Great riverside location with underground parking (bonus). Had a great table with a river view whilst still being inside! Menu is diverse, everything cooked to perfection and DELICIOUS! Staff were customer focused, friendly and attentive without being annoying. Worth the 5* however you’ll be much lighter in the pocket, it is pricey but what can you expect given the location and menu? Will definitely return.

Dined here for Valentine's Day dinner on Monday. A set menu at $75 each - initially thought it pricey but what the heck eh? The food and ambience far outweighed any further considerations of it being too pricey. Lovely food and great service. We will definitely be back.

Overall, I had an okay experience here, nice location and vibe. I felt the antipasto platter could have had a bit more to it, there was so much meat to get through for a small amount of bread, could use an addition of cheese and/or a nice dip.. especially for the price point. Prawn pizza was nice enough. Again, it could have had a bit more to it or at least more prawns for the price.

Being near the jetty makes this venue very accessible and they also have underground parking for patrons. I really like the ambiance, enjoyed the food and wine also. We had a banquet, however, everyone felt it wasn’t enough or valued for what we paid. But I’ll come back to try other dishes.

Recently had a long awaited catch up with some friends and iL Molo did not disappoint. Everything was done with Covid safety in mind, we had a great table outside with a beautiful cool breeze blowing and both the food and service were absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had a child free evening and spontaneously decided to try iL Molo. It was a wonderful experience! We were seated promptly even without a booking and the kitchen remained open a little later to accomodate us. The food was delicious and the service fantastic. The location is wonderful with river city views. The perfect place for a nice romantic walk along the river after. I’m looking forward to visiting this location again soon.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, food and location. I recently held my 40th birthday lunch here and was thoroughly impressed. We had 17 people which was easily accommodated by the restaurants spacious and open main dining area. The food was delicious and the very attentive staff ensured anyone who needed a refill was well looked after.

It is hard to find a good Italian eatery, but this was a good find. My girlfriends had the Gamberi Pizza & said it was nice flavours, but not much topping. It might be something I have to try myself to comment. Highly recommend the Linguine.

A few mates and I caught up there Friday night for what we had been told was a great place to eat. Of the 5 of us, only one actually enjoyed his meal. Overall not what we had thought and none of us would now bother going back. Probs not worth three stars for the meals but service gave it that extra star. I booked a table for apertivo, and was allocated a strict 1.5 hours at the venue. I ordered a Negroni, (see pictured) and a salumi platter. The platter comprised of mixed olives, prosciutto, salami, and rocket. While the flavours were fair, I was disappointed that the bread given was not Italian bread (it seemed to be a white rye bread). Nor was there any olive oil on the side to dress the bread. Furthermore, this platter took at least 20 minutes to be served even though the restaurant was at a negligible capacity. I would prefer this restaurant to really dial on traditional Italian presentation, not Australian Cafe style presentation. For example, the prosciutto was presented in rolled clump, rather than laid flat. And the bread might be warmed first. Salami could be served uncut, and the diners can slice off from a given length.

Found the food lovely and only complaint was the size of the dish of crumbed olives that we received for the price. $12 for 4 olives seemed a bit expensive. We have had these type of olives at another restaurant for the exact same price and get at least double the amount.

Booking online is easy and efficient, with a text confirmation prior to arrival at iL Molo. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. The pizzas rival any I had in Italy. River views are a bonus for this well located restaurant, near the City Kat terminal. Undercover parking in this busy district certainly is a plus. Overall, a really pleasant place to dine.

