a little salty as well (maybe too much msg?)
m. r.
I've had dinner at Pondok Daun Restaurant
a number of times and enjoy the experience very much.
Always received warmly, given a table and a menu then allowed to look over the various choices without pressure.
The food is delicious, fresh, authentic Indonesian.
A lovely meal, leaving you contented and nourished.
I. A.
Great food fresh fried. Not from the pot like in most lunch places
R. K.
Nice food...also serve halal. Nice staff
D. K.
When you think hearty, rich, and sumptuous Southeast Asian food, Pondok Daun is what instantly springs to mind.
Consistently delicious, affordable, and authentic Indonesian food, coupled with warm and friendly staff, will not only satisfy your hunger but make you feel at home with the Indonesian family you didn’t even know you were part of.
My personal favourite is the slow-cooked beef: succulent and tender beef braised in a tantalising sweet sauce, served with coconut rice. It’s a flavour bomb you won’t soon be forgetting.
Other stand outs like nasi goreng, ayam penyet, and gado gado are all equally mouth watering in their own right, and will keep you coming back.
What’re you waiting for? Don’t miss out on some of the best Asian food you can get in Adelaide city!
B. P.
Having visited Adelaide infrequently since 2007, I wonder why there are no Indonesian restaurant in this state. The community is there and growing , market definitely is there. Looks like the team at Pondok Daun also felt the same and raised to the challenge. Definitely their food is up there with other Indo Australian restaurant that exist in other state and since my fave is beef ribs, Pondok Daun definitely serve great beef ribs even when compared to the restaurant in Indonesia!
A must visit when you are in town and their beef ribs, ox tail soup or batagor definitely a must try!
K.
Very quick service. Friendly, helpful staff. The chicken curry was cold which is the only reason I have given a lower score. The rest of the meals were good. I would still recommend giving this place a go. I do not like luke warm food. Especially chicken dishes. This is subjective and may not be an issue for others. All others meals were hot and good.
W. B. V.
Probably the best Indonesian Restuarant on Adelaide! Very affordable prices! And definitely delicious food! Love it! Always try to get some food from Pondok whenever we are in the city.
P.
Beautiful tasty food at a great price - and they always make me feel welcome. One of my favourite places to have a relatively healthy lunch. (I have to say that 'cos their chocolate avocado smoothies are divine)!
L. J.
We go for our fix of beef rendang, which is authentic & delicious! Their 'belado' sauce dishes are awesome, as is the 'ayam penyet' (chicken coated in a very spicy sambal). YUM!
D. G.
Best affordable authentic Indonesian restaurant in Adelaide.
A. T.
Frequent this eating place almost once a month when I have a meeting across the road in the evening. Friendly service and fast in dishing out the orders. Pretty authentic dishes amongst the menu with my favourite being the Soto Ayam. Loved it and is my usual order every visit, though it's pretty sinful. :P
A. I.
Great tasting Indonesian food in Adelaide 👍
C. S.
The food in this restaurant is always fresh and tasty. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. I visit this restaurant often and my favourite dish is slow cooked beef with coconut rice. Keep up the good work!.
Z.
amazing! would highly recommend :)
G. E.
Great food. Didn't realise we had to order at the register, so we just sat there for a bit.
Once we actually got the idea, the food came quickly and we were very impressed. Amazing flavours and wonderful textures with the vermicelli noodles. Spicy MEANS spicy, but so fresh and invigorating. Thankyou. Awesome 5 spice cakes for entree.
K. J.
I don't know how people can turn this place away considering each dish is simple, delicious, and cheap! I've been visiting this place frequently these last 3 years and I don't be stopping anytime. Great food, cheap price and faster than imaginable. Will definitely be back for more. Recommend Beef Rendang. I popped in here to get something quick and easy. The Chicken Nasi Goreng was amazingly tasty and only $11-80. I’ll certainly be back with my family 😊
E. O.
I've been coming here once-twice a week for the past month and a half on my lunch breaks, most of the time I try something different. Very affordable and filling. Never once have I disliked any dish. 9/10 times the meal is on your table with in 5 minutes of ordering.
If you're looking for quality food then Pondok Duan is the place to go!
E. M.
Last time I reviewed this place, I was hesitant to give it full stars so it sat at a 4. Since then, I have truly and honestly haven't found any Indonesian food that has surpassed the quality and flavours Pondok Daun dishes up. In fact it's really difficult to find good food at such a cheap price, so I'd definitely be calling PD a hidden-gem for sure!
W. N.
Lovely place, authentic taste and flavour. super friendly service. Been visited this place couples of time ever since I moved to Adelaide. Worth to try!
J. H.
Best Nasi Lemak in Adelaide. Delicious, fresh ingredients, with a variety of handmade drinks such as Teh Tarik and ginger tea. The staff are lovely and the cafe is relaxing and welcoming.
K. G.
My go to restaurant whenever I’m up for Indonesian food. I personally enjoy their Ikan Bakar and Ayam Penyet. I wish they made the Sambal a littlebit more spicier but it’s still good. Been a regular and will always be!
B. G.
Quaint and absolutely delicious. We had the chicken satay, nasi goreng and the whole fish - everything was beautiful, flavoursome and very well priced. Licking our plates!
S. E.
In a strategic location, easy to find although have to park our car a bit far (at P building), easy reservation, delicious & various Indonesian f&b (the only one we've found so far in Adelaide), fulfilling portions with good price. Went there twice for family dinner & lunch, and definetely will go again!
