Tasty food, decent price, quick service. However, service was abrupt and borderline rude when we weren't quite ready to order. Overall environment could do with a deep clean as the table felt sticky even after it had been wiped over. Floors and seating looking a bit worn and needing a little freshening up.

The best 生煎包 and 小笼包 place in Adelaide. Super tasty! The spring onion oil noodle was a bit plain though. My boyfriend said next time we’ll order nothing but as many Grilled Buns as we could eat. 🤣🤣
H. L.
Lunch at Wongderful: love the food here! The flavours probably won't suit everyone, but if you like this style of Chinese food, you'll like coming here. I think lunch time is better than dinner time, as they sometimes run out of certain things by dinner time.
.
Pork chop noodle soup: I wish the pork chop was better cooked, but the flavours were good! Nice bowl of noodle soup 😋.
.
Fried dough: always love fried dough / 油条!
.
Cold dishes: smashed cucumbers and seaweed! Always love these dishes 😋🤤.
.
Xiaolongbao / 小笼包: one of the best in Adelaide! The skin was not too thick and not too thin, and didn't break up when you pick it up. There was lots of soup inside as well. Really good 🤤🤤😍😍.
.
Red bean pancake: good dessert option 😃.

The food is excellent in town, I don‘t know why there’s so many bad review for this restaurant, but as a local guide,I would definitely recommend to dine in this restaurant. Although the service might not be the best, but the xialong bao is really good, The meat is really tender and the meat juice is well conserved inside the outer skin , which makes it become a very successful dish. The price is excellent, only 9.8$ for a basket.

Great dumplings. A little too sweet n fatty for my taste but still excellent in the made to order approach as opposed to instant/frozen premade material. Must try must visit. Keep up the great work!

Our favourite family restaurant for Shanghai soup dumplings in Adelaide. All dumplings are freshly made and cooked as you order. There are steam or pan-fried dumplings. We like the traditional steam ones better. Eat them with the vinegar and other condiments provided. It's very satisfying to your taste buds. All dish are reasonably priced. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is the 1.5% surcharge imposed on credit card payments. Other than that, I strongly recommend the food there.

Food is awesome so good but the service is worst of all. Very sad and ungrateful staffs. Miss placed our orders not even apologetic and they made us wait for at least an half an hour again just for that order.

Looking for the best Xiao Long Bao in Adelaide, need to go here. It's not the best in Australia (Melbourne have some that are quite good, and of course can't beat Asian countries) but it's enough to satisfy. Very Juicy Dumplings. The noodles dishes are quite nice to. Service is nice and quick.
M. C.
The food I have eaten were all great but the noodles were a little expensive that I was expected. The dumplings called 小籠包 was typical dumpling which is juicy and delicious. Another dumpling that I tried were fried dumplings that the bottom of it has been fried but the top of it is still soft. Always be very careful because inside of the dumplings are really hot. The total experience was good for me. I would like to visit again. But if they give us water not by ourselves would be better.

best xiao long bao in town and reasonable pricing - which deserves 10/5 stars ⭐️
like in other reviews, service is different from the australian normal. however, in my experience, this is just the difference between chinese (or eastern asian in general) and australian culture. the service at Wong-derful is the same as restaurants in Beijing, Chongqing, Nanning, Xian and even Hanoi, Hoi An, Singapore and Seoul. As someone who grew up in Vietnam and have traveled around the world, I am in love with this little restaurant, because everything about it just feels so authentic and homey!
G. N.
Great food and experience here! The pan fried dumplings are fabulous. The staff are kind and helpful. Nice place.
D. T.
Good traditional Chinese restaurant. Very supportive staff. Very affordable and the menu has photos, which makes your life easier, if you don't know Chinese food 😉.

