Simply a most spectacular and enjoyable experience!!! Have had the privilege of wining and dining here many times and always leave looking forward to the next time!!! Beau and Nadina and team really put their heart and souls into this place and the atmosphere and food…….well it’s just out of this world and I highly recommend everyone goes there to experience it for themselves!!!! I’m very proud to recommend this as the best restaurant in Brisbane!!! You don’t always have to pay the most to get the BEST. Thanks guys, see you soon!!!! Greg

We had a Beefsteak and Burgundy meeting at CC. The food was magnificent without being over the top. The cream brulee was the best I have tasted, unctuous and creamy. The Beefsteak was divine and didn't need a knife. A place I recommend without reservation.

Very unassuming, but fabulous. Been regulars for 15+ years. Having the same meals almost every time - Bruschetta/ Spaghetti Prawns. When something is that good, there's just no reason to change! Excellent service too.

We celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary dinner here, the food was delicious! Do not be fooled by this unassuming cafe located in the middle of New Farm, from start to finish the service was exceptional.

This place has some of the best food I have tasted.For our entres we had Scallop and ginger dumplings and warm bruschetta of seasonal tomatoes . For our mains we had pan seared lambs fry and pink ling fish . For our desserts we had apple tarte tatin,sticky date pudding and creme brulee. Everything was absolutely amazing and very very tasty. We also had a fantastic bottle of red wine and a Venezuelan rum which was sensational.

I have recently returned to the area after quite the time away. Beau Downs has been the host since nearly forever (whether a Sunday or late night weekday) and there is something truly delightful about consistent excellence and familiarity. Wiser, more centred and in the moment types can get 'present' their way. A Monday Mediation with a solo dine at the Continental Cafe is far more to me taste, especially while the chilli prawns and sauage dishes remain, despite time keeping its own time in other places. Thank you to the fine team a fabulous walk through my sort of zen garden.

We lived in temporary accommodation nearby. Our black Labrador would always stop as he passed. A good sign. Went twice, fish of the day was outstanding. The bangers and mash was superb especially the sauce. Second time risotto was excellent. The steak was well cooked, but served only with French fries and no vegetables - this was a disappointment. Amazing modern French cuisine. The food here is exceptional and something I'd likely pay four times the price for in Melbourne in a degustation. The staff were incredibly attentive and made for a romantic meal that was simply heaven on a plate. I would come again if in Brisbane.

Constantly spectacular. There is no better place in Brisbane for a intimate, comfortable and warm atmosphere. Great for intimate bits but also festive and joyful for big gatherings. The menu delights and there isn’t a bad dish. The desserts are the most incredible on a list of already spectacular features. I often come for dessert alone. You won’t regret a visit to the Continental Cafe.

Have been dining here for more than 20 years and the food and service are always great. Last night we had one of the best meals ever. We ordered the daily fish special - pan seared trevally with a very tasty potato gallet with bacon, lots of crunchy green beans and a spectacular beure blanc sauce - and it was just perfect! We made room for a stunning chocolate pudding to finish off a wonderful meal. Can't wait for our next visit!

The Apple tarte tatin is absolutely to die for. I've had it 4 times nowand it never fails to impress. Coq au vin was also just beautiful! I'll keep going back for more French classics and to be waited on by French staff that are consummate professionals with big smiles

We recently had a baby shower function in their dining room in the back. The great the service from the wait staff was second to none, and the head chef was very helpful and informative on what we should order for the group. The food was delicious also. Highly recommend coming here to eat or for a group of 15 you could hire the private function room. Great location and also parking around the back of the restaurant.

Food was excellent. We ordered the black pudding scotch egg, seafood risotto and steak medalion and the flavours were amazing. We found the mains portions were relatively generous. Place itself isnt the most trendy or hipster but the food easily makes up for it. Went on a Tuesday for lunch so it was quiet but the service was excellent. The lady serving us made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed having a chat with her. Have heard its much more lively in the evenings. Highly recommended.

Food nice ( I had 3 sausages on potato mash, gravy and steamed vegetables). - very nice but a bit expensive. I sat outside and this couple walked past me, the lady staring and both her and the guy were giggling about me behind my back ( this is an eg. of the forum going on behind my back in public - that the Dr Wendell Rosvear is / has been causing me), I didn’t know them from a bar of soap. I looked back at them ( to see if they were looking back at me - sure enough they were). I was nearly going to say something to them, but the Lady Manageress ( must have seen me outside, looking at them) - she asked me if I was alright, do you want to come inside and eat? I said yes I do. She knew about the forum and something was going on ( she should’ve told me what was going on). That’s why she offered me to go inside!!!! I felt very uncomfortable with what went on. They must have been tracking me on my phone all night again. The people and staff are able to report back on me, to this forum- Dr Wendell Rosvear is causing. The lady Manager must have told them ( the other lady staff member’s ) what was going on about me - the sexual harassment by members of the public, towards me. One of the lady waitresses was wiping down a table, then she looked around at me, to see if I was looking at her arse. Bit sick and uncalled for!!!! Ladies must I remind you, I’m gay, leave me alone ok!!!! Then on finishing my meal the other lady waitress was staring at me too, as I was about to pay and leave. Uncalled for and not necessary!!!! I ignored her.

Food was enjoyable and the atmosphere was cosy. It's a busy little restaurant (amazing how all of the food comes from that tiny kitchen) so I recommend a reservation especially on a Saturday. Some minor improvements on service would have meant a five.
