Engaging and thoughtful. The food was, loosen my belt, spectacular. Real foie gras served warm in a twist of sweet snd savoury that just bursts with joy in my mouth. Opted for a little tasting of a few dishes with matched pairings, I let the host choose with his wisdom. Adding this to the list of go-to haunts.

We celebrated our Anniversary and went to the perfect place. Chef Ronaldo and his team are the best. As a special request, he prepared for us a "Chateaubriand". The best we ever had in our life. He even choose a very nice bottle of French Red Wine for us and everything match "heavenly" together. Thank you and your whole team for spoiling us on our special day.

Came here for a birthday lunch on a Wednesday, very quiet lunch service. Our table is right next to the window which has an incredible view of the river and the Story Bridge. The foods are okay but not exceptional. Good portion and reasonable price though. The waiter was very friendly and professional. But I won’t be rushing back.

I booked for a birthday dinner in the restaurant by googling it and reading the nice reviews. As we got closer to restaurant and saw it, my first thought was if we could just go to another restaurant and I would have done it for sure if the birthday cake wasn’t arranged on La Vue! Once we entered the restaurant at 7pm, we saw an old ugly, dark interior design. There was no other customers and no music for at least 10 mins which wasn’t a good welcome and vibe at all. All in all, I’ll give one star for the interior and exterior design and the vibe. The guy who looked after us was kind and caring but probably a little bit too caring which I don’t blame it cause it’s the way of ‘fancy’ restaurants! During our dinner, we could hear the loud not nice words of staff in other language which we could understand. So, I will give a 3 star for the staff. The food was as good as I should expect from a French restaurant with a good complex flavour and some technics in presentation. The chef provided a ‘cake’ using simple stuff with couple of ours notice which was impressive. So, I will give the 5 star for food. All in all, the 3 star would be a fair review for our experience.

I had dinner there last night. The wait staff were exceptional, as was the food. We were lucky enough to be seated at Table 1 and the view of the Story Bridge and the city generally was spectacular. I couldn’t fault the service or the ambience, this restaurant is first class.

Brilliant fine-dining place. I was craving for lobster bisque and we found reviews directing to here. It’s indeed fabulous, heavenly I would say. I was so tempted to get a second serving. Oysters are nice as well. It’s refreshing but there were a little shell bits in it though, so be careful. Steak was nice, claimed by my boyfriend. Fish was unique, I’d say. It had the taste of the river water, but not very much to my liking. But given it’s price tag, I think it’s good enough

Have to say the service level of the staff was excellent. So good job guys. The views are spot on, I guess the restaurant name speaks for itself. The mains were nice, however it was pricy. I think if you going to charge the amount on the menu, the food has to blow me away. Nice but now amazing. The side of veggies are really not pleasant. Don't even know why you serve it. The noisette lamb.. it's nice however no hint of noisette in the dish, also the piece of beetroot on the plate, doesn't belong. Almost looks lost on the plate.

Great delicious food and excellent service. I'm impressed when we said we want to share the entree and dessert, usually other restaurants just give you an extra plate and cutlery but they divided it into two set of half portion with proper plating, awesome.

Our group of five dined there on a Thursday night to celebrate a Birthday. The restaurant was approximately two thirds full but because of the interior design there was no noise from other diners. We were greeted at the door by the Owner and a waiter and they could not have been more pleasant considering what you have to do now because of COVID-19. Although wearing a face mask, the French waiter quite clearly explained the specials and drinks were delivered post-haste. There was no pressure to order quickly so we ordered Entrees, which I must say were superb, giving us more time to chat and compare the different main courses. Again the meals arrived quickly and were delicious. People complain about the higher price but, isn’t so nice to go somewhere these days where you can have Fine Dining, excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere, no “loud mouth” groups and no couples with babies in strollers. Sorry, I might be in the older generation group, but it’s great to remember how things used to be. I’ll be back. Robbo. Brisbane.

Don’t let the decor fool you. It’s a little dated but but that’s the look a believe they are going for. Classic French. There is a reason this restaurant is rated no 1 of fine dining restaurants with a view on trip adviser. Food and service outstanding. The view is without parallel, on the river in an historic precinct. Wait staff are exceedingly polite, professional and helpful. Ambience is refined, if somewhat anachronistic. Music is delightfully quaint and it is possible to have a discreet conversation. Menu is accordingly French, not modern, but extremely gluten free friendly. Wine list is eclectic. Most enjoyable, desserts were a treat. We recommend for a romantic evening.

The service was reasonable and the food came out quickly (went on a Monday night so it was quiet), some of it was delicious and reasonable for the price but I expected better quality steak. However compared to similar restaurants on Eagle St it has an old, raggedy feeling as the furniture looks like it hasn’t been repaired or replaced in 40+ years, I’ve seen better quality bathrooms in dive bars. I feel like I can get equally good food and service in a much nicer restaurant for the same price.

I still think about the roast duck risotto that I ordered a few months ago for a birthday party that was held here. Have never had anything like it, amazing. Good vibes, the staff are French, so it feels authentic and almost like you’re in France. The location is on the river, so lovely views accompany your dinner too.

If you adore good food, no gimics, and great service, then La Vue is for you. I absolutely loved it and will be going again whenever in Brisbane. This is classic French cuisine, served with an equal measure of classic, perfectly timed hospitality. You are fused over but not to the point of annoyance and guests are never neglected. The good news is this is a great location with fantastic views. The waiting staff are excellent and very courteous & professional. The prices are high and unfortunately the quality of the food is not up to the pricing. It is well presented but somewhat boring and a little bland - need to see some excitement in the dishes for this pricing. The flavours seem basic and dated. For the pricing, French bread & butter s/b served. BTW, can you please change the music - only 1 song playing over and over in a continuous loop.

Wow is all I can say! Not only were we overwhelmed by the friendly staff and proprietor making us feel right at home, but the food was spectacular with amazing flavours. I can honestly say I have never had as good an eye fillet steak with its amazing rich sauce, and the desert was heavenly. The crew I was with all felt the same. I can’t speak highly enough and I will be taking my wife for our 10 year anniversary, over and above all other restaurants in Brisbane! Don’t shy away because of pricing because it was worth every cent..

For some reason i had a vertigo attack and almost thought i had to leave after about 15mins. Fresh air worked a treat to relieve it thank goodness. Food was good and the chef was friendly. They took our order down wrong multiple times and then gave us passive aggressive attitude when we asked for our correct order. I think they found the paperwork halfway through proving we were right cause they improved their attitude towards the end. Service definitely isn't up to the standard I would expect for a restaurant of that cost.

The decor reminds me of a 3 star hotel restuarant/art gallery with some unusual art works on the wall for sale. Ambience was lacking and could have been better had they dimmed the lights a bit and it could help diners see through the window and admire the view rather than a reflection of the people behind me. I had the pork medallions and found them to be tasty at best but not as good as expected.
