What a great choice!!!! Last night I celebrated my 60th birthday dinner party at Medley. The table looked fabulous! Food was fantastic, the taste, the quality, presentation and details. Memorable atmosphere. The attention was very personal, efficient and friendly. Nick was very attentive to our requirements. Marguerite the manager of the restaurant discussed with me very single detail of dinner and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

What a beautiful secret garden tucked away on the side of the brisbane river. It was such a relaxing place to have breakfast under the shade. I had no idea what a Welsh rarebit was but I ordered it all the same as it was delicious. So lucky to find this gem whilst visiting brissie and out for a morning walk.

Very good. Great atmosphere and views of the river. Great place to start the day before taking a nice walk under the bridge and through the parks. My breakfast was delicious although - quite expensive?! It was the most expensive on the menu at $24 so admittedly there were cheaper option but it's a sign of the times when you pay $24 for avocado, corn fritter and 2 eggs without blinking 😬. It tasted great but on review I'd probably check out a few cheaper options next time. I'm sure they're just as nice. Would we go back? Absolutely, this is a really top spot in inner Brisbane.

Great place with amazing river view Visited this joint on a saturday afternoon looking for a cafe to work at ended up spending 3+ hrs at Medley. Was a lil hard to find and parking is slim, but it was aptly compensated by superb service, views and food. The staff were super nice and happily accommodated unusual request for an iced coffee without ice. The food menu is unique with world cuisine offerings, i tried the salad which was delicious. The beautiful view was complimented with soothing live music.

Excellent food, service, atmosphere and location. Expect to pay between $19 and 28 for a main at breakfast - we had the ratatouille & egg, crab omelette, smashed avocado. All above average in taste. Parking however, can be a challenge.

Great view infront of the water, no building block the view, mocktail is the 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 I have ever had!! I will definitely come back for that! Food was a bit average, fish was not fresh enough.... good thing is, its dog friendly restaurant! Waitress even gave me 2 water bowls for 2 dogs, very sweet 😄 and they are friendly to my dogs too!

Had my husbands birthday party here and it was fabulous. We took over the whole restaurant and the food was excellent, the service outstanding and the venue was just perfect. Love that it is so private and beautiful looking right onto the river. Nick was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great function spot.

This was our first visit to Medley and we will definitely be back! It has a fantastic vibe that really showcases Brisbane’s outdoor lifestyle and in a very classy way. The staff were all very friendly and attentive from our arrival to departure. Although the seasonal menu (dinner) isn’t large, you are sure to find several dishes that will be difficult to choose from. The food was outstanding. This is now one of our faves in Brisbane and would be ideal for bringing people who are visiting our city.

Fantastic painting experience at the recent Dine & Paint, sadly the meal was average at best. Nice fish ruined by too much butter & presentation (on mashed potatoes no other veg which meant it was very pale fish on off-white potatoes which was visually unappealing) Taste was OK. Staff were excellent & fresh rolls were also excellent. Music was fine but too loud/unnecessary given we were trying to listen to what our painting instructor was saying.

Initially the specific table I requested wasn’t reserved but the staff asked the people at the table if it was OK for them to move and all was good from them on. The food and service was very good. The selection of mains was small: venison, rack of lamb, snapper and a vegetarian dish. I would have liked something a bit different in addition, maybe a pasta dish or paella for variety.

Medley restaurant was our first choice to celebrate one of my dear girlfriends 40th breakfast. Perfect location on Brisbane river. We were greeted with a smile and the table was ready for 25 ladies for a Sunday session. We were all presented with a card where you could pay and add things to your account. The coffee and drinks were on time. The food was amazing and warm. We were allowed to have some time to celebrate by bringing our own cake and have some time to open the prezzies. It was a great morning. Thank you Nick and staff. Our beautiful waitress had all of the orders right and never forgot about us. This is such a must visit place. Hidden gem in Brisbane and worth a visit. I will be back for sure

Medley - 05/01/2021 “Asian Omlette” & “Bacon & eggs” Staff here are great, we were lucky to get a great table as walk ins. Coffee was incredible & the food was unbeatable, they had some great & out of the box options but my partner decided to go with just basic bacon & eggs. My Asian omelette was so tasty, heavy for a breakfast item but hit the spot! The views & atmosphere are stunning! Food - 10/10 Staff - 10/10 Environment - 10/10 Overall Combined - 10/10

