Nice open atmosphere. Chicken enchilada only had 3 small enchiladas and was dominated by rice. My wife had fajitas which were tasty but she would not order them again due to small serving size. If we go again, we'll share the nachos, they are huge and great for sharing.

We had a nice experience. It was mid afternoon and not too busy. The waiter was really friendly and we were happy with the service. They have a large list of margaritas. The two we ordered were delicious. One was the lychee and passionfruit, the other the coconut and mango. We shared tacos and some tortilla chips. All was fine for what we needed. I probably would go back but I'd be keen to try some other dishes.

Had a late lunch here on Sunday and it was awesome. Staff were attentive. Nice and clean restaurant. Friendly atmosphere. Not many people there, good for us perhaps not so good for them. Food tasted great. We had never been here before so were surprised at the portion for price. Very good and very filling. We had a variety of soft tacos. Sangria was nice and cool on the hot afternoon as well. I would go back. Definitely recommend. We were pleasantly surprised. Well done.

I loved the decoration and comfy seats. As a well known of mexican food I felt the salad in the tacos is too simple and makes the taco a bit bitter when tasting. I would suggest to create a nice dressing for it. The customer service was lovely The chicken sadly tastes very likely like the one you eat at Guzman Y Gomez as well as the tortillas. The rice was stunning, my congrats to the chef.

Vinny is a legend!! Went there for Valentine’s Day with my wife without a previous booking. The host was very helpful explaining us the options for that day and gave us the option to choose our table. From that moment, Vinny looked after us and some tables around. He definitely knows the words of courtesy, politeness and customer experience. He maximised the value of the overall experience in the restaurant. I have gave the restaurant four stars as the food quality could be much better. Thanks Vinny!

Hosted my birthday dinner here for Taco Tuesday and had a lovely experience! The food was flavourful and had a lot of options (the tofu one wasn't too great though), and we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices and staff were very willing to cater to dietary requirements. Service was lovely, everyone was super friendly and cheerful. Definitely recommend this place, the all you can eat Tacos for $25 are a fantastic value 😊

Felt like some Mexican food while in the area and Mucho Mexicano caught my eye above the other restaurants in the area. Our table of six were quickly seated by a friendly member of staff named Vinny. The food and drinks came quick and was very tasty. The only thing that caused a blip was I ordered a few entrees instead of a main so of course they came before the main course. I can't really blame them for that though. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again when next in the area!

My friends and I planned on going somewhere else but it was closed. After wandering around Southbank we came across Mucho Mexicano, and our lovely server Vinny made our evening incredible. The service and food are consistantly good regardless of how busy they are. Staff are happy, friendly and eager to help. The only change I'd like is smaller nachos option for when only one person is wanting it. We always have so much go to waste. Staff happy to provide takeaway containers but unfortunately we weren't going home for many hours.

The endless Taco Tuesday menu was a selection of 5 tacos, one of which was very bland and not very enjoyable (avoid the barramundi), however 4 out of the 5 were very tasty, especially the vegetarian options. I feel that the 4 good tacos out of the possible 5 should be reflected in my score.

Great take on Mexican food! We got tacos, chips, and taquitos - all were pretty good and neither of us had complaints. The staff were super friendly and attentive, even as the restaurant got busier. It was a nice bustling vibe in a cute area. Certain items did appear to be a little pricier than I thought was warranted - like 8 chips with salsa/guac for $13 or so was pushing it. Website needs to be updated with broken links and incorrect menu pricing, but other than that, I thought it was cute. Would definitely go back.

There are a few Mexican restaurants at Southbank, however, would recommend trying the red sangria here. Tonight was busy , but the food came out pretty quickly. Definitely worth a visit or two to have a go at the menu.

Went for all you can eat option on tuesday. Ate about 15 tacos some ate 20 and some ate less. Pumpkin taco was probably one of the best it had some fried cheese pieces and it was very delicious. Highly recommend going there with your friends for a good night out! It was 25 per person and the other tacos were not so bad either.

Good service, catered for intolerances and areas that we saw looked clean. We had the beef and chicken fajitas and they were good. There are no toilets however you're at Southbank. Plenty of public facilities near. It can get very busy so I would try and book ahead. We got lucky as someone didn't show 😁

This place has become a staple for myself and my partner when we're looking for a nice feed and our pockets are a touch heavier. Highly recommend Taco Tuesday (fantastic vegetarian options). - Staff are routinely polite and attentive - Food is outstanding, except for a few which are slightly worse but still comfortably above average - Priced well. There's options here for most people, but you're paying for quality. If you're going to be eating tacos for the entire dinner, then the bill will be a bit steeper (except for Taco Tuesday, which, again, I highly recommend both in terms of pricing and taste), but nachos are a great option for a big dinner for one or a shared meal. - Good selection of drinks.

