Comments of AQUITAINE French Restaurant

Delicious food and Great servings .
The two of us struggled to finish our meal due to the amount of food presented.
The Duck was skin crisp and tender to the bone.
The Swordfish was cooked to perfection.
Salads were absolutely awesome and so fresh.
Entree for Two was a very generous serving and fantastic.
Service and Conversation with Staff was on Point.
Thank you
S. Z.
Food was mostly good, love the entrees, main was good but not wow, dessert should be the easy one but cream brûlée was way too sweet and others were just good looking but taste blah….
Reason I give 4star is not the food but purely the service. It was very cold, not welcoming, almost a bit awkward. They were either stressed or not well trained.
At the end, we were given bill when most people still have half glass of wine, and not ready to leave yet. It was a shocking service for us all. We’ve been coming to Aquitaine for years, used to love it, but after hearing a few friends said they’ll never return, I guess I’ll sadly join them too.

We went to @aquitainebrasserie and had what seemed like a never ending supply of food 🤪🤤
.
We had -
• Escargots
• Duck liver pate
• One dozen Champagne and dill foam oysters
• Citrus cured Kingfish
• 5+ Wagyu steak tartare
• Confit duck leg
• Sous vide lamb rack
• Confit Lamb Shoulder (a massive serving to share for two)
• Frites
• Port Braised pears
• Peach Iced Tea Sorbet 🍨
.
The food was superb all round but my stand out favourite had to be the kingfish and the duck leg 🤤🤤🤤
.
With the views facing the Brisbane river and the sky rises on the other side, this place offers some great food, equally great views - perfect to spend with family & friends 🥳

Had the boozy lunch, 2 course. Was filling but not too much. The mains we got were amazing, the duck and pork. Mix the elements and the dishes came together beautifully. Also the woman serving us was fantastic. Not stingy with the drinks either. A great place to dine along the river on a sunny Brisbane day

Pleasently surpised - Amazing food, good service!
We'd heard of Aquitaine for a while and had never thought about dining here until a spontaneous night out. Food was cooked perfectly and portions were good - not too little or too much. Lamb was 👌. Service was positive, new staff were enthusiastic so was a bit rushed but we didn't mind. Honestly its been a while since we've had quality food at this price range so we would say it was worth every penny. (Bonus, good spot to dog watch for dog lovers 🐕.)
Highly recommend! Keep up the good work :)

Four and a half stars actually. I actually didn't want to go to AQUITAINE, just not the type of food that interests us but we had a gift card that was valid at this place so after hesitating for 8 months we finally went. Very surprised and impressed by AQUITAINE and the quality of the presentations of entree, mains and dessert.
And to add to the excellent food was the perfect winter day and a table to dine at with the special AQUITAINE position looking across parklands, the river and on to the beautiful Brisbane City landscape.
Very well priced restaurant for the quality and quantity of dishes offered. What we ordered taste and texture was even better than the image menu conveys.
Yes, we will definitely be back to try a couple of the other attractive items on the menu.

On deciding that the use of the private dinning area would best suit our function our experience with Aquitaine was nothing short of fantastic.
From Martin showing us around and explaining what we can expect to Gabby our dedicated staff member for the evening along with the fabulously tasty and presented food we were left very impressed.
This business owner should be well proud of the wonderful staff they have.

View is good foods were amazing! charcuterie board must order and try it!! I had a unforgettable birthday at here. Thanks for goo hospitality.

Fantastic way to celebrate the new year. Had the degustation menu and very much enjoyed every morsel. Read the menu and only understood half of it, but decided to just “go with it”. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Recommend this restaurant highly, food was amazing, great position, friendly efficient staff, good wine reasonably priced. A great experience.

We waited for ages to be seated watching many staff while they did nothing. Then to find ourselves stuck out the back with no water view even though we had booked for a special occasion and told if it rained again we may get wet, our first impressions were not great. Its very lucky that our waiter was very attentive, explaining each dish as it arrived and the food was excellent otherwise it would have been less stars.
T. B.
The first time, it was flawless. The foods were good, the waiter was perfect.
Second time was not meant to be. Waited in the hot lunch hour sun only to be ignored by the staff after seen us standing there. Obviously they don’t need the business, so we went else where.

Aquitaine is a gem, turning out deliciously fresh, unique meals with whole food appeal. The plate presentation is delightful, not over the top artistic, with generous portions and garnish. Two of us had the Duck, which was beautifully cooked; one had the Swordfish which was deliciously juicy; another had the Lamb, generous and well proportioned and the other had the Mushroom risotto; perfectly cooked, creamy and flavoursome. The Creme Brûlée desserts were scrumptious too, as one would expect. Couldn't fault the food, table service or location. Prices are not exorbitant for the quality of the food served. Compliments to the Chef. Definitely a favourite and we will be back.

Went for lunch with my 3yo girl. Lovely knowledgeable (aware of the ingredients/menu and why one taste I couldn’t identify - blue cheese in the gnocchi) staff - One French one kiwi. Good yarn with them. The oysters from Tasmania A+, can’t compare with Bluff but I liked it. escargot first the first time was good - earthy with good texture. Gnocchi was great and good size. Kid had chips and ice cream and no complaints. Price is as expected for quality. Can’t takeaway.
Have kept coming back and never disappointed. The staff are excellent.
H. V.
Very scenic restaurant and ambiance with good service from the waiters. We started off with a duck pate & beef tartare, both of which were exquisite.
The following mains, cabonara & fish (forget which one exactly), were average both tasting a bit bland.
We had the cheese board for 2 & creme brulee to finish. The cheese board was again average but the creme brulee was quite delicious.
Overall a good restaurant.

Stunningly beautiful position for this extraordinary fine dining experience. It was certainly a pleasure to have eaten there. The food was fantastic as one would expect. The staff were amazingly attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable of what we were eating. Congratulations team on a wonderful night out.
G. S.
Lovely staff, greeted us with smiles and politeness while ensuring we felt welcome.
Service was absolutely fantastic and food complemented the atmosphere of fine dinning on New Years Eve.
L. F.
Fine dining without the price tag. Priced extremley well. Could not fault the food at all. I tried!! Relaxed vibe staff were nice, great night out. First time but will definately return im just gobsmacked at some of the bad reviews dont let them sway you into not coming.

