Just heard this place from one of my mates, so I went there and ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Burger. The first bite on the outstanding chicken part gave me the well-known spicy korean sauce taste but, the inner side of the chicken between the buns delivered sweet and cheesy taste, and they were melting in my mouth. When I was about to finish it up, the crisp and clear aftertaste remained.. surprising! Yeah, I had a burger, not a beer!

What a treat! KCS has a amazing atmosphere and we’ve got nice food as well. All staffs, especially two girls who handling us are friendly and they recommend dishes was worthy. KCS food are good collaboration, mix and match with western style and korean style. We definitely will be back.👍🏻

This place was a great change of pace. Although the food took longer than what I am used to from a Korean run establishment (I think they’re Korean, I could be completely wrong), the food was worth the wait. Good work! I’ve been a couple of times now and it’s been great each time. We’ve only ever gotten wings each time so can’t comment on the burgers, but the wings are great. The milkshake is worth trying. Had a coffee-like flavoured one and it was probably one of the best milkshakes I have ever had. Also, do yourself a favour and get the donut. Bloody amazing.

They have small menu but I guess it is good enough for the chicken and beer shop. Our group shared the following: * The Burning Bird, $13.90 - a spicy chicken burger; with chilli mayo, KCS hot sauce, jalapeno, lettuce * Boneless Fried Chicken - Original, $17.40 - crispy battered chicken thigh fillet (hormone free) * Boneless Fried Chicken - Korean Sweet Chilli$17.90 * Half kilo Mid wings - Smoky BBQ, $17.40 * Half kilo Mid wings - Secret Soy, $17.40 * Kimchi Cheese Fries, $9.90 - beer battered chips served with house made kimchi, gochujang aioli, cheese sauce, tasty cheddar, onion * KCS Green Salad, $9.90 - baby gem, apple, celery, pumpkin seed, KCS house dressing If you want to dine in it's currently walk-ins only (no reservations). Contactless ordering and payment is available by scanning a table-specific QR code. Our food was served about 25 minutes after ordering, and separate plates were proactively provided to facilitate sharing. I had heard things about the Burning Bird and shared this with two others who were also keen to brave the heat. Turns out it wasn't much of a concern - tasty, and with a fillet about twice the size of the bun, but the burn was minor. Once is probably enough for this flavour, but I'd be keen to try other variations of their burgers, including the new flavour "Korean fried chicken burger". The rest of the meal was all pretty enjoyable and I preferred the wings to the boneless pieces. My picks for flavours were the Korean sweet chilli and the secret soy. I wouldn't say they're the best in my books but a solid contender, and I'd be happy to return for more. Regretted not getting the misugaru shake this time so I'll have to get it next time. Also hope there'll be a chance to try the full Kimchi Cheese Smile menu some day!

KCS Chicken is seriously THE BEST Korean Fried Chicken that I've had in Brisbane! In fact, it's so good that it's become our weekly take-way treat. The chicken is so tender, melt-in-your-mouth - love the secret soy sauce recipe! The chips are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - a perfect combo. Love the salad - always so fresh and don't get me started on the creamy mash! And of course a Korean meal wouldn't be complete without Kimchi - they make the best - yum! They also have fab burgers too!! I highly recommend KCS Chicken! (As I'm sure you can tell!!). And don't forget to tell the lovely Sara (owner) that I sent you!

Have been here both for dinner and breakfast and both menus were great! It’s a quaint shop with only a husband chef and wife front of house, but both do their jobs amazingly. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was flavoursome and offers great Korean flavours. Keen to try the pasta dishes next! —— Currently they’re specialising in Korean fried chicken and their Secret Soy chicken is just the best! Their chicken burger is also excellent value and full of flavours.

One of the best burgers I've ever had, these Korean chicken burgers are really good. You can tell they make the breading and so the seasonings themselves. The burger in the far left is the firebird and the one in the front is their classic chicken KCS burger which has a nice mild spicy Mayo. I would really recommend the ice coffee x biscoff milkshake! Without question the best quality Korean chicken you can get in Brisbane. It's a little pricy for the quantity, compared to other Korean chicken joints like Maru etc...BUT far worth it for the quality. The staff have been extremely polite and welcoming every time I have visited, even for takeaway the smiles are always bright. Definitely a business with values to look up to.

