A beautiful restaurant with stunning river views. The restaurant has high ceilings and windows which show off the location. Food was excellent, my favourite was the mushroom gnocchi and the prosciutto pizza. Food came out very quickly. I think service could be improved, we were not asked for dessert and did not have our water glasses filled after our food was cleared away. Overall a great dinner!

The food, location, dining room and value for money was great. Service could have started earlier - staff seemed underprepared for our group of 16 that were coming with a drinks package where drink choices were limited. Had to wait much longer than expected. In saying that, the staff were friendly and accommodating
S.
Great spot on the banks of Brisbane River with views to the city and Storey Bridge. The service was a little slow, but quality and style were there. The cocktails were great and food even better. Great place for a romantic meal, or get together. Great experience and I look forward to visiting again.
M. A. G.
The vibe is only as good as the food. Perfection next to the water one could say. Arancini is a MUST if you want to visit. Pizza is a 10. Definitely coming back…

Great restaurant and amazing staff. Our servers were very attentive, warm and welcoming - they made our evening all the more enjoying as they seemed to really understand my parties vibe and needs. They were also really engaging - encouraging me to pop my own bottle of Prosecco and to really make the most of our food and drinks package/set menu.
All staff really seemed to enjoy their job!
The food was amazing! All dietary requirements catered for with no hassles or mix ups. I can see why this Ciao Papi was recommended to me by so many people and I will definitely be doing so myself to others. Can’t wait to go back!

Delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the Ragu, although it was very rich, I ordered avocado on the side which went well with it. Loved the atmosphere. Heaps of seating. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back.

My workplace recently held our work Christmas party here and wanted to show our appreciation for the staff that looked after us so well. They catered to a million and one dietary requirements and were so warm and helpful from start to finish. They created a beautiful atmosphere and service was beyond excellent despite it being a busy spot.
Food & drinks delicious, view is beautiful. One of our main servers, Natasha, was absolutely amazing with kind service and fantastic recommendations. We were looked after extremely well and it was a beautiful night!

The venue is on the water and really stunning.
The the food fresh, cheerful and delicious. The main event was Emily, our really vibrant and awesome waitress. Quick, efficient and always down for a chat! She really made the whole experience really pleasant, and inviting. RECAP: Food 10/10, staff 10/10 and cocktails, also 10/10! Definitely recommend

I took my girlfriend there for a romantic date. This restaurant has the best view of the Story Bridge. The weather was fantastic. We sat on the deck with candle light and really enjoyed the romantic dinner together. We had wagyu beef and burrata dishes. They tasted really good. I highly recommended them. I had gnocchi paste as my main course. It tasted pretty good but not the best. Staff were very friendly. I accidentally booked the wrong restaurant but the manager was able to get us a table. That was really good. See my photos.
S. M.
We were fortunate to be seated at the font of the restaurant with spectacular night views of the Story Bridge. Staff were most accommodating to our request for a view. The arancini was delicious and would highly recommend the gnocchi and the rocket salad. Would definitely dine here again.
I. H.
No a bad variety of menu options, would like to see a more extensive cocktail menu.
Gnocci was ok, a phew too many mushrooms and not enough bacon. No spark in the flavour. Table service was good. 3.5 /5 ☆
L. H.
Wow! How good is the view. Happy to report that the food was also great. No complaints about the service. Reasonable priced menu for the location. Lovely night out with the family.

I highly recommend this restaurant for any lunch, dinner or function. I had my 21st Birthday lunch here with a group booking and we absolutely loved it! The food was incredible as was the service. In particular, Julio. He took care of our table of 25 for the whole 2.5 hours and ensured we received the best service for the duration of our booking. Again, I would highly recommend Ciao Papi!
G. L.
Went their for my wife's birthday with the family, while they don't have a kids menu we got some starters and a pizza for them to share, plenty of good options for the kids. Portions sizes are great, on the lean size meaning you don't over eat with a starter. Everything we had was excellent, including the staff, highly recommended. We sat at 4pm, just as the sun set into the city skyline.
A. K.
Beautiful views. I prefer the vibe at night bc they put the little fairy lights on. These pics were from lunch in the summer.
N. G.
Every time I've come here it's been great! Staff are friendly and the food is fantastic. Check for prices online to see if you think it's worth it but the view definitely makes it worth it in my opinion

