We went there for Saturday lunch. The service is pretty quick and attentive. We opt for the calamari for the entrée which have a nice squid ink aioli. Then for main we have the fungi and cheese pizza and snapper with lobster sauce. I would to have a crispy skin fish but because the vegetables are put on top of the fish, it became soggy. Overall, the food are great, the services are excellent, and the venue is modern casual.

The service was good at the Italian Street Kitchen considering we had a large table of adults and children to cater for. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco wine which came out not chilled! It was replaced with the only cold bottle that they had. Strange to not have cold wine in stock. 3 of us had the Porchetta (pork belly) and our comments were all the same. It was very tender however way too rich in flavour. There was not enough apple and fennel puree to compliment the dish. It also lacked colour. A small amount of green veg beside it would have enhanced the overall flavour and presentation of the dish. The Croquettes were delicious!

Visited on a quiet Monday afternoon, being the only ones seated in the restaurant. Great customer service right from stepping inside! Ordered at the counter a large garlic prawns spaghetti, regular gnocchi and beef meatballs as an entree. For the price, the serving sizes of the meals were accurate - I was definitely satisfied with a ‘regular’ serve. Meatballs were on the pricier side for a few bites, but oh my god they were good and would definitely order a larger size if I could. Gnocchi was simple but tasted delicious, soft and authentic. Spaghetti didn’t have a strong flavour, so wasn’t a winner in our eyes. Overall I really enjoyed this place! Don’t be fooled by the name ‘street kitchen’ it’s casual dining but the quality and price reflects that of any Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Would definitely visit again!

Situated in the Gasworks precinct, this restaurant offers a wide selection of Italian food. I came with a group of friends and decided to try only the pizza selection as they marketed themselves as providing authentic Italian-styled woodfire pizza. Of course there is an argument of whether an authentic Italian restaurant would sell Hawaiian pizza but at least one of the friends I came with enjoyed pineapple with their pizza. Nevertheless, the pizza was of generous portions and was delish. The restaurant also offers complimentary self-serving sparkling water, which is quite refreshing. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean. Good ambience and the price was standard for wood-fired pizza. I haven't tried the pasta selection and will come back to try it in the next visit. Ps. Keep an eye out for promotions on The Fork and other food apps!

I had lunch with friends. All food was just simple in distinctive. I cannot say delicious. They forget mozzarella cheese on my pizza and pasta was large size but looks just small and I expected nice Arancini but taste like a frozen product .

Possibly the best food and service I’ve ever seen. The taste and quality was impeccable with great portions. The staff were extremely professional and very friendly.The free sparkling water was also a pleasant surprise. Keep up the solid work guys, we will certainly be coming back, again and again.

5 stars for the previous menu/kitchen. ISK used to be my absolute favourite, going almost every week for 2 years. Unfortunately since the new menu change a few months ago, I've just been consistently disappointed. The quality of pizzas in particular, has dropped dramatically. I can't tell if it's actually smaller or just looks smaller with the unconventional shape, but doesn't taste as good either. Their fresh pasta used to be amazing but now seems to be overcooked often. While I understand that prices have to go up and menus change, I've not had good experiences since those changes.

Had a pizza party at a friend's place, ordering Italian Street Kitchen in Newstead via Uber Eats. We had: * buffalo margherita - tomato, buffalo mozzarella, parmesan & basil * pizza funghi - mozzarella, gorgonzola, mushrooms, parsley * diavola - tomato, mozzarella, Calabrese spicy salami, Spanish onion, mushrooms & basil * ham and pineapple - tomato, mozzarella, pineapple, smoked ham & oregano * Bolognese arancini - served with parmesan * golden calamari - served with garlic aioli The bill came out to $130 and each pizza seemed to be about $5+ more than the in-store pricing. Delivery took about 40 minutes and of course we missed out on that just out of the oven crispness of the pizza bases. Nevertheless the flavours were still good and in the end I think my favourite is the ham and pineapple. This was mainly for the kids though actually the most expensive of the 4. I loved the burst of sweetness from the still juicy pineapple, contrasted with the savouriness from the ham. Simple pleasures, or just a big kid at heart?

