Boneless wings were an easy 10/10, fries were pretty average. Burgers were great, gave off an American diner vibe, the only thing that would’ve made them better would’ve been a more gourmet patty. Other than that, definitely a decent place to get a burger & wings.

Returned to Stax tonight. Excellent experience. Was recommended the "Hillbilly" and it was a great choice, beef, chicken, bacon, onion rings, pickles - what's not to love??! Brilliant American style burgers. They have the basics down pat. We opted for the “Dressed” burger which was a beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and pickles. Top quality Ingredients. Will be back again to try the other burgers

Stax has delicious burgers and also delicious fries with great seasoning. Very addictive! Their burger buns are super soft and the ingredients always taste fresh and yummy. The menu is extensive with different burgers, chicken and wings. Staff are friendly and it’s a good vibe. They advertise $10 mad Monday burgers or $15 off menu ones (advertised on the menu board inside) but then said they’re not doing the promotion anymore - you’d think they’d cover or remove the sign if they’re no longer doing it.. checked their Instagram and the highlight also advertises it still 🤔. I’ll still give them 5 stars because the food is that good 😌

The burgers are amazing value and the chips are great as well. Thick shakes taste great but could be a bit bigger for better value. However, you cannot get water for free but have to pay for it instead. This greatly disadvantaged our experience. But overall I'm almost certain I'll come here again

Dirty and nasty burgers. In a good way. Went for the Monday deal as it made it more worth it. Else it would be on the pricey side. Burgers were delicious, great beef patties. Spicy jalapeños. The fried chicken in the burger is quite a thin piece.. Wings were alright, would've been better if they were crispier, sweet potato fries as well, lacked the crisp. Loaded fries were good and tastes light with all the fresh salad toppings. Thick shake was thick and yummy. Strawberry flavour is the best. Very busy place and can be a long wait during peak hours. Even though they have the app, the wait is still quite long.

I am not a burger fan at all however I came here just today and was so impressed that I’m already reviewing it. Great variety, slightly pricy, but the food was really tasty! I enjoyed a classic chicken burger and my fave part - barely if not no grease! The chips were flavoursome and crunchy, and the dipping sauces were delicious. Quick lunch at Stax: overall the burgers are pretty reasonable, but not our favourite. There's nothing wrong with them, just personal preference. . Fried chicken burger: the fried chicken was quite nice - good tender meat. Bun was soft. Other condiments were okay. . Vegetarian burger with haloumi: the haloumi was good but not squeaky enough. Delicious Feed & Friendly Staff, not for the frugal-minded. Bought the Family Meal (4 Beef burgers, 2 boxes of chips as seen in photo) with 2 Thickshakes to share between two people, totaling $30.50 per person. Reasonable price considering that the food tasted amazing and we struggled to finish it all on the spot (had to take some chips home to be eaten afterwards), and the place is also located in the nicer part of Prospect. I'd recommend Stax Burger co. for anyone wanting a delicious feed and don't mind spending a few extra dollars for premium food and service. Until this very day, I truly misunderstood the meaning of 'burger', nigh, words cannot even begin to describe the true taste of a stax burger. Upon viewing advertisements of this fine establishment, I merely thought this place was a greasy burger joint in prospect. My judgment was severely incorrect and I believe in a heaven now. Not one of gods, but of delicious juicy meat, perfect pickles, cheesey cheese and beautiful burger buns. Upon entry the friendly staff noticed I was a new comer and directed me to a table and told me to order when I was ready. I approached the counter and received a friendly greeting and I was told how to order my future wife in burger form that I would make love to. The cooking and service of my burger was quick and before me I saw an assembly if fine ingredients that had been labelled as the stax burger. As if forged by gods, it was beautiful. Upon first bite I was transported to a new world. A world without war, a world where the world was united, a world where a burger was the embodiment of the solution to our sorrowful planets problems. A tear was shed from my eye, the kind of tear you get when you see a happy movie, when you see a beautiful sunset and all in the world seems okay. I finished my burger. A feeling of deep satisfaction that was somewhat tainted with the sadness of finishing such a specimen of burger. I would like to thank Stax Burger Co. For this amazing experience that I will remember for eternity and in my future lives if I am reincarnated. God speed Stax Burger Co. You have surpassed the burger hall of fame and will continue to climb in fame as you should.

I ordered the 'Dressed' burger with fries and an extra Stax sauce tub via the app and got $10 off! The app was fairly easy to use; every burger you ordered you could customise i.e. no pickles, add lettuce, extra patty etc. The burger was delicious. The beef patty was tender, it had the right amount of sauce and the 'potato' bun very soft. The chips had a salty but also kind of a sweet seasoning to it. Super crispy which is a must! The chips didn't need a sauce but I ordered the extra sauce anyway because I'm an avid burger eater and like to try each burger joint's signature sauce. Side note: I like that each table had a sign saying, "this table has been sanitised." Very covid-safe!

