Comments of Mirchh Masala
Y. A.
quite surprised by how good Mirchh Masala was!! a food court style restaurant on top on a indian grocery shop, quite the gem!
you find your own seat and order at the counter, they pass you a buzzer and you grab the food~ quite shocked at how cheap the food is, and how much you get for a great price!
i’m not really a big fan of indian food but every everythinggggg we ordered was delicious!!!
they are very generous in the curries and sauces they give on the side~
staff here are pretty friendly and helpful!~
love how there’s a indian grocery shop right under, bought some food after our dinner~
overall, an amazing experience! really really do recommend trying, especially if you like indian food!!

Came for a rapid antigen test but they had run out, so decided to grab some samosa while we were there. Hands down the best samosa in Brisbane. 4 for $10 was a steal, plus so much sauce to go with it. They were fragrant and full, and the pastry was perfectly flaky and buttery. Thank goodness they didn't have the RAT's, cos we wouldn't have tried the samosas!
F. S.
Very affordable vegetarian restaurant with delicious food. The supermarket is really well stocked. I didn't see any disabled access for the restaurant which is up a long flight of stairs. They have a sink in the restaurant plus clean toilets. Kid friendly with kids menu.
B. T.
Had no idea what to expect but "Indian street food" sounded interesting. Ordered the Thali which is an Indian platter including: two curries, one lentil dish, flat bread, rice, a dollop of pickles, and a sweet syrupy dumpling.
I asked for mild and could eat most items, but one of the curries was too spicy for my palate. I tried the pickle but it was too strong. The lassi yoghurt drink was yummy.
Even though I couldn't eat everything it was a great experience to try something different and I would go again. Good value for the price.
C. H. P.
Great place for vegetarian street food from India. We are a regular now 🤪
V. S.
Never fails to disappoint u with Indian Street food! One of the best places in Brisbane for Pav bhaji and Chole.
M. T.
Ordered most things on the menu and they all taste incredibly tasty. The quantity and price of the foods were also adeqaute.
I especially enjoyed their nimbu soda, which tastes very authentic!
A. P. R.
Amazing, traditional, vegetarian Indian food. There are many different dishes and it doesn't sell alcohol. 15.50 for the big tray that we choose some options.
S. S.
Good tasty indian food. This is exclusively vegetarian food place. I heard about this place before but this is my first time visiting. The food is tasty but a little expensive. I would definitely recommend this place.
J. P.
Best Indian food in Brisbane. Price is well worth it, 100% vegetarian with a massive menu. Excellent casual dining atmosphere and friendly staff.
N. M.
One of the best Indian restaurant in Brisbane. Staff is friendly and food are delicious!
A. D. C.
Very delicious and satisfying. Would definitely recommend.
R. K.
WOW!!! This is just like 🏠 🇮🇳.
Food is delicious and consistent. My husband has been here for 11 years and this first place in Australia that we have found real chapati 🫓. Thin, soft and fresh!!
Of course the decor could do with a spring clean and updated but then it could lose its charm. Highly recommend!
G. S.
Fantastic Dosa Masala. If you haven't tried this South Indian classic you are in for a treat. Best Dosa I have had outside of India.
R. P.
As we entered in the restaurant we were not expecting such a good food just because of not so good service and sitting area. Please do not get me wrong but there Three stars ⭐️ for the food only. Yes we loved food here. It was really very testy and different from some other restaurants just because we ordered No Onion No Garlic items. Every one loved it and we really enjoyed our meal. Thank you 🙏🏻
E. S.
Cannot describe enough of this place. Meets requirements of a Nepali family along with many other communities. High quality stuff along with food and taste!
I would request for its branch on South-west side of Brisbane, please.

Quality, Quantity and Fresh
This place will never let you down when it comes to Taste and Quantity. May it be a late night curry cravings or just another homely meal.... Delicious is what comes to mind from the very first bite of their delicately cooked vegetarian curries. Heck, it even made me question a lot of other so called authentic Indian Restaurants.
Mirchh Masala keep it up because not only you have me as your permanent customer evert time I'm in Brisbane but this goes to all the people who are longing for a deliciious home cooked meal that remind you of back home.
Thank you for making my hotel quarantine in Brisbane a memorable experience.
Regards,
Monty

Brilliant all vegetarian Indian restaurant that's excellent for snack foods. Dahi Puri is excellent, and the Chole Bhatura is fantastic
V. P.
Really tasty and fresh food. Authentic just like back in India. But the ambience of the place could be better. Spotlights hitting your eyes every angle. Would be nice if you got some help from a lighting and decor consultant. Otherwise awesome place to catch a quick bite
M. C.
Went there to try chole bhature as I heard it's one of the best. Honestly nothing spl. It was ok. Tried bhalla papdi, samovar, dosa and paav bhaji. Ok food. Ample space to sit and dine.
Parking was a bit hard to find as it was weekend.
H. g.
Place is good. Ideal place to shop and have good Indian crusine. It has ample of car parking. Vegetables are very fresh plus the grain available are good quality. We can choose quantity of grain as per need. You can find all the things needed for workship.
Sweetshop is good where you can find good sweets to satisfy your taste buds.
Restaurant is upside where Indian crusine is ready to knock your tummy. Punjabi dish are best you will surely like it. Chat item are good. I recommend you to visit once at this place. This is complete shop for day to day need as well as to satisfy your Indian taste buds.
J. M.
Omg I have recommended Mirchh Masala to.so many people and today was my first visit...such a funky place...totally wonderful Indian street food..can't wait to go back !!