What an amazing French restaurant!
We were totally blown away by how good the food, drinks and services! We were served by Ella (?). She is totally amazing. Very attentive and made sure everything is good. Oh she will not steer you wrong with the cocktails. You have to try their Rum and Spice, and Sherbet Highball....
As with the food, very fresh and in excellent quality. We couldn't ask for more. The terrine is done beautifully. The sous vide duck is very flavourful! Oh that bouillabaisse, that's out of the world. All the seafood is cooked just right. That broth is so rich in the shellfish favour. It is just amazing. Oh if you like cheese (and who doesn't?), Make sure to order the fried cauliflower. It's served with Roquefort Bechamel and candied walnuts. Totally divine!
Pretty sure this is my favourite restaurant in Brisbane.
S. S.
Had an amazing time. Our waitress Kate was such a pleasure to have, she knew the menu and the wines. Our entire experience, food, wine and service was just amazing. Chef Chris came out to talk to us at the end of the degustation and shared some of his secrets. Such a great experience, would 100% visit again.
S. U.
Very friendly staff, incredible views and great food to match the scenery.
J. Z.
First impression of very friendly staff.
We came for my mum's birthday, with three kids all under 10. No problems at all. All staff look after us very well. Love the steak and fish. Cooked just right!
We also bought our own cake, charged about $3 for each person, but chef decorated the slides very nicely. Made the money well spent.
Will back again.
S. Y.
We had the degustation menu, celebrating a birthday with friends. Extraordinary beautiful plating...the tastes were works of art, and were as delicious as the looked.
A. L.
Delicious Bouillabaisse, wonderfully cooked seafood soup. Would definitely recommend everyone to order. Beautiful view from the restaurant. Mains are just average and weren’t that exciting but the portion size would fill you. Beef were overly salty.
T. L.
When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who then looked after our needs very professionally. We opted for the 4 course set price menu - fortunately, sufficient time was allowed between courses for us to do justice to each one of them. There is flexibility within this menu. Highly recommended.
C. E.
A great location with great views of the city, and a lovely menu. Our waitress was excellent and the food was good. My favourites were the entrees, and it was a toss up whether to go for the degustation menu or the a la carte (dining companion wanted something on the a la carte so we did that).
A. G.
Amazing food at one of the best french restaurants in Brisbane. Service was good but nothing extraordinary.
G. A.
Excellent food. Great service. Wonderful ambience. Big shout out to our waitress.
M. D.
Had a fantastic meal here last night - absolutely delicious food. The appetiser was mouth-watering, and the entree was fabulously tasty, but also light enough to whet the appetite for the main meal. I had the steak dish which was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a carrot jam that was to die for! Dessert was a glorious creme brulee with perfect palate-cleansing mandarin drops. Every dish had a wonderful harmony of flavours that complimented and contrasted one another. Despite it being a busy Saturday night, each course was served punctually, and my waiter, Shaun, was friendly and solicitous of my comfort. Watching the sunset over the river while enjoying good food is the perfect way to pass the evening. Many thanks to all the team at Aquitaine for such a lovely night out!
S. W.
Mood lighting and atmosphere were top notch in the upstairs dining area. Food tasted as good as it was presented; exquisite. Fabulous hosting by our waitress Olivia too!
N. l.
Fantastic french cuisine, every meal was beautifully presented on the plate from appetisers to dessert. Great service with very knowledgeable and friendly staff who were able to precisely explain the meal and every element on the plate. Would highly recommend

This restaurant has a good location on South bank near the river. Classy vibe with comfortable furniture. Plenty of shade. The staff are friendly and attentive. The prix fixe menu has excellent dishes and can be adapted for gluten or dairy free.
A. G.
The staff were super friendly and accomodating! The food was delicious and Aquataine is in a nice spot in Southbank. The portion size was adequate. I would love to come back again.
B. K.
After being seated in possibly the best seat in the house, we were greeted by our lovely waiter, Russell. The food was fantastic, so decadent and a great take on modern french dining. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The view is just great - overlooking the Brisbane river and city skyline. We had the escargot and oysters to begin with. Along with the crispy fish, tiger prawns and tomato/basil/bocconicini salad. We managed to fit in dessert and had the deconstructed creme brulee and a blue cheese board. Highly recommend this place!
J. M.
An absolutely beautiful restaurant that is hard to fault. You will pay a little extra for this, but it is well worth it.
The cuisine is absolutely exquisite. The service is very good, and the ambience is hard to beat.
M. T.
My son is celebrating his 10th year in Australia. He wants to pick the best to treat his Mom, that’s me 💖
The best 7 course degustation. AMAZING food. Lovely Staff. Beautiful location in Southbank with Riverview.

We visited Aquitaine on the 28th of August, it was for a booking of five which included a toddler. Warmly greeted upon arrival and escorted to our table that was impeccably set.
Our waitress a French lady I believe was exceptional! With permission she attended to our daughter with a great deal of care, engaged with her, gave her a set of pencils and paper to draw, and brought out her dinner straight away as she was hungry.
The exemplary service we received could not be better the attentiveness along with the care and the professionalism are second to none.
The food and drink came out in a very timely manner and was outstanding we across the table were able to taste a great portion of the menu, every dish and every ingredient, every sauce, every protein cooked to absolute perfection.
Also the willingness to cater for severely restricted diet for one of guest was exceptional thankyou for making her at ease.
Thankyou to the head chef for taking the time to meet with us and the gift of delicious macaron (yum) you and your team are amazing don't change a thing.
Definitely will be dining with you again.

This was the best three course meal I have had. Every mouthful was to savour. Great view! My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and it was perfect.
C. W.
Took my parents here recently for a special celebration, but was very disappointed with our mains. My pork was so dry i left half the meal. I’d been before and had a great experience, so maybe I was unlucky this time. I was also disappointed with the response from the restaurant. When we offered the feedback, they explained a new person was learning. Given the cost of the meal, I think they should have done better. I won’t be back.