The place is advertised as a family-friendly Italian restaurant online. Specifically from their website, it states they are a place to relax over a “delicious meal with friends, colleagues, neighbours and family because everyone is welcome.” This does not give the impression that this place is a licensed venue that requires ID to enter like a bar or a club.
One of our party forgot her wallet at home, and was told she could not enter without ID. Legal policy is understandable, however it was extremely frustrating as they are not advertised online as a licensed venue, there is no mention of needing ID to enter online or on their website where they say they supposedly “welcome everyone.” Had they mentioned this at time of booking, we would’ve been careful to ensure everyone had their ID on them. The restaurant had several families with children dining, so we asked why they were allowed when our friend couldn’t enter at all. They told us this was because the children were with a legal guardian as legally required, but the QLD Regulations Liquor Act states that a minor must be accompanied by a responsible adult, as we all were, not a legal guardian, so this still puts to question why our friend wasn’t allowed to dine with us.
The waitress also explained they had the same license as Mr Percival’s and share a venue. However, Mr Percival’s is advertised as a bar online not a casual restaurant for “family dinners” as Ciao Papi’s site states. It’s understandable and expected to need ID to enter Mr Percival’s. Constructively to management, if you are a licensed venue like a bar or a club, your website needs to be updated to reflect this. It’s not fair to turn away patrons who have driven 45 minutes to get there and paid $20 for parking when you have not explained your restaurant policy at the time of booking or have any mention of being a licensed venue online.
On the plus side, the view was amazing with good food and our server was lovely. It’s a shame that management’s lack of attention to their own advertising made for a time and money waste to one of our party which really wasn’t fair given it was on their lack of communication about needing ID to enter, which could have easily been conveyed when we booked.
J. K.
Embarrassingly slow service when ordering drinks - about a 30 minute wait for one cocktail.
Hardly any vegan options.
The venue is lovely but the inexperienced waiters and long wait times mean we wouldn’t return.
The price point just doesn’t match what is provided.
Hope things improve. :)

Love the view and ambience but not the food.
Ps: I also waited for my mains more than 1 hour.
S. S.
Great location with amazing views.
Some great food and good atmosphere. The pasta was excellent!
N. G.
Very cool restaurant at the Howard Smith Wharves.
The cacio e pepe was particularly good. As was the 2020 San Michele Soave Classico from the small but interesting wine list.
On top of the food and wine, it's worth coming here for the views alone, which are nothing short of spectacular.
A. B.
Great food, wine and staff. A special shout out to Gloria who was our server for the night and was helpful, polite and friendly. The desserts were delicious. The decor and atmosphere were also really nice.
B. C.
The view and service was fantastic. I really enjoyed all the entrees, which we made as our mains as a tasting share platter. The dishes were tasty and not over filling and very refreshing. We also had the veal which was very nice.
We also had the garlic bread and pizza, which was ok but we probably didn't need it. It was fine but not that great. In their defence no where is. I will add to please cut the pizza properly so we don’t rip it to pieces, that being said i would like to extend this advice to every where in the world that serves pizza.
M. J.
If you’re after an Italian inspired meal, a glass of expensive wine with an Instagrammable view of Brisbane - then this ticks those boxes.
But if you are after a true Italian experience, like you’ve stepped into the heart of Italy as you take a bite of the food and close your eyes you are transported back to that evening at the trattoria where you first exchanged glances with Massimiliano - then you may be disappointed.
Ciao Papi’s menu choices a derivative of a restaurant whose facade is Italian but whose heart and soul are not. Having said that, the food was good but not so good I’d write back to my famiglia. The wine list was decent, as were the beer and cocktail lists.
The prices were what I would expect of a restaurant on Howard Smith Wharves. I will say the service we received from our wonderful German waitress was exceptional. She was friendly, kind and responsive.

Food is average, drinks are good
Antipasti menu is good, most of it was quite nice (beef tartare bruschetta and zucchini flowers were yum), skip the arancini balls (no flavour)
Pizzas definitely better than the pastas, crusts are really thin and crispy not the doughy side; mushroom pizza was good, can’t remember what the other pizzas were but a red one was slightly spicy and good
Linguini with prawn was very oily and gluggy but the flavour was not bad, on the other hand the green pasta was pretty bland I wasn’t quite sure what the kind of pasta was
Tiramisu was good, whilst the tartufo was literally a scoop of hazelnut ice cream on a plate.. get the tiramisu
Views are nice
Service is friendly

Was not blown away by this place. Went for a work Xmas party it felt like the night was more than the business could handle. Perhaps more staff needed. Food was just average, nothing really stood out.
Staff were doing their best with service and the view- amazing.
M. D.
Went here for a birthday dinner with my family. Staff were nice but the mains came out at different times so some of us had finished our meals before others at our table had received theirs. Although the food was yummy, the portion sizes for the pasta were very small and most of us were still hungry after finishing. I had been here before and had enjoyed meals which were a lot larger, so must have recently halved the portion sizes which is a shame. We had also ordered a bottle of wine half way through the meal to have with our food but the staff did not bring it out until the end once we had finished
V. P.
Service was amazing and food was just as good! My fav was the Nduja. Im obsessed!

