My new go to for sushi & I would go as far as saying it is best Japanese Restaurant in Brisbane when comparing quality for cost. The sushi is always fresh and made to order. Service is super friendly and they offer 5% cash discount which is really generous. I love that they are open late too. Try Kaisen before the big chains, you won't be disappointed.

I honestly did not expect the food to be so great. All the sushi rolls especially Lucky 7 are so flavorful. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Sashimi is also very fresh. Highly recommended!!!

I get delivery and the food is delicious. Judging by the reviews, most others share my love for this place. I love and appreciate the generous amounts of sauces and mayo they put on. The aburi salmon pieces are big and perfect. I had a quick bite before taking a photo but then I couldn't stop eating so...no photos this time

Excellent food. Every bite was flavoursome. I strongly recommend their take Yakima. It was smoky cooked perfectly. The Sashimi Deluxe was good value. The bento box was again perfectly seasoned and nice blend of all flavours. ⭐⭐⭐ Excellent customer service.

Chirashi don was excellent here, hard to find for under $20 anywhere that also tastes great but Kaisen has both. Would come back (a lot). Sashimi was fresh, portion size was perfect, and even comes with scallop. Bonus points but the rice and ginger was also really nice (as well as the miso soup). Overall an excellent meal and probably one of the best Japanese you can get for this price in Brisbane, would definitely reccomend

Nice bar and restaurant near trendy Paddington central. Korean run but genuine Japanese cuisine. Highlight of our dinner was the Tataki salmon - thick cut, fresh and with a touch of aburi. Chirashi is generous sized, tempura is nice too. Very reasonable price for quality food.

The best sushi I have eaten in the entire of Australia. Rivals Nobu for quality. Well under priced for what you recieve. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates the effort and skill that goes into real sushi.

UPDATE: Amazing experience once again! Fresh sushi and nice service. The family bot was incredible!! Best takeaway sushi I have ever gotten!! The rolls are creative and fresh. The tuna melts in your mouth and the fried rolls as super filling and amazing. Prices are incredibly reasonable. I will be back again and again.

We ordered takeaway from this place and I have to say it’s the best sushi I’ve had in Brisbane! I never write reviews but I had to comment because me and my partner never find good quality sushi in Brisbane. The chicken karagee udon was also really good. Look forward to ordering again :)

Rocked up here for lunch. The seafood don was really yummy, and the staff was really friendly. We didn't have long to wait and parking was a breeze in the underground car park ($5.00)

Fantastic Experience! We got the Lucky 7 sushi pieces which was an excellent start - then shared the salmon bento and a karaage don. The Bento was amazing - the karaage was okay, but regardless still will be visiting again for more sushi. Delicious!

Bloody love this place. The takoyaki balls are delicious and feels like you're back in Japan. Always fresh and hot. Unagi and salmon Bento boxes are fire and you get so much salmon. The Kaarage chicken is so good. Eat here, you will not be disappointed.

This is the most delicious Sushi in Brisbane! It is well worth the price. The service is very friendly, the serving size is generous and it is the kind of sushi that is so good that there is no soya sauce or Japanese mayo needed! The presentation for dine in and takeaway is really beautiful, too!

I’ve worked in Japanese restaurants for roughly 4 years collectively, and have been eating Japanese food regularly for 12 years.. NOTHING compares to Kaisen!!! I tell everyone about them! Haha. Our regular Menulog order for 2 of us usually totals $120, because we can’t get enough of it. Their tuna sashimi is the best in Brisbane and I’ve never had such authentic and delicious rolls! The restaurant is nothing flash for a date night, but ordering the platters (and some extras) for home is perfect. The only thing I don’t like is their wasabi, I believe it’s the variety you buy powdered and there’s never quite enough.

Kaisen restaurant has provided me a nice food and friendly service. I ordered a menu (bibimbap) which was off-menu, but the chef made it for me without a hesitation. Not only that, all the sushi is really thick therefore I feel like I’m actually chewing sushi. I loved there and for sure I’ll be back again!

Most amazing Japanese restaurant in Brisbane!!! Located in such a great location this place is easy to get to and serves some of the best food I have ever experienced. Service is amazing and the staff are so welcoming and sure to put a smile on your face. The sashimi is as fresh as it gets and is on par with the infamous Tsukiji sushi restaurants located in Tokyo, Japan! My favorite is the Chirashi don (for the sashimi lovers), although the chicken karaage is sure to make you wanting to come back. The range of sushi is one of a kind. Heaps of unique dishes with crafty presentation. If you're feeling hungry, the amazing bento boxes will surely fill you up! Very well priced. Lovely atmosphere after their renovations were completed. Would be awesome to get some outside seating options so we can come here with the pooch. All these reasons put it at the top of my list! Thank you Kaisen Japanese Restaurant!