L. T.
Awesome food, prices are fairly reasonably cheap, never wait too long for the food to be served on the table and friendly staff too. Decor isn’t great but who cares?! We come here almost every week. Grilled chicken abd coconut juice are my favourites.
N. G.
My rating is based on it being tasty food and inexpensive. Not fancy, but perfect for lunch.
R. J.
Delicious food, good service and reasonably priced. Portion sizes are decent too. Good restaurant to visit for authentic Indonesian food.
H. D.
Really nice food. Satay chicken entree a bit thin but delicious. Quick and friendly service. Definitely recommend
L. C.
Their food make me feels like back in my home town
N. F.
The best authentic Indonesian cuisines in town. The foods and the songs played there make we feel like in Indonesia. The staff can also speak Bahasa.
F. M.
I love this place. Always fast service and fantastic food.
B. V.
Where else can you fill up to bursting point on superb authentic Indonesian food for less than $10? Unbelievably good food at a great price. Indonesian food is spicy, but you get the option of non spicy too. Fabbo. Give it a go.
O. V. (.
Very yummy, reasonable price and fast service. Super friendly.
S. L.
Always amazing food, and plentiful humble and real Indonesian dishes to choose all from a great price.
H. E.
Ikan Nila menu is my favorite meal here and Adelaide. I feel like eating all you can eat since the size is satisfying.
C. K.
Authentic Indonesian Food at its best!
Fast service, seriously fast.
And they have a 5* Dept of Health food rating, somthing that is hard to get, I also have one so I should know, well done to all the crew!
What a wonderful find this place is, we looked online for Malay/Indonesian restaurants and found Pondok and immediately did a U turn and headed for the city, parking is a hassle but well worth the effort.
We were pleasantly suprised with the menu options and immediately ordered a starter and two Nasi Goreng mains, 1 Chicken and 1 Anchovy both spicey, and a side of kangkung balacan which itself was amazing!, followed with Iced Teh Tarik and Iced White Coffee (water is complimentary self serve, same with cutlery etc), true to indonesian style.
My partner is Malaysian so halal is important and there was not a pork dish in sight, excellent!
Im an Exec Chef and having worked extensively throughout SE Asia, thus, I think I am well qualified to rate this establishment highly.
Don't miss this place, look for the green light sign out the front, #94 Currie St, Adelaide CBD, (Currie street - mmmm no pun intended).
Thank you for a delightful authentic meal, we will most definately be back soon.
Terima Kasih banyak.
M. B.
This food, the flavours, transported me back to Bandung, a city that will have a place in my heart forever. Great food, great prices. A must for anyone who knows their Indonesian cuisine.
U. Y.
Very delicious. Large serving and quick service. One of the best lunch place for TAFE students.
M. M.
The last 4 weeks of December the quality and quantity has diminished considerably. I asked why had 4 fingernail pieces of meat in my noodles dish. They explained it was a new chef. The sizes are getting smaller. The quality is cheapening. A sign they are tired.
D. V.
Always delicious traditional Indonesian food. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food arrives in a flash!
S. N.
Murah2 dan enak. I highly recommend this Indonesian restaurant lovely food , reminds me of my travels through the beautiful country of Indonesia .
A. S.
Best Indonesian food in Adelaide. Good menu, relatively cheap. Right in the heart of CBD( though parking can be a problem). Would be great of they do delivery by Ubereats.
A. C.
Fantastic food and service. Amazingly consistent every time.
R. H.
Some of the most authentic, tasty and affordable Indonesian food I've had in Australia. Highly recommended the rendang. Enak sekali!
R. U. G.
Nothing beats Pondok Daun!!!! Best indo food EVER!!!!!
K. E. M. &. E. P.
Recently had a solo dining experience here and was very impressed. The food was wonderful, but it was the attentive and helpful staff that made all the difference. I will definitely be returning.
T. S.
If you want to taste Indonesian foods, they have a wide range of selections which won't dissappoint your taste buds. The only thing that I want more is the sambal.. more spicy pleeeease... lol
S. M.
Great food, staff and atmospher.
N. K.
Amazing prices, some of the food is also very simular to the local indonesian food, athough the decoration and the way the seat are organized is not very satisfactory
W. O.
Good Indonesian food for a reasonable price, quick service and friendly staff. What more could you ask for
M. H.
Food is tasty, service is fast and the staff care for their customers.
Their seafood and chicken noodles and rice are amazing.
V. G.
Really good comfort food. Has so many options. Have been here 3 times and food is always good. Love the sunday service here....
V. D.
This Indonesian restaurant has a wide range of selections. I had Smashed Chicken in Penyet Sauce ('Ayam Penyet') and it was spicy as. Also, this restaurant has mean durian smoothie which I truly recommend to anyone who is interested in exotic Asian food.
F. L.
Pondok Daun got one of the best chilli sauces in Adelaide. Forget Sriracha, Tabasco or ABC, this chilli sauce is out-of-this-world tasty and spicy.
Sop buntut & sop iga (oxtail soup & beef ribs soup) are must try dishes. Will come back for more.
K. A.
Yum! Had delivery and it was delicious
H. v. R.
Great and authentic Indonesian food, at a very reasonable price. Quick service which is nice during a quick lunch break. Will definitely come again.

It is a basic Indonesian eatery that serves good food cheaply. The beef rendang was terrific and well with traveling to experience but the gado-gado was a little watery.
