Comments of Kinn-Imm Thai Hawker Food Brisbane City

Visited during my little getaway time.
Great selections of Thai food, and a popular restaurant with lots of people dining in.
Everything tastes great and so authentic, with a super good price. The food comes also very fast.
Remind me my trip in Thai.
Highly recommended this place.

Food takes time to be served. We got a hair and green worm in one of rice dish. They immediately replaced it and cooked another batch. Food is delish tho.
K. T.
This place has the best Thai food in the Brisbane CBD. Table service is offered to dine-in customers and the servers are friendly. Good atmosphere. We waited a little bit for our food as they were very busy but it was worth it. Prices are very reasonable for a non-food court location.

Unique street-food ambiance, attentive crew and quick service. We had crispy pork, marinated grilled chicken and braised pork hock. Had a lovely thai iced coffee to take away after our delicious meal. We've been here a number of times and we love how varieties were now added on the menu. Been returning at this restaurant for the green curry, massaman beef and soft shell crabs! 🤤

This is real Thai food. If you want to know what Thai food tastes like, please come this restaurant

Enjoyable food. The beef stir fry was not extraordinary tender. However i have experienced that many times before with thinly sliced beef so should choose chicken or pork next time. I would recommend based on flavour and service.
L. 1.
Best Thai street food in Brisbane city, great service (expect street food service- fast and efficient but not particularly friendly). Clean and well maintained. Always very busy during peak hours. Sister restaurant to Pochana which is just around the corner. Highly recommended!!! :)
J. K.
The food is pretty good with flavours that are quite close to what you can get in Thailand. The menu is also filled with traditional Thai food that is hard to find at mainstream Thai restaurants. My only complaint is the almost non-existent service.

Delicious food. The Duck was nice and juicy. From the pic it looked crispy but when served slightly soggy not sure if that's how it was meant to be either way I enjoyed it. Chilli sauce was amazing but too small in my opinion. Would done again with more people for sure. Service was friendly. The decor really transports you to SE Asia from the metal engraved cups to the Rustic interior design. 4.5⭐ slight deduction for the portion sizes and also Staff not having uniforms which would really elevate the experience. Had lunch at 1pm.

Food was unreal! So authentic, the first place in Aus where I’ve seen morning glory(the water spinach) and it was delicious!!! We had vegetarian fried rice, spicy pork soup, fried water spinach and satay chicken skewers and the food brought me straight back to Thailand. Can’t wait to try the other dishes here.

Dec 2020 - We rang to order some take away... we ended up giving up it was too hard. So we went in and ordered take away face to face. Meen served us, she was very pleasant and very professional and quick taking our order. The food came out at a reasonable time. We ordered, green chicken curry, red chicken curry, red duck curry, beef massaman,. Red duck and red chicken curry was very nice. Green curry was not so great, i love a good green chicken curry, this would be one of the worst I have ever had, very oily.
M. M.
Nice Staff, nice place. They are quick with taking your orders and preparing the food.
The place is clean and tidy. But the food was not tasty to be honest. Far from what I expected from a Thai food.
J. T.
Likely the best Authentic Thai food restaurant in Australia. Actual genuine Thai food, not the usual "Aussie Takeaway" style so called "Thai" food. If you have been to Thailand and lived with Thai people, you know that this restaurant has genuine Thai food.
E. B.
Dinner was amazing. The service was so great. Very efficient, food came out fast. Even though they were closing very soon when we came in, they still made us feel welcome.
L. B.
OMG...the best thai food I've had in ages. The freshness and flavours are amazing. You must try the crab prawn rolls. They are so crunchy and delicious.