Consistently 5 stars every time we go and we are locals. Amazing food. We always get the triple tacos and grande nachos with a jug of lychee and passionfruit cocktail. Before Corona we used to go 1-2 times a fortnight. We don’t go as often now but my god it hasn’t changed! Perfection each time, great friendly staff, delicious food and well prepared. The gluten free options are amazing and there’s so much to chose from. 10/10

Service was average. Food was hit and miss. The nachos and enchiladas were stacked with plain tomato paste, but the dirty rice was great. The mention of queso in the ingredients apparently did not imply that beautiful cheese dipping sauce you would expect, but just literally grated cheese. Having said that, the beer battered jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese entree were amazing and almost worth the trip on their own. The virgin sangria was an intense disappointment. Tasted like some sort of guava fizzy drinks with an apple slice in it. For the price, I don't think I'd go again

Thank you for the organising of the space I got to share with my family on my birthday night. I reserved a table of 10 and when arriving to the place we were seated in a less crowded room I wasn’t expecting it but it was thoughtful and made my night a special one. Food is really nice but depends of what you choose. I really enjoyed my pulled pork nachos and drunken prawns. Chicken wings were yummy too. But the beef fajita wasn't that nice, meat was tough and chewing. I ordered jug of margarita and it cost me 40$. It's a bit expensive but still nice place to go, as location is great and staff very friendly and helpful. They advise us awesome as we were a bit difficult customers due my Gluten Intolerance and my mom lactose Intolerance. Overall I recommend and I am happy to come back and try something different.

Well prices and generous meals are served here at Mucho Mexicano. We met here for a friends 30th, and were seated upstairs. The meals were generous servings, and came out quite quickly for being 8pm on a Saturday evening. We had the Cevieche for starter, which unfortunately came out the same time as the mains. We both had a trio of tacos. The chorizo one was a bit of a miss, but the stand out ones being the pork belly, and the barramundi. The drink selection was vast and had a great variety on hand. Would definitely visit here again!

Honestly, this place has gone down hill since Alana (I think that was her name) left! Liquid cheese, instead of real cheese. Rude staff behind the bar, who got our order wrong and then cracked it at us. Expensive and low quality. Such a pity, this place use to be a staple of ours 😔 Oh, ps: that’s the rude guy!

Really enjoyed our food, just a little different to other Mexican restaurants we have been to, the mushroom dishes were amazing. We will be back few more dishes to try if I can stop myself from ordering the mushroom enchiladas again. One disappointing thing was the beef was mince and not shredded beef but was still tasty.

Was a great experience, price wasn't bad given its location, atmosphere was good. The attitude of the servers was on point, the owner/ manager looking person seemed positive, engaging, cleaning tables themselves, standing back and assisting and doing anything to make the night run smoothly, the meals were cooked and prepared quite diligently and were delightful and for a busy night the meals came out quick, the drinks were mixed and prepared and served quite well to great proportions. This is definitely a well run establishment.

TACO TUESDAY FTW! $25 p/p for all-you-can-eat tacos on Tuesday nights; and is really worth the value. You shouldn't be surprised to see the restaurant packed on this night but, do not fret, your tacos will still be served promptly and nicely. This place makes a great choice for small, dinner gatherings with family and friends, as the atmosphere and dim lighting make the place lively and yet cozy. Try to eat all their taco flavours if you haven't overeaten! They'll also let you split bills at the end to make things easier. If you're indecisive like me, and need help deciding where to dine in South Bank on a Tuesday night, visit this place! PS: Bring some hand sanitisers or wet wipes with you, as it can get really messy (in a good way).

The bowl of nachos was massive, a lot bigger than we thought (great value for the price). The enchiladas with rice however was smaller than expected. Food is always good. The wait was incredibly long however. Online it states that you must be in and out within 1.5 hours. We waited for our food for 1.5 hours on a Monday night. People that where sitted after us did receive their food before us. We had to ask the waiter where our food was after the 1.5 hours and they said it was going to take a bit longer. Overlay the experience is generally always good. However I feel something more should have been done about the wait.

it was hard to give it only 3 stars. This used to be my fave before covid. The pork belly taco was amazing as usual, however the Sangria was just watered down and cheap. This used to be top shelf stuff, made by the jug , with generous quantity of wine and fruit, was a deep red and potent, standard has fallen. Important lesson when quality drops customers stop. Hope its taken as constructive feed back and the sangria returns to the former quality.