I love Italian Street Kitchen as it’s like to be in a pizzeria in my town of origin. Great service, fast, extremely efficient and professional. Always really kind and focused on details. Pizza is good and for the right price. The location is also very convenient, perfect if you have children, always great fun to play in the old gasometer before or after pizza... or both. The restaurant has plenty of high chairs and a nice kids menu. The venue has an appealing design and it’s great to see the chefs cooking on the other side of the glass and to watch the big wood fired pizza oven.

Fresh and fast! I had a very enjoyable dinner here. The pizza was delicious, the gnocci bolognese was tasty, and the zucchini and rocket salad was freshly made, generous and the perfect accompaniment. This is a relaxed casual place with indoor and outdoor dining.

This place was amazing! Atmosphere - 5/5 We came on a friday night and it was bustling with positive energy, the docor was beautiful, and the kitchen is open so you can see them cooking your food. Service - 5/5 We waited about 2 min for a seat to become available and the waiters and waitresses were polite and promt with our needs and diatary requirements. Wait time - 5/5 Everything came out fast. We had our food in a about 15 minutes. Food - 5/5 I had a vegan, gluten free pasta and it was flavourful and nice. My partner had the pizza and he said it was nice and the dough was great, bonus was you got to cut the pizza with scissors :'). Facilities - 5/5 Get it yourself water and soda water, a sink to wash and dry your hands, and condiments/oils/salt and pepper were available. Overall we were very impressed. NOTE: we found the Garlic and herb pizza fairly salty, but we like salt. If you dont, I'd ask for less.

Fast service by friendly team, who are attentive and warm. Pizza dough is the perfect thickness. Not too thin and not too thick. Their fermenting process makes the flavour taste almost wholemeal-ish *italian kiss. Everything is simple, executed to be full of flavour! Zucchini salad with mint is a nice refresher in between courses of carbs. Pumpkin arancini exteriors are crisp, insides-sweet, cheesy and satisfying. Special mention to their calamari, so tender and perfectly seasoned. Meatballs are moist and tasty. Been twice and will be back to try everything at least once! Italian Street Kitchen is a great place to get that Italian holiday feel. The food is proper Italian and the cocktails are fabulous especially the Aperol Spritz. Gorgeous setting to sit and relax outside and enjoy the weather and the people walking by. The staff are very friendly and a joy to chat to. My new favourite place to go and chill.

I love this place. It is a casual eating experience but a step above many local restaurants. I've always enjoyed their food and their prices I think are amazing. Proper restaurant food at mastique prices. It truly is my favorite local restaurant especially in this price range. Suitable for a dinner for two but also great for families with kids. We have enjoyed ISK for years - our favourite place to catch up with friends frequently and authentic "Italian Street Kitchen" food and prices. Casual, inexpensive, relaxed and so reminiscent of cafes the length of Italy. We are very sad to see it revamped as more upmarket, tablecloths, no more serve yourself sparkling water, price hikes of around 25% on some items, mains up to $80. We understand that businesses exist only to make a profit, but we are not at all sure that this revamp will achieve the aim of increasing profits. We are missing the "local cafe feel" already.

We were in a group of 8 and it was a bit hit and miss. My pasta meal was good, but I was not offered any parmesan cheese. 2 in our party had Carbonara that was so under-cooked it was inedible. Waitresses had trouble with the drinks order and some of the food order - seemed to struggle a bit with the process. Will probably go back. BTW, only a 2hr parking limit so how do you kick back and enjoy a big night; its a rushed experience.

Wasn't my first visit to ISK, but it was for the rest of my family when we visited today. I have enjoyed a lot of good food here before but was beyond impressed by the quality and service today. It is no small feat getting out 8 different mains and sides let alone all at the same time. And they managed to cater for all our dietary requirements too. An authentic Italian restaurant that produces delicious pasta; lots of it! Had dinner here on a Tuesday night and had no trouble finding a table and getting my meal quickly. The gnocchi ragu I ordered was filled with flavour and I was left almost unable to finish my meal with only the standard portion. The Italian staff were all very friendly and enjoyable to talk to, and the modern vibe in the place invites you to sit back and relax for a time after your meal. Call me biased (because I love pasta), but I would happily come back here.

The food is very authentic and super fresh, the quality is excellent but the customer service is the ingredient that makes the visit absolutely amazing! The owner is always here making sure the service is excellent and he always makes the experience 11/10! We recommend this restaurant 100%. Their weekly deals are amazing but their normal prices are very affordable and reasonable for the amazing food you get!