When I feel like Thai food 🇹🇭 so I come @kinnimm.queenplaza where is providing Thai street food vibes which rarely find those menu in other place in Brisbane. Plus the location is just in heart of CBD. The menu has creat for a large carte menu and family and friends who would like to share food together.
♨️I do recommend "Jim Jum" which is a street version of Thai hot pot serving with vegetables and meats. The based soup is spicy and sour tasted and you can dip you meat with their housemade sauce.
E. B.
So 60s in Thailand, love the ambiance the food came out fast all together Enter and 3 other main dishes. I guess is the food court style but I believe if not busy hours you could ask how could you like to have your courses send. food was pretty amazing! Great stir fried dishes. Great price and portions. All the staff were busy with their own things it was really hard to get there attention... that improved will be excellent!
E. J. D.
It tastes just like Asia. Food was fantastic! Good portions, good price. We had the grilled chicken, pad Thai, and deep fried pork ribs.
Service needs improvement. The two of us had plenty of bags, so we wanted a table for four. They insisted on seating us at the smallest table, despite the restaurant being pretty empty (it was about an hour to closing). The justification was to make room for potential customers in larger groups. I understand if it's during peak hour, but the restaurant was only about 20% full.
Service is good otherwise. We keep coming back cause the food is so good and cheap! If they improve on this, then it'll be perfect!
T. K.
I didn’t have much luck in ordering right dishes at Kinn Imm. Som Tum Tad (Combination papaya salad) was one of the weirdest Thai dish that I’ve tried. It looked good on the menu but it was so salty, it needed to be consumed with a bowl of rice noodles or rice. To balance the flavours, I’ve quickly ordered a large Thai fried rice and it was so spicy, I felt like I ran for 4 hour marathon afterwards. Kinn imm is an authentic Thai restaurant but their staff need to speak better English so that they can warn the customers!
B. H.
A nice gem within Queens Plaza. Street food options leaving a nice variety of dishes you wouldn't normally see other Thai paces.
S. C.
Delicious authentic Thai food. Haven’t been to a lot Thai restaurants in Brisbane but compared to the ones I have in Sydney and Melbourne this is top quality. Had the $15 spicy pork egg noodle soup, Thai sausage and wings. Left a happy man. Only annoying thing with my experience was I would have preferred a bottle of water instead of cup refills, but it’s small in scheme of things. Will definitely be back when I return to Bris Vegas.
N. B.
We had a large group of about 30 and were accommodated and served without any problem and even though they have 'no split bill' policy they were able to split as a special case for our large group. Food was delicious and very affordable with good portions, alot of the mains being under $20. All the meals were tasty and a big variety, also have authentic spicy Thai foods $3 for BYO and good range of non alcohol drinks.
T. N. (.
Went to this thai restaurant for the first time. They have a happy hour session from 3 - 5pm, $7 for a meal choosing from a selection of 4. With pork boat noodle, bbq pork rice, pad thai and spicy and sour chicken soup. We had pad thai and pork boat noodle. I really like it. The broth is strong but not salty. Pad thai is good as well. Portion size is good for a afternoon tea. Will definitely come back again.
28/9/2018 Update
Came back again for dinner. Ordered a full table of foods. Very delicious. The restaurant was full house. However, we didn’t have to wait long for our foods. Highly recommended!!
J. C.
Absolutely delicious and value for money Thai food in the city. Much better in terms of value compared to Pochana even thought they are under the same management.
Highly recommend for good inexpensive Thai food within the city. Came here a few times with friends.
D. L.
Great Thai food options. Grilled chicken Som tum, so tasty. Just the right amount of food. Fast friendly service.
L. K.
Som Tam and pork bone soup were great. Will definitely go back.
H. L. L.