Not a bad experience, but it was unclear to us how to order when we were told to sit down but we didn’t receive a menu, or get told to download an app to order, or to order at the front so we sat awkwardly for about 10 mins until realising ourselves.. QR code’s to promote use of app ordering would be useful on tables, or some signs. Nice layout but the chairs are a little big for the restaurant space with the booths (especially if you sit in the end one). In terms of food the chips were so delicious and salty, the crispy strips were amazing but dipping sauces a bit average.. I had a beef burger which was quite nice but wasn’t overly hot when served and it was fresh but I think the lack of heat made it seem a little less fresh? Service was pretty fast and I love that you could pay $5 for a re-fill cup too. Would like to try the chicken burgers in future.

The burgers were actually phenomenal and the service very friendly however this is all getting overshadowed by how long the food takes as they're so understaffed! We were told when we ordered there's a 25 minute wait however we waited close to an hour for 4 burgers. Don't get me wrong once the food finally came it was amazing. Can't fault the staff as there clearly just isn't enough of them. I would still highly recommend, you just have to be prepared to wait a while!

Phenomenal. I'm a bit of a burger enthusiast and these are some of the best burgers I've had. Patties are cooked perfectly and juicy, ingredients are fresh and I actually really enjoy the Stax sauce, it's a fresh change from the usual garlic or big mac sauce knock offs most burger places try to do. The chips are amazing, I was so full and still couldn't stop eating them, perfectly seasoned and each as crunchy as the last. The free refills caught us by surprise and was a pleasant change to the usual single serve that every other place gives. Staff were excellent and you could tell they have a passion for serving good, high quality food which absolutely shows in their meals. Can't recommend this place enough, 10/10 will be back as a regular.

Brilliant burger, brilliant service most of time as when it get flat out whoever is working the front can get swamped. When they have 5 customers lined up and the bell ringing for food service you can see the stress on the servers faces. When the owner is there you can see him step up and help deliver the food out which is great. But again the food is great top notch. Never had a issue at Stax ever and I am someone that goes once or twice a week.

Given the absolute rave of this joint on a few FB burger places I was expecting god tier level burgers and what I got was more like one of Zues' half breeds. The taste was pretty average, not too good, not bad though, the buns taste super sweet, almost like one of the McDonald's brioche buns, I ordered the Stax burger and was a little disappointed at the oiliness of the parties. All in all, yeah it was alright, a little bit on the pricey side though.

I have been to Stax Burger Co. several times now and it was exceptional every time. What I do like about their burgers is that don't have unique ingredients but they are simple ingredients but executed perfectly every time. Consistency is very important to me when it comes to burgers and Stax delivers. I have tried their chicken and beef burgers, both were juicy and the chips were so good. I definitely will be returning over and over, I highly recommend this place.

Food is on another level to any burger bar in Adelaide I've eaten at and staff were friendly. However, the price is a lot higher and It took at least 40 minutes for 3 burgers to arrive. if you are paying the premium then the burger should be prompt, just like ii is at the competition. Burgers are smaller than most other burger restaurants around, however the balance of flavours they achieve more than makes up for this. Not a single ingredient is overpowering, they complement each other perfectly. Both the potato and sweet potato fries are well seasoned and perfectly crunchy. The sauces are quite good, I would suggest purchasing both and alternating between the flavours to gain maximum enjoyment. The shakes aren't as thick as one would expect normally, however they have wonderful flavour, just as the burgers and fries did. Stax have really nailed the balance of flavours throughout their menu. Highly recommend downloading the stax app and looking through the off menu burgers, as well as the frequent offers.

Fantastic as usual. These guys have hit the mark again. From the Mount to here, they are smashing it. Their location is perfect. Can not fault the burger, I had the Stax burger, loved the chicken tender inside. I tried one of the alternative colas and again really enjoyed it. Atmosphere great, and it’s great to see a quality burger joint in this area, walking distance for me! My one gripe, and it was def enough to drop an otherwise excellent experience down to a 4 star one was the chips, way too much salt. You can always add a bit more if that’s your preference, but perhaps a bit less to begin with?

Tasty and fresh! Probably wont go back though because the burgers are pretty small. Haloumi burger ($14 or so) is the only veg burger and not very filling. Pribably better to get one of their bigger burgers with all those extra fillings because the buns and patties are fairly small. Also felt for the girl serving as it was super busy and there was only one staff member on register.

Best burgers i've had in Adelaide. Consistently excellent presentation and quality. They have a range of "freak"-style towering behemoth burgers, but dont misinterpret this place as gimmicky. They make solidly delicious burgers that are great examples of how great the humble burger can be. Highly recommend, don't sleep on this place.

Whilst I think the burgers are the best I've ever had, I have a few concerns. Firstly, customer service is lacking, staff are not overly friendly or make you very welcome. Secondly, was not impressed with how dirty the tops of the bench chair along the wall were. There was a dead fly right above where we were seating, which my daughter tried to touch, I then killed a mini spider right next to her, whilst dusting her hands off from touching the top of the bench seat to get the fly. Lastly, the prices are a sticking point. My son wanted nuggets, so we ordered the crispy strips, whilst delicious, his meal essentially cost us over $20 with fries. But yes I can't fault the food. Just concerned for the owners that staff and costs will let this venue down.