Food was amazing. The steak was perfect. Drinks menu was broad enough to give everyone options. And the service by the staff was amazing
M. F.
I really enjoy a meal at Aquitaine - my go to place in Brisbane. The bouillabaisse is delicious and never disappoints...the pate is super tasty!
T. N.
Awesome staff, opening my children to the world one step at a time. Thank you AQUITAINE for encouraging them escargot is now on our encouraging to any menu as a have to try you will be definitely be pleased with trying.😘👍Thank you for expanding my children to the world cuisine. Xx

Been there 4 times but all before 2016.
Last time I invited a family of 5 plus myself and everyone ordered 3 course. Broke my bank but worth it 😃 Miss the place. Time to return soon. The food is superb from taste to design and the service is absolutely professional yet friendly.
A. C.
We went tonight and had the degustation menu with matching wines. The service and food were fantastic, if you haven't been it's definitely worth the visit, if you have been go back and try this new menu because it is amazing!!!!
M. P.
This was our first time to Aquitaine and we were very happy with the service and the food. We had steak tartare and escargot for starters and the steak tartare was excellent while the escargot is ok. I had delicious confit duck for main while my partner had salmon as fish of the day. We then had petit fours and mille feuille for dessert, both of which were excellent. Overall we were very happy with our dinner at Aquitaine. The four stars was because of bones found in the salmon dish and escargot was just ok!
G.
Food was absolutely delicious - so rich and flavoursome. Liked that they explained each dish when they brought it out as well.
A. J.
EDIT: I have upgraded this review from 2 to 4 stars. This is because I appreciate the integrity of the owner updating his response with an edit (at bottom) confirming that I did indeed eat the restaurant, and taking my feedback on the pork and salmon dishes seriously. Cheers.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you want to experience what it's like to eat an artwork then book yourself a seat! The food's beautiful. The food's French. And it tastes just like canvas, too! A marvel of the postmodern movement. Bravo Aquitaine.
H. D. B.
Degustation was excellent .Top marks for explanation of food and wine and compliments to the chef. Couch was too cramped so asked for chairs which they addressed . EX.
S. N.
Really tasty and amazing food! The charcuterie platter was fantastic with novelty flavours, mains were absolutely delicious and the deserts to die for. Definitely try it out. The staff was also fabulous.
B. W.
Great location and food. Waitstaff are a bit pushy and try and rush you a bit. Would be 5 stars if they just slow down a bit and stop trying to pump the numbers through the door.
J. A.
Group of us had a great dinner here... staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the food excellent! Great selection of wines and food... and an excellent atmosphere. You would think with such an awesome location it would be average... but no, it’s excellent!
T. C.
Great French restaurant in an open air setting, beside the Brisbane River. Excellent food, service, views, and atmosphere.

Dear Jason & wonderful staff & chefs of Aquitaine,
Thank you for icing my cake.
Nothing could have capped off this celebration of love, as the effort and finesse you put together for us last night.
You remain our very favourite.
Here are a few photos from the night, it couldn’t have been more delightful.
Warmest thanks,
Chris
M. M.
Great food (especially the charcuterie board) and view is fantastic (photo is from a few metres in front of restaurant)
G. M.
Fantastic service and delicious food with lovely views - what else could you ask for? I am vegan and they made every effort to accommodate my dietary choices without making me feel like an inconvenience. Couldn't fault this place at all, and if you book your parking online you can get it for free!
J. W.
There was five of us who had meals here. Absolutely delicious meals. A bit expensive but definitely worth a visit
T. H.
Outstanding. This is my favourite restaurant in Brisbane and it is consistently excellent - fantastic service, amazing menu and ambiance. Spectacular views of the river coupled with an exquisite gastronomic experience make Aquitaine a must visit.
S. C.
This is by one of the best restaurants in Brisbane. French food but lightened and innovated, as well as a spectacular view and atmosphere. We highly recommend the escargot, scallops (devine) and the bouillabaisse which is the best I’ve had anywhere outside of France.
Definitely 5 stars!
J. G.
Stunning location, efficient and helpful staff made our lunch very enjoyable. We had the set menu which was filling and beautifully presented. Coffee was not included and if you are fussy, you are probably better getting coffee elsewhere.
I. M.
We had a fixed price menu which had a small but good range of dishes, but this was $50 per head and the stand out 'dish' were the shared starters. Overall I don't think the execution matched the pricing that well. Great service and location was amazing.
For entree we ordered the duck liver pate and the beef crocquettes. The pate was very very rich, and was very similar to one of the starters, which, if we had known, we wouldn't have ordered. Beef croquettes were ok, great sauce though.
Mains were pork sirloin with blood sausage, didn't think much of the sausage and the pork was dry, not tough but a fair bit of chewing and cutting required. There was a delicate bernaise sauce which was lost with the very piquant tomato relish type side. The other main was suis vide lamb, beautifully cooked but not enough sauce and ultimately served mashed veggies on the side. Hmm lived in France for almost a year, and sadly this wasn't a trip down memory lane that I had hoped for.
L. M.
Great food and wine. Wonderful service. Will definitely return.
G. F.
What an amazing experience! We couldn't stop saying WOW from the time we had our entree to the time we had our coffee.
The waiter was great, polite, friendly and nothing we requested was a problem.
We selected our wine with the help of Alex who didn't dissapoint us matching our wine to our meals. Thank you for making our special occasion delightful. Highly recommend Aquitaine 😊 Paul & Gabriela Fahey
C. D.
We dined there on a Saturday night and had the Degustation with paired wines. It was amazing! The waiter knew exactly what she was talking about with both the food and the wine... that really made the experience for us. The chef did an amazing job with everything - exquisite.
Great ambience and views. Highly recommend.
S. C.
Duck confit, so good make you wanna slap yo momma
F. K.
Absolutely delicious! Perfect taste and presentation. Lovely and friendly staff. The mains take a while to be served but when the quality is beyond expectation it’s actually ok! Great view and location. This is the place that my partner and I find ourselves at on our special date nights
I. L.
Food was really good. Myself and a few friends of mine had a lovely cheese platter and charcuterie board to share a couple of nights ago. We all agreed that our waiter was awfully rude though. We tried to not let it ruin our fun night out.
H. W.
Starting on a positive, the waiters were lovely and attentive and are an asset to this restaurant.
Now to the kitchen... there’s room for improvement here. It wasn’t an overly busy night and the wait time for entrees and mains was a little unprofessional. The Gnocchi in the vegetarian dish was a sad mush and needs addressing. The Coke tasted like a cheap premix which seems a little odd for a fine-dining restaurant. We also agreed that the Camembert platter should come with more bread as the four small pieces are not enough to complement the wheel of cheese. I know this input may seem pedantic but given the price to dine here, I feel these are noteworthy points and require attention.
S. D.
In years past, I have had some excellent meals at Aquitaine, but I was disappointed when I visited last evening. The waiters seemed to be inexperienced and were unfamiliar with some menu items. The apéritifs we ordered from on the menu were unavailable, and a confusion ensued among the staff. Few French wines were on offer and were without pairing recommendations. The meals were good but they were not in the style of a French brasserie. The dessert was strange and disappointing. Aquitaine Brasserie felt like a mid-level, French-inspired, modern Australian restaurant; more a spectacle than une brasserie d'aquitaine. My assessment seemed epitomised by the menu, which among various oddities and spelling errors listed canard à l'orange with bigarade sauce as "Duck a l'Orange" with "l'orange sauce".
G. S.
My wife and I had the most amazing Anniversary Dinner! The food and service were impeccable! The best freshly shucked oysters in Brissy by far! From our escargot to beef tartare to Duck and lamb all were delicious, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection! Well done Aquitaine, a very memorable evening thank you from both of us!
W.
I took my girlfriend there a few months ago. We had a lovely dinner by the river. We had snails (escargot). Are my photos. They tasted delicious. It was my girlfriend her first time eating snails. I are plenty of snails before. She ordered chat-grilled wagyu cap as her main dish. The bone marrow tasted amazing. I ordered bouillabasse (seafood soup) for my main dish. It came with French bread. The soup was so well seasoned and full with texture. It is a nice restaurant for a romantic dinner together by the river.
E. W.
Absolutely amazing service and quality food. We dined today at lunch with our baby. The wait staff were very hospitable and the food was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
G. O.
I had lunch there today and the food was incredible and the service really good. Yes it’s a bit pricey but it’s worth every cent when you see and taste the food. Wow its incredible. The service staff are keepers, they were really attentive and friendly. Overall a fantastic experience.
D. H.
Great location with views of the city. Good service.
I ordered the sous-vide lamb saddle which wasn't to my taste but another member of our party ordered the same and thought it was amazing, so I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. Entrees, desserts and drinks were all excellent.
F. S.
What an amazing experience in Brisbane. The service was excellent, their attention to detail was great. The food was beautiful and so flavoursome. Everything was paired nicely, flavours amazing and service excellent. Will definitely be back.