E. T.
I accidentally found this place after driving past it for ages. You walk through an Indian supermarket right to the back and walk up a set of stairs to go to this place. A secret place.
After I went a couple of times, I usually go here to have a good vegetarian Indian meal. We usually go for a thali and a Chole bhature.
The thali is a combo of a few different curries, bread, yoghurt, pickles, onions and a very sweet dessert. You can pick the curries and they are pretty good.
The chole bhature are a couple of bread balloons served with a chickpea curry. The first time we had this, it was quite a spectacle. Once again very yummy.
The clientele seem to be mostly Indian, so they must be doing something right.
S. G.
When it comes to Indian street food it is pretty difficult to find the right taste and feel in Brisbane but not at Mirchh Masala. This place has the most tasty Indian snacks in their grocery department and mouth-watering street food in their restaurant.
t. b.
Excellent range of Indian foods. The restaurant upstairs has delicious vegetarian cuisine in a family friendly environment.
The mango lassi is delicious.. yum
M. M.
Fantastic veggo Indian street food upstairs and everything you could possibly need in the supermarket downstairs.
S. B.
The best indian food I've had in Brisbane. The only place I would go to Indian food.
Y. F.
I love this place. Real authentic vegetarian Indian food
The flavour is fantastic, the prices are cheap and the vibe is great to dine in.
A hidden gem in Brisbane and a must go for a delicious and family friendly lunch
R. M.
Good quality Indian street food. Best you can find in Brisbane from my experience as someone born in North India and is hard to satisfy
M. J.
Delicious!! Indian grocery store downstairs. If you go up the stairs to the far left of the store (not the stairs in the middle, they will take you to a random store room, oopsy), you will find the food court area. Had thali and a mango lassi. The food was amazing. And mango lassi was thick and tasty. Highly recommend!
S. H.
Food is really tasty here and the service is amazing as you are always greeted with a smile. Indian grocery below the restaurant most of the essentials. Will definitely keep coming back!
Y. L.
Convinent Street food store reasonablely priced. More cheese on the food next time please :) couldn't find any cheese on cheese Dabali.
S. M.
It’s a low end budget dining experience but the food is good.
You’ve got to walk through the Asian supermarket to get there.
Find your own table.
Order at the counter and collect a buzzer and wait. Don’t forget to collect your (delicious) mango lassi from the fridge beside the counter.
The food is delicious and unlike many south Asian restaurants the various dishes all taste distinctive and delicious.
It’s all vegetarian.
It’s really quite cheap.
N.
Nice store. You'll find almost everything you need. Taking away one star because the restaurant is unnecessarily too loud and i can never find the bindis (small plain red ones) and alta in the store.
C. F.
Great vegetarian restaurant in Woolongabba. Conveniently located above a grocery store. Good dosas and chole bhature. Service is friendly and they've responded to all our requests.
R. S.
Good place for Indian groceries with really reasonable prices.
Restaurant is good to visit for authentic food.
Parking available.
A. J.
Probably the best Indian street food I've ever had in Brisbane. I would particularly recommend the pav bhaji and Chole bhature, despite the fact that the extra pav and bature costs $2, which I believe it’s over the odds. All of the food was fresh and delicious, and the portion sizes were adequate. Customer service is outstanding. Definitely worth a try.
M. V.
Delicious ... their signature dish is a kind of mashed samosa that is something you must try, all the curry that came with the thali were flavoursome .. I wasn’t a big fan of their pita but the rest of the dish made up for it.. I’ll definitely will be back
D. R.
I love the pan puri and samosas here. Looking forward to trying their Thali plates when I am back in Brisbane.
V. T.
Delicious fresh tasting food, and good variety. The interior is spacious with natural light from large windows
V. P.
You will love it after eating Chhole Bhature. That's the best. Parking is mostly available.
N. C.
What a hidden jem! I only found this place because an Indian friend told me. Perfect dosa and other food! Staff were friendly and place was clean. It's more like a shopping centre food court setting so not for romantic dinners. But for every other night of the week perfect!
B. G.
This is my go to shop for Indian groceries. But today I was very disappointed to see none of the shopkeepers were wearing masks where it is mandatory. Some customers were roaming inside without their masks. I felt so uncomfortable that I drove to a different shop.
s. k.
My friend ordered food for a small party. Really good taste. Good food, good people, good service.
a. p.
Had a lunch there. Paneer sabji without paneer that's miracle experience for me I think it might be mine last experience at this place. Even dal tadka is comes without takda and normal dal is there. Average food is there in expensive rate..
A. K.
The ladies on the front counter here are so incredibly kind, patient and helpful when it comes to choosing a menu item. Each and every time, very welcoming.
D. T.
Delicious Indian street food, friendly staff and affordable rate.
S. R.
Good food. Long wait tho. The place has a nice ambience. There's an Indian store downstairs as well.
A. R.
The food is great. Come here for a cheap, hygienic and tasty meal. Good portion sizing for the price of food and the staff are helpful.
N. C.

C. M.
The place has good options but I didn't like the aura
Z. H.
Great food and really good service. Pricing is very reasonable and serving sizes are awesome!
A. c.
Did not have the chance to go and eat but it did smell so good got hungry 😋
V. N.
Delicious food with variety of choices. The thali as well is custom made per your choice. And recommend the Fallooda definitely
D. S.
Food was good but they have to focus on cleaning
M. K.
Ordered 2 times from Uber. Authentic indian street taste.