Quality hidden urban gem. Great authentic food, worth the trip after a recommendation from a friend. Would eat here again.
Place needs a good clean and a coat of paint, inside looks like it hasn’t seen any care or attention in years.
M. N.
Tasty 小笼包 steam pork juicy dumpling (soup dumpling), it’s the must try item on the menu. I also ordered the pan fried dumplings, plain noodles, pork chop noodles all of them are good but the soup dumplings are so authentic and one of the best I tried. Great value for money as the dumplings are all hand-made in the restaurant. The waitress were friendly and quick service.
E. B.
Great place for some delicious dumplings in town
M. T.
Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) were great.
K. c.
Probably the best soup dumplings I’ve had in Adelaide at decent prices. You order via a tablet so it’s easy to browse and get exactly what you want. Definitely have the spring onion noodles and big soup dumpling with a straw in it for the experience.

One of the staff was really rude, throws plate on table, but most of the other staff was very friendly, good was really good too just minus points for the staff that served us
J.
Their xiao long bao 小籠包 (steamed) are full of flavour, and are indeed ‘wongderful’.
S. L.
Above expectation for dumplings and xiao long bao. Definitely deserve a better rating!
g. s.
Food was standard, serving can be better and quicker, missed

Open from 10:30am Sunday

The pork soup dumplings were full of flavour and the noodles are delicious. The staff are friendly and proactively looked out for our needs.
What may lack in presentation redeems itself with great tasting food.
The prices are affordable.
N. T.
The staff would benefit from a hospitality course, as they're inattentive and sometimes are rude. However I need to give them 5 stars because the dumplings are the best in Adelaide! Try them and see for yourself! Don't be put off by the below average service
E. K.
Tried dumplings for the first time at this restaurant. And yummmy they are good! Food tasted amazing here. Even tried some spicy noodles and they also tasted great. Craved dumplings for weeks after coming here! Would definitely come back.
Only cons are the staff are a little unprofessional; they’re a bit slow and fail to look out for their customers if they need to call them over.
R. G.
Food was great and comes out the kitchen fast.
I feel they need more options on the menu and the ipad system needs work.
Currently you pick the items then must wave over the staff to finalize the order, it should allow the customer to send the order straight to the kitchen.
Look forward to seeing this place booked out once restrictions are lifted.
정.
Great taste but poor service. I had to walk just for a cup of water. There's no jug on each table.
M. A.
Excellent pork pan fried dumplings. Hard and crisp on the bottom and soft on the top. Lovely hot soup inside with lots of flavour. Pork was clean and soft. Very yummy! Highly recommend!
J. N.
Great value for money. Wonton soup so filling. Having condiments on table let you flavoured broth to your liking
m. k.
Ordered 2 pork xiao long bao and 1 crab filling xiao long bao, spring onion pancake and the rice roll thing with pork floss inside. Overall food was very good and filling. Dumplings came out steaming hot and fresh and the broth and meat tasted very delicious. I love the spring onion pancake it was just my type of thing. The rice roll thing was also very tasty with a variety of flavours and textures in it.
Meal was very satisfying and filling and a pretty decent price too. Only thing is service seems not the nicest - waitresses all seemed like they just wanted the day to end and go home. Nothing rude though.
Enjoyed would not mind coming back for authentic xlb.
R. L.
Restaurant is not the cleanest sometimes but their shanghai dumplings and pan fried dumplings are one of the best in town
E. M.
The soup dumplings here are where it's at. Other things on the menu are ok but the dumplings are without question the best I've ever had.
They are temperature hot so proceed with caution as to not burn your mouth bit if you can be patient with them they will melt in your mouth and blow your mind.
J. N.
Great xiao long bao, pan- fried dumplings and steamed dumplings- juicy and with authentic taste.
But the service is just fair and other food except those listed above are messy and very normal.
F. C.
One of the best Xiao Long baos and fried pork buns in Adelaide.
Y.
Great decoration and friendly staff, food is cheap and delicious. Strongly recommend soy custard (only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday)! Their portion is small but considering the low price you can actually try a lot of different dishes. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A. S.
Service is terrible but the soup dumplings are amazing. They throw you a iPad setup in Chinese, thankfully there’s pictures so you can order. The soup ones are the best, pan fried ones were average. #BeatTheGrind
M. P.
Fantastic, authentic Shanghai cuisine. Always love coming here with the family and having xiao long bao (soup and meat filled dumplings) - best I've had since Shanghai! Don't expect western-style service, this place is about the food.
L. L.
Soup dumplings are good and juicy, but the tables and the dining environment need lots of improvements. It’s quite dirty.
K. K.
The best dumpling place in Adelaide. Delicious! Can't wait to go back!
A. O.
Great xiao long buns, juicy, soft thin skin and only thing missing is fresh ginger slices!
A. S.
Excellent dumplings, and cold dishes. Fast service and reasonably priced. Have no complaints and would definitely be back!
P.
Pretty decent Shanghainese food. A few problems that is presented at this resteraunt is the service is sub-par, waiters are arrgogant or don;t understand english so well. Another problem is some of the food like the soups are basically flavourless
U.
The Xiao Long Bao are hand made and probably the best ones I've eaten in Adelaide. Just under $10 for 7 Bao. Worth every penny!
k. d.
Juicy! 3 steps to eat these delicious: suck juice, eat meat and bun skin!
T.
Good & inexpensive dumplings, don't expect service to be great 😅
F. P.
Foods is very good. However the stuffs services not really well. They seem don't want to provide the service, their faces show "the customers are very annoying." at all. You can go to eat but don't expect there is customer services.
N. N.
Smell and food looks amazing. First time here. Easy enough to order on ipad given when you first sit. Definitely an awesome chill place to come for date
J. I.
generally, their xiao long bao could be one of the best place in adelaide. But soymilk, sesame wonton and noodle is a must “NOT” to try, tastes awful, heaps three stars only.
W. O.
The male staff member at the counter has the nastiest attitude in Chinatown. However the pan fried pork buns are actually good.
A. P.
The xiao long baos here are seriously delicious, and they're so cheap too! The only problem is the customer service could be improved...but those dumplings are heavenly I recommend going just for them!
L. N. L.
I always order the xiao long baos (soup dumplings) and sheng jian baos (pan fried soup dumplings) here. Am not overly fond of other things in the menu but the dumplings more than make up for it.
R. V.
One of the best dumplings in town..
Love the food n the service..

