Wonderful night for celebrating my husband birthday. Lots of fun!! The egg and fired rice catching were the funniest moments. The chef did a good job from cooking to entertaining. We have an unforgettable night.

Ordered the ran set menu, which comes with your choice of sashimi or karaage chicken, Hokkaido scallops with white wine, Tasmanian salmon, Moreton bay bugs with creamy miso sauce, Wagyu beef, vegetable teppanyaki and fried rice. It was good, but there's nothing worse than paying $100 per person and leaving hungry 😭

The food for the most part was very good and our waitress was extremely lovely. My only complaint is that at a restaurant of this type, especially considering the price, I was taken back when I was served salmon that smelled and tasted very off. I couldn't eat it in the end and it was something I actually added on to my meal so I was very disappointed. Otherwise, the meal was really good. I just wish out chef would have been a bit more energetic as the table across from us was receiving the performance of a lifetime while ours was just okay.

I have tried several different teppanyaki restaurants in Brisbane and would love to give three-star to Kabuki. Firstly, one chef served two tables and made overcooked eye fillet. I know it is during busiest hours but you should have one chef be responsible for one table only to control the texture and quality of meats like eye fillets. Second, it is overpriced compared with other places. Lastly, not only me but also my friend thought that catch the raw egg interaction is food-wasting. It would be nice if you could improve the way of interaction with customers. Overall the place would provide a fun dining experience if it’s the first time you have teppanyaki. But there are some better teppan restaurants with higher quality of foods with more reasonable price.

This restaurant was really a disappointment. The chef did not have time to give the Teppanyaki feeling and show because he had to cook for four tables and hense some of the food was overdone e.g. the scallops and the waygu beef was not the quality one would expect of a high end restaurant. The chef used sauces and mayo on everything so you can't taste the food and at the end leaving a film on the palet, not very nice. So high end is in the price only charging over $400 for 3 people (no wine) and still charge a fee for paying by credit card and the person at the counter being quite obnoxious about it. Overaal a well below average experience, I"m being generous giving it 3 stars

Everyone at our table had a blast. If you've never had teppanyaki before be aware that there is an entertainment element, and food does get thrown around... try not to cry over spilt milk (or cracked eggs, haha!). The wait staff were also really polite and attentive and constantly checking if we needed anything. Overall, was definitely worth the price for an unforgettable experience and such high quality food!! Thanks again Kabuki and Miguel!

I ate here last night for a special occasion. I was a little bit underwhelmed with the experience as it seemed like we had the apprentice chef. The food was nice, but the portions varied from plate to plate in our group. The “show” that the chef normally puts on just felt awkward and underdone. I would like try teppanyaki again but I don’t think I would pay the premium price to go to Kabuki for the experience I had last night again.

What you expect from tepanyaki. Delicious food with good entertainment. They are prompt with drink service too. If you're in Brisbane it's worth a visit. One word - incredible. From the moment we were greeted everything was incredible. The service of the staff. The quality of the food and if the course the chef. The chef was incredible. I have never had, I never knew fried rice was or could be so aromatic. The flavour lingered in the most pleasant way possible, everything in harmony. The beef was amazingly well cooked and seasoned equally so. The Lamb, I have never had lamb at any restaurant cooked this well and I recommend the Fuji option (what I ordered). The chicken...well you can guess - it knocked my socks off. Dinner was awesome. Everything was incredible. Hands down an amazing 30th birthday dinner, a birthday dinner I won't soon forget. We had the most amazing experience at Kabuki restaurant. The atmosphere was fun and the food was amazing. The staff, the chefs, the managers went out of their way to ensure we had the best experience. This was my first teppanyaki experience, they have set the standard high for me. I personally want to thank the manager, Boon Gee Chan, he really made the night special for our group. And of course, our chef Ryosuke Kadoma for making the most delicious food ever! I've never known a chef that could cook for 8 people, all with different food tolerances and everyone enjoy their food to the fullest. Thanks again Kabuki Teppanyaki for making our night special!

I booked Kabuki for my husband's birthday and was go glad I did - it is the best Teppanyaki in Brisbane by far - he absolutely loved it and said it was one of his favourite dining experiences. We are vegetarian and loved every course of the vegetarian banquet, especially the dengaku eggplant! We hope to go back again with family for Christmas and are excited to see how the whole family goes with having food thrown at them!

There are numerous stations where the food is prepared, and we sit around in our parties, dressed in cheap plastic bibs, ready to be fed like seals. Celebrated my partner’s birthday dinner two weeks ago and totally forgot to leave a review, we had so much fun, Tapanyaki chef Micheal was amazing and super fun, I can tell he does really enjoy being a tapanyaki chef ! Service was bit slow from the floor staff I do know she has another big table but we sat there for 15 minutes without any water and drinks order took very long to come and ask while other tables already got their drinks, not sure how the sequence of service at this place but need to pay more attention on training floor staff, that’s why I left a star behind, she might be new and that’s totally understandable just pointing out the experience. Overall the food was great show was fun and my partner had an amazing night. Price was reasonable for the whole experience. I do recommend coming here celebrating special occasion !

I walked away disappointed on Saturday night. We had visited this restaurant 2 years ago and loved it. Why you asked why the disappointment, our chef. He had nil personality which makes these night enjoyable, also 1 chef to 2 stations does not work without a personality to entertain your guests, this is the experience you want. Food was good but the experience was odd to put it nicely. One chef for two tables made it quite a drawn out and hungry experience... rather than a real show he just threw a raw egg to everyone and nearly every customer dropped or broke the egg and covered themselves in goo. The rice was served last and was literally tossed to each customer so if you dropped your bowl (which the poor woman in front of us did) you just didn’t get your rice :/

Best steak I've had. Our chef, Chris, was an amazing showman who never broke his stride. The service was efficient and the chef ok. But honestly be warned, they will throw raw cracked eggs at you. Issue with this is if your chef is a bad shot (or if you are a bad catch), you will be forced to wear raw egg on you for the rest of the night, they do provide large bibs, but it won't protect your pants, sleeves or in my case purse. The salmon seemed overcooked as the chef was entertaining two sets of hot plates. Which left one group just waiting around until their turn. I don't believe I will go again but it was good just to see teppenyaki chefs in action.

We were pleasantly surprised that there was a teppanyaki show. The chef was great and we had an interactive experience where the chef flipped raw eggs (and fried rice!) and we caught them with bowls.