What a great weekend dinner at Cioa Papi at Howard Smith Wharves with these beautiful companies.
I have heard about how good this place is from Pitch and couldn't agree more.
🌅 I'm always impressed with the view from @howardsmithwharves area.
Thank you Ria and Alba who is taking care our table. definitely give you guys 5 stars service.
🍽 My fav is Spaghetti, prawn, chilli, garlic, olive oil and Lasagna (Special menu of the night)
This place is good and more comfortable dinner spot compare with other area at Howard Smith Wharves.
M. H.
Spectacular location near the bridge with the city scape in the background. Service was a little on the slow side and there was a mistake with our order. The food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented.
j.
Awesome service and delicious Italian food. I tried wide range of starters, salads and side dishes so I must come back to try pizza and pasta! Obviously the view is one of the best but I guess everyone already know that :)
L.
Great location, nice views and vibes. We liked the order and pay system, scanned QR to see the menus with pics, order drinks and food, then used Apple Pay to pay right away. Easy and Perfect for current time.
Staffs were friendly, but seemed still confused about the table numbers.
M. S.
Stopped in for breakfast on the deck, and had a delightful experience. Outstanding food and service was spot on. The mushroom omelette was beautiful!!!
K. P.
Always world class pasta with cheeses I have never heard of before. Lychee martinis are always a winner too. The entire complex taxes through the nose on Sundays though so just watch out for that but very atmospheric and beautiful.
W. G.
Had a wonderful time ,we had the set menu for about 40 of us with the river n story bridge as back drop was great. Patricia was our waitress, she made us all feel very welcome with good service , we'll be back.
E. J.
Amazing food, sensational attentive service and spectacular view!
Perfect night with family members. We ordered a couple of items off the antipasti menu, then had a pasta (LOVE how they served the pasta as a pre-mains dish, my uncle was impressed with how traditional values were kept in a modern venue!)... the prawns were amazing and finished it all off with a tiramisu! Was basically rolling home. Will return again!
A. W.
Great restaurant! The service was very prompt and friendly. Food was served quickly. Highly recommend the pizzas. Amazing views of the city and Story Bridge. Nice place to go for a date night.
N. M.
great food, lovely views, tasty cocktails !
K. P.
AMAZING location!!! Staff were super helpfull, food incredible, view stunning! Absolutely coming back here again!!
H. B.
Good place and atmosphere good place to go and eat only problem I had was that two of the items that they show on their Google images they don’t serve it any more
W. S.
Beautiful location overlooking the Brisbane River. Staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to cater for you. The food .. if you want delicious authentic Italian food this is the place to go. Food was delicious, my experience was fantastic and will certainly dine there again.
A. E.
Had another wonderful experience last night.
My guests were knocked out with a view as good as the food and the service.
We’ll be back for sure
B.
Nice venue. Riverview. Staff are friendly. They charge $5 on a Sunday but reasonable.
D. K.
Super lovely staff! Had a great meal with my family overlooking the river.
L.
Five star for the tiramisu and food. All my friends had tiramisu here loved it. So surprised a review said it’s the worst tiramisu in town LMAO maybe you should be in Italy if your standard is so high.
A. J.
Great food. Good service. Fantastic location.
I would like the music a bit quieter, so it's easier to hear the whole table.
P. M.
Beautiful spot in Brisbane for a lovely meal!! Great surrounding area too, for a post dinner stroll and/or drink 😊
G. K.
We had our work Christmas party here on Saturday night and the food and staff were great. Was a magic night with the lightning over the city/river/bridge, view was fantastic.
A. S.
This place is amazing. Service and food was fantastic with a beautiful view.
L. B.
I was really excited to partake in the Pasta & Pino experience, but because of poor service and slightly above average food, I'm not sure I'll return. For the service, I arrived about 30 minutes early and planned to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view before my friends arrived. I was seated fairly quickly, but no staff stopped by for the first 20 minutes to even say hello or check in on me. I finally had to flag someone down to get service to order which was disappointing. Throughout the meal, there were so many staff members walking up and down the boardwalk but wouldn't check in. We had an early Tuesday dinner and it wasn’t overly busy. I am not sure if there are specific table assignments, but typically I would expect all staff members to engage with patrons no matter their allocated areas. We would have spent more money on food and drinks outside the Pasta and Pinot package, but because we had to chase service down, we opted for a quick meal. There was also an issue with the bill and our server overcharged us. I realise accidents happen, but with inattentive service overall, it wasn’t that enjoyable.
The view is spectacular so that was at least one enjoyable element for the evening.
H. M.
You come for the food but end up staying for the location which is a great spot on the river. Food was just, ya know…. Service however was good
T. M.
The place was located close to story Bridge. The diner had great views which could be seen in the prices. The prices for pasta varied from 16-24$ for example. The I ordered pasta which tasted really good, but the dish was kind of smallish. Staff was decent, got orders in time and were friendly but nothing outstanding.
M. H.
Lovely food and awesome venue! Staff were also great, but being held to a 1.5hr booking window when there's plenty of free tables is little odd.
J. W.
Excellent food and service. Cheap Tuesday had great deals.
L. N.
Absolutely amazing food and service, all dishes we immaculate and Nick was so accomodating and made our experience incredible! Enjoyed everything, certainly coming back!
J. B.
Great food and the location is superb right on the Brisbane River . Service was good friendly staff I will visit again . The restaurant was recommended to me and it lived up to its reputation.
B. Z.
Came here for breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised! Delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and a killer riverfront view. Pork ragu was outstanding and so was the coconut yogurt and fruit salad. We both left with smiles and full bellies. We'll be back!
E. D.
Absolutely beautiful. Food was delicious, we shared rigatoni, gnocchi, margherita and prosciutto pizzas. We will be back for sure!!! Service was also friendly and efficient.
J. S.
Friendly staff, delicious food and an amazing view of the story bridge and cbd.
E. M.
Really lovely setting with great river views. The staff were all very accommodating and knowledgeable, they actually seemed to genuinely care if you enjoyed your experience. In particular Natasha was a gem. The food was great, although I wouldn't call the size of the pasta "to share" more than a single serve.
B. H.
Had dinner with a group of 5 last night and the service was really great with friendly staff and beautiful view and seating. Although our food came out separately which can be awkward for others at the table and the pizzas was served on the same plate it was cooked on. Cocktail jugs were served in a small water jug with a load of ice for $40 which seemed very overpriced. Other than that a romantic setting and great place for dinner with family or friends.
j. s.
Wow! Food was amazing and service even better, I highly recommend this place, and too top it off view was breathtaking.
G. F.
Great view, good service and AMAZING pizza! Coming from an Italian 🇮🇹😉 definitely will bring my friends next time

