We went on new years eve and had a bite to eat just before the 8pm fireworks. The food was OK but with no real taste. Just felt that there was no wow to the flavour. The service was good and overall I didn't have an unenjoyable experience just nothing to write home about.

Average food that's a bit overpriced. I believe the staff over the phone told my friend there were certain things i.e. jugs of drinks to share, alcohol on tap that are actually not available at all. Shout-out to the staff however for being accommodating and lovely!

Trendy little bar in Southbank. Recently changed owners who have brought in a new and uplifting menu. Great for a bite and then sit back and enjoy a few cocktails with company.

Went here for dinner and the chicken mushroom risotto was wonderful. My partner likes to order a lot of dishes so the table was a little small to fit them all in. Other than that, the staff were very lovely and if you get to dine here, the Pimm's Cocktail is a great drink!

Just had lunch/dinner today. The atmosphere and setting here is superb. Had some cocktails and entree of chicken skewers and aranchini as a starter. Both were great but the main star was the mains we had afterwards. We had the Pork belly and Beef stew. Cocktails were yummy. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall a great place to enjoy a meal and a nice cocktail. Will definetily be back.

Great place for dinner with a partner or friends. It could be noisy in weekend evening but still lovely to enjoy atmosphere. I loved their non-alcohol cocktails all is $8 and very beautiful looking! Seafood pasta was great but steak was ok, the sauce is very sweet somehow. We would like to try something different next time when we visit!

Had a fantastic dinner tonight. The service was top notch and attentive and the portions were huge. I had the chicken salad and the seared tuna. The chicken salad was tasty and scrumptious and the tuna was huge and cooked perfectly. Thanks for an awesome night.

Came across this bar and eatery while out walking with some friends who live in the South bank area. We really enjoyed this place. The lunch board for two was perfect and good value at $30.00. The waiters/servers wore crisp clean uniforms and were very pleasant and attentive. I really enjoyed my ‘Drunken Botanist’ cocktail (Botanist gin was the base). For casual indoor or sidewalk dining in a very pleasant atmosphere - I highly recommend going ‘Next Door’.🍯🍸

Finally a barista who understands that a long black should not be scaldingly hot👌 The breakfast menu is superb, I can thoroughly recommend the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and capers😋 The bacon and eggs also looked great👍

Nice.... The food especially the cheese burger is delicious. The service was excellent and staff friendly. The fish n chips however, the fish was thin and dry, they couldn't tell me what type of fish it was either. Makes me think it was frozen. Other than that I highly recommend 👍

Good food and service. I Enjoyed the spiced kangaroo with berry coulis and balsamic reduction. The crispy skin salmon was also good and kids chicken and chips looked like a freshly prepared chicken schnitzel rather than frozen chicken pieces.

Next door kitchen and bar is situated along little Stanley street at Southbank. The restaurant has a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu with cocktails and drinks avaliable after 10am. Our food was hot and served quickly with great customer service and a friendly smile. Prices are reasonable and eftpos and cash is available. I highly recommend a lazy Saturday brunch here.

We came here on new year’s day, and the waiter (French descent?) was very kind to inform us on the public holiday surcharge. We orderd the $30 lunch board for 2, with an additional $3 for drinks (red/white wine, or soft drinks). It was priced reasonably and tasted delicious. However, the calamari pieces and fish slices in the meal are just too little. There were not many people at the time we visited (around 2pm) and the service was prompt.

First time I have been there I had spaghetti. It's so nice. I would like to be back again. Then I made it. I went back and disappointed myself. They must have difference chef on difference day. Because food is not nearly as what I have had before. Not even close. Taste was too salty and when I looked at in the kitchen theirs must be Asian man. So doesn't matter it is not the point. The point is I would like to let theirs boss knows if they have different chef cook on difference day. You should have same recipe to keep your standard. And I have to say sorry that I won't be back again🙏🙏🙏

Very friendly and pleasant staff. Meals were quite good but could have been just a bit bigger. The wait times for the courses were a tad slow given the restaurant was less than half full. The desert, Afagatto, was absolutely delicious. Overall, a good dining experience.

Lots of flavors. Nice place if you want to eat outside. Had kangaroo steak for the first time. Taste good, a bit chewy for my liking.