The lamb special really was special, it was juicy, delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. We had a table for ten on wednesday evening sitting on the deck, fortunately the wind had dropped and had a terrific evening. We have chosen the Medley to have dinner there to honour my mum's live who's funeral was held at the same time in Europe. The festive atmosphere there and the closeness to the river got me to book the place. I was more than excited to see that they have venison on the menu. It is a rare find here in Australia and was my mum's favorite. Not just that it was cooked to perfection. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Went for breakfast on our marriage anniversary. Frankly, was a bliss to be there. They take online reservations and got the option to choose special occasions. They made sure to reserve the best table for us, with the best river view. Staffs were very friendly and their warm hospitality won our hearts. It was an extremely hot and humid morning today, still they served with a winning smile on the face. The savoury crepe was just perfectly made. Parking could be a bit of a challenge, as there's not too many spots onsite. However, managed to get road-side parking. Surely, one of the best spots in and around Brisbane for breakfast. Highly recommended.

The view of the restaurant is phenomenal. It really can't find anywhere that has better view than this place in Brisbane especially at night time. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The food part, no thousands of item on the menu(which you really shouldn't have too many item on the menu anyway ( for you to pick but everything you are picking is definitely worth of trying. On the other hand, if you not fancy anything spicy, make sure you let the chef knows. It takes a bit of time and effort to fully understand the chef's creation, but when you do get it, you will be amazed by how much creativity they put inside. Price wise was bit of expansive, but consider the location, it's 100% understandable. Sum it up , 5/5 for location 5/5 for presentation 4/5 for food 4/5 for price 5/5 for service 10/5 for view 😉

Dining here was wonderful experience for the girls and I. We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch with the view of the calm river . The staff were very friendly and welcoming and recommended great dishes for us to try. If you are after something a little more lighter than the Medley Sunrise, we highly recommend their Eggs Ratatouille and the Market Fresh dishes. To finish off with something a little naughty, their Irish Cream and Passionfruit Elixir is a definite yes! We look forward to returning again, thank you for the great experience.

Beautiful cafe/venue situated close to the river. We've ordered 2 flat white coffees, but 1 half strength for me. But, have to make my coffee 3 times as it is not flat enough and half of it is foam, but my partner ask for extra cold milk and it never been provided. 😐. Not what I expected. Parked on the street, but realised there are quite a few car parks there for the restaurant itself. Even though it was a really warm day, it was very pleasant outside by the river. I had the barramundi which exceeded expectations. Great location overlooking the river. We were also able to get a spot in their parking lot. However, if you want to make sure to see the river from your table, you need to book ahead or else you might end up sitting at the entrance like we did even though we arrived before they take lunch orders. The meals were delicious, but required a bit more seasoning. Unrelated to food: the restaurant had two partition walls left against the entrance wall, which were seemingly not secured. Due to the blowing wind, one of them fell right on the empty chair of our table (luckily). The staff came, picked it up, and put it back where it was without securing it.

The environment consisting of a lot of plants with a riverfront view was lovely, the animal accessibility was quite nice. The staff were friendly and attempting to be accommodating especially during COVID 19 However; this is where the hospitality ended. It was hot as our booking was for 12:30pm, I arrived just after noon. I was not given a menu (Drinks or Food) until I had to request such. I had to ask twice for a dog bowl, ended up using my own glass to give my dog some water before the poor thing would pass out. Eventually provided dirty dog water from another couple that had just left. In conjunction i had informed 2 different wait staff that i have still no received my coffee. I had to use my own water to fill the dog bowl resulting in my not having water. Then had to ask for two more cups with ice (as our booking was for two), and was given water with no ice. I had to ask a third time for ice. Tally: 3 for ice, 2 for menus, 2 for dog bowl, 2 for coffee. Its as if they just say yes and never do it? or forget? I'm really confused, maybe they just forgot my table? who knows. Anyways; THANK THE HEAVENS the food was good. reasonably priced. pickled veg was a big sad and disappointing (need to increase vinegar in house ratio) aside from that a reasonable spending per head. House rose was a win also.