S. A.
Worth trying North Indian foods. Do not try idly, dosa or vada. The coconut chutney was made out of something which I never saw before anywhere else in India or outside. With dosa they gave me raita when ordered and only thing that was edible was the Sambar.
Vada pav was really good! Brought back memories! 😇
Coming over to customer service, the faces of the employees are completely angry/not welcoming. It’s as if they are doing us a favour by serving us and don’t want us there for too long.
Recommendations:
1. Team workshop? Motivate your employees
2. Find out how to make coconut chutney first please (Speak with a South Indian chef or contact dosa hut people) this is a honest recommendation and not sarcasm!
Hope you will improvise these in the coming near future! :)
B. K.
So authentic, we love the dosa's! Love this place! Such a hidden gem!
A. J.
I’ve been here a few times
Experience has been good each time
Pros- vegetarian 🌱 restaurant. Reasonably priced food. Not too long of a wait. Taste is good as well
Usually plenty of seating available
Cons - self serve, limited parking. They have a grocery store downstairs as well which often means parking is full.
Good for a casual night out or quick meal. Nothing fancy however
s. h.
Good Indian street food menu, love the faluda.
B. B.
A variety of Indian grocery choices. Restaurant is also a good choice for vegetarians.
M. M.
I love Indian cuisine so much. But this place made me so much disappointed. İt look like it has great design when you go upstairs but when you start ordering foods and being served, I got big shock. The food we paid for is not really matching with the menu and the portion size unfortunately. Staffs are not helping much as well because they say it's fully self service. İ give my three start ratings for the taste of the foods. I am quite happy with the taste of the foods. Menu and the service can be improved I guess. Because it's quite enjoyable place to dine in.
I. S.
What a gem. The food was incredible, so tasty and such a wide selection. Highly recommend this place to vegetarians and anyone who loves Indian cuisine. Big plus is that there is a large grocery store underneath where you can buy essential Indian ingredients.
S. M.
Mirchh Masala is designed like a food court with self service and counter order. The restaurant was full on our visit. There's good selection of street food from North and South of India. We tried Thali, Chole Bhatura, and Paneer Szechuan Dosa. Thali was nice and food tasted like home cooked meal. Bhatura was impressively large and perfectly fluffed. Chole was average at best. Paneer and Szechuan sauce were missing in Paneer Szechuan Dosa. Service staff is friendly and helpful. However, service is slow - be prepared to wait after ordering.
N. G.
This us my all time favourite for chole bature, chats and street food.
H. D.
You can never this place while you are a visitor or living in Brisbane. Veg thali is worth trying along with other Indian street food options. Quality has been really consistent.
Worth trying and I am sure you will end up in revisiting again.
R. T.
I was first taken here by an Indian workmate. Previous experience within indian food was via standard "Australianised" indian restaurants (which I enjoy by the way). The food at Mirchh Masala, however, is far more enjoyable, consisting of a variety of extremely tasty vegetarian dishes. Note that I am not a vegetarian, but I always leave this place fully satisfied, and enjoy the flavours if the food very much. do yourself a favour and go to Mirchh Masala! You won't be disappointed!
P. R. K. x.
Nice place to enjoy some quite time, while you cherish on the good tasty vegetarian dishes they serve.
In the ground floor, they have a massive grocery shop including sweet/snack stall. In the first floor they have this restaurant.
I have been there more than once and enjoyed the dosa there. It’s not pricey, but ok. Good collection of grocery items spread across 7-8 aisles. This shop is right next the Quest hotel, so was very convenient for me to shop here, every time I stayed there.
Would definitely go back there, when I visit Brisbane.
V. N.
Delicious food with variety of choices. The thali as well is custom made per your choice. And recommend the Fallooda definitely
J. R.
One of the best in town for North Indian street food.
G. K.
[ updating this as I had made a mistake and mixed up the palace with another. Applogies].
This is a lovely placement quite an ambiance and great vibes. Though only veg ( and I'm not really a veg person), I love thos place. Never miss the mango lassi. Wify love's the spicy stuff. We both love the tables with the window. Value for money and relatively efficient ordering time. Got decompression all food is made to order coz one time our samosas came piping hot!
Wish the staff was more ablentobexplain what some food items are. When asked about what a certain food is ( yea, there is a basic description + a pic: way better than most other places ) I feel staff should be able to explain a bit more. While Asian, a am not Indian, while the staff is. Overall though its a nice cozy family place. Judging by the crowd most are repeat customers which is a good indication of value for money and taste.
M.
The food in the upstairs food court is very authentic. The customer service is good too, and the place is clean.
I feel that the noise is a bit of an issue. The music is a bit too loud and due to poor acoustics, it causes an annoying echo. I'd give 5 stars for the food but feel that the noise somewhat degrades my dining experience. Unfortunately I can't separate the two here, and given that food is the most important part of a restaurant this will still be 5 stars.
d. s.
Great place for all round Indian Grocery and food..
Z. H.
Great food and really good service. Pricing is very reasonable and serving sizes are awesome!
T. P.
They need to improve the quality of sweets for the price they charge. Not fresh at all.
A. R.
The food is great. Come here for a cheap, hygienic and tasty meal. Good portion sizing for the price of food and the staff are helpful.
D. W.
Great dosa and awesome vada pav!
A. c.
Did not have the chance to go and eat but it did smell so good got hungry 😋
J. D.
I love samosas in this place. Staffs are pretty good and decent. It is good place to hang out with vegetarian friends.