We had a girls night out - the food was lovely and the cocktails even better! The service was outstanding all night and just the perfect spot with spectacular views of Brisbane on the river. I would like to particularly mention Natasha, she was so helpful and ensured our needs were always met.
Would definitely recommend.

Amazing food with great service and a wonderful vibe.

Last minute dinner and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and the setting and view was amazing. The meals were spectacular. Honest Italian food with good portions and cooked to perfection. I can recommend the calamari and the Prawn pasta. Ciao
M. R.
Overall an amazing experience at Ciao Papi. The service was great, after a delayed dish, Hannah our waitress, was incredibly apologetic and did everything she could to ensure we were happy and looked after. Her service is highly commended. Very reasonably priced, good food and great service made got a great night out.
W. L.
The ambience of the resturant is fantastic, as is most others along the wharf. But that probably is the only thing to rave about the place. Had the spaghetti and prawn pasta which was very salty to begin with, and they later replaced it but the taste was underwhelming, did not have that seafood flavour to it. The thin crust bug pizza was alright, kids pizza was so so. The kids bolognaese was probably the best dish we ordered. The service was good and waiters/waitresses were nice. Overall, an alright place.
S. V.
Definitely the best Italian I have ever tried in Australia so far. The garlic bread was so tasty and fresh and I felt in love with their gnocchi, delicious.
Also had some beef ragu pasta, pizza and capresse.
Everything was very good and tasty.
The waitress did an amazing job in helping us pick out dishes. Very good choices.
M. S.
Very enjoyable, great table on the deck for mothers day dinner. Great food, Zucchini flowers & Saltimbocca a must! Good friendly attentive service, although I think there was a bit on confusion with all the different servers for who was dealing with what table. Jug of cocktails ordered mid-sitting didnt show so asked for it to be cancelled but it still ended up on the bill which we brought to staffs attention and was sorted. Was only a minor foible and certainly didnt ruin a good night! More a 4.4-4.5 rather than just 4 star.
B. L.
Wonderful experience. The server was very helpful and was genuinely interested in our dining experience. The view of Brisbane is outstanding. The food was excellent with the calamari the best we have ever eaten. The freshly made gnocchi with local mushrooms and pancetta was great, and the Italian sausage pizza was superb. Will certainly return when next in Brisbane.
J. G.
I Visited Ciao Papi for breakfast on a Saturday without any expectation and came out with an impression to come back again. The reason for 4 star was that the mushroom omelette was amazing but a little small/thin compared to the pricing. The pork ragu with poached egg on the other hand had a generous serving (same price). The staff were friendly but at the same time seemed less experienced? they had to confirm the order multiple times although only ordering 2 dishes 2 drinks, and different waiters constantly came to ask if we were ready to order or to check that we have ordered to a point it became awkward. Towards 11am, the sunrays started to shine through to the outside tables and became so hot that we had to leave. I also thought the thank you email from restaurant manager was a nice touch.
J. T.
It was a picture perfect evening and with the booking allowing us to specify it was a birthday, we were pleasantly impressed with the greeting asking who’s birthday it was as we arrived. Service and food was actually 5 stars. I was a little hangry when it took a while between the starter and the pizza, but it soon became apparent the staff here knew what they were doing and wanted to ensure we had a good experience. Props to the maître d'hôtel. I left my license behind and they went to the trouble of calling me up, matching my name on the booking. Highly recommended.
M. W.
Amazing Mother's Day breakfast share plates with great views. We were very looked after by serving staff and offered coffee and Prosecco at just the right times! Would visit again for dinner.
B. S.
A gem of service and quality in the heart of Brisbane. Outstanding views of the river, fantastic and traditional food complimented with a good drink menu. The service is very welcoming and friendly. I felt as if I was eating in a family home in the Italian countryside.
Definitely recommend.
M. G.
Wonderfully Italian. Best pizza and pasta. Super authentic in a fabulous Italian decor and location overlooking the Story Bridge. It’s tucked away yet well priced and gorgeous. We worth the visit!
J. S.
Really lovely venue, food was good and decent priced. However service was quite bad. We waited a long time for our meals which is understandable under busy situations. However two meals came out and we had to wait 15 minutes for the other four to arrive.
S. M. C.
Most amazing place to eat Italian with breathtaking views
L. C.
The staff were so so lovely - we had the best experience dining here. Ji- the host - was exceptional. The food was divine - we had the gnocchi, caprese, zucchini flowers, and two cocktails. This is my second time dining here and inside and outside areas are both brilliant. Well done!
J. W.
If you're looking for a good meal at a reasonable price topped off with second to none view than Ciao Papi is for you.
The entrance is misleadingly small, once inside the venue opens up to a perfect view of the Story Bridge and the passing boats on the Brisbane River.
