FOOD & DRINK My wife and I dined on a Monday night, when pizzas are $17, although it’s worth noting that this deal doesn’t apply to all pizzas: Those that are excluded from the deal are marked with an asterisk on the table menu, although you can’t see that online, and it didn’t make sense to me why some pizzas were excluded. In any event, we chose two qualifying pizzas; the "funghi porcini" for me and the "capricciosa" with extra anchovies for my wife. Full price for the fungi is 25, and for the capricciosa is 27, so I guess we saved 18 pesos. The funghi, as its name suggests, features porcini mushrooms, with mozzarella and fontina cheese and sage. The “capricciosa”, has mushrooms, with artichokes, tomato, ham and olives. Both pizzas were delicious, with thin, crispy bases, lashings of tasty cheese and topped with premium grade, high quality, fresh ingredients. They were made with love, care and attention to detail, and nicely presented to the table on large, stylish white plates. Serving sizes were generous. We both enjoyed our meals, so thanks to the hardworking pizza chefs. AMBIENCE Despite it being a Mon night, which is usually a quiet night in the restaurant trade, there was still a fair turnout, giving the place a lively and fun vibe. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit indoors and were allocated a cozy table at the window, looking out onto Latrobe Street. The interior has been tastefully decked out in a low key style with soft mood lighting, brown wooden tables and white chairs and brown floor tiles. That all works well to create a relaxed, casual and laid back ambience, where you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in. Tables are well spaced out, with good acoustics and we had no problem conversing. It’s a fairly dark venue though, which made reading the menu a bit of a struggle. SERVICE We were warmly welcomed to the restaurant by a friendly lady, whom I took to be the maître d. Our orders were promptly taken and drinks came out pretty quickly. Our pizzas took about 20-25 minutes to make an appearance, but given the comfy and homely atmosphere, and the nice view from our table, we didn’t mind waiting, especially since our pizzas were freshly prepared and arrived piping hot, straight from the ovens. COST Until recently, the Sun-Tuesday deal was for $15 pizzas, (you can still see this on the photo of the blackboard if you scroll to the bottom of their website) now they’re $17, which just proves my point that we’re heading towards “Weimar Republic'' levels of hyperinflation and neither our govt nor the Res Bank are willing to do anything about it. But still, our bill was a reasonable $51 for a beer, a cold drink and two pizzas, one with extra anchovies. That represents solid value for money, when a humble cup of coffee these days can set you back $5. TOILETS The toilets are just outside the restaurant. They’re clean, well provisioned and easy to find, with separate male and female facilities. There are also additional toilets downstairs, just outside the Woolworths. PARKING I.P. is located in the rather tired looking, little “Paddington Central Shopping Centre”, which is anchored by a well stocked Woolies Supermarket. The centre has its own car park on the ground floor, where there is unlimited free parking. It can get quite busy though, but there’s also ample street parking in any of the nearby side streets that lead off Latrobe Terrace. SUMMARY Tony, the owner is a competent and professional restaurateur and under his guidance the place hums like a well oiled machine. He is an attentive and amiable host, who makes his guests feel welcome and appreciated. The food is delicious, and the ambience is homely, with a laid back and relaxed vibe. Service is friendly and attentive. Add to that clean toilets and easy parking, and you have all the ingredients for a pleasant night out with friends or family.

Being Mediterranean ,and from Melbourne, I’m pretty fussy with food and know a thing or two about great Italian cuisine. ll Posto in Paddington Brisbane however absolutely surpassed all my expectations. From the perfectly cooked calamari which was exactly as it should be. Soft and tender inside with a touch of crispness outside along with the delicately prepared fish dish in a light tasty broth…delicious and healthy. The pizza was amazing too…I thought I was in Rome! The food there is one of those places you can’t help trying everybody else’s dishes! I give Chef Kathrine an 11 for her superb Italian culinary cooking skills…excellent job! This place has a great vibe and an absolute must visit for Brisbane. Can’t wait to go back there when I'm next in town...thanks guys!