Great location - located at the heart of CBD. They've happy Hour Deals ( 3pm - 5pm ) , you can choose from 4 selection & only cost $7 per meal . The portion is good . Food is tasty and authentic , the medium spicy is not really spicy , as our Ms 8yo can take it . No kids meal provided. The place has a charming atmosphere , you'll feel that you are really dinning at Thailand . Nice food presentation. Definitely will come back again .
B. A.
Delicious food, really fresh and quick service. We had the pad thai, chilli jam crispy pork and the garlic chive dumplings. Everything was tasty and in generous portions. Highly recommended.
A. M.
The best Thai food I've had so far in QLD and probably in Australia and believe me I have had great Thai dishes in Sydney. I realised I was in the right place because it's full of Thai people eating there.
Just look at the dishes
M. M.
Food was great. Just their plates are very unpleasant.
Broken and chip plates. It’s a hazard for costumers, people could get cut of the sharp chip edge of their plates and bowls. Plates are also not properly washed. Dried food stuck on plates and utensils.
L. L.
Great restaurant for a local Thai food experience. The food is usually very good and is a close match for what you get in Thailand.
Y. Z.
This my first time here and it won’t be the last I had the best fried fish here in Brisbane this place is a gem I really enjoyed the food here also the service is grate and the price is reasonable I highly recommended this restaurant
B. S.
This is a great place if you're after excellent Thai food in a casual environment. Not so much a place for a romantic date or a lingering chat, it's definitely a good lunch option when you're shopping or on a break from work. The service is quick, the menu is interesting, and the decor is dark and pleasant. Unfortunately it does feel a little packed together and noisy, hence the reason I wouldn't recommend it for a date and the wine menu is limited (with no cocktails...).
T. H.
Delicious, authentic food. 5/5 for that. 3/5 for service, pretty average but not bad. Price is really good, 5/5. Overall 4.5/5
A.
First time to try this place yesterday. I love the ambience. We ordered grilled marinated beef--it was amazing! Just the way I like it. Also had crispy pork belly with red curry and green curry meal (a bit salty but love the little eggplants). Kiwi with chia seeds is a must try.
D. B.
Best place to eat Thai food at Brisbane CBD. We went there with some Thai friends and they were very happy to share their culture with other international friends. Food taste amazing and prices are not too high.
Highly recommended.
S. T.
we randomly entered the restaurant to find the these delicious food. 👍👍😍😍 the grilled chicken was the best. i highly recommend this place.
Y. v.
Amazing food with service. I ordered a grilled chicken rice. The sauce is very special and fresh chicken. However, the rice is a bit sticky. Worth to give it a go!
F. C.
Food was lovely. I had the stir fry crispy pork, the pork skin is crispy, vegetables is cooked to perfection still with a bit of crunch, and the sauce was divine. I also had a papaya (pawpaw) salad, and I think it’s the best I’ve had yet in Queensland. The service was on point too. I was dining by myself and was going to order on the à la carte menu and the waitress pointed me the lunch specials which saved me a few $. The place has a charming atmosphere, good for groups or lunch/dinner dates. All in all it was a good dining experience. I highly recommend this place and will be back again to try other dishes.
M.
By far the most genuine and inexpensive way to experience Thai food! Great staff and again the food is absolutely delicious as you would find in Bangkok. Will always recommend this place to friends and family as long as they keep doing what their doing. Mango sticky rice is a definite try!
K. C.
The food here reminded us so much of our Thai holiday. Authentic thai street food flavours and friendly service. Especially enjoyed the pork ribs which literally fell off the bone!
J. S.
Quick Thai fix? Kinn-Imm got you! One of the best Thai places in Brisbane- definitely worth your time. Portions are big enough, lots of variety and really tasty! Make sure to come in early as they are really busy during dinner time 6-9pm! Otherwise, one of my fave Thai places!
N. P.
Quite spicy
Satay worth ordering