I've been twice - for business and personal. The service both times was great and the food out not long after ordering.
The pizza is perfect for 1 person, the pasta also fine - but you might need a entrée or desert if the pasta is your dish of choice!
J. F.
Excellent location but the pizza was very basic, quite small and lacked toppings. Certainly not the worst pizza i have had, but there are quite a few Italian restaurants within Brisbane that are much better for taste and value. Beer list is also very ordinary.
N. M.
Yesterday my boyfriend and I celebrated our 6th anniversary, it was a perfect night, such a great service. The waiter Hervin recommended us great antipasti and secondies, and his advice was terrific. Thank you Ciao papi staff for a great night. We will be back
B. C.
Beautiful view on the Brisbane River. Delicious food and drinks. The service is always 10/10. Their lunch and dinner is delicious, but I love their breakfast menu (Saturday/Sunday) the Omelet and Ragu are my favourites!
M. F.
Fabulous! Went there for a friend's birthday on their re-opening night and will definitely be coming back! Service was fast, staff were lovely and very attentive. Meals were yum! We ordered pizzas and tried many of their cocktails and beers. View of the river is 10/10. Definitely a great dinning experience!
A. S.
Have been here 3 times now in the last 6 weeks!
Seriously can't get enough of it - each dish I try is delicious! & the view of the story bridge is the cherry on top! Will be back for more! Recommend to all family & friends
L. H.
The staff were friendly and outstanding food. On top of the food and wine, it's worth coming here for the views alone, which are nothing short of spectacular.
T. S.
A really lovely experience being the first time visiting Ciao Papi with friends. From the front desk on entry through to leaving and heading to Felon's for a continuation of our dining experience, we were attended to quickly and with warmth and smiles. At the end of having lunch and drinks, our waiter kindly asked if we would like him to book us a reservation at Felon's so we felt as if we were almost in a hotel (of course we said yes!). Food was delicious and the beverages flowed smoothly without having a huge wait. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again 😀
C. S.
Food was nothing to RAVE about.... (3 stars). mains were slow. Pizza was super slow and all mains where delivered at different times making eating by yourself a little stupid (2 stars) . prices were reasonable. location is perfect (5 stars) and the staff were also great and friendly (5 stars).
D. M.
The food was authentic Italian. The service was lovely and the staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes. We were visiting with kids and they were very accomodating. The beautiful views of Story Bridge doesn’t hurt either.
S. H.
Excellent spot. Easy to use online booking, very pleasant front of house & exceptional service. Not a huge menu but a wealth of choice. The veal tonnato starter was very good & the lamb was fantastic. The view is hard to beat, highly recommended.
j. s.
Wow! Food was amazing and service even better, I highly recommend this place, and too top it off view was breathtaking.
H. A.
For a group social event it worked perfectly... great setting ...great food.. good service
A. C.
Atmosphere was great and views were wonderful but we found food was pretty average.. second time here and still of the same opinion. Will come back for drinks 🍹
M. d. H.
Food is amazing and not too expensive. Had the calamari and pizza. Beautiful place to sit looking over the river. Lovely service too. I will be back.
R. S.
Lovely atmosphere and view. Solid drinks menu. Food was a bit disappointing.
J. B.
Amazing food, perfect drinks, and Hannah was the perfect server- attentive, friendly, let us know her recommendations and made us feel so welcome! We will definitely be back! Thank you!
G. D.
Great time here, awesome service, menu and view of the city
P. M.
Intentional service. Jessy the waiter; a young fella went above & beyond to provide an extraordinary experience. Jessy wrote with pencil on the menu all the options & menu alterations to cater for a vegan or vegetarian diet. Ciao Papi I hope that you celebrate front of staff like Jessy who show such intention. It makes the difference.
Thanks Jessy!
L. O.
We had a great experience with our waitress Natasha! She was so helpful and friendly, and made sure that we had a lovely night. I will definitely be coming back here :)
T. M.
Amazing view, delicious food and yummy cocktails!
K. W.
Had a lovely lunchtime experience, the food was great and our waiter was very good. The atmosphere was on point. It was great that they also looked after you as you left, organising our table at felons as we continued our evening there.
S. R.
Food was beautiful and excellent attention to detail provided by the friendly staff. Will be returning!
K. R.
Great venue inside by the window. Stunning service. Not too pricey for me.
H. B.
I thought the food here was exceptionally good- we didn’t have any of the mains but the antipasti and salads we got were killer. The service we received and general ambiance of the place was also excellent. The only issue we experienced was that our drinks were served over ice but still warm, and the coke was flat, but the food was so good that we weren’t even mad. Just a couple of suggestions for when you revise your menu - adding some non-alcoholic Italian sodas would be lovely, and an antipasti / meat and cheese platter would simplify a bit for us lazy orderers. Thanks for the great meal guys, we will definitely be back.

