Couldn't fault the food. The wrap was tasty and didn't take too long. I didn't have high expectations as it is a bit ramshackle and it didn't strike me as being a 'well oiled machine' - but they've been open for ages so must be doing something right.

Recommend this Cafe highly. I had brunch there today and the food was cooked to perfection. There was a bit of a wait but not too long considering it was so busy. It was my first time there but it won't be my last.

From the friendly warm greeting you get from the owner as you enter, to the fresh crisp and delicious seafood they have on offer, this truly is the perfect little stop off cafe on your trips along the coast of South Australia. As a local Scottish migrant, this cafe gave me happy fond memories of my time growing up in Scotland as I chose to sit outside on an overcast chilly yet beautiful winter day. The views out to the waves from where you sit was a great addition to my afternoon coffee.

We went for a walk on the Christies beach esplanade and so great was the weather we had lunch at the Ripple and Swirl Cafe. My wife had a beautiful battered fish and chips with a tasty salad while I went for a lamb wrap(aka lamb yiros) also quite tasty. Both went well with a glass of Riesling. We also had coffee which was well made also. Great lunch, great venue (looking out to the beach) with good friendly table service. What more could you want. Ps., I never give 5 stars we could always do better.

Christies beach. So relaxing, it's just a delightful area. Safe place to swim. Lifesaver monitoring. I sat on a seat with a friend and just let the world pass by. Cafe, fish and chips. It's good.

I had a special with garfish and chips and coleslaw. Fish was chewy and dry and about 2mm thick. Chips were great. Coleslaw was just chunky bitter cabbage with dressing. I have had other dishes that have been excellent in the past. Nicely presented, clean with friendly staff.

I have eaten at ripple and swirl cafe a few times and always been happy. Unfortunately, I ordered take away chips and left unhappy. $5 for small chips, and there was maybe a handful of chips in a massive bag. I was disappointed, thought why such a big bag with barely any chips. I then went down the road to champions take away and was satisfied with their $5 chips. Ripple and swirl left me waiting for a while for not many chips, and they weren't busy. Can of coke for $4, I have never seen this so expensive before. I will not be going back to the ripple and swirl cafe again. I have always been happy eating in but that one order has made me not want to go back.

Didn’t like the food. We can feel no love in it. Chicken sandwich was dry, rye toast with avo and feta was too thick and only a bit of avo with just a few drops of feta under it. Poached Egg was cooked good but was already a bit cold when we got it. Smoothie was nice and a coffee too. Overpriced for such poor quality of food. Great view if you can get a table outside. Dogs friendly and they are everywhere.