I attended my works Christmas Cocktail Party on Thursday 17th December 2020 - the location was fantastic, venue was brilliant and a heads up to the 2 lovely cocktail staff at the event. They were so friendly, attentive and so good at the job. Need to keep staff like that they are hard to get.
P. M.
Food was exquisite & overall we had a delightful experience. Service was on point. I would definitely recommend the degustation. It was a beautiful amalgamation of delicious food with carefully picked wine.

The food was sooooo so so yummy honestly incredibly tasty! The entree for my 1 prawn was almost $20 and normally I'd be mad about that but it was the best prawn I've ever tasted haha the set up is not how lovely it looks in the pictures online but still quite romantic and the staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming!
N. G.
Good quality and tasty food bit high price but deserve it lovely duck liver pate and entree quail dish thank you for great lunch main lamb is bit salty for me but im a way to unsalty lover so it will be great for every one really sad cant have dessert 😂 it will be great like the other plate thank you

We had an amazing lunch experience at Aquitaine. The service was attentive, friendly while very professional. Electing for the three course option, the food was a treat. Choosing for three different entrees we were all very satisfied as the flavours were exactly as we hoped. None of our party could go past the swordfish for main and we were not disappointed. Amazing food and service coupled with reasonable price, we will be back.

Superb dining option in Southbank. The 4 course banquet was excellent value.

Fabulous fare and well priced. Just a perfect ending to a show at QPAC. Looking forward to the next dining experience. The pork dish hit the spot.

Great food in wonderful riverside location
This is a great spot for lunch on a sunny afternoon. We had a team lunch here on a Saturday afternoon and everybody loved the food and wine. The views are lovely and the service is attentive! It's nicey but pricey!!

I made a mistake with the date that I booked (booked a week later than intended). Not a problem! 'We will find a table for you'. The rest of the night was the same high standard from the wait staff, and the amazing quality of the food. Was even also offered a nice warm blanket if we needed it.Thanks for a great night Aquataine!
c. g.
Nice food, excellent service, reasonable prices, the desserts were not the best but the mains outstanding
K. Z.
The location of Aquitaine is perfect for a lovely view of Brisbane city. The menu was interesting, with a good variety on offer. I found the entrees to be more innovative and adventurous than I did the main meals. However, having said that I had 3 champagne oysters for my entree, and I have to say for the cost of each oyster they were extremely small and, I thought, not worth the money. I expect oysters that are charged for individually to be of a decent size and exceptional quality. I could not say this about the oysters I had.
My husband had the Wagyu beef, and it is always an expensive dish wherever you have it, because of the quality of the meat. However, again my husband thought it was not the greatest Wagyu he had ever had, although it was still a very nice dish.
The meal was certainly enjoyable, but it comes at a relatively high price, so by all means give this restaurant a go, but don't expect a cheap night. The staff were exceptional, and their knowledge of the menu was excellent. I enjoyed their food and the atmosphere, but probably would not go there again.

Fantastic menu, location and staff.
It was a typically stormy Brisbane summers day but the scenery was just as beautiful. Would have been good to have access to air con giving that I am from Melbourne and struggle with the mildest of humidity 🤣
I highly recommend the pork belly. It was a very generous serve and so delicious.

Perfect date night with the hubs! Reservations are a must - I suggest book ingquite ahead for a good slot on a Friday or Saturday evening. Amazing service from our first step into this pure class of a restaurant. Will definitely recommend the barramundi =)
r. s.
Really nice place with nice views. Need to book in advance. Loved the customer service and ambiance. Food options are limited for vegetarians. I had only one option in mains which was Fettuccini but it was delicious. They have changed the menu now so will definitely visit again.

Glorious food. Amazing staff.

Great food, attentive, knowledgeable & friendly staff. Great location.

This will be a favourite ongoing. We dined for the Bastille Day 3 course menu & were very impressed. The food was top quality, the service was attentive & the view is superb.
L. M.
Great service, food and location, overlooking the City and Southbank Park.