I had the "All You Can Eat" Tacos (white flatbread variety not the corn shells) on a Tuesday night. Varieties on offer were a bit different to what was on their website, but still was a decent variety to sample. Quite tasty, a bit dry though as no guacamole, sour cream or salsa available with the deal and I wasn't going to pay $4 for each side. I would have been happier to pay extra for the deal if it came with all the condiments. Definitely had enough to eat though as you keep ordering until you are full. I would probably try something off the menu instead next time though.

Amazing food and drink. I would recommend getting a jug of margaritas and sharing with some friends, as they are very sweet and fruity, while still packing a punch. We all shared a bit of eachother's meals and honestly I don't think you could go wrong with any food choice, it was all delicious. I found the staff to be a little rushed, which is understandable given how busy they are, however our waiter for the night made some passive aggressive comments about how long it was taking for us to order food. Paying the bill seemed unnecessarily complicated too, instead of saying what we ordered and having the staff ring it up, we were asked to look at the prices of the items on the menu and get our calculators out and tell the staff the amount we are paying, without saying what we ordered. It worked out okay, just seem a bit strange and prone to mistakes as there was about 15 of us out for the night.

Came here last night with friends, our first waiter seemed very disinterested and seemed like he didn't want to be there. Ordered vegetarian nachos as did my friend. Strolling along South Bank we decided to try something different and headed on in to Mucho Mexicano. What was a pleasant afternoon outside was not so pleasant once we arrived at the restaurant. We were greeted by a rude waiter and what looked like an untidy and unclean Restaurant. However, we decided to put this beside us and see what the Mexican experience is about. What we got was good tasting Mexican lunch which was reasonably well portioned and generally well priced. We chose from the Chicken Burrito Bowl and selection of 3 tacos. The Chicken Burrito Bowl was tasty, the chicken well cooked but be wary, this special is advertised on the board but when seated the waiter doesn’t present this menu to you. You need to ask a couple of times to get it. The three tacos were Pumpkin and Halloumi, Slow Roasted Pork and Smoked Chorizo. All were extremely tasty and all packing punch and flavour and well portioned. The Sangria Tinto was plesant however had a dominating wine taste which is unlike most sangrias but was quite strong. Overall, it is good for a walk in lunch or dinner nothing too elaborate but nothing too basic.

I have experienced a very friendly and lively staff here. Have loved the food as well. Enjoyed my visit. Drunken prawns is one of my favourite things on the menu. Try it out.

As a reviewer from Texas who grew up with Mexican food, Mucho Mexicano was pretty good to get my "mexican fix". The pork belly street taco with pineapple salsa was excellent, guacamole was good (once you added your own habenero salsa provided at the table). Tortilla chips were stale. The vegetarian enchilada was most unusual and delicious -- served in cast iron and done in layers. Non-traditional and delicious.

Yeah it's good. I'll 5 star it next time after I've tried the margaritas. I had the chilli con carne. Was a great meal. They also had this green haberno chilli sauce by El Cielo. Will def try and get that for the pantry.

Pretty ballsy opening across from GyG. Didn't quite make the cut on the lunch burrito though. They seem to take that typical kitchen sink approach to the menu which every failed South Back restaurant has done before it. Can't blame them though, South Bank visitors are a fickle bunch.

Came here with a friend who was visiting from Canada, had the lunch special which is the burritos. Our margarita jug came after our food arrived, the bartender was on the phone for a while and no one else could make our drinks. Burrito was nothing to write home about but their margarita was delicious! I came here a few months back and had their tacos for dinner and they were delicious!

All you can eat tacos on Monday or Tuesday. I can't remember because that Sangria had me turn boi! I got like 3 different types. I could bath in their sangrias. On my back floating in wine goodness while being fed those tasty little fish tacos. Ahhhhh the life. Finish off your night with a shot of the cheapest tequila they have. Trust me. Them get you an Uber home. Don't drink and drive kids. When your wife looks at you like you have drank too much just psssssh that away. You are probably making that up because of the sangria. She's actually happy because she has tacos too. She has pumpkin tacos. Weird I know but they have them.