J. S.
As a South Indian, I wouldn't recommend the dosa. The batter is plain and the sambar and chutney just aren't right. The Bhatura and Chaat we had were alright but Dabelli tasted like bread and jam.
K. S.
This place changed its chef and it's happening now.
Prior to couple of months- dosa was not great and curries were sometimes good and sometimes bad.
Now - everything is amazing, dosa tastes lot better. Pav bhaji, vada pav, chola batura, all is good.
Needs improvement in the chaat section except samosa chaat.
Weekend dhokla is to die for!
D. S.
Food was good but they have to focus on cleaning
I. a. a.
They have everything for Indian and Tamil families one star cut for not playing Tamil songs. Friendly staff. Restaurant is a added value to visit the place. Never had parking problem till date. Very Good place.
V. T.
Really good food pav bhaji was mind blowing
I. R. R. R. C.
Best selection of Indian foods I've found on Brisbane.
S.
I love going to Mirsch Masala which is very close to where I live to get some fresh ptoduce, coriander and curry pastes as well as spicy snacks, sweets & incense... great prices, excellent range!!!
D. L.
Great value and range of Indian food on offer. One of the more authentic Indian dining options in Brisbane, all vegetarian and friendly service in a fast paced, no nonsense dining space. Thali and Dosa are highly recommended options for the first timers
a. a.
Best place for Indian street food and groceries.
Huge varieties of Indian Stuff, nowhere else you can find.
Like Karachi biscuits, Chitlebandhoos Bhakarwadi etc.
loved it :)
V. B.
Although this store does keep many Indian goods, please beware that they may be old and therefore outdated stuff. And to top it all, they have a shocking return policy! I bought basmati rice, which when opened, had a very bad smell and also tasted weird. Therefore I took a sample to show them. I also wanted to return another bag of the same rice. After lot of delays, and phoning here and there, they refused to take it back! Their attitude was angry and grumpy as if it was my fault that the rice smelt and tasted horrible! This is shocking and behaviour and maybe acceptable in India but not in Australia where customer satisfaction is important. I was a regular customer but they have now lost me for ever. I don't think i need to spend my money here when there are other shops with better customer service. Therefore please beware when you buy anything here.
K. C.
One of the best place for South Asian grocery in Brisbane.
S. V.
Good Indian street food and fast service. Staff is generally very polite and helpful. Very busy these days but always enjoyed the food here.
A. L.
Unbelievable flavours.. Had a few dishes and they all tasted like heaven! The Samosas I had were divine. Will be a regular there for sure!
O. R.
Very good traditional Indian street foods for vegetarians. If Govindas is a good hang out in South Brisbane, then this is a good hangout for vegetarians in the East Brisbane area.
A. S. V.
Always a great place to dine it. Food quality is great and service is mostly quick. Light on the pocket and gives you a great taste of Indian Street food.
H. S.
Stock an extensive range of grocery items and the sweets are delectable.
B. S.
Brilliant food! I have no special dietary requirements and don't specifically have to eat vegetarian, but I find the food they serve here is more flavoursome and delicious than most dishes that have meat. There's a massive range of food on the menu which honestly for someone not too familiar with the culture can be a bit overwhelming, but absolutely everything I've had has tasted great. Can't wait to try more!
C. M.
The place has good options but I didn't like the aura
J. R.
Good tasty food. The great thing is you can eat and shop at single place and have ample parking. Awesome atmosphere inside the restaurant. Has all required facilities including toilets. The grocery store has all the required items. However there are a couple of issues:
1. Takeaway service is painfully slow. For simple dishes it takes up to 45 minutes. We can see that people dining inside restaurant gets food faster.
2. Some of the staffs are not good at customer service. It costs zero dollar for good smile. The girl served me at checkout in grocery section don’t smile, greet or say thank you and want me to quickly go away. The guy at the restaurant counter also not very good at dealing customers and seems a bit rude.
But overall the the experience is good.
P. K.
Took them forever to serve the order I placed. Though the staff were welcoming and apologized for the delay but 30+ mins for a simple order was just too much especially while orders placed later were serviced fine by others. It was'nt too busy either.
I would have appreciated there sincerity of apology and inconvenience caused to me if they compensated in some form or fashion or in kind than just lip service.
Nevertheless hoping they improve on the service.
A. R.
I really like shopping here for Indian ingredients and always add a samosa to eat on the way home. The restaurant upstairs is definitely worth trying a couple of times as it's normally good, but can be a little variable.
M. J.
Conveniently located (although parking can be a nightmare) this Indian Street Food restaurant serves good reasonably priced food. Good for big groups, or a family night out with loads to choose from and decent service.
Downstairs is a convenient Indian supermarket with all your staple Indian grocery needs. Which is helpful as a one stop shop where you can pick up your monthly Indian spice needs and hop upstairs for a cheeky Chaat.
A. R.
Indian street food that's cheap and cheerful. A solid and tasty limited vegetarian menu. Good for a quick and filling meal.
S. A.
It was a okay experience to buy stuff from here , everything is all right, I visit once a while to pick some stuff and I get it, it's all right.
P. G.
Mirch Masala is the best Indian place in Australia. Staff is so friendly and always served with a big smile. Food is just awesome.
Grocery store has huge variety 😊.
Very happy with their customer service 5/5.
Food is 10/10. 👏👏
Many thanks to the staff and the owner, who provides the best quality Indian street food with love in Australia.