We love dining at the Il Posto Restaurant in Paddington which we have always found to have fabulous authentic Italian food and so delicious. We also love the location which is easy to get to, has plenty of free parking in the complex or bus stops in the street; you can dine inside or still undercover outside the restaurant and has great street views. Whenever we have gone, we have always found it has a good vibe, is busy and the staff friendly and helpful. Last Friday night we had a table made up of 6 family members who love catching up and having a good laugh. I love trying out different foods and drinks that I normally don't have at home and 4 of us chose one of the main dish specials which was the Grilled Octopus. We all absolutely loved it, it was so so delicious, we loved the lightly char grilled taste, it added flavour and was cooked to perfection - soft and tender which is how it should be. So, thank you to the head chef if you were also the decision maker adding this to your menu, it is something new, different and delicious.

Tony has always been a fabulous host, add in Catherine in the kitchen and it makes for a formidable duo and a fabulous dining experience. Casual atmosphere, but not too casual, just how we love it! A new spring menu and always different daily specials. House cured ocean trout starter was super fresh and tasty as was the polpetta entree special. Stuffed braised squid was a stand out for mains and the pizzas are consistently good. We will be back soon!

I was brought here by a friend. At entry, we were given reasonably fast a table for two. Customer service was average. I ordered a pizza and a spaghetti bolognese. Thr pizza was exceptionally delicious but the spaghetti was flat and reasonably below average. In comparison to other places I tried, I will give them 3 stars. I may come back again for one more time to confirm, or otherwise, my reflection on this experience.

The staff were so friendly, very smiley. They allowed us to be seated with no reservations very late and it was last minute dinner decision. The atmosphere and ambience of Il Posto was very nice and romantic. They also have deals throughout the week. The pasta was good, creamy with quality ingredients, the garlic bread was also good. The oven baked pizza was nice, however floppy and wet, needed to be eaten with cutlery instead of your hands. Drinks were loaded with alcohol and the bartender was very knowledgable. Overall great italian experience.

Il Posto is my 'go to' for catch ups with friends and meetings with colleagues. The pizza is second to none and the pasta menu is great, the duck ragu pappardelle being one of my repeat orders. The staff are always very friendly and efficient. They are knowledgeable with wine matching and recommendations. The manager Kane in particular is very personable and pleasant.

As a frequent customer of Il Posto I can't say how much my husband and I have been enjoying the new menu. The fish constantly delights us and the steak is my husbands new favourite in Brisbane. The 5 star review is ONLY because of how exceptional the food has been. Unfortunately the wait staff constantly dissapoint, led by the owner they are disorganised and dysfunctional at best with the exception of the manager, he is always polite and friendly. Unfortunately the rest of the staff at the front constantly make mistakes with my orders, Sometimes I wait 30 min for my mains to be called away. So dissapointing when we do love the food.

Senfreakingsationallllll! I came here with my financè last Saturday. We shared the carpaccio of the day (beautiful!) And for mains I had the whole Rainbow trout and he had the preserved lemon risotto! A friend recommended that I dine at Il Posto. I wasn’t at all sure what to expect, and I recently decided to check it out. It was for me, hands down, one of the best dining experiences of the year. The location is ideal, in a beautiful spot in Paddington with multiple parking options nearby. Chef Catherine Stratton is Il Posto’s ace card. The three courses she served were exceptional and passion and enthusiasm she has for what she does was a treat to experience. Below I have listed what I ordered paired with the house Chianti, which was smooth, typical of the style, and paired beautifully with the food. Entre: Kingfish cappacio with grapefruit, raddicchio and tuna aoli, Focaccia and white anchovies Main: Eye Fillet, medium rare, celeriac puree, caramelized carrots Lamb shank with braised root vegetables and lentil ragu Smooth skin Dory, beetroot puree, fennel, Kipflers and almond current butter; Squid Ink tonnarelli pasta with sand crab, tomato, chilli and lemon pan grattato; Buffalo Mozzarella filled ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffle cream sauce Sides Winter greens Rustic beetroot Salad Desserts Buffalo ricotta and raspberry filed cannoli with pistachios, white chocolate and mind Crème Brulee (to die for) I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Food is simply amazing. There are two new chefs that are making a 360° improvement to the food and the menu on this place. I had the kingfish carpaccio and the lamb ragu gnocchis last night and i can say is the most delicious food I have tried in Brisbane. Carpaccio is stunning, how they mix the flavours and reminded me to the authentic ceviche i tried in Peru years ago. The gnocchis are handmade, soft, melts in your mouth with the most tasty lamb ragu sauce i have ever tried. You can feel the love and passion the chefs have for their job in your food, and this is priceless ♥️