The takeaway process at KCS Chicken is extremely simple and efficient. Upon placing our order online we received a confirmation email and a text message once the order was ready for pickup. We got a serve of boneless fried chicken in the Korean sweet chilli flavour and a serve of kimchi cheese fries. I love that they use thigh meat for the fried chicken as that adds so much more flavour. The pieces were crunchy and thoroughly coated with the sauce. The fries were really good as well.

DELICIOUS! Best fried chicken burger I’ve had in Brisbane. Great value, just look at the picture, the chicken piece is HUGE. The portion is generous and the chicken is perfectly fried! The sauce and pickles complement the fried chicken and the bun is delicious 🤤. Obviously it’s sinful, but it’s definitely the first place I would choose when I feel like indulging 😌!!!

We went to this restaurant for the very first time for Valentine's dinner. The host Sara was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food and service were perfect. Their signature kalbi beef was gobsmackingly delicious. What tops it off more was that the place was only run by a husband and wife duo, with the wife serving and the husband cooking. These individuals are so hardworking and their product is amazing! Can't wait to go back to their restaurant again!

We decided to try out KCS chicken as recommend by a few friends and we weren’t disappointed! The staff are so sweet! The food portions are so generous! And it’s very delicious food at great prices! We got a few dishes to share between the 2 of us and we took almost half of it home cause we were so full. It’s quite a small pax restaurant we got a seat as soon as we walked in but as time passed there were quite a few people waiting to be seated. The food did take a while to come out but it wasn’t bad and was more than worth it. I definitely recommend KCS Chicken.!

Crispy fried chicken and cold beer. What else could you want? Good, fast service. Excellent burgers and fried chicken. Loved the honey fries and original burger. Takeaway or eat in. Eat in is a small area so be prepared to wait during peak hours.

A hidden gem in the Gabba! It’s a cute little restaurant with friendly staff and nice atmos! Everything is mostly contactless, you order your food through the QR code at your table. the food is delicious! We ordered the cheesy kimchi fries and a burger ~ the kimchi used is house made which is awesome ! Only downside is table water is charged at 10c on the app? Which is weird to me. So I probably recommend asking the staff for water than ordering through the app. Other than that, definitely a recommend! Will come back to try out more stuff on the menu!

Amazing service and delightful food. Gives the best restaurants in Brisbane a run for their money. My absolute favourite was the edamame. It was coated in sesame and black garlic oil and was just heavenly. I could pop that the whole night. The service was just impeccable. We had a great conversation and it felt so familiar and nice. Definitely coming back here often! Edit: we've come back here for breakfast and we've just been blown away by how good the waffles are. Fluffy, crispy and amazingly flavourful. Current favourite from the menu is the bulgogi panini with avo. The meat isn't as sweet as your regular bulgogi which is great because the full flavour of bulgogi is too strong for breakfast. The entire arrangement of the sandwich is so tasty, can't get enough of it!

The Kimchi Fries and Korean fried chicken burger are absolutely fantastic! Great value for money (the burgers are HUGE!) and so full of flavour :) staff are super friendly and service super prompt given how fresh it is!

This is a new little hidden restaurant near Gabba Stadium. K.F.C breading was nicely done & crispy and The chef told us he marinates Wagyu beef over 16hrs. It was so tender and juicy!!! Flavored sparkling waters, nice tap beers, cocktails, Kpop drinks and coffees. You get to choose!! 👍 Front staffs are attentive and friendly aswell. I can’t wait to try their brunch menu and coffee. I was very excited to try the burger when I saw the pictures on IG!! Got the chicken sandwich and KFC burger also a doughnut!! Burgers look exactly like the pictures and donut is huge ( thought would be small size and comes in three lol) . Bun is tasty but chicken itself there’s not much of flavor therefore it’s all rely on the sauce, but I prefer Korean restaurant the red sauce and batter. Donut tastes good but gets a bit doughy in the middle. If you’re a meat lover and like chicken burger I think it’s reasonable price to try it out!

