Had a lovely experience at Hogs breathe. They cater for inside and outside dining. Provides disability access and toilet amenities. Served in a timely manner and meals were served in a timely manner and large servings. COVID compliance

Dined at Hogs Breath Wednesday 5 January 2022. We've been there before, and thought we knew what to expect. My dining companion ordered a steak - the Hogs' Prime Rib, their specialty. I ordered a Po' Boy Sandwich, remembering the sandwich I had when in the US years ago. The food arrived nice and quick. The steak was the usual good sized cut, cooked medium rare, as ordered. Looked pretty good! But my Po' Boy Sandwich was a total fail. The roll was stale, the pulled beef was far from fresh and had an off smell about it. (Luckily, there wasn't much on it!) Looked like one of those supermarket rolls in a bag that you toss into the microwave! The fries and gravy were tasty though. When asked "How were your meals?", I gave my honest opinion, and to his credit, the manager agreed that they hadn't met expectations and deleted the charge from the bill. I will probably go back again, but steer clear of that Po'Boy! Stick to the steak is the best advice.

We dined there last night. Steaks were good except my two friends asked for medium but not quite. Veges great but my caesar salad was not. The salad had been made up for a long time so was soft including croutons. Cocktails were excellent. Sad there are no potatoes and sour cream. Would still go back.

We haven't been to HB for a couple of years and were very impressed with the change of menu and food quality. The menu is simpler but still has a great variety of old favourites and new tastes. More vegetarian and vegan options and items other than steak. The service was terrific with a very friendly and pleasant staff. They took great care to accommodate Sunriver who needed dairy free options. Will return again soon.

An amazing experience. I have been to many hogs breathe cafe's and this place is quite good. The atmosphere is very constant with no sore thumbs sticking out. The good was good, not the best steak I've ever gotten from a hogs breathe but nonetheless it is still delicious. The drinks were also quite good.

I've always had a great experience dinning at this branch. Staff have been great with a friendly smile and the food portions as big as they always are, so be aware of the cut you order. Yet to visit when something went wrong. My steak came out juicy and to my liking, with a side of curly chips and Caesar salad, topped with mushrooms. Hogs Breathe is always one of the steak houses I recommend to try out with a group of friends or when casually catching up with someone.

I always love the avocado prime rib steak, very tasty! The creamy mash was also good. The only down sides were this time the menu has changed now you only get one side instead of the usual 2 and claim it is bigger although it did not look like any difference in size to me or any of my families meals. The wait with meals coming out was a bit slow and the restaurant wasnt even that busy. The staff brought our birthday cake out with sparklers and sang happy birthday to my husband which was nice. Just wish they would bring back the 2 sides, it was much better before in my opinion

It's a Friday night and I'm taking my parents and daughters to dinner to celebrate a few important things. Booking a table was easy with just a call. I was asked if it was a celebratory dinner and I explained amongst other things my parents were celebrating 54 years of marriage. When we arrived our table had balloons and a sign. Because we had arranged a cake for later we only ordered main meals. Most of us had prime rib steaks. One of my daughters had a beef and brie burger which she really liked and another daughter had a seafood basket which she said was great. Amongst the steak, we asked for garlic prawns, Aussie (fried egg and bacon), brie (deep fried crumbed brie) and avocado (slice of avocado with Bearnaise sauce. I'm not sure if it's new but I really enjoyed my steak with sweet potato wedges and Caesar salad. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our meals and when we got them everything was correct and cooked to our requests. We were all very satisfied at the end of the meal. I'd happily recommend Hog's Breath Cafe, Aspley.

I love Hogs Breath, I come here every 14th of July for my birthday. Food is always amazing and staff have great customer service. I’m writing this review in Hogs breath on my birthday right now too. I had a birthday party here once too with family and friends and they were great and the bill was sooo expensive in the end hahaha. Always have good memories at Hogs Breath! Definitely recommend! 10/10

Get the rib wings and steak platter special, was told the steak is similar to a lite cut but.. when it came it’s like your regular size steak slice in half and shrink. It’s was dry and had no sauce for it. The ribs was delicious thou, says half a rack but only 3 ribs (maybe that’s half a rack?) and the wings was not overcook so it was nice. Took them forever to serve the kid their ice cream thou. We had to ask twice for it to come.. there’s like 4-5 staff around but you can hardly get one attention, they gather around and chat and the only one that was working (sweeping floors) was pretty much the one who realize we need something. Food was average, service is a little poor. Would I come again? Probably not for awhile because overall it’s not really worth it.