Very Thai style and very yummy. Staff here are so friendly and very helpful. Restaurant very unique design and clean.. highly recommended.
V. T.
I like how they have styled this as a hawker street food restaurant. The food tastes great and with reasonable portions. Seating is a little small but comfortable enough.
J.
Delicious with large serving sizes .I got the crispy pork and it was near perfect - not too salty and came with some soup. The service was great although they don't do split bills.
S. G.
Great flavours and spices. Slightly disappointed at the portion of their noodles and freshness of the fish and thus the 4 stars. I would come back for their Pad See Ew.
R. C.
At noon, the restaurant is very busy. the prices are normal and the food tasted very fresh and tasty. the staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is located in the basement of the David Jones Shopping Center. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. in the whole of me full 5 stars.
B. S.
Always enjoyed eating at this restaurant, their food is fantastic. Grab a mango sticky rice dessert if they have them available.
m. k.
Always fabulous food and an authentic Thai experience. Just like being home in Bangkok
A. C.
Tasty food... Great service! Been here a few times.. More than happy to come back...
Y. S.
I ordered pad Thai, the taste is good and generous portion, I will suggest to have some unsweetened drink, for a healthier option.
P. P.
4 of us booked a table to make sure quickly can be seated. Selection of food is really good. We had 2 starters to share and 5 main dishes and rice. I think it was too much, we hardly could finish it. The massaman beef and duck curry was the best choice. Had 4 small bottles of Changi beers. And paid $166. So I think it was reasonably priced for the place which looks like a street food eatery in Thailand.
A. P.
Look, it was ok but nothing special at ALL. Food was obviously pre prepared as means came out in 3 or 4 minutes and there was nothing wrong really, more just it was stuff you could get anywhere and not that unique.
B. W.
Great service.food so Thai. It wAs amazing and tasty. I would recommend
G. C.
Food is yum. But the lunch special is smaller than the picture. Also unless all but one in the group has cash, they do not do split bills.
S. G.
The food is very fresh and very delicious. My favourite is vegetarian cashew nut. The staff here are very helpful and friendly. The prices are very fair too and I've come here twice whilst on my holiday in Brisbane. This is the best thai I've had in very long time. I wish you had restaraunt In Sydney!
ส. U. ส. R.
Absolutely Delicious!! They have everything I love on the menu. Highly recommend it.
K. A.
Lovely restaurant with healthy dishes, fast and efficient service, looking forward to our next visit
Z. B.
Food is pretty good. Unfortunately the website prices are different for some items compared to the price in store. Was not particularly pleased that my meal cost nearly 20% more than expected. Please sort out your menus!
K.
Hands down the best Thai food in Brisbane. Come to Kin Imm if you wanna try a real authentic Thai Food. The papaya salad is so freaking good just like in Thailand. Some other yummy dishes including tom yum , tom zap and noodles soup.
L. S.
Really like their e-san hotpot. Been there many times and will keep going.
L. Y. L.
Price: ★★★★☆ (3-5pm $7 dishes; expensive off-happy hour)
Portion: ★★☆☆☆ (very small)
Taste: ★★★★☆ (can be a bit too salty)
Service: ★★★★☆ (can be slow at times)
Ambiance: ★★★★☆ (really like the Thai street hawker aesthetics of the restaurant, but tad too dark for my liking)
J.
Excellent Thai food with flavours that transport me back to my last trip to Thailand. Reasonable prices and great service.
f. p.
So freaking tasty 👅 🤤!
S. E.
We had the dry noodles, basil chili chicken, spicy soup and the mango sticky rice. No complaints about the food. It was tasty and arrived quickly even though it was busy. The restaurants interior is nicely themed and makes you feel like you just might be in thailand. The staff were friendly and helpful. Mango sticky rice portion was too small.
Update: service was terrible today. Lots of staff to serve but no actual serving being done. Ladies too busy chatting with each other to take a food order or clear tables.
S. L.
I think this place is most close to the taste of local Thai street food(I tried street food in Bangkok and Phuket)!!
Love their Thai street food noodle dishes (soft bones and pork boat) and bbq/ Crispy pork/ pork hook rice!! Price are reasonable too!!
The downside is, the Saltiness from the fish sauce are very strong makes me very thirsty after eating it, but that’s legit Thai!!
Other dishes are just Standard:)
S. S.
Simply the best traditional Thai food you will find in Brisbane. I know because I have been married to a Thai lady For 10 years and before covid I would travel to Thailand 2 times per year. I wish we had this style of food on the Bayside Southside. There are many Thai restaurants around me but that is just Thai food made for western population. I love you Kinn-Imm ... I hungry just thinking about your food. Coming soon.
D. A. R.
Service was great... Very attentive staff. Food was delicious. I ordered Spicy Vegetarian noodles with egg and Thai milk.
e. w.
Started coming here when it first opened. Last night came back after a long time. High brisbane humidity and packed place full of families , couples and girlfriends catching up. Pretending I was back in Thailand I order fish cakes. The best ever. This dish is my favourite. Mususmam beef had beautiful rich flavours and good portions.
R. M.
I had the pork boat noodles from the happy hour menu. It was nice! If you like pepper as much as I do, then you’ll like it. The soup was flavourful and the meat was tender. Will come back, the next time I visit Brisbane. I wanted to order Thai ice tea, but I saw other tables, it was served in single use plastic cups and straws, so I didn’t order it.