D. W.
Love this place! For everything you need in Indian groceries, and tasty, reasonably priced vegetarian Indian street food. Soooo good!
D. T.

Me love Indian food, I love cannibalism.
M.
The food in the upstairs food court is very authentic. The customer service is good too, and the place is clean. …
S. P.
love this place. great selection and easy parking.
N. g.
Delicious vegetarian Indian food. Tasty and interesting bites that you won't find at an ordinary Indian restaurant. Try it, you won't regret it!
M. S.
I would visit again for tasty, rightly priced vegetarian food.
D. W.
Love this place! For everything you need in Indian groceries, and tasty, reasonably priced vegetarian Indian street food. Soooo good!
S. S. (.
Above average. Service is slow. Took some time to serve.
D. S.
Great customer service.
A. K. S. (.
A good Indian store. Prices have gone up quite a bit off late though. AUD dropping down to 43 against INR was cited as a major reason. But the rates does seem to come down even after AUD being bullish against INR, crossing the 53 mark.
r. k.
Just love their bhaturas the best. Great chaat and food. Always very quick service. Only drawback is going upstairs is hard as no lift or ramp.
P. T.
To much spices used, good place for quick food. Not that great if looking for authentic taste
S. E.
Love this place and it's always full of indians so the food must be authentic. I always get the thali and it never disappoints. The young girl behind the counter is always efficient and helpful. Prices are pretty cheaps also. The shop downstairs has loads of indian products also.
T.
Some of the best Indian food! I love that its all vege! Everything is delicious. Highly recommend the thali for a chance to try multiple dishes
M. G.
Food is exemplary and the drinks are amazingly fun to have after the meal. Friendly staff here too.....🙏👍
B. M.
Good vegetarian Indian food at cheap prices. I would especially recommend the Samosas. This is a hidden gem. You have to walk in the door of the Indian grocery underneath it and then walk all the way over the other side of the shop to the stairs. I live in the area and didn't know it was there because I never looked up.
J. R.
I enjoyed this place so much I went back the day after to try other things on the menus. Highly recommend getting the Chole Bhatura.
A. S.
Great place to buy Indian groceries at a competitive price (don't expect to get the goods at their equivalent Indian MRP though). The Restaurant food was awesome too and tasted very authentic. They surely have got a repeat customer in me.
A. P.
For pure vegetarian Indian food this place has got what you need. I have been coming here for awhile but with the renovations and new decor the place looks much better and they have now EFTPOS facilities so you don't need to pay cash. It's a unique experience to eat here and would definitely recommend it for those wanting an authentic Indian dining experience.
N. g.
Delicious vegetarian Indian food. Tasty and interesting bites that you won't find at an ordinary Indian restaurant. Try it, you won't regret it!
N. B.
Good and authentic north Indian authentic food. Has Indian supermarket downstairs, so shopping and dinner can be done in one go

This restaurant is one of the best 100% vegetarian restaurants I have eaten at in Brisbane. The food is in the Indian street food style. What I like is the consistency of the food. They serve the same quality food every time I've been there.
g. s.
Great collection of indian Groceries
K. G.
Large Indian grocery store selling spices, lentils, rice, frozen vegetables, snacks, utensils, idols. They also have a food court that sells vegetarian indian food such as dosas, street food, thalis, pavs.
J.
They have a very friendly and cooperative staff and management. The food is delicious and a good option for snack lovers (chat etc). They have mastered the bhatura, as they are pretty soft, not oily too. Near and clean, totally loved by kids as they hardly like to eat typical meals😜. Would surely recommend Mirch Masala to everyone.
M. K.
Good place to eat out, the food is tasty (a bit oily but great otherwise). your taste buds will be happy and its just great, a lot of chat options, The grocery shop is great a lot of options but many things more expensive then my local indian grocery shop
T. M. P.
Quality groceries. The Restaurant upstairs provides hygienic, tasty street foods from North India. With crowd favorites such as Panipuri, VadaPav and Masala Chaat foods, Cholae Batura,Dosa all the food served here are vegetarian and some food are Gluten-Free (please check before ordering). They also serve environment-friendly, wooden, recyclable cutleries. We go often and highly recommend this restaurant.
P. S.
Wonderful Aloo Parathas and Dabeli. Food was great, service was good, staff had a smile and friendly nature. A value driven restaurant which offers chaats, parathas and dosa etc. Lots of family and groups were there. Great value for money. There is parking right in front.
i. a.
Will get most of the Indian groceries here and they sell Indian sweets too 😋Well maintained and very professional.
N. P.
Sorry for the late review - I have been enjoying Mirch Masala's food for over 7 years now. Today from deep down I feel like I must write a review. Best food in Brisbane - Street food at its best.
Simply delicious and good service.
H. D. 1.
My steak eating hubby had 2 Chole Batura - 2 lg fried bread and chick pea curry for $12.95. And he loved it and was surprisingly full and satisfied. I had the Thali which was delicious - 3 vegie curries rice chappati papadum lime pickle raita onion and a sweet gulab jamun delicious! Worth $15.99. Well worth it Mircch Masala will defo be on our list of restaurants we visit weekly.
P. B.
Great vegetarian restaurant for a filling meal at great prices. A favourite
M. K. R.
Good collection of Indian groceries but not enough if you are from the south. Also the place can be maintained better. Not a very clean store.
a. k.
Well one of best Indian food served, loved the service very prompt and attentive. My personal favorite - gol gappe, chhole bhature and partha. And will do anything for their rasmalai falooda loved it.