Food is good. Their decision to go to an online QR ordering system for dine-in service is disappointing. The app requests so much unnecessary personal information despite it already having your table number. Ends up taking 3 times as long to put your order through. Lets be real, if you’re allowing people to dine in a tiny enclosed room, where masks inevitably have to be removed to eat. Where staff still have to physically walk to you to bring you food. Ordering your food online to avoid 2 mins more of masked interaction is unlikely going to increase a risk of covid transmission.

I discovered Kimchi Cheese Smile recently and was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem in w’gabba. The service is relaxed and friendly and the food is so delicious!! Try the squid entree or the Korean Fried Chicken. The Wagyu main is exceptional and the scallop risotto is seriously OUT OF THIS WORLD. Prices are really reasonable and the service is impeccable. I was able to finally try this place yesterday after checking out their food on instagram for awhile. Their fried chicken burger is unreal! The packaging was clearly prepared with care, so the food doesn't spill everywhere in a takeaway bag. They fried their food right. It's not greasy and you don't feel like you're eating a bunch of oil with your food. To me that is a sign that the chef knows what they are doing. Highly recommended!

When my friend told me about this place as a Korean restaurant, in my mind I was thinking about this is just another place that serves Kimchi Friedrice and Bibibap plus hot pots.... I was wrong...just like their name, there are Kimchi and cheese plus they will make you smile for sure! The food they serve here were Korean influenced but with a lot of different twists, I had the Kimchi Cheese rice which was excellent and tasty, the owner lady who served us was super friendly and greeted us with warm welcoming and we had great time!! Most places in Brisbane who claim to have good chicken have always been a disappointment because its usually bland but the flavors in this chicken was absolutely delicious! My friend had the cheese chicken burger and the hot burger and he said it was amazing. The housemade kimchi was also a joy to eat. You can tell it was made with love. The burger wasn't small... The burger was not only enough to satisfy me but the fried chicken was too good that I couldn't stop eating it. Super-friendly husband and wife team (Jamie and Sara) who serve amazingly delicious food. Since the onset of COVID-19, this duo pivoted away from their original sit-down restaurant to become a take-away Korean fried chicken joint (KCS Chicken). The flavour was nice and it was fairly crispy, but not as juicy as we would have liked. The hot sauce wings were juicier and crispier than the boneless, but the batter flavour was missing something. The spice level and sourness of the sauce was nice but lacked volume. We thought it was missing msg. Then we realised the lack of msg was promoted. Which we thought was weird. This restaurant is an absolute gem. Mid range pricing for gourmet fare. Cute boutique fusion restaurant that does not put a foot wrong. Our host was attentive and helpful, the food was delicious and uncomplicated. We ordered conservatively not knowing what to expect, but everything was top notch made with a careful attention to detail. Next time I will be trying the pasta range... Wasn't quite brave enough to order pasta from a Korean place straight away! Cocktails were also too notch and reasonably priced, can't believe this place is not getting more attention.

My favourite restaurant and definitely one of Brisbane's best. Have tried most of the menu now and found it to be well thought out, innovative, and genuinely delicious. Personal favourites are the school prawns, wagyu, and the confit duck pasta. Kimchi Cheese Smile just gets it right - including the little details like soft and ambient lighting, comfy seats, and fresh flowers on every table. And the best thing? A group of nine of us ate here last night and it could not have been better. The front of house staff greeted us like old friends and helped us work out the perfect amount to order and the dishes that would suit all requirements. The food is so delicious that there was not a single morsel left on any plate. The wagyu beef melted in your mouth, the spicy pork had a beautiful mix of soft pork with an outer charcoaled layer and the special pork belly in miso sauce was also a winner. The drink selection is also great, with a range of Australian beers and wines and also a cocktail list which starts at $10 :) For plentiful food (and more than enough drink!) it worked out $50 a head, which was an absolute bargain for the quality of what was served. We shall be back!