Location is beautiful, staff are super accommodating and friendly. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. I would recommend the fusilli pasta which is so simple but so amazing. Would definitely recommend!
A. C.
My friends and I had a great time at Ciao Papi! The food and ambience was amazing, as well as the waiter who looked after our table (I think his name was Huan?) We briefly mentioned it was my friend's birthday and he did everything we could ask to make her day special. Overall amazing place and we will definitely be back soon :)
G. G.
Lovely Italian food, with lovely cocktails and amazing view! Staff was great, always checking on us and very friendly! Definitely will go again! The pizza is the best one i had in Brisbane 😊
B. V.
Always a great meal - the best location and friendly staff.
T. J.
Really great food and service! The view is absolutely stunning :)
J. C.
Tasty food great location. Parking is on the rich side. Large groups over 10 can be restricted with the set menu so best to clarify and establish this with the restaurant on booking. There were some items on the menu that looked nice will try this next time with a smaller group.

This was my first visit to Ciao Papi to celerbrate two of my friends birthday. The experiance was Great and I want t extend a LARGE thank you to Natasha L for her beatuiful service and awesome personality. We could literally see her smile and good will beyond the mask. Her tone in her voice and how her eyes smiled for her. Later that evening we went to another cafe and the service was extremely different and sad in comparison. So thank you Natasha for your lovely service and great attitude it really put a positive spin to our evening. Please don't ever loose that joy😁