I have dined at this Thai street food restaurant several times when visiting Brisbane. This time I just wanted a light lunch prior to going out for dinner with friends. I noted that between 3-5 pm they have options for around $8. I chose the Chicken Pad Thai. Serving size was obviously smaller than the full priced version but it was perfect for me. Flavour and taste was excellent. I also enjoyed my meal with one of my favourite beers Chang. The place was busy and buzzing and has that real Thai street food ambiance. A great option in the city and located downstairs at Queens Plaza.
R. H.
Never let me down! Most authentic Thai flavour ever! Here is my favourite restaurant so far.
M. C.
I always enjoy here. Never regret having green curry.

Best thai I've had in QLD

Amazing restaurant. As a fan of Thai food, I have Thai food every Saturday. Food is amazing and delicious, real taste of Thai. Special menu for Lunch is amazing with various choices of noodles and reasonable price.
It’s always busy so you may have to wait for the tables. Highly recommend !

Cool looking shop with a nice bar. Authentic food and friendly service.

You can have the good food for reasonable price at happy hour (3-5pm) just $8 each!

Major props to Kinn-Imm and the staff for serving our large group of 13 on a Saturday night.
All of us love the food, especially the steamed barramundi with lime and chili. It was the star, and we all enjoyed it.
It was also a birthday celebration for our friends, and huge thanks to the staff to play the Happy Birthday song in the restaurant, and even provided us with newly washed plates for us to consume the cake.
Thank you for the hospitality!

Delicious authentic Thai food. Haven’t been to a lot Thai restaurants in Brisbane but compared to the ones I have in Sydney and Melbourne this is top quality. Had the $15 spicy pork egg noodle soup, Thai sausage and wings. We dropped in, mid afternoon. Service was not great, the waitresses seemed very pre-occupied, inattentive rather than busy. The food was tasty. The chicken and cashew was almost all meat and nuts. Not a bad thing.

Ate here after arriving from the airport for a stay in the city, first thing I noticed when I entered was the smell, mouth watering. The menu is small but packed full of favorites. Ordered the crispy pork belly and a serve of kang kong and both were absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and fast. Recommended.
B. S.
Very tasty traditional thai food but unfortunately they use plastic cup of water to served customers. This is 2020 and we should care about the environment and reduce use of plastic. Hopefully you will change to be more e-co friendly restaurant as I really like your food
A. T.
Best thai food I have had so far with great value and taste is super authentic and incredibly served. Amazing quantity and amazing price! If you love thai food, and havent tried this yet, you would want to straight away now because there is no going back elsewhere! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 6 Stars for them!

Best Thai food in QLD. Authentic flavors. I drive up from the coast just to get food here. Get in early as it fills up fast. Great fermented crab papaya salad and stir fried water spinach - extra spicy is the only way. ;)
l. C.
I have been quite a few times and this week I visit since the pandemic has slowed down and restrictions lifted. The food still taste good but portion has drained - which is understandable and I am willing to pay the same price to help business out. However they didn't ask me to complete a customer details registry in preparation for, if any customers were discoverer a confirmed case with Covid- what ashame.

The food was great! Not too expensive. Enjoyed it a lot. Green vegetarian curry was amazing
S. C. M. C.
Great tasting Thai food with a good local touch !! Staffs are friendly and service is prompt!! Would recommend anyone wanting to have good authentic thai food and is within the city vicinity to give this place a try. Please be aware that this place can get very busy during lunch and dinner times!!
S. M.
If you love real spicy salty food, this is for you!! I loveee their papaya salad. I've tried all types they have on the menu and it's insane!! Stress releaser. "Girl food". Drive your tongue crazy with mind-blowing flavours!! Tip: try with sticky rice, up to 14 chilli is free. The Chill lime whole basaman fish is CRAZY GOOD too. Their Isan sausages, noodle soups are great too. My top 2 would be combo papaya salad and steamed chilli lime basaman fish. If solo, go for their papaya salad with grilled chicken and sticky rice - great deal!! Or their soups or fried chicken or stirred fried dishes.
J. M.
Such a cool restaurant! Food came out nice and quick even though the place was packed. The staff were really nice and friendly. When the food came out we thought the portion sizes were a bit small but then couldn't finish the meals so was impressed by that. Very happy and will go back for sure!!
l. g.
A good, authentic Thai eatery. The decor is great - reminded me of my trips to Thailand. Friendly and prompt service. I had Pad Thai and my sister had Combination Papaya Salad. Both were enjoyable. My Lime Thai Tea was delicious. Would definitely go again. Just one issue, though - and this goes for many cafés - I wish they would not use disposable plastic drink cups.
P. P. K.
I love Thai food and this is the place to go if you are like me. Tom Yum Prawn is my favourite and papaya also taste good. However, the size of the meals change time to time. I think they can improve that. FYI, when you order 2 rice, you can only have one large rice bowl and it is not enough for me and my friend. If you order one rice and order another rice after you get the first one, you can get much more.
g. t.
love this place…my regular restaurant in brissy
M. M.
It was so delicious.. I'll be there again soon
A. K.
Amazing flavours great food all around
J. P. V.
We should get sponsored by this place, we go at least 3 times a month and always bring people with us to make them try how absolutely delicious it is! Hahah nah honestly is by far the best and most thai traditional like restaurant we have tried in Brisbane and Goldcoast. My wife is Thai and I have lived 2 years in thailand, so believe me when I that you MUST try this place. Thanks for all the amazing food you guys have made for us and for all the happines you have given us. We will see you again soon!
J. B.
AuthenticThai look, feel, sounds, and flavors. As if a restaurant in Bangkok was picked up and transported into a modern shopping mall next to a Coles Express. Highly recommend. Eat and be full.
賢.
Non-stop delicousness! Nice and friendly staff! Sawadeee!
E.
Stir fry Pad thai is way too sweet and moist , but the roast duck noodle is really suprise me which taste exactly the same like i had before in thailand , can give it a try . service is not good or bad i could say , staff are rude , have to ask several time for napkin , no smile on their face , not paying attention on customer ( i have to wave my hand like thousand year to get them to take my food order)
V. D.
Great authentic Thai food. Price is what I'd expect for the taste, setup and quality presented. Seating areas are a little cramped as it is in a corner next to Coles, but the service is good and food brought out quickly even during peak hours. The drinks are very tasty, but do contain mostly ice. Definitely recommend if you’re in the CBD and want some Thai food.
蒋.
friendly service. classic evironment reminding gold old time and amzing food. higly recommended.