Since moving up from Melbourne, this is the best restaurant we've found. Incredible food, delicious drinks and amazing service. The name is a bit misleading as there's no cheese or kimchi to be seen. Instead, you will find a range of modern Australian dishes with a subtle Korean twist. We have visited this place for dinner a couple of times in an attempt to 'eat the menu' and everything is perfect - Jamie and Sara can do no wrong. We were a bit cautious about the pasta dishes but took a chance on the XO seafood and now we're obsessed. Wagyu kal-bi, fried chicken, pork belly, spicy pork and broccolini are all super yum too. You know when you leave a place and go "I wanna come back and try more" that's the feeling I had once leaving KCS. The venue was cosy, the staff were fantastic and the food was delicious. I came later in the evenin when the venue was quiet but was still greeted with the same warm, happy gusto that I believe every customer receives upon entering and was guided to my table quickly. The menu was explained well to me and was even told about the delicious specials that they had for the day, I was also offered some room temperature water (due to it being a chilly night). I ordered an entree of the Pork Mandu and for my main I ordered the Scallop Risotto, for a beverage I had one of the local beers, Balter XPA. The Restaurant itself was so warm and cosy (especially on the cold night we were having), looking around all the decorative pieces sat neatly laid out and each reflecting the comfortable style of the place. I really enjoyed the Pork Mandu, just enough for the flavours to leave me craving the main meal that was still to come. What a great main meal! The Scallop Risotto was really delicious, the pairing of the Nori crisp with the scallops was a great combination and the Korean barley had absorbed so much of the flavour! Throughout my experience I was always asked at just the right time about how my meals were going and if I needed any refills for my drinks, all in all fantastic. After clearing my plate and guiding me to the till we had a great little conversation about the food and the venue and I left feeling sated, satisfied and thoroughly happy about my experience at KIMCHI CHEESE SMILE. If I could offer any feedback: Need bigger signage! Being right next to a busy road you've got fantastic potential for promoting yourselves, got to show your name and what you do! I feel the current one is a little hidden, same goes with the one on the pedestrian footpath, I at first thought it was just a street decoration, something to catch the eye a little better? Clear your windows! Everything on the glass at the entrance of the door was taking away from showing off the inside of your restaurant, your entrance is your customers "red carpet", keep it clear to as this is the first step of the experience :) Other! Maybe adding a permanent drinks menu at each table, something small, you'll find some customers will want to change what they're drinking throughout the meal but if they lack a direct menu they won't do it, more opportunity to expand what people drink, instead of just the local. Oh and having an optional slice of lemon with the risotto might be an idea, I often enjoy risotto with freshly squeezed lemon juice, the zest gives it a tasty burst of flavour, that would compliment both the Nori crisp and the scallops. Thank you for a great meal! I'm definitely trying the XO Seafood Pasta next!

Lovely date night spot, simple ambiance, upbeat music playing all night. Service was wonderful, friendly, understated. Ate: Pork Mandu (Korean for dumpling), delicious, full of flavour, perfectly cooked, soy sauce and spring onions alongside made a perfect start to the evening. Wagyu kalbi, short ribs, or more specifically the meat between the ribs (intercostal) that had been cooked sous vide for 16 hours, and was paired with potato puree & kimchi, it was phenomenal, incredible flavour bite after bite. Spicy pork, with mushrooms & bean sprouts. Amazing charcoal smoke flavours, and juicy af. Tomato, kimchi, cheese: good for wiping your palate clean then eating more of the beef and pork! Dessert -- Vanilla ice cream, perilla seed cookie, dark chocolate, honey, ginseng: The cookie tasted like shortbread, the dark chocolate was amazing...it was a really well balanced dessert, not too sweet, not quite savoury. Drank: Citrus Soju cocktail -- it was half price this night, I can't remember why, but I do know that's why we ordered it. Fresh orange, grapefruit, soju + soda water, served with shot glasses = good times. Balter IPA & a glass of Tommy Ruff Clarott. Overall: Amazing! Will be back, and I'll bring friends and family next time, a new hot spot in Brisbane, I'm calling it. 고맙습니다!