Yes but they should bring more varieties in curries and breads. Overall nice dining experience..
p. k.
Revisited after a long gap, cholle bhature is a must, dahi bhalla papdi chat and a mango shake can be had before and after the bhaturas, value for money and super quality. Not a fine dining place, its a chat outlet and serves the purpose.
G. D.
Great taste, bhature chole was great.
S. H.
Simple place and with basic interiors.
Food is amazing and authentically indian. The food is a probably one of the best in the city.
Prices are quite reasonable as well.
No real negatives on the place except a suggestion that the seating could be a bit better.
D. D.
What a wonderful surprise. We ordered a Thali each, a platter containing a variety of foods ALL of which were an absolute palate party. Will definitely be back.
T. T.
Good place to taste Indian foods but the hygiene is not a top priority we see in there.
S. U.
Good food and price. Probably the most authentically made indian food restaurant in Brisbane. Also great place if you miss indian 'Chats'.
G. B.
Big store in foorspace and larger stock but can be better organized. Got the feeling that the newer store Golgappa had better variety than Mirchch Masala. Went to the store back of their FB advertisement of a popular south Indian brand, but was disappointed to see no pickles nor any ready to eat Grand Sweets products.
There isn't anything popular that you can't find in other stores that you'd find here. Although there were some brands that I've never heard of.
M. C.
Delicious, cheap authentic Indian food. Lots to try with plenty of options available and isn't confined to currys. 100% vegetarian but is super tasty.
J. S.
Best Indian Food in Brisbane. They have retained quality and taste of the food for several years making it the most popular hunting ground among Indian food lovers
v. k.
A good Indian Outlet based in Brisbane for all those Indian food lovers. They have a restaurant above their shop that serves amazing food. Do visit and have your share of Indian love
K.
The restaurant is good my recommendation are falooda, cholebature, veg pulao and masala puri the food is delicious and only vegetarian.
C. “. S.
I'm from Sydney and fly up to Brisbane every few months to visit my family. Every time I come up I MUST stop by Mirchh Masala because there is nothing as great as their food in Sydney or for that matter in the whole of Brisbane. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years now and have watched this restaurant grow in its success. I highly recommend you sit down and order my personal favorite the Sev Puri or Chutney Puri. Full of punch and flavors with every bite this for me is always a memorable experience hence why I always come back. It may be vegetarian but as I say every time I've finished my meal "who needs the meat, I forgot there was none in here". Because it's simply so good! Go Mirchh I'll be back for more 😊❣️
S. M.
Have been regular diners at Mirch Masala over the years. We went last week for our usual meal and I found a large piece of hard plastic in my masala dosa along with a large piece of hair. I brought this to the attention of the staff who apologies and replaced it promptly, however needs to be more care taken in the kitchen how can something like this end up in a meal - be careful
T. T.
Near city, it's no doubt a quality restaurent and indian grocery store. Cleanliness can be improved.
COST
Quite normal compared with quality.
NON VEG
NO. Only veg and quite a range.
T. P.
Learning to cook Indian food. The ladies behind the register helped out with what items are best for newbies. I now go there often. Best samosas i have ever had.
S. R. F.
Authentic Indian, really nice, try the thalli plate to get a feeling of a few of their curries
S. K.
Delicious and authentic Indian food. They also kindly let us bring our own birthday cake in as part of a birthday celebration.
D. S.
Their collection of Indian groceries is very wide and prices are very competitive. The restaurant at first floor has wide range of Indian Street food with authentic North Indian taste.
P. S.
My favourite place to eat indian food... Senpher and Alan are honestly the BEST staff members ever, always helpful always great with my bacha party asking for ice-cream or lollies or to taste test barfi/ladoo or katlis !!!!
Vada Pav here is HONESTLY MY HANDS-DOWN favourite thing on the menu, followed closely by the Dahi Puri - LIKE WOW!
The groceries and the variety of kitchen and cultural stuff is amazing... and you get things here you can't get anywhere else in Brisbane ((amazing packs of shabudana kichdi pre-made mixes heavy on the peanuts - and -delish!!) and the yummiest frozen gujju gota packets))...
Basically this shop is the BEST... but if you're looking for Frozen meats/seafood all that sort of stuff indians also like to buy....then this isn't that kind of grocery shop - This is for those indians that are veg or are mostly veg!! and it is AWESOME! Oh yeah and sometimes they keep really good fresh bindi and lauki too and allllwwaayyss have fresh green chillies!! ... keep it up MMI after the renovations I can't even imagine how awesome this place will be..
R. B.
It's okay to please the Desi taste buds once in a while. Always crowded and even during COVID 19 They completely ignored all social distancing norms.
H. L.
Good options. Great customer service but the wait time can be long at times. Otherwise, good ambience with indian music and has a grocery store below. Quick pit stop for groceries and for indian chaat cravings!
A. S.
Ambiance and cleanliness is average and the stairs to the restaurant are steep. However, once you get to the top 'the best Indian Vegetarian street food' in Brisbane hands down!
D. T.
Best Indian food! Reasonably priced vegetarian (you won't miss the meat) food.
Recommend the Chutney Puri, bite sized puris filled with chick pea & potato curry, chutney and yogurt.
C. G.
This is the best place in town for Indian Street food be it Samosas, chat or the hot favorite PaniPuri. After the renovation it looks much better and welcoming. The staff are friendly and the service is quick.
A. B.
Great place to enjoy the Indian food with wonderful customer service.