I can really tell this restaurant have the perfect Italian experience. Really authentic Italian food. Outstanding views of the city. Enjoy the service by Javiera and also the Negronis made by Ervin. Great job everyone. Hope to be back soon.
c.
The ambiance and view is stunning! Food and service is great! Will comeback next time
K. H.
Good food and fair price, friendly staff but be mindful of an evening, due to its fantastic river location it can get a little chilly *May visit for context. I am sure summer etc it's glorious 🌞🌞🌞
E. H.
Decent food and coffee standard for area. Great view ... odd that the kitchen closes between breakfast and lunch on weekends. Seems all day breaky is commonplace.
C. H.
I came here with my boyfriend tonight for dinner. Food and service was so good. I asked for a special cocktail at the bar and the bartender Arven made me an "amore mio".. It was so great! Super friendly guy. Would recommend this place to friends 😊👍

Unfortunately, after our recent dinner experience, we would not return to or recommend Ciao Papi. Our pre-booked group of 8 adults + 3 children felt like an inconvenience to our waitress, which made the tip request at the end all the more irritating. I agree with other reviews, that the antipasto platter was over priced. Our mains were average in quality & taste as well. The Angus skirt steak was tough, the crab pasta dish too oily, the prawn pasta with only small prawn pieces & at $12, the bowl of cabbage as a side was uninspiring. The tiramisu was enjoyable, the view was lovely but the company was the best part of our evening.
D.
service was a little slow however the waiter did explain as we were leaving that they were under staffed.. food was good but I do not recommend the antipasti platter it was $34 and we received two different selections of meat (3 pieces of each) and a hand full of olives, Felt was extremely over priced. We ordered the prawn tagliatelle which was extremely tasty, Overall experience was ok.

The glasshouse is a nice function space, but you will be blinded by the late afternoon sun.
K. R.
wonderful service and so beautiful looking over the bridge. the gnocchi was fluffy but just needed some more taste. caprese salad was super fresh. they take bookings online.

Can't fault the riverfront location, and the food is good (wouldn't go as far as excellent), although I'm disappointed the original tapas style menu is gone. The Italian theme is just a bit ho hum compared to the innovative tapas menu of earlier days. Maybe it was just too adventurous for the Brisbane crowd. The food is on the pricier side, but if it's good, it's worth it for that and the location. The wine is horrendously expensive. I work in the wine trade & so I know the huge margins that are being applied to the wines. The high prices are possibly a factor of overarching wine supply agreements with the main wharf facility management, but someone's making a serious margin on the wines. What I find incomprehensible for a weekend lunchtime is that Ciao Papi don't serve coffee, I understand the demarcation of food service amongst the separate businesses in the same facility, but then the coffee bar at the rear of the shed housing Ciao Papi closes at 3pm on a weekend afternoon, and the machines shut down before then if they're not busy. So if you've enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the deck and would like to finish off with a coffee after 3pm, or the designated driver would like something other than water or soft drink, it's impossible to get coffee on a weeknd afternoon. And the coffee bar staff were clueless as to where the next nearest coffee was available. This operation in silos without consideration for seamless visitor experiences smacks of large catering company mentality (mainly from the coffee bar operators - although I'm mystified why coffee isn't available at an Italian style cafe on the main deck, even if just for in-house diners). The service staff on the main deck did a good job, but it was a long wait between entree & main course so when the kitchen is busy, don't be in a hurry.

Perfect dinner with an amazing view. The service was 10/10, we had the best night. Thank you, we will be back.
G. S.
Authentic Italian dinner. The fish was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back. Suggestive location, directly under the story bridge, along the river
A. N.
Service was really good but the food was so plain and not worth the money. Prawn and spaghetti tasted like tinned spaghetti with a few frozen prawns. A bit disappointed for the price. Steak was served with an overwhelming amount of plain green leaves. Unfortunately won’t be back.
M. V.
Actually incredible. The most gorgeous location/decor, ridiculously good food (get the prawn pasta) and the most lovely staff. Highly recommend!
A.
Average food. The burrata had no flavour. The pastas were all good. The bbq prawns were done well. The fish was way over salted. The service was also quite poor. An extra 4 dishes we ordered never arrived. Ended up cancelling them as we were at the end of our lunch by then
N. M.
Nice venue overlooking the river. Good choice of menu. Calamari and Napoli pizza hard to go past. Service was good too.
B.
Juan was the most wonderful waiter, our drinks were late because they ran out of jugs but he was so sweat about it and made sure that we didn’t have to pay and also made sure we got them, he knew a lot about the menu and could help us pick our drinks and food!
Thankyou so much!
N. H.
Pasta a little too al dente but otherwise a lovely night out.
E. B.
My partner and i thoroughly enjoyed our meal here! We had the prawn pasta which was so simple, yet very delicious. We had the prosciutto with focaccia, and the tartare - I'm an anchovy fan so I especially loved this dish!
R. H.
Came here for a casual dinner on Thursday night at sundown. Yes it’s a beautiful spot, probably best view on the river really, but it was more than that. We ordered focaccia of course which was warm and delicious. It went perfectly with all our other nibbles like cured meats and burrata... and a bottle of rose too. We kept grazing and had a bottle of Pino noir as we ordered more including juicy waygu steak and sides. Friendly relaxed service. I left full, happy and relaxed. What more could you want from a casual meal.
K. G.
We had a lovely experience (two so far actually) at Ciao Papi. Good and friendly service. Very attentive. And the food we had was delicious. Did I mention the stunning view?
A. L.
We had a great time at Ciao Papi! Food and drinks were great and staff were also great. Looking forward to heading back. Can’t beat the amazing view of the story bridge and river!
C. R.
Food is absolutely delicious, and the view is just incredible! Will absolutely be back again!
L. M.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious, authentic Italian food. We had a lovely evening with excellent service from Nick. Highly recommend.