Good quality of foods and service but they need more staffs

Fabulous food, great staff and amazing atmosphere

Fabulous fare and well priced. Just a perfect ending to a show at QPAC. Looking forward to the next dining experience. The pork dish hit the spot.
M. K.
Excellent service and fabulous food, friendly atmosphere
T. N.
Service was excellent, food was excellent. Had the 4 meals set price and shared with partner. A variety of flavors and came out full. Excellent menuu and cooked perfectly.
J. S.
Great place for dinner with friends and family! The food was excellent! Our party was large (15) and we found that service took longer than normal between courses. We could not say if that was due to the size of our group or if that was just how things roll at this restaurant. We didn't mind the extra wait though as we were out to have a good time together and didn't need to rush off to anywhere. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere!
S. S.
A great location and menu and pleasant service. We enjoyed our lunch here today. The pate and the croquettes were excellent. The pate serve was particularly generous with plenty of toast and other accoutrements. Likewise the barramundi was excellent. The Lamb shoulder had the makings of an excellent dish too, but on this occasion was a little over done. It didn't ruin it, but a little pink in the meat would have made for a much juicier dish. Not our first visit here and we'll definitely be back.
M. S.
Went for the first time last Saturday for lunch and glad I did. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, our waiting staff Raquel and Martin were just great. Lovely people, and really funny too!
Furthermore, the owner Spiro treated me like I was the only customer, though I wasnt, and like an old friend. I have no doubt he treats everyone like that. Just wonderful good old fashioned service with a smile. He even took me aside to show me his extra special romantic night time table. (Table 24 and I havent forgotten Spiro)
I highly recommend Aquitaine for a lovely dinning experience. Thank you everyone and I look forward to my next visit!
R. D.
My favourite place at Brisbane's Southbank for a Sunday afternoon drink and snacks. Great views of the river and city and live music on the grass outside on Sundays. Grab your partner and take time to drop in . I have a liking for the cheese and charcuterie board. A bit indulgent but great with wine on a Sunday or any day for that matter. Enjoy 😁🍷😁
A. T.
We held a staff celebration with 34 people here last week and it was an excellent choice. Spiro, Jason and the team were extremely helpful and accommodating in finding the right time and package for us. We had the Bottomless Lunch, that they allowed us to flex for the non-drinkers and food allergies/preferences so everyone had the same experience. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive right down to acknowledging a last minute birthday with a special little cake and candle. We will come again and I can definitely recommend for staff functions.
B. W.
Lovely spot for lunch today despite the rain. New menu will have us back again soon. Meal size and sides very reasonable for location and quality. Pina Colada dessert was devine. Thanks for looking after us.
B. H.
I was really disappointed in this place and won't be going back. Although the food looked fantastic, it didn't taste great and I found it to be overpriced. E.g. $18 prawn entre was one average sized prawn. Service was also average - not very friendly and had to hail them down for service.
V. D.
Food was decent. Frech cuisine or not the flavor wasn't really there and services was nothing out of the ordinary.
Considering the location and $$ I was expecting a bit more
N. J.
Friendly staff and great food.
We enjoyed the hot bread and the Spatchcock was spot on.
L. M.
What a wonderful experience, this was my 3rd repeat visit to this Southbank establishment and we sat upstairs (which was sooo cozy!) and celebrated a 16th birthday. Food was absolutely amazing and the service was friendly and really attentive. Just to top off our evening the prices were very reasonable for such quality French cuisine. 100% recommended by me!
L. H.
Very lovely 1st time experience. Their salad entree was brilliant and duck leg was very nice too. We booked a table and it was on their second level - it was quieter and we still had the river view. The waitress was lovely and helpful. Will definitely come back again.
R. l.
Excellent experience, perfect food and très beau service. Duck was exquisite
S. P.
Had a lovely lunch here today. Food was fabulous and the staff lovely. Great spot for lunch. Thoroughly recommend.
D. L.
Exceptional service from Martin, exquisite food, pâté’ was Devine, snails were amazing, baked Camembert was delicious! But honestly, the service from Martin was hands down 5 ⭐️
S. L.
Beautiful long lunch venue with the drinks package. Food and service 😀
K. R.
Food delicious! Service was attentive and water was brought to our table without having to be asked. Wine by the glass was reasonably priced given the location and brands of wine. Although the seating was outdoors (under a cover), the heaters provided more than enough warmth. We will be back!
J. O.
Great food, and awesome service. Highly recommended.
d. p.
We went to Aquitane for a private function in July, we were welcomed to the restaurant by very friendly staff. The atmosphere is mostly open air, taking in the lights an views of the River. The food was well presented and great value. The private function had a special menu to match the wines the host had selected. We loved the very friendly service by the staff.
R. M.
We visited to celebrate a milestone Birthday. We selected the set Degustation menu for 4. Whilst it is a bit pricey it was definitely worth the spend. The food was presented like a work of art on a plate. We al felt almost guilty in destroying it to eat the well prepared very tasty food. Wait staff explained each dish in great detail. I can highly recommend this if you are looking for something high quality and out of the everyday. This was not a meal but a culinary journey that had the taste buds singing all evening.
L. D.
We enjoyed an absolutely enjoyable luncheon experience celebrating our Mother's 80th birthday. The staff were attentive and polite. The meals and drinks package suited our requirements for a relaxed lengthy family gathering. The food was delicious. Generous portions. Restaurant idealy located away from the hustle and bustle with river views and handy to public transport. Double thumbs up.
J. H.
This place is beautiful. I had a very enjoyable dinner here. Olives & dip with bread for entree follow by mussels in cider for main. These all very delicious. Unfortunately, it was very dark, so I don't have a good photo for these beautiful dishes. Highly recommended
L. L.
We "found" this restaurant through good reviews as a place suitable to celebrate our more or less joint birthdays in October/November. So this was a first for us. We skipped the starters which - for us was the right thing to do as the main courses were excellent and with a goodly quantity of very well presents and flavoursome food. We each had different dishes; Pork Belly, Duck Breast and Beef Cheeks. We had two desserts. Crème Broulee and Fig Jam Beignets. Both very good There is an extensive wine list which offers good wines if a little on the higher side. Service was excellent and leisurely so we were able to enjoy the dinner in an unhurried manner.
P. E.
Very impressive attention to flavour and quality of dishes, fantastic attention to detail in composition and presentation of dishes. You can pay the same amount for your dinner else where and not experience the same level of expertise. Service impeccable and suitably restrained. Beautiful harbour views, dress on the formal casual side.
b. M.
The food, wine and cocktail selections are amazing I had the rib eye and croquettes which were next level amazing. My wife's pork belly was spectacular and thought the tartare was right up there. Not to mention the amazing service and beautiful location .. We will most definitely be back next time we are in Brisbane
S. F.
Amazing brussell sprouts and entrees and we should have stopped there. 2 of us had eye fillet medium to well and it was tough and dry. Gnocchi was all salt. Lamb was fatty. Not enjoyable. Told waitress we weren't happy. She came back at the end of the night and asked us if we enjoyed our meals, after I told her we didn't. She said she was going to tell the chef but never came back to us.
Will be back for entrees, drinks and amazing views but not for mains.
S. M.
We celebrated our Great-Aunt's 90th birthday here recently and could not have been more impressed. From the thoughtful cushions placed on the seat to make the birthday girl more comfortable, to fabulous quality food, wine and views of the river to the outstanding service and special surprise dessert - we could not have been more thrilled with our choice. Congrats all round to this team.
V. P.
What a host Martin is! So warm and welcoming! He's a gem!
Beautiful food, amazing views. Couldn't think of a better place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon
D. P.
Attended a work dinner here and the food was great. Tasty selection of wines and friendly service. The view of the river was lovely too, and the walk along the banks to get there and back was a great bonus.
p. w.
A wonderful experience!! We had a lovely time at Aquitaine, we loved the unique menu and the food was delicious. The views of the Brisbane rriver scattered with the surrounding city lights only enhanced the experience. How have I lived in Brisbane for so long and only recently discovered Aquitaine!?!
Highly recommend.
L. B.