We are Italian and this is Italian food, never less to say… had calamari and raw fish (crudo) simply amazingly crunchy and the raw king fish was accompanied by some real Italian set up … toasted grapefruit, fennel & pinoli… plus a little olive oil & 🍋 !! Set just above the water line at the end of Oxford Street (or the beginning technically), in Bulimba, is the wonderful iL MOLO Italian Kitchen & Bar. Thanks to our friends who are locals, we headed here for lunch, and were so pleased with the service, food and general location. The place is bustling with lots of customers on a warm Sunday afternoon, and we are happy to secure a table outside. Thanks to our lovely young hostess, she extends the sunshade awning to provide a little more cover from the sun. We decide to share starters and opt for an antipasti board, 2 serves of arancini (pumpkins, sage & goats cheese), crispy calamari with rocket and aioli, polenta fries with parmesan, spicy tomato sugo, and broccolini with whipped goats cheese & almonds. This left room for desserts, which was basically 4 affogatos and a shared bombolone - warm doughnuts, chocolate ganache & orange jelly. Keeping it short and sweet, the tapas were all very tasty & well presented, and the desserts were delicious, although perhaps the doughnuts weren’t quite the best we’ve had. Drink choices were fine, and wine by the glass is available at 150/250ml options. Overall, a solid 4 or 4.5 out of 5.

Il Molo has always been a top spot for me to go to for a treat for myself or with friends as I have always enjoyed their spritz and gnocchi. So recently I decided to celebrate my birthday here and it was nothing short of amazing! The food options and portions were perfect for a big group. The manager, Jess, kept me up to date and answered any questions I had leading up to the date and the service was 10/10. Highly recommend for afternoon aperitivo or group functions!

If you're a Brissie tourist jump on the River Cat to see the city from the water, and get off at Bulimba and the restaurant is just off the ferry wharf. We can only rate it 5 stars

A Sunday lunch was the occasion and iL Molo proved an excellent choice by my wife. Calamari and Deep Fried Olives for entree were divine and I am not an olive lover. Gnocchi and Chicken for mains and both were exceptional and paired with an NZ Pinot Noir matched perfectly. Full of flavour and just the right quantity. A beautiful tasting Panna Cotta each was the perfect way to finish off a great lunch date.

I've been here twice for lunch experiences. The menu is uncomplicated (a page) and very engaging. Not too heavy on the Vegetarian options, but I'd be willing to say the staff would make accommodations. The food is prepared as would be expected in a great bistro in Italy. The ingredients are fresh and the staff care. I highly recommend giving iL Molo a shot if you're in the area. The view's not too shabby either.

Nice venue in a nice area. Did the bottomless brunch. Food was good but you don't get much of the main meal - small portion size. The fruit platter starter was good too but you didn't get much p/p (there was 6 of us). At the start, they were pretty good at bringing the drinks out but in the last 30-45 minutes, it took a long time to get drinks. We all started noticing that even tables that ordered after us would get their drinks and we were seemingly ignored. This was quite frustrating as we had paid for a bottomless brunch and hadn't really been given much food. Seemed like there was a bit of favouritism going on. If the bottomless brunch is a new service, I am sure this will get better with time...

Had a lovely meal here. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for the portions. There are a few vegetarian options here. The staff were friendly and quite attentive. The layout is great. There is outside dining (with heaters in winter) where you are sitting nearby the water. Inside is well designed - the kitchen is high set overlooking the bar and dining room below. The decor is modern, but unfortunately too many hard materials (mirrored walls, concrete floor and ceiling) making it echo inside. Add the in house music, and it makes conversation a bit difficult. The food was too good for a non return, but perhaps for outside dining.

The service given to us by our attendant - (I didn’t catch her name but she was from the Canary Islands) - was outstanding and she went over and above to ensure we had everything we needed. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant buzzing with customers, so they must be doing something right. The food however is below par for a Brisbane Italian restaurant - particularly at this price point. Duck Ragu we didn't eat. It tasted like traditional beef gravy with seperated duck added. Was really not good. The other pasta was passable but not great. And definitely not close to good for +$35. Pizza was slightly undercooked. It seemed like their oven was under heated perhaps?

Excellent service and an idyllic location, the food however was hit and miss. After a delicious entree of Mooloolaba prawns we were served cold porchetta and half cooked pizza. The manager on duty was polite and handled the situation well but I doubt we will return.