V. S.
One place for all Indian things. Indian groceries, vegetables and you could eat snacks or full meal in the restaurant. I love the samosa.
H. P.
Nice place for a quick bite or proper meal. Great service, delicious food. Try vadapaav, mango lassi, Sev puri here. Prices are reasonable. It has an Indian restaurant upstairs and indian groceries downstairs.
S. K. (.
Good place, the restaurant is awesome. Crowded most the time but week customer service. I think its because the audience they already have, customer caring is having some issues.
D. A.
the service is great but there was just too much potato in everything. Perhaps I just ordered wrong, will give it another try.
#. m.
Great range of products and a diverse range of delicious vegetarian food.
A. B. (.
Nice ambience, friendly staff and good food.
V. S.
Yummy food. Much better than other Indian resturants.
A. D.
Authentic Indian street food, very delicious. The place is simple but cozy. Do not order the coke masala though it was pretty disgusting haha
R. N.
Good product range and loyalty card scheme. Prices are food and shelves are well stocked. Parking can be a bit annoying (but that cant be helped).
S. P.
The food was okay, chaats were nice but the parathas were plain.
The amount of disposable cutlery used at the place is shocking especially getting a new styrofoam cup for every glass of water instead of a top up.
Could help the environment with using some reusable materials like water jugs, metal plates instead of serving in takeaway containers, just a thought here.
L. B.
Yummo vego indian, cheap & healthy fast food + indian grocery shop downstairs has so much great stuff!!
R.
You will get most of Indian grossary.
Fresh vegetables.
Store is not clean and not well arranged.
Smells like typical baniya store.
Items are too much over priced comapared to other stores.
Example marrie buisuit for 6 dollars which is 20 Rs in India. In same price you could buy better local products from Wollies or Coles.
I would not travel here unless i cant find item anywhere or would have to come for snacks at Indian street food restro at level 1.
Place offers free parking.
Easy to reach by car or public Transport.
If traveling from City take bus from Adelaide st. 15 min max travel time.
H. P.
Excellent service. And very nice food. Authentic test of Indian food. Highly recommended.
P. K.
The voucher option was good but that should be able to buy other stuff rather than eating in the same company's hotel !
A. G.
The thali was sorta expensive for a vegetarian platter and not especially filling, in my opinion. I also didn't appreciate how self-serve tap water comes from a hand-washing sink. Kudos deserved, however, for being one of the only places open late on a Sunday evening in Woolloongabba.
Z. R.
It's incredible how authentic this place is.
The street food's great, and the grocery store is so Indian.
Even with the new Delights of Paradise opening nearby, this place will always be an Indian favourite in SE Qld.
S. H.
Great place to get everything specifically Indian sweets!! Its too good
K. S.
Very amazing soda. The dosa and chole buture were awesome. Over all the food is amazing!
M. S.
I would visit again for tasty, rightly priced vegetarian food.
A. S.
Best dosa we have ever had in Brisbane. Very authentic flavours and deliciously amazing. We will be coming back.
R. J.
Good place for purchasing Indian groceries. Less South Indian food groceries. Contains more north Indian food groceries. Have not tried the restaurant though.
N. J.
Mirch Masala provides fantastic food and service without any unnecessarily frills. The attention to quality shines through each dish. 10 stars if I could.
s. p.
Good authentic Indian food
J. T.
Really authentic and tasty indian food. The prices are very reasonable and the choices are great. It was a really great meal, the chai was also delicious
R. W. P.
Great range of produce Indian grocery store downstairs. Plus you get to leave with a possible delicious snack! Nice samosas and sweets.
S. B.
Mirch Masala implex is one of the few places where you can find wide range of Indian street food and groceries from India and Nepal.
The upper floor is the vegetarian restaurant where you can find cheap and quality Indian street foods. The ground floor has a huge grocery shop where you can find wide range of Nepalese and Indian foods, spices, sweets, pickles ..
H. v. E.
Best selection of unique herbs and spices that I know of in Brisbane. We still travel here even after moving out to Ipswich because we are almost certainly guaranteed to find what we want...and maybe something new and exciting t'boot!
A. i.
Amazing food amazing grocery shop just on the lower level of the store. Its just that its bit expensive than the rest of the restaurants. Chat is a must try here. Too good
S. F.
Authentic Indian food. Absolutely loved it. Restaurant is a bit tacky and the service leaves much to be desired but that's not why you go here. Go for the food.
S. N.
Really liked the food. There are a lot of indian families about which is a good thing. Although I cant attest to the authenticity of the food it was nevertheless quite tasty.
R. B.
Excellent place for having authentic Indian fast food, which is clean and Hygenic. If you are a tea lover then don't forget to try the authentic Indian masala chai
J. S. M.
Great vegetarian choices
R. S.
Aircon only working in the reception area when asked to the skinny white girl why it is so she rudely replied that is the management's call.
Other girl named Ha****jt least interested in serving sweets more interested in eating it.
Both the girls are interested in talking in punjabi and making fun of the customers, seems that they believe the customers dont understand it.
Seems the morning staff is never interested in working.
On the contray the staff in restaurant especially the plump boy always takes extra care of my kids and asks if he could do anything to make me more comfortable.
Its always better to go in the evening in the store as its more cooler and the guy in the spectacles al***n seems more concerned about his customers and goes the extra length to help us, when my wife couldnt get a particular product he went to the warehouse and got it.