Came here twice and we always get the best table outside. The staff here are very friendly and take their time to explain their specialties of the day. Having been past this place countless times in recent years, I finally found myself actually going in for the first time last night. I went with a group of ten people for a birthday dinner, on a reasonably busy night. Staff were attentive and took our orders quickly, pointing out the day's specials and bringing drinks quickly. The food however, took absolutely forever to come out. While we had said 'bring everything when it's ready' as opposed to all at once (no way that was going to work with ten people), it still took an entirely too long time to bring out some of the pizzas - with the amount of takeaway orders we watched go out I'm not surprised. The food that wasn't pizza left something a lot to be desired, to say the least. Both the fish and pasta special were really quite basic - very small, very simple. To be perfectly honest, I was expecting a lot more (not so much in size, but definitely in quality) for the price charged. The pizza was ok, but again, for the price paid I would rather hit up a number of other pizza joints in Brisbane. All in all, not terrible, but not really good either. I wouldn't book here again, but I wouldn't refuse to come if someone else did.

We love this place - so happy it has re-opened after lock-down. It has become a family favourite. The owner is so personable and staff to keen to serve. Food is excellent - but it is the sense that they want to really look after you that makes this a stand-out destination.

My partner and I love this place and we’ve been there around four times. Both their pastas and pizzas are really tasty, and their customer service is excellent. It can get busy and you might have to wait, so don’t go when you’re too hungry, but the staff is very attentive and they bring both the drinks and appetizers promptly.

This place is superb. The food is of the highest quality and service is first rate. It is also surprisingly kid friendly - they don't have a kids area or toys or anything, however it is difficult for even fast hyperactive kids to get anywhere dangerous and the staff are so welcoming and lovely that you do not feel judged even with kids behaving terribly. The food is so beautifully prepared that you want to keep going back to try everything else on the menu.

We do a boys night here for pizza every couple of months or so. Mondays and Tuesdays are half price pizza and the place packs out so make sure you book. Pizzas are the thin Italian style and are just superb. The big booth inside can get warm in summer though so keep this in mind if you are booking the booth. We do generally because it's a great space but summertime can be a bit warm.

We ordered a couple of pizzas on the cheap pizza night turns out one of them was exempt from the deal. Wait staff were pretty rude about it when I brought it up when paying for the bill. Apparently we were told when we were given the menus (I'll add here that we were not told) Anyways it was a disappointing end to what should have been a nice first evening away from our 4 month old baby.

What a wonderful time in brisbane! Fantastic pasta & pizza! Especially gnocchi alla sorrentina, It had real nature flavours and it was very healthy food. Also the absolutely taste was very good. I really want to know who cooks this perpect food. I'm sure that there are awesome familys in the kichen !

Food was good, simply the best pizza base since I had been to, actually, Italy. Service is nice, prices are not bottom feeder cheap but than again, you get something good. Little pitty is the outside, the shopping centre looks deserted and feels like remnants of a mad Max movie, but that cant be blamed on the restaurant. Definately something to go back to.

Amazing food. I've been twice now and have tried the pork pasta and the duck/mushroom pasta and both blew me away. Staff were attentive and entertaining. Looking forward to going back again and sampling more of the menu.