We were so pleased to take our Melbourne cousin and her husband to such a great place for dinner in Brisbane. The heater was on so we were very comfortable outside overlooking the beautiful city lights. All meals were excellent and the service was very good. We had the escargot and leek entrees and the eye fillet, lamb and duck for mains. Absolutely beautiful. See you again soon Acquitaine
D. B.
I couldn't rant about how much I love this place enough! I have never tasted Salmon this fresh! Also, do yourself a favour and order more oysters than you need!! Was such a beautiful evening for my birthday. Customer service was on point with involvement. Really was fantastic!!
H. G.
We had our family wedding reception at Aquitaine Brasserie, and we have nothing but the best to say about the staff, management and service provided. Wonderful food, the staff made it just so easy to enjoy the evening, and we didn't have to think about anything. Wonderful! This is one of our favourite places, and we'll continue going back there for sure.
L. D.
Really tasty food, decent prices and good service. Definitely will come back!
V. T.
The service at AQUITAINE is great and the views you get is amazing. However the food is bit more on the pricey side and some entrées like the pate is weirdly large in portion and overly cluttered. Main course is delicious and well presented. Overall, a good place to bring your date, occasionally your family as well as they do offer kids menu for children below 12 years old.
C. W.
Great food, drinks, service & atmosphere.
L. R.
Food was good, service was excellent! We went there to celebrate two recent birthdays and they brought out two desserts that said happy birthday. A kiwi(?) waiter we had was very good with his wine suggestions and service.
M. P.
Awesome place. Food and service was great as was the venue. We had to leave early to got to a show on Valentine’s Day and they sent us a voucher for another meal which they didn’t have to do.
F. L.
Waiters are efficient and professional but not particularly friendly. Food is not bad but nothing stood out. I find the tables too small and the outdoor dining felt cramped. It's also annoying when they give you cutlery that doesn't rest easily on the plate and has a tendency to slide onto the food! Or provide a knife that's a struggle to cut the turkey I had! Might just had a one-off bad experience, will try again but could not recommend.
S. J.
Position is brilliant. They have wonderful menu and the bottomless lunch. This is a choice from set menu with 2 hours of alchohol. They obviously arent going to let people get off their face but it gives you a chance to try different beverages that you'd not normally buy in case you didn't like.
T. H.
Great views, great food and great service. Our waiter Cohen was incredibly friendly. He had exceptional menu insight!
L. H.
If you wanna try French dishes, I totally recommend this restaurant. It was perfect place for my birthday's dinner with my family. Good location, lovely staffs, delicious food, beautiful riverview and wonderful mood!! I would come back here for next special day.
P. W.
First time there. Eye fillet very small wasn't even 200g. Not much sauce. Cooked as requested. Drinks took ages they came after we finished our entrees and it was only two of us.... Water glasses smelt weird like they weren't cleaned properly. Duck liver awesome. The chairs also weren't comfortable it felt like we were falling through them. We weren't wowed. It was ok. 3/5. We wouldn't go back unless we had to.
H.
Went there for Valentine's day dinner with my partner and I was left wanting more each course has some high notes but also some lows so it was hard to justify the price. In terms of South Bank and upper class dining it's okay, not terrible but not amazing.
N. K.
Had better French food here than in France. My husband had the best steak of his life and has been raving about ever since. We went on a weekday when the restaurant wasn't very busy so the service was prompt and the atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back here again.
M. C.
I had dinner there last night, I'm visiting Brisbane on my own so I was sat on the front row of seats. I asked the guy hosting me to just pick whatever and was given a salad for entrees woth a glass of white, and the bowl of shellfish in garlic with home made bread.
Absolutely excellent meal, fresh, with flavour. Excellent service from him, the chef and the waitress. 10/10.
J. S.
Came here for anniversary dinner. Didnt disappoint! Great food and great service. Amazing selection of drinks as well
K. N.
Delishious food. Great service.
d. O.
First time dining here... and I would say the experience was average. As mentioned by a few other reviews, don't expect authentic French food, it's at best mildly inspired, mostly by words on the menu.
The croquettes as a starter were really nice, no complaints there. Mains however were a bit... meh: the lamb saddle was a little too greasy and chewy to my husband's liking, and the bouillabaisse (which staff probably should learn to pronounce correctly if serving it) had a lot of chewy octopus chunks and not a lot of fish. The broth itself tasted good, but the sauce served with it wasn't even remotely close to the typical "rouille" that comes with the dish. Dessert was also mixed: while both very pleasing in presentation, the Paris Brest was the only successful pick. The cherry clafouti was unremarkable and served with an overpowering lavender icecream (really... too strong!) and some flaky sesame "snow" which I nearly choked on as it was very powdery; interesting mix of textures, just not really working taste-wise.
But perhaps the most disappointing part was settling the bill. As we were about to get up to pay, the waitress came to our table with a card reader (so we wouldn't have to walk to the counter), jokingly saying "that's how I get my tips". Or at least I thought she was joking... She initially typed in the right amount for our bill, let me swipe and type my pin, and next thing I know, a price topped with an extra ~10% appears on the screen! Surprised, I told her something didn't seem quite right and I cancelled the transaction. She didn't say anything and reprocessed the transaction, this time without the sneaky "tipping surcharge"... If it wasn't for me being vigilant, I would have unknowingly and unwillingly been charged more than my actual bill. And frankly, while her service wasn't bad, it was by no means outstanding to the point I'd happily tip. That left a bit of bitter aftertaste to our dining experience...
M. T.
One of the best dining experiences you'll have. Amazing food, amazing desserts, and amazing service. I love the atmosphere it is amazing such nice servers so attentive it’s worth it!!!!
C. M.
Suprisingly, this restaurant delivered quality and an impressive menu. All charcuterie is prepared and made in-house. Flavours and accompaniments were spot on! We tried three different desserts, all of them were excellent. I would recommend a bottle of wine rather than cocktails, as the only thing that did not impress us was the cocktails we were served. If you like duck-liver pate, this place offers a delicious one! Most restaurants in this area don't serve up quality due to the location(Riverside) and the constant flow of tourists, but we found aquiataine to be ambitious and capable.
J. M.
Delicious food, nice location, good service
E. M.
A pleasant surprise tucked away at the far end of Southbank. The food is good, though certainly not exceptional. I guess the menu would be French/Australian fusion rather than traditional but it has a good variety. The view over the city is excellent, with a quiet, elegant atmosphere from the hybrid indoor/outdoor seating.
C. F.
My partner and I were looking for somewhere relaxed on a Saturday for a nicer than normal lunch. Aquitaine was an absolute pleasure to experience with great wine and service and even better food. The tartare beef was fantastic and the slow cooked lamb equally great. The real star of the show however was the duck l'orange, so tender yet beautifully crispy skin and the sauce was to die for. We will definately be coming back again.
D. P.
I have been to some fantastic restaurants, but this one certainly stands out. The quality of the service combined with absolutely stunning food made it one of the best dining experiences I am yet to enjoy. Highly recommended.
K. W.
A lovely venue - delicious, innovative cuisine, attentive but not invasive service and a beautiful outlook. Highly recommended.
S. T.
We enjoyed ourselves but slightly cool service, a disappointing starter and a fairly ordinary bottle of wine made this a bit more challenging than we would like. Very French service and cuisine in a beautiful Brisbane location.
L. J.
Superb food. My duck was delicious. Lovely waitress. Great river views. Wine selection could have more French options but still good.
G. C.
Exceptional waiting staff service. A great location, nicely heated for outdoor winter dining. Need I say the food was great too? I loved the Tartar steak followed by local barramundi. Beverage prices are reasonable as there is no BYO. Chic French. Vive la difference!
V. H.
Excellent service, delicious food, extensive and thoughtful wine list. However, the portions of the main meals were very small and I left hungry and disappointed. Will return for the pate though, that is exquisite.
B. S.
Such an amazing place the food was incredibly nice and we'll presented. The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. Highly recommend.
R. L.
Beautiful setting. Great friendly, knowledgable staff. Food wa delicious. Portions looked small but we certainly were adequately satisfied. Dessert was spectacular. We were celebrating and is the perfect place to do this. Will certainly be back.
C. W.
Wow, even our waitress gave us the premium, sommelier level of service. She advised me to try the Barramundi...I joked it was almost sacrilegious to be eating such an Australian dish in such a restaurant... Brilliant experience!!