Beef was really good.
P. G.
Great food and the service is fantastic they are very interested in making sure the customer is extremely happy.
The decor is very nice and the place is spotless, lots of children chairs too, it's very family friendly and well priced for their reasonably generous serving sizes.
The food is full of flavour, the desert looked great but we didn't get a chance to taste it, we will be back to try it for sure.
On a side note, their service is so good - one of the staff went to the trouble of bringing us our coat when we forgot it.
S. A.
Visited 3 times, ordered off the lunch menu. All 3 have been wonderful. Amazing flavour. Occasional lines out front but usually clear quickly. Food service off lunch menu is very fast. Decent sized menu including beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails and dessert. Seats and tables are a tight fit.
Update: they have long tables that would take a group of upto 8. Had green chicken curry today, it was a bit wstery and the chicken a bit flavourless. Other meals I have had were great.
M. J.
Ordered beef salad and flavor was to die for. Rare beef strips melted in my mouth with an explosion of lime, chill and fish sauce. Wish there was more coriander and the lettuce was more finely chopped. Also red onions might've given the dish a slightly more subtle onion flavor. I loved this dish, it would blow my mind with a few subtle adjustments. Came for lunch in a large group and was very impressed with service, only 1 dish was slightly delayed. No split bills but you can pay individually by cash at the counter,so that was convenient. Atmosphere is cool, makes me feel like I'm in a hawker centre. Definitely recommend.