Absolutely LOVED our meal here tonight! The steak sliced like butter, was cooked to perfection and let’s be honest you can never go past Hogs Breath curly fries!!! Our server (Cody) was only 2 weeks new to the company but you would never know it! He was awesome. The rest of the staff were just as great. I follow the failsafe diet which is so restrictive it is extremely difficult to eat out. I hadn't done so in 10 months. But I spoke to John and discovered he would accommodate all of my needs - even being willing to cook meat I supplied, serving veggies I could eat. He sent me the product spec sheet on the oil being used as well. As long as a couple of other paying guests were part of the booking, he was able to so it all. The kitchen staff were on top of our needs from the moment we arrived. Just amazing service!!! And the food was outstanding! Plus the COVID contact tracing information was kept private too - not a book on the counter with everyone's details available for everyone else to see. Overall an amazing experience. This place used to be great, but every year seems they just get worse & worse. Especially the staff. They seem to be just going through the motions & except for the red haired manager, none seem interested in taking your order if it's not straight away or checking on if you need any additional drinks. And the meals have gone downhill. Several times now they have ran out of the slow cooked steaks & the premade sauces are so bad compared to years ago when they made them in house. I keep trying them every 6 months or so hoping they'd be back to the way they used to be, but always leave disappointed.

Very impressed with Hogs at Aspley. On 2 January we had my 60th birthday celebration there and the food and service were great. We had two waiters serving two tables of 19 and everyone was happy with their meals - the only thing some of the steak meals had no sauce, whether we had to ask for it specifically. We had three waiters for our table two of which brought out the wrong food or forgot requests for extras, the other appeared to be the manager who appeared to be chasing the rest of the staff to be on task. Still better than the Gold Coast by far.

Staff were friendly, food tasted great, when we were there it was very quiet with hardly any diners, so we didn't have to wait long for our meals. The staff sing happy birthday to birthday diner, but you don't get a birthday sundae any more, no birthday cake is supplied so you need to bring your own. The Hog's Breath cocktail tasted great, could drink them all night, really recommend you try it. Menu is a little bit expensive.

When we arrived we were met by a staff member who wasn't very friendly and quickly informed us the kitchen stopped cooking at 8.30 and they closed at 9pm. Good food, a tad expensive. Free peanuts available, and you are encouraged to throw the shells on the floor. Well themed, the table service keeps the theme going with a cowgirl or boy giving their best accent and lingo. I found the ribs flavor to be a little underwhelming, but plenty of meat on them. This experience was the worst, I took my family for a birthday dinner for my son birthday, we all ordrered and gave instructions on how we all liked our steak. The food arrived and my wife's and my steak were cooked very rare when my wife asked for well done and I asked for med to well hoping for a very light pink colour, when asked to be redone the result again was very poor. For the price that I paid $188.00 plus I realy did expect a better result, they have let my family down.

This was our first time to Higs Breath in Aspley, we actually found the service and the meal very good, better than average and what we had previously experienced. We all had the lunch specials at $9.90 and found them enjoyable.

We dont usually write reviews but we definitely want to praise & say a huge thank you to our awesome waitress TJ she was energetic polite and easy going always had a smile & made sure my husband & i were ok...after a stuff up at Outback Steakhouse Aspley earlier in the night that resulted in us leaving there altogether because apparently making reservations 6 days prior means you still have 2 wait 30-40mins for your table even if you arrived 15mins early (dont see the point in making reservations if you still have to wait with people who hadnt ), we called Hogs Breathe Aspley and within seconds of walking in TJ had our table ready to go and made us forget about our earlier ordeal, made us feel welcomed & as comfortable as possible we didn't have to wait long for the drinks/food which was amazing especially the prawns we must have ordered 20 or so! as always you guys were awesome thank you so much for turning our night that started off bad into a great one! Definitely recommend!

This place can be a bit hit 'n' miss .. it's a piss-off when you call ahead to make sure they've still got slow cooked prime rib & 10 mintues later, it's sold out... Is it really available when we call or is it a ploy to get us here? This has happened on 3 seperate occasions, so Hoggies will definitely be a miss for us from now on!

My son and I went for the pork ribs as we like Hogs ribs and have eaten at many stores , the waitress was a little vague , we ordered etc , then the same waitress arrives with our pineapple juice , she spills around 3 teaspoons of it as she places it on the table with a few drops landing on my hand , she says “ oops sorry guys and walks off , now I was waiting for her return with a cloth however that did not happen , then another waitress arrives with our ribs , she was pleasant and respectful , then as we enter into our ribs my son says the carrots a little raw , then I notice the ribs are a little cold , as we are getting to the ends of the large rib we cut in half to share it is “ fridge “ cold , as they pre cook and reheat on the grill i will suggest its time on the plate not enough , then the young man who was the manager comes over to address the cold ribs , he come across as a little ready to argue so I simply let him decide upon what to do , he offered $15 off the total after I mentioned the pine apple juice delivery , I then said only $15 and he said ok make it $20 as we ate most of it he says , so given these points I have highlighted I give them only 2 stars and would suggest a tad of caution when choosing this particular store