Meals and entrees AAA+
Service AAA+
atmosphere AAA+
we will see you again very soon!
A. S.
It was a lovely experience for a rainy evening. Service and food was divine!
A. P.
Amazing food with a great view.
K. M.
Had a lovely anniversary dinner here. Food delicious, staff attentive and a surprise 'happy anniversary' sweet treat was a much appreciated personal touch at the end.
l. p.
Ohhh I really tried tonight. We booked a week ahead. They didn't even look at our reservation..put us in a seat next to the rainy weather...food was crazy oily... I mean come on! a nob of butter plopped on top on the gnocchi....it was my my birthday and I felt too sick to order desert. Disappointed, never going back. Staff tried, but whole experience disappointing. Sorry :(
S. L.
Service was great and the idea behind the menu was great. It just didn't "wow". Nothing wrong with this place, but the prices should demand a better response than that.
S. W.
Beautiful food, yet, it seems more attention is paid to putting so much effort into beautiful pieces of art, without the flavours being so finely balanced. The lamb belly entree and smoked duck main were perfect examples of fine balances, but the bouillabaisse was the result of an overcooked stock resulting in bitter overtones. The fried Brussels sprouts/lambs belly sides were to die for yet did not compliment any main dish on the list. Way too much is happening on the plate which LOOKS amazing, yet doesn't ultimately balance as a whole. Very encouraging, and I would love to come back and see the growth and refinement of individual dishes.
B. S.
Went for our anniversary, Food was great (Massive fans of the consommé) staff were amazing and looked after us really well and made it really special evening.
D. v. E.
Awesome food, great view, nice staff, fast service with a smile. Both the steak frites and the clafoutis were exactly on point, and the cocktail I had was perfect. Highly recommend this place.
A. T.
Absolutely fantastic. Great food, service and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and know their menu well.
I recommend Aquitaine to everyone. We'll definitely be back.
K. A.
All class - good service, good views, good food.
S. S.
We have eaten here eight or nine times in groups of two to nine, this is my favorite restaurant by far. The food is always excellent as is the service. Looking forward to trying the new menu.
D. B.
Big plates and servings for a fancy restaurant. Croquettes and pate were delicious. Lamb shoulder was missed flavour. Staff were friendly but a bit slow.
D. N.
Delish food and the chefs looked after all our first requirements!! Great service and the food is bonne!!
Tres bien!
r. s.
Had dinner on a Sunday night. Lovely views of the river. Not the greatest selection of vegetarian food but the food we did order was very tasty. We booked our table online which was great.
c. d.
Stopped in for lunch.
Wait staff attentive
Steak tartare lacked flavour, wanted more spice.
Got the $88 share steak.with 2 sides,a little pricey for what it was.we left feeling full & it was nice, but was just missing that I'll defs come back here.
J. M.
My partner and I love Aquatine, it is one of our favourite French Restaurants in Brisbane. The quality of food is great value for money and every dish we have ordered there has been full of flavour :)
E. G.
The cuisine is French, lovely appetising creatively detailed plate that was a artwork in the making. The staff were friendly and French accent which made me feel like l was in Paris
p. z.
Food was very average . After hearing good reviews I was very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend to any one.
S. T.
A trio of us (2 gals and a guy), went on a magnificent Sunday afternoon to Aquitaine for their 3.30pm drinks happy hour.
We were greeted by Chris with a warm friendly smile, he escorted us to our table with a view of the Brisbane River.
After 5 minutes we ordered,
Service was was very prompt and always courteous.
The cocktails and drinks arrived in about 5 minutes, they were fabulous.
A delicious cheese platter followed the drinks after 3 minutes more.
The whole selection of cheeses and fruits were scrumptious right to the last Morsel.
The girls both had 1 more cocktail each and also1 more champers each, getting to be 'very happy chappies' by the time the Petit fours came out with coffees.
What started out as a few drinks was starting to turn into a nice relaxing Sunday arvo session.
Chris and his team were very attentive and exceedingly friendly to our trio.
I would recommend Aquitaine, Chris and his team to casual or regular diners.
Their menu is exciting with a few twists thrown in and should cater to almost every dietary requirement.
This was our second sojourn, we WILL be back frequently for 3rd,4th,5th and so on.
All I can say is YUMMY.
Cheers
Steve
A.
The market fish in clam sauce tasted great, but the portion was quite small and more importantly, the service was extremely slow even though there weren't many other diners to start with. It was the wait staff who were slow rather than those preparing the food.
L. b.
Wasn't a fan of escargot the first time i tried it, but this chef does something magical with their creations, throw out any reservations about food you dont usually like when you dine here, this shef is a master of suprised, all their dishes ive tried so far are amazing in ways i didnt think possible. Go see for yourself
M. C.
it's the right place to go if you are after great views while having above average meal and wine list. Most of the time you will have friendly staffs, relaxing ambience to enjoy time with loved ones/clients/family/friends.
S. H.
The food is absolutely fantastic. We ordered from the pre-show menu and it was just delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a really great night.
D. K.
I had lunch here on a whim and discovered a fine dining experience at brasserie prices, with brasserie-sized portions. It felt like somewhere posh without the ponceyness. Seriously good food with warm and efficient service.
C. S. A.
Food was amazing and very well priced. Service was excellent.
G. E.
Magnificent food and service with outstanding selection of accompanying beverage
M. R.
In my opinion French cuisine at its best and based on good quality ingredients. Excellent table service. Definitely on my list for future dining. ☺
T. P.
Never fails to satisfy the steak was great and the bouillabaisse was one of the best we've ever had
R. M.
Meals are very hit and miss. Some dishes were fantastic and some were just bland. Escargo was swamped in a bland sauce with another bland sauce for dipping. The fig salad was fantastic. The quail was okay and so was candied beetroot. The steak was awesome the gnocchi and lamb was badly portioned with to little sauce and exceesingly salty. The cmusscles were drenched in a overpowering thick dill cream sauce and the ponfriettes were just unpeeled partially cooked potato wedges.
Overall not worth the cost unless you stick to the fig salad and the wagyu steak
B. C.
Recently had an executive round table dinner event here ... food was awesome and service was awesome too
B. A.
Just went there for a drink with a few friends, so can't speak to the menu but the service was beyond top-notch. Friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. Would recommend the place highly and will be going back again.
D. L.
Ironically the fries were the best thing…
J. F. (. C. r.
Incredible contemporary French cuisine perfectly executed with very professional service and incredible waterfront views. Pricey but well worth it. Thanks we will be back
H. N.
Nice restaurant. Good location looking over the river at South bank. Service was good
S. B.
Great location, good food and staff. The menu is excellent and great wine selection. Pate, charcuterie, steak frites. All delicious. Good selection of cocktails and sweets. Highly recommend
C. H.
Wonderful relaxed service with delicious food. We had 4 courses and drinks, and the end price was below what we expected.
P. S.
Very good food but I'm not sure if genuinely French. It is most likely Australian food influenced by French flavours. This is very fine for me.
M. W.
Nice view great food and good atmosphere. Definitely going back 👍
T. W.
Loved it. Service was warm & professional & the food was remarkably affordable considering how crazy-good it was! Lovely views & atmosphere. Will definitely be back. Highly reccommend👌☺
A. C.
The food is delicious and the waiters are dedicated and very attentive. Really, one of my best experience in a restaurant !
C. G.
What a lovely experience! Great staff and delicious food. Great for a once in a while, spoil yourself meal as it is on the upper end of the prices.
D. G. V.
Incredible selection of food. We opted for the dips, gnocchi, hay smoked roast chicken for 2 and frites and charred greens. A delicious and filling meal !
K. H.
It took a very long time between dishes, food was nice, just not at the level I was expecting, good price
T. n. C. B.
Very attentive service. Great food, well prepared and presented. Value for money.
A. A.
Amazing food, and the staff very attentive. There was a slight problem with our order but they sorted it out straight away. Highly recommended
I. L. B.
Another amazing lunch with bottomless wines. Great staff great food great view...
N. B.
The food was okay... That French cusine is not really my cup of tea and the dishes really didn't satisfy my tastebuds.
K. U.
Ah la bella vita! Un vero gentiluomo. Make a reservation in advance at the Aquitaine in South Bank. Be sure to request a the panoramic view of the river. A memory that will be oozing and flowing the sweet delights of French cuisine, an experience surely to dispose even the likes of an experienced palate to its culinary charms, a venue to truly behold in a romantic evening of enduring pleasures leaving an indelible mark on the vestiges of your dear hearts. - Zataaz