Stumbled across this little gem today & had what I think might be the freshest Thai cuisine I've had in a very long time. Quick food service, fun ambience & friendly staff make for a very pleasant dining experience. I will be coming back...compliments to the chefs & front of house staff :)
R. C.
Great Thai food and relaxed dining environment !
N. S.
Been here around 3 days a week since they were opened. Only once had salty dish. The service is always great. The Thai dishes is the best comparing others in the city and nearby suburbs. I brought my international friends from various countries and they all love it. Keep up good work! 😉
M.
Nice food. But a bit pricey for quality outside of happy hour specials.
M.
I rarely every give 5 stars as there is so much good food readily available in Brisbane these days. But, I am absolutely impress with the culinary delight that is Kinn-Imm.
Yes, its tucked away in a little corner next to Coles in Queens Plaza, yes the decor and seating is more street food than restaurant. BUT when it comes to authentic, delicious and fresh Thai food, Kinn-Imm makes up for all that with their perfectly prepared meals.
We've been on several occasions and endeavoured to order different items each and every time. No matter, what we ordered, everything was simply exquisite. All the dishes had their own unique taste and flavour to it. None of the curries taste like the other. None of the noodle dishes tasted like its counterpart. Each one had its own signature flavour and packed a taste explosion rivalling those of 5 star restaurants.
It's hard to pick a favourite because everything is so good. But, I highly recommend the Red Duck Curry. Prepared in the true Thai style with juicy morsels of whole lychees and pineapple, the succulent cuts of duck rests in a generous bowl of gravy. Yes, all the curries come with generous servings of sauce that is simply heavenly.
The staff are friendly and courteous. Service is quick. While pricing is a little on the high side, it is worth every cent.
P/s. Don't forget to check out the drinks selection too. Creatively paired, we love their mocktails and ice-coffee. A must-try.
J. W.
Great Thai food. Order roast chicken thigh: TOP marks for being tender and delicious, my kid loves them. Tom yum soup comes
With generous amount of fresh prawns. Papaya salad is a generous size too. Portion are huge and most importantly authentic.
O. A.
Authentic Thai food taste. Nice decoration with lots of variety.
The owner speak the language.
Only the staff is not really know what’s goin on in the kitchen made it quite slow to made the order
S. Z.
Good Thai food, pretty local
C. R.
Genuine Thai cuisines, never failed me. Quite cheap considering it's in the heart of the CBD.
K.
Had Thai milk tea and work dried chicken with rice, it was delicious as I expected after reading everyone’s reviews.
E. L.
Ordered the Papaya Salad with Salted Crab. To my surprise when I started eating it, the crab was just brined and appeared raw. I had a expectation of soft shell crab for some reason. To be honest, it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault about that. My expectation was different. At first I thought it was a mistake and I was going to send that dish right back... even after having taken the order away. However on some research aka Google, it was Boo Kem. It was meant to be that way. The crab is brined and fermented and imparts a briny Unami flavour to the salad. It’s usually smashed to release the juices and put into the salad. Diners usually just push the crab bits aside in Thailand. I’ve concluded that I’m not a fan of the dish and didn’t finish it.
So why the 5 stars?
Because when was the last time you went to a restaurant that was unashamed authentic and didn’t care if they offended the local dining populace with their authenticity? This isn’t toned down Thai for the masses, this was real Thai. Food that a local would be eating in Thailand. To serve this in the middle of Brisbane takes courage. A lesser restaurant wouldn’t have even offered the dish scared of offending the audience, instead offering just some excessively sweet Westernised Pad Thai...
Sure I’ve discovered that I’m not a fan of raw fermented crab, but ordering a dish and having a less than savoury response to said dish is something that sometimes happens when you travel and go outside your comfort zone. But to have such an experience at home in Brisbane was fairly impressive. I would gladly go back to Kinn-Imm.... just no more salted crab....
P. P.
Lunch was amazing. Tasted like an authentic Thai food. The price wasn't so bad ($12-13). Staffs are helpful and friendly. Definitely be back again!