Xiao Long Bao, sesame fried dumplings, tasty noodles. No tea. Soup. Fantastic. Just keep going back for more.
B. M.
The dumplings are amazing 🤤
W. C.
Friendly chatty staff, open til mid-night is a plus for shift worker
Authentic Chinese - Shanghai food that you can't find elsewhere in Adelaide
Price very reasonable for its quality.
D. S. A.
Great dumplings, fried and steamed options are both good, noodles selections slightly limited
E.
I love the juicy steamed pork dumplings.
C. Z.
Soup dumplings and pan fried pork dumplings are so good here
f.
Food is alright. Not worthy of 4 stars rating though
S. T.
nice foods but the attitude of the customer have a long way to improve......why the long face if you are at the front of the house......
C. W.
They made the best Shanghai bun.
S. P.

My go to for Xiao long baos! The food is pretty good but defo customer service is not their strong point. Waitresses can be a little impatient or unfriendly but don’t let that stop you from getting good dishes such as drunken chicken, shallot pancakes and yummy dumplings 🥟✨
K. C.
(Translated) The xiaolongbao is thin and ok, but the filling is a bit loose and the soup is a bit salty. Personally, I feel that MSG or chicken essence is a bit too much. Some people who promote the ceiling of Australian Xiao Long Bao are too exaggerated, and they feel that they are only at the level of ordinary breakfast restaurants.
(Original)
小笼包皮薄还可以,但是馅料有点散,汤有点偏咸。个人感觉味精或者鸡精放的有点多。某些宣传澳洲小笼包天花板的就过于夸张了,感觉只是一般早餐店水平。