Meanwhile Uber eats drivers in driver community groups 🤣🤣
5 star from me for such superb driver's experience that's why there is extra ordinary takeaway reviews 😂😂
PS: I just googled restaurant after this post I don't even know about restaurant 🤣🤣
R. H.
The food was delicious. The expresso Martini's made by bartender Ervin were the best I've ever tasted. Thanks Ciao Papi. I will be back.
S. T.
Beautiful location is a given; however service was excellent, food was superb and ambience is heavenly. The only reason for a 4 is the the menu is slightly limited, especially the desserts. But what we had was perfect. Highly recommended.
P. C.
This is my favourite bar/restaurant in the Howard Smith precinct.. always a great vibe, great drinks, great food and personal service...all the staff are very attentive.. beteen me and you.. if I had a favourite staff member it would have to be Ervin 😉
J. K.
Nice food and great atmosphere right on the Brisbane River

It's a very nice place to enjoy with a partner because it is a quite romantic, but it can still be suit to meet some friends for a good dinner.
The food is delicious and staff is very kind.
J. P. F.
Very fancy evening and love the food. Sam was our waiter and he was outstanding. When I’m back in Brisbane I will return.
P.
Beautiful view and good service. Though the menu is not very interesting in term of food and portion sizes are small for the price.
A.
Lovely view, friendly and attentive service. At the quieter end of Howard Smith Wharves so it's nice for a date or a catch-up with friends. Mains are not huge but are high quality - the goose ragu was soooo good! Nice wine list too.
One suggestion: some hooks to hang handbags near the long table would be amazing - I was so paranoid that I'd knock my bag in the water!
M. E.
The desserts were amazing (Tiramisu and chocolate gelato). The cocktails were really nice as well, thanks to Ervin for those!
S. J.
Great view, good food and fantastic service.
C. R.
View, tick! Food, tick! Ambience, tick! Everything was incredible!
My friend and I came in for dinner last night. The beautiful young bartender came out and spoke to us about the menu as some other waiters were a bit busy. He took our drink order, and came back shortly after with some of the best negronis we have ever had! Magnifica! The ragu was delicious, but needed a tiny bit more cheese! The lovely young man came out with some more cheese though to save the day! Amazing service!
C. B.
Lovely atmosphere,venue,waitrons and music.
Food portions were on the smaller size but tasty.
A. C.
This was the best lunch I've had in a long time. Shared a large selection of dishes amongst friends, all of which were fabulous.
A. R.
I really enjoyed this experience- great view, simple food really well done and the venue itself is very inviting.

Food good, service terrible...We got ignored for 20m, no drink orders, no hello or anything We had to wave the menu in the air to get their attention, also had to tell the waiters 3 times they forgot our drink! Waiters all looked super unhappy to be there and cranky or stressed. It was a little busy, but even when the place cleared we still had bad service, extra plates not cleared, empty beer bottle left on table. There was enough staff to handle the capacity, but the waiters didnt seem very experienced at all. We saw one male waiter later in another bar, he actually apologised for terrible service, which was nice..the food was actually pretty good.
D. B.
Food was excellent, service was good but the hospitality industry has to realise a surcharge on a Sunday (not a public holiday) is a crock of $hite rip off.
M. E.
The desserts were amazing (Tiramisu and chocolate gelato). The cocktails were really nice as well, thanks to Ervin for those!
P. R.
Great location and very good food, not exceptional though which you would expect for the pricing.

All lovely - much less salt on misto and minimum pasta serve should be 100 gms, pasta is not that expensive. I wish you every success.