We had a special birthday celebration with 15 ladies for lunch yesterday and the event was made memorable by the wonderful service by Mr Fox and the whole team. Then they settled their tab at the need which included their food from an affordable set menu and their drinks. The food was wonderful and they served our own birthday cake beautifully. I went there for dinner with my husband. I made the booking online and I specifically mentioned in the notes that it's our first time at Medley and it's also a birthday celebration dinner, and I asked if possible to be seated at a table with river views. Getting there we were greeted casually from afar by a guy asking us if we had a reservation, then made his way to us to check us in on his Ipad/phone, then offered us the table at the entrance while the restaurant was almost empty. Otherwise, he also showed us a table for 2 near the bar or kitchen entrance. Looking at all the free tables with views to the river (including the open-bar one overlooking the river walk) I asked if possible to find something for us over there, and after a couple of "no, those are all booked for bigger groups" he showed us to a corner table with the views that we wanted. When I say "he showed us to the table" I mean to say that he pointed to the table where we should go sit (once again, no courtesy in his gesture). 👎 However, not a great start for our first experience at Medley isn't it. 😐 It set us in a mood that we couldn't shake off for the rest of the evening, the more so as we thought Medley to be a world-class restaurant in a premium location in Brisbane. Food was ok, but we thought is was pricey for the available options and portions. Service was ok too, I wouldn't write home about it though.

Confit duck - duck was nice, but potatoes were not at all crispy and served with 6 beans, that's it. Still hungry afterwards so ordered a piece of orange and almond meal cake. Normally would expect an orange cake made on almond meal. No taste of orange at all, dry, hard and no sign of almond meal, just flour. Inedible. I took it back and said it was inedible, no sorry, no offer of another piece of cake. Great view but won't be going back.

Medley is our local cafe. Located in one of Brisbane's most beautiful riverside spots, they offer everything from a delicious cup of coffee to a fantastic dinner experience. However, in this review I would like to thank the owner and the staff for their most wonderful response during the time of the COVID crisis. Under emergency government regulations the cafe and restaurant had to close, but Nick transformed the space into a fresh market. This meant he could continue to provide us with excellent takeaway food and coffee, but he also provided a cozy and warm local spot where we could get all the essentials that all supermarkets were running out of. The twilight markets and the new garden were lovely and sweet additions - a true oasis for the local community. Fantastic work!

Gorgeous location - but was not impressed with my vegetarian dish. It sounded nicer than it was. I expected some sort of curry - with the veg cooked in it and rice on the side. The selection of veg were sitting on top of a rather bland sauce and were quite dry. The whole dish was bland. If you are charging the same as for a decent portion of meat then it needs to at least be tasty. Service was very nice, but we also had issues with splitting the bill. Not all had brought cash. That needs to be more prominent on your website. We were transferring money online to one person while still at the table - as it was a social meetup group. Won’t be rushing back unfortunately.

The food was good quality and tasted great, it also came out quite quickly which was also good. Now for the bad, if you're going to serve coffee please make sure your make it as asked for, a warm coffee normal means that the person doesn't want it got so they can drink it straight away, the coffee we ordered was so hot that we had to put ice in it to cool it down, the waiter wrote down warm as we made a point of it and she she said no problem. Also you didn't have two items from your already small breakfast menu which was disappointing as we had to them pick something else each time. No avocados, if it's on tort menu you should have plenty of stock? 😞 All in all it was a nice place with an amazing view of the Brisbane river..

Great relaxing “date night” atmosphere right on the Brisbane river. The open floor plan is amazing and you get a great vibe just seeing the restaurant. Service: not as bad as the other reviews, but was a bit lacking in details at times (did not get our bill, had to walk up to pay for our dinner, which isn’t much of an issue but something that is expected with higher end restaurants). Entree: duck pate - the details of the plate didn’t match the information given on the menu... 6/10 entree on taste Mains: the eye fillet and salmon specials were amazing. No complains, fast to come out and tasted fresh and with fantastic flavours. Dessert: bit of a miss. Did not enjoy the frangelico affogato (strong flavour, price did not match the dessert offering) and the special was a little bit awkward with the herb semifreddo and fib/carmel sauce. Overall good experience (particularly the location!) but food was a miss at times for the price paid. Would come again after trying other restaurants. I suggest that photos of the desserts/mains in the menu would help customers choose their foods!

A Great Spot on the waterfront at Kangaroo Point. Many Times we've walked by and not tried out their wares. Big mistake. Today we Order Barramundie for lunch from the short but sweet MEDLEY Menu. On a scale 1 to 10 it was easily a good 12. On top of the great food, the staff was cordial and very pleasant in manor and to the eye. You can't go wrong putting MEDLEY on your To Go list.

Great place to rest on la long stroll along the kangaroo Point board walk, or as a destination itself. The kangaroo cliffs break into spectacular colour during Jacaranda season.