Good Thai Food, Green Papaya Salad, Phad Thai
W. L.
Excited to try this new restaurant, I notice that the menu has many interesting items I would like to try a few more times. I ordered the Beef & Tendon noodle soup (similar to a Pho but in a Thai style). I liked the Chinese Chives in the soup but it was a sweet soup that didn't taste home-made. It made me thirsty so I wonder if that is the MSG they may use. I tried some of my friend's eggplant - it was ok but too hot for my taste. And I also tried the Thai Milk Tea. Also quite sweet. I would come back to try some other items but believe I would not be a regular as it may just be a craze.
E. T.
I had three thai people accompany me on my first visit, all telling me this is authentic Thai food but I didn't care, because every dish was DELICIOUS! Honestly I had the best time, the atmosphere was fantastic, the service fast and the place spotless. For chilli addicts: ask for the Wah-ni-gah with chilli and enjoy a slow but intense burn! I adore spicy food and this sauce had me begging for beer!
A. N.
Love going to Kinn during my work lunch breaks. Service is always good and I;ve yet to have a bad dish here. Recommend this place for those working in Brisbane CBD. The chicken rice is my go-to!
D. L.
Some of the best thai food in the city. Very fast service, great ambience and a very broad menu to choose from. Favorites are the tom yum noodle (hot & sour) chicken noodle soup - absolutely delicious and very good value
R.
The food here had more depth and interesting dishes in comparison to most other Thai restaurants here in Brisbane that were both pricey and overly westernized. The Thai milk tea was no good though, too thick, powdery and sweet. Stick with Chatime.
V. F.
Best Thailand restaurant I’ve tried in Brisbane. They are a little bit on the sweet side with their dishes but the food is unreal and definitely worth it.
S. D.
Food was so fresh and presented beautifully. Staff were nice and took our order quickly. Didn't wait long for food at all. Very busy with a line up but still enjoyable.
J. P. V.
We should get sponsored by this place, we go at least 3 times a month and always bring people with us to make them try how absolutely delicious it is! Hahah nah honestly is by far the best and most thai traditional like restaurant we have …
l. g.
A good, authentic Thai eatery. The decor is great - reminded me of my trips to Thailand. Friendly and prompt service. I had Pad Thai and my sister had Combination Papaya Salad. Both were enjoyable. My Lime Thai Tea was delicious. Would …
M. B.
Always good value for money... I took a Thai friend with me ... she really enjoyed it
P. P.
Lunch was amazing. Tasted like an authentic Thai food. The price wasn't so bad ($12-13). Staffs are helpful and friendly. Definitely be back again!
L. M.
Not many selections choice and no dessert menu due to Covid19 perhaps?
J. W.
Great Thai food. Order roast chicken thigh: TOP marks for being tender and delicious, my kid loves them. Tom yum soup comes
With generous amount of fresh prawns. Papaya salad is a generous size too. Portion are huge and most importantly authentic.
T. Z. L.
Very delicious food. Feel happy, strongly recommend.
C. C.
Fresh coconut drink is available there, and is my favorite drink order. Cause i found the thai coffee and milk tea is way too sweet for me, and they can't adjust it..cause is already pre-made.
o. p.
Boat Noodles is delicious. Thick and tasty soup. Nice set up of the restaurant. 5% discount if pay by cash.
G. A. G.
The best Thai place in Brisbane no doubt
J. O.
The goodness was there, but not greatness. Definitely more balanced flavors then other Thai restaurants where sweetness is the prominent profile.
G. M.
Fantastic Thai street food, it brought some many memories of my time in Thailand. Can’t wait to eat there again.
M. B.
Love this place remind me back home very homey place warm and you can set back and relax like you home .❤️❤️❤️
S. M.
Great little Thai place in the heart of the CBD of Brisbane. The Tom Yum soup was amazing as were the satay chicken skewers.
s. s.
Can choose to have dishes not spicy to 10 chili spicy, we had papaya salad at 6 chili, it was really hot but really yum!
M. H.
Lively place with great food, gets very busy around lunch time on weekdays so be prepared for a short wait. The wait is worth it though!!! The food is delicious and the staff ate wonderful.
a. w.
Great selection of authentic Thai food. Try the satay chicken and the soft shell crab. Watermelon and Peach slushee was great as well.
D. C.
Excellent Thai and Issan style cuisine. Genuine and authentic flavours. Great service and atmosphere. One of the better Thai restaurants in Brisbane.
M. T.

J. W.
Standard Thai food. A bit exy for Thai. Nice decor.
K.
I had a thai hotpot here. It’s was fabulous. The taste was exactly right even it’s too spicy for me. I would definitely recommend here.
G. B.
Definitely the most authentic tasting Thai food I've had in Brisbane. Went with my wife three times within 24hrs :)
T. P.
Byo wine. No prawns when we went which was disappointing. Fishcakes are lovely.
R. T.
The food is good,
Just kitchen staff should observe proper and clean food handling
C. L.
Food use to be really delicious and consistent!
I'm not sure if they changed owners recently, but the menu changed and the quality seemed to have dropped a little.
0. a.
The food is good but I hope them to improve their customer service skill. I don't like that they bring our mains out at different times and I don't want to see the kitchen staff eating food while standing and cooking at the kitchen counter.
B.
Serves nice dog meat with bok choy and rice. Not gonna lie, the cat meat tastes similar to chicken.
M. W.
Amazing food. Only issue is with parking. You have to either book your parking to make sure you get a parking for a cheap price. Otherwise it would be costly. But the restaurant is great!
R. A.
Consistently good! Great food, quick service, concise menu and lunch specials. You may even forget that you are in Brisbane!
N. S.

L. M.
Not many selections choice and no dessert menu due to Covid19 perhaps?
B. G.
Ordered there on two separate visits to Brisbane. Speaks volumes about the food.
M. H.
Very authentic Thai Food!!! But restaurant too crowded and tad noisy
C. B.
Had the orange duck, a little bit to over salted for my liking and the duck a little tough. Reasonable priced food and drink.
N. t.
Food tastes.... Really depends on the day. Some staff there should reconsider working in this type of service industry.
S. P.