Food is decent and well priced and the staff are friendly. However, if you make a reservation I would suggest asking to be seated inside. We were seated outside in what felt like a wind tunnel and it was freezing cold. A couple of space heaters could easily fix this problem :) + salt and pepper on the tables would be nice, too!

Our fave local pizza joint! Have only tried their pizzas which have authentic bases, good quality toppings, generous serving sizes and very reasonable prices! We usually order takeaway (Deliveroo), however we did dine in on one occasion, where we were given clunky kitchen scissors to cut our pizzas, which was a bit random.... BUT it didn’t ruin our overall great experience. On another occasion we also bought several pizzas for dinner with friends (including some fussy eaters), and everyone was raving about the pizzas, so this is a well balanced review. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best traditional Italian restaurants that you can find in Brisbane! Their recipes are inspired from the 'Roman' cuisine. The staff is always bring and welcoming. This place was excellent I have to say! So we went there just over a month ago on a Saturday night at around 6-7pm. Even though it was very busy, we secured a table almost immediately as walk-ins. It was our first time there with some friends and we were all quite impressed with the food, prices and the atmosphere. We had a couple of pasta and pizza dishes and all agreed that the food was fresh and delicious. All came out very quickly too! This restaurant appears to be slightly cheaper than your average place in that area, which is great! Value for money indeed. You place your order at the counter, so ‘table service’ is minimal, but I don’t think that is an issue in this case. We didn’t deal withy the wait staff much, so I can’t comment on their etiquette too much, but they were reasonable and polite enough. Will definitely be going back!

I meet friends here for dinner on a Friday night. We got in reasonably early which was good as it got quite busy. My friend and I both ordered pastas and our other friend ordered a pizza. I have to say my friend and I were pretty disappointed with our pastas. The portions were small and literally looked like the stuff you get out of a packet from the supermarket with a bit of sauce and cheese thrown on it. My friends pizza on the other hand was a decent size and was quite nice. I would come back to this place to give the pizzas a try but definitely not worth the trip for pastas. Great Italian food! We visited this popular restaurant on a busy Friday night without having booked and we almost went elsewhere when we saw the queue. However other diners convinced us that it was worth the wait - and it was! My husband and I shared a funghi pizza with a delicious thin base and excellent quality toppings, a beetroot salad, beef meatballs (entree size) and a couple of porcini & truffle arancini. We enjoyed ever single item we ordered. It took about 15 minutes for us to get seated but even though it was busy our food came out relatively quickly (within 20 minutes). The staff were attentive and friendly, the prices were very reasonable and we were able to bring our own wine with no charge for corkage!

The service was exceptional. We brought a birthday cake and it was presented beautifully to the table with plates and cutlery at no extra charge for cakeage. Nothing was a bother to your competent staff who handled a very busy Saturday night full house with ease and professionalism. We finally found delicious, wood-fired pizza in Australia! The Margherita was fairly authentic, and only $10. You cut it yourself with scissors! Delightfully fresh garden salad to go with it. Topping it off with a Peroni or Italian cider makes for the perfect Italian experience in Newstead.

Last night my Husband and I went to see Jerry Seinfeld and coming from the Gold Coast we thought we would get dinner at ISK on the way. When we arrived we discovered that each of us had forgotten our wallets! Clearly two young kids and busy lives had got the better of us. I grabbed my phone and noticed that they did deliveries via Deliveroo, so we thought we would go and ask if we could pay via that platform. We were met by Rosy (The Supervisor) who was very understanding of our situation and said that she was sure something could be arranged. She went and made a phone call and then came back and told us that they were not going to let us go hungry and tonight would be on them! It is incredibly rare for something like this to happen and I would like to thank them for their incredibly kind hospitality. The food was sensational and it's a very relaxed and enjoyable environment. We will be making the trip to come back there very soon and if you are looking for somewhere to support good food and even better people, then this is your place!

The best way to spoil a beautiful spot is to give me rehydrated pasta. Then get wait staff to cut me off mid-sentence while answering a question. I thought this might be Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers for pasta, but it's a den for big families with lots of children, led by cashed up Dads in a waking coma of their disassociated misery. Nice breeze and food came quick though.