Went here for a birthday dinner for 4 last week. Read the reviews first so made sure that we were seated quickly and signalled the waitress (no she was not a genderless waitstaff!) If we wanted something. The staff were excellent, the owner visited our table a number of times too. So, service and staff - 5. Food? The Duck ragu, pork belly shoestring fries broccolini and gluten free gnocchi were all top class, also a 5. The cannoli that 3 of us had for dessert, the filling was nice, a bit rich but that’s to be expected but the outer pastry was just a tad too hard, crunchy and perhaps a bit overcooked. 4 for the cannoli but overall well worth a 5 overall. I recommend and would happily return.

Wife and I came here for dinner a year or so ago and had some sensational pizza. Was there again last night and a very different experience unfortunately. The pizza dough was average at best. The calamari was overcooked and extremely thin - more crumb than seafood. I had the Cotoletta which was very good, but cost $28 without any sides at all. Service was friendly but slow. Style over substance is the best way to describe our experience unfortunately. Must better options in the area and won't be back in a hurry.

The waitress was so on the ball in knowing when to come and see how we were doing at just the right time. My only complaint is that I just can't pop in like I used to :( but totally understandable in the current climate. We have eaten at Il Molo many times over the years including when it was The Jetty. I have to say we always loved it when it was The Jetty, but not so much these days. I thought it was the same chef and managers, so don’t know why that would be. It looks great and is the best restaurant location in Bulimba, so we tend to go there with friends when that’s what we’re looking for. However, it’s been a few years now and the menu could do with a change. I keep trying different things but there’s nothing yet that I’d rave about or recommend. Food is always nice, but nothing special and that is a shame considering the location. Wines are very good and bar is well stocked. It was the service though that really disappointed on our last lunch experience with friends on the weekend. The waitresses, although pleasant, seemed distracted, bringing us something we didn’t order, and we had to ask for serviettes and cutlery when our food was served. We’re really glad Il Molo reopened after the lockdown and we make sure to patronise it because we want it to stay. We just want to see it lift it’s game a little!

Put 3 stars as can go either way, staff are good, food is not bad but sometimes it does not go well. We wanted to create a meal that was for a vegetarian by removing an item and replacing ( bacon for mushrooms) it with another. They said the menu wasn’t flexible so one person had sit there while we ate and it was awkward. Other times all good but because there is no flexibility we haven’t been back.

The location of this restaurant is great, its so convenient if you are catching the ferry, and it’s a nice place to sit and watch the people go by and watch the city lights. There was 6 people in our party and, it was a mixed response on the food. 2 people really enjoyed their dinner, they had the market fish, but the rest of us found our meals to be bland and nothing special, bit of a shame.

We LOVE this venue! Set right by the river without the crazy rush, it’s such a lovely atmosphere watching the ferry’s roll in and taking in the glistening city lights. My favourite cafe dining spot due to its location at end of Oxford Street Bulimba overlooking the river and ferry stop. The decor is modern and chic with a delicious menu. Previously known as "the jetty" I am unsure of the name name change. We enjoyed a breakfast of the most sensational pancakes and seared orange slices. Perhaps they were mandarin....while enjoying the stream of morning dog walkers and ferry passengers . Love it. Service can be slow as it can be very busy at times but they try very hard.

Just fantastic! Recently used the Deck area for an 80th Birthday celebration inc. 20 guests of all ages. Had excellent service from Renee with the booking and all my associated annoying questions in the lead-up then on the day Grace, Louisa and the crew were absolutely amazing helping us with anything we requested from sun awning adjustment to supplying & lighting candles on the cake we supplied. The Canapes were better than expected and all guests (some of them old-skool foodies!) were raving about how fresh & tasty everything was... definitely no mass-produced stuff and you could tell it was all carefully prepared by someone with a true passion for food. I can't recommend Il Molo and the team enough for an absolutely hassle-free, enjoyable and value-filled event. Couldn't be happier and I look forward to booking other events there in the future. At no time were we left waiting for service; the food was to die for (stuffed Sicilian green olives with goats cheese, fish of the day which was barramundi and gnocchi with gorgonzola, asparagus and hazelnut sauce and also a fantastic rocket salad).