Would defintly recommend to the management to bring in good people like Al***n in the morning also atleast on a saturday when i come in. And take some action against the ladies especially.
I come to this store only as i live in kangaroo point and no other store nearby wherein we get everything at one stop.
We like this store but the customer service sucks on saturday mornings....
Hope the management hears . . . . . . . .. . . . . .
r. s.
Nice indian food and grocery store.. Food taste is okay, not so great
A. P.
One of the most popular Indian grocery stores in Brisbane. All major Indian grocery brands and sweets are available here.
Free parking available around. Don't forget to visit restaurant upstairs for Indian street food.
k. h.
Always Perfect , Great quality , fresh food and great staff. But, such a high volume music made few babies upset there,
We know adults enjoy the high volume but what about Children's and babies coming with adults!
R. S.
Everything we ordered was delicious!! Taste of Bhel, Pani puri and Chiku shake were deserved the 5 stars amongst others!
H. .. (.
Aloo Paratha, Paneer sandwich, Falooda are amongst the simple things Mitch Masala does really well, the ambience is authentically Indian, a modern feel, clean, fast and tasty stuff. If you were looking for everything to be perfect, then it's perhaps not the place, but there are lots of perfect tasties there for your taste buds to be tickled until your belly is busting out your pants and aloo paratha with the blob of butter, pickle and raita is always perfect!
N.
Best place for everything dine in take away and Indian grocery shopping.
a. H.
Nice tasty indian street food in an informal setting
B. A.
Restaurant needs some cleaning. But food is amazing. And like the variety of indian snacks, spices and groceries, including fresh vegies and ready food.
S. C.
So far they have the best Indian street food. Coming here feels like India. Keep it up (Regular customer)
P. G.
Very expensive, and also not spicy enough for Indian taste buds but then again you will get everything Indian here, so if you're missing your country, can try this one !
N. K.
Proper Indian street food in Brisbane. Always welcoming, we go there time and time again. Only disappointing thing is the tea they serve full of sugar and spices.!
K. P.
Love love love the paneer cheese sandwich. The chickpea curry is also pretty good. Everything I've eaten here has been an absolute joy to eat.
A. R.
Not a very clean and tidy place. But you can get value for money. Well priced and can find a good selection of asian foods. Parking also available.
g. s.
Awesome paranthr and chole bathure. Great quantity with quality
a. l.
We tried thali and was good for the price, good service.
A. M. V.
All indian item are available much cheaper price while comparing shops like Geetha and All in one
T. S.
Good variety of subcontinent stuff and a decent North Indian fast food. The best I have had so far in Brisbane.
R. W.
Great Indian street food in a cafeteria style eatery. It's very casual, so not a place to take someone who's after something fancy, but good for a tasty snack.
O.
It's the only place we can get all our Indian food supplies. Contrary to a previous post the prices are good.
b. u.
Nice place to have fast food and chaat. Food is good. They are going to open even chinese options soon. Waiting for that eagerly. Wish they have more jain / oniongarlic free options like they have in their other branch at golgappas.
V. C.
Great Indian Groceries and tasty restaurant. Huge variety of items. One stop shop for any Indians. Must visit if you in Brisbane!!!!
P. M.
Awesome food n awesome place to be...
Y. G. R.

N. E.
Amazing vegetarian indian food. Nice spicey flavour. Try the samosas. They are huge and flavour packed
K. S.
Avg. food taste but you get to shop Indian grocery at the same time. If you want to buy Indian grocery and have quick Indian bites, good place to be in.
S. B.
Groceries bit expensive than other competitors.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Shop open till late, when most of competitors close down.
Nice samosas and paav bhaji.
J. P. (.
Thinking of this place itself makes me drool... yummm
S. S. (.
Above average. Service is slow. Took some time to serve.
g. t.
Food is "indian street food", something rare to get in brissie - not your classic aussie-curry at all (read, no "butter chicken" here!). in comparison to much of brissie fair, this is DELICIOUS!
While perhaps not a "first date" destination (unless you're foodies) the place is modern and clean (once you get up the stairs). Service staff are always helpful, always remember what we ordered last time, and great at recommending what we should try next.
Relative to other brissie places this place is cheap - where else can you depart fed for under $8-10 ?! (and we're big eaters!)
get some taste, and celebrate good food places like this in brisbane !
R. A.
Great selection of Indian groceries. Wide range. A good restaurant on the first floor which serves tasty and wide variety of Indian food. Highly recommended.
K. K.
Perfect place to get Asian foods, specially Indian and Nepalese cuisine style. They also have a fast food restaurant set up on top to enjoy the Indian cuisine.
S. B.
Amazing food, all vegetarian. Something worth experiencing. Come herr on an almost weekly basis....Have always had great service. If you want butter chicken.....keep walking.
S. D.
Great place for most Indian groceries and sweets. Service is always fast at the check out.
P. K.
Another perfect place for all the indian groceries. It is highly unlikely that you will return disappointed from this place.
J. K.
I have never seen so many different types of flour in all of my life. Some I never knew existed. Great range and the restaurant upstairs is amazing
R. R.
The place has a big collection of all indian groceries, spices and more . Even it has a restaurent at level 1. But the pricingi found at resto is comparatively costly.
C. M.

M. F.
The only best thing at this place is Chole Bhature. Nice quality, good taste.

K. S.
Food is always so good! Told all my friends in Brisbane to try the food here.

Food is fine but i have to write about the wait staff that you have to add more wait staff as there was too much pressure on a single girl although she was doing a great job.