The most beautiful restaurant I've ever eaten at. Amazing food and service. Definitely a place where you bring someone for a very special day.
R. Y.
Lovely food in a quiet shady location.
Superb desserts, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Long black was excellent.
J. W.
Been here a couple of times and never disappoints. Good food, great views. We always get the snails, so good.
C. L.
food was good and all - but food portion is very French. We ended up cooking at home after dining here, and we've spent about $80 each (party of 8)...
E. U.
Good food. The cassoulet was a really well cooked French dish although there should be more meat in 🍖! as when you get one in Toulouse there is plenty of it.
B. F.
WOW, What a restaurant! Amazing food, Amazing service from Kate and Amazing location. We absolutely loved it!!!
A. H.
Yummy food, great service, great atmosphere. They making sure that my kids are comfy in the winter by turned the heaters. Definitely will be back.

Love this restaurant, have been back multiple times and great every time! Great food and great people!
M. A.
Yummy, modern French food! Good value, great tasting meals, friendly staff and nice view across the river.
K. L.
Had a brilliant time sharing dinner with close friends. The charcuterie board was an excellent way to start, and the creme brulee an excellent way to finish.
D. D.
5 star French food, beautiful views of the Brisbane River and attentive, knowledgeable staff all make for a delightful dinning experience. Highly recommended.
H. C.
Lovely food and atmosphere, came here on a busy Saturday night and enjoyed ourselves very much. Would be awesome if they validated parking in South bank parklands though.
J. H.
Beautiful location, attentive staff, generous serving sizes, reasonably priced.
T. H.
Great service, breathtakingly sensational food, top location, great vibe, superb views. What's not to like?! Will most definitely be back!
Y. S.
Lovely. Had the set lunch menu on a Sunday. Food quality superb.
M. G.
We've been here 4 times and always a great meal. Competitively priced.
Have recommended to a number of friends. An asset for south bank.
N. B.
Excellent front of house team, gorgeous food and a nice little selection of drinks. Plus an excellent atmosphere. Would definitely come here again
J. M.
I went here with a small group, food was excellent and service was amazing. I'll be back!

Fantastic food and the service is 10+ thanks for a great afternoon Aquitaine - we will be back
