We had a group of four and sat outside on the deck. Staff was friendly, cocktails were made well, food was decently priced and well made. It's a nice little spot with a relaxed atmosphere.

The best chips in Brisbane, oh my word they are superb. Paired with Alfie's cheese burger, the serving is extremely generous and filling. Sauces are excellent, though the burger lacks much taste.

The new lunch menu value deals are a big improvement. Burger and beer is a good deal but i recommend adding tomato and onion was a bit plain and too salty. The deal image also has tomato in the pic. Overall staff are awesome and service excellent. Add a small side salad on your steak deal to match the elephant lunch deal and I will come more often. I asked for medium rare last time and was well done and chewy. But still big big improvement on value.

I went to a friend's 50th in the private room upstairs on Saturday 14th. The atmosphere was great, lots of people but not crowded. The staff were attentive and friendly. Bar staff made great cocktails and the food was awesome. Definitely be going back. Remember to book.

Lovely place and decor and great for any meal or a big night out. $15 for a slice of lemon meringue pie though? This is not Monaco, it's the valley. Even if people will pay it, I think that's pretty narcissistic to charge that much for some egg whites.

Visited in the early hours of the night (around 5:30) and found it to be lively but still relatively quiet. Ordered the baked chicken for myself and found it to be quite enjoyable. I expect it would get a lot livelier later in the night, but these early hours suited me just fine (not to mention the happy hour $6 basics are a nice addition!).

We had a work lunch here during the week a few weeks ago. Everyone including myself was very impressed with the quality of the food. There was definitely a very talented chef behind the making of the dishes and the prices were as cheap as the local hotels if not cheaper. We will definitely be eating there again.

The food was good we ordered a mushroom pizza and a ceasar salad . My G&T was fabulous . The live music was good . However ......the taped music to follow was literally the worst “canned” music EVER . Outdated , lame and produced an ambience that we literally could not wait to escape. I’m really not certain what demographic this playlist was supposed to capture ?

We went on Saturday night at 7.30pm so it was bound to be a crowded atmosphere. You cannot book a table on weekends unless it's 8 people or more so they took our number and we waited over an hour for a table. The bar was super busy too so we weren't able to sit down and wait. There were four of us and we ordered 1kg of pig to share. It also came out with rolls and vegetables as sides. It worked out to be quite good value. The food was wholesome and definitely enough to feed us all. The pork was really too smokey though. I've heard that the pork is delicious and not that smokey so perhaps our batch was left in for too long. We'll have to give the place another chance perhaps on a weeknight to see if the experience is more enjoyable.

Beautiful venue. Great menu and drinks selection. Food was delicious, loved the baked camembert. Service, not so impressive. Waitresses stuffed up our food and drinks order on several occasions, couldn't tell the beer from the cider, brought us the wrong bill twice. They were good workers but obviously just need some training, poor things looked like they were still at school and had no idea what was what. We ended up not being billed for one of our drinks in the end, which we didn't have an issue with after such lousy service. Invest in a couple of days' training for your very young staff! 🙃

As a cafe, it’s a great little place to have a chat and a coffee. Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable. My coffee always came out consistently. For some reason, the opening hours changed and I have to go elsewhere to get my caffeine injections before 11am. Would love to see that decision reversed and morning coffee being on offer again.

Visited during the day. Coffee shop, trying to be trendy (probably is at night) no table service, not everything on the menu is available but the coffee is good. Very loud Eminiem playing complete with F-Bombs, not suitable to bring your work colleages for a serious chat, having said that its not like you'd be overheard.

Laid back, open & fun like every good QLD venue should be. It's like sitting on the verandah of your very own queenslander but someone else is making you the drinks

Interesting place in the Valley. Lunch was superb and they have a great selection of beers on tap. We sat at the sloping table, but far from being annoying it was quirky and just seemed to fit in with the stuffed animal heads on the wall and old stereo equipment.

Alfred & Constance is really great for late night desserts mid week and partying on on the weekends. Probably not the best place when it rains, but I love the styling of the place! I haven't eaten a main meal there but I have heard it is delicious. Recommend you try it out!

Having a morning call on this quirky cafe anzac day. Ordered a smoothies - berry good morning n some kind of cheese cake on shelf displayed. Food is fantastic but let down by dim, unclean n lack of amenities male`s restroom

I liked the outdoor area and the general vibes on a Saturday night. Music changed through a bit quickly but the variety of areas is fun. Queue was long. Wear flats for the stairs if you can.

The food is good, albeit a little expensive. Beers are pretty commercial, but good enough to keep most people happy. The Tikibar upstairs does a wicked cocktail in a whole frozen pineapple which is awesome, albeit expensive. Upstairs gets a nice house party vibe later in the night, whilst downstairs is pretty chill.

Our group of 14 dined at Alfred & Constance (we booked a table at their 'Vanguard' beer garden) on a Sunday afternoon. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented, reasonably priced and our Irish waitress was very attentive and helpful - always topping up our water, checking to ensure everything was running smoothly for us, etc. All meals came out within 30 minutes, at the same time, and they were all 100% correct; my guests advised me that the chicken was tender and moist, the salads delicious, burgers fantastic & filling, and the desserts were divine. The only fault we could find was the volume-level of the music in the small room we were in - far too loud to chat to the others on the table. I realise A&C is also a "club / bar", but that doesn't mean the sit-down restaurant area needs to have the same volume as the rest of the venue. Apart from that - well done A&C! We will definitely be back again soon - thanks guys... 8.5/10 :-)

The Tiki Bowls are my Achilles Heel. Awesome vibe upstairs at the tiki bar but I was even more surprised to find that they do one of the best steaks in Brisbane. Little bit pricey but you can truly taste the difference.

Think I had Brisbane's best burger (sub $30 category, like a burger should ever cost more than $20 anyway....) last night, accompanied by a chorizo scotch egg that brought a little tear to my eye. No place for a vego, or anyone not wanting carcass on their plate - but Albert & Constance place can take all my money for as long as it wants if it always tastes like that. Next time it's the pork for sure. Very decent beer also.

An old corner house renovated and built on. It has a fitout from the opshop for hipster feel. Does have live music/DJ. Plenty of different spaces to sit. It is a bit back from the main Valley street and the streets you need to walk can have a bad vibe. Surprisingly a large desert case with plenty of choice - cake can be dry. Beer and cider selection is pretty mainstream.

So to all you bad reviewers out there "GET A LIFE AND STOP COMPLAINING YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO HAVE A GOOD TIME" And just one thing if the management happen to be reading this: Please can you invest in a better sound system that doesn't distort when the sound is turned up to the decibels necessary to create a party atmosphere :)
