So glad our wandering brought us to this place! The food was delicious, the service fantastic and the atmosphere was great. The perfect place to eat during a Brisbane winter storm. The price is really affordable and the portions good value. I can’t recommend this place enough. We really enjoyed the Iced White coffee too!

Food is good but can be better. The quality has dropped lately. Menu has a lot of variety but quite pricy. The drinks are now served in smaller, plastic cups but still charging the same price as before.
Their nasi lemak, mee goreng, chicken curry, dry noodle, the vegetarian options and teh tarik are quite authentic Malaysian.
Just inconsistent at times eg laksa is bland and oily. Their toast was served with a frozen butter, hard as a rock.
Service is friendly but sometimes lack attention to detail. For example we had to repeatedly ask for water, serviette etc. everytime we go here.
Takeaway container is $0.20 each.
K. T.
Very nice food served in large portions and the staff are really nice. The food took a while to come after we ordered so we had to rush and take our leftovers away as we had to go back to work. All payments by card, whether debit or credit, attract a surcharge.

the best paparich location! have been coming here for the past year, a regular!! love coming here, i always get the same noodle soup with chicken and prawn, always amazing taste!
as a fellow malaysian it really makes me miss home!~
i personally prefer paparich than roti place~ i believe they are more authentic and their menu is more comfort food and affordable compared to roti place~
staff here are generally quite nice!!
during lunch hours it’s quite packed!~ really recommend coming here~ amazing food!!
F. A.
One of my favourite go-to spots in the city. Portion sizes are amazing and some of dishes can definitely feed two people of you don't want to eat a lot. The drinks are delicious too. The service here is fast which I like as well.
S. T.
I absolutely love this place! One of the best in Brisbane! The folks at Cooparoo have the best hospitality and the food never disappoints! I keep coming back!!
M. T.
went for a birthday lunch with a group of friends and the service and atmosphere was amazing! We all shared food across our table and all of them tasted really good!! The guy who lit up the candles was very kind and helpful so thank you for making our day special

I’ve been to papa rich several times and the food has always been very consistent.
This time we had:
Nasi Lemak - we got the curry chicken and prawns. The chicken was perfect, very tender and juicy with the flavour running through it. The prawns were a bit disappointing. Small and the sauce didn’t cover it all. I’d probably order the nasi lemak with a different meat from the prawns next time.
Dry curry noodles - the soy noodles and curry chicken were good. The green veggies were a touch over cooked.
Laksa - the laksa had lots of noodles but not much in terms of meat. There were lots of bits of random tofu.
A pretty safe choice for Malaysian food. I’d probably be selective in going for the things they do well.
I think due to covid, the staff were a little bit overworked for the number of people they were serving. They seemed to be always in a panic. When we did sit down and order, the food came out quickly and all together.

A busy Malaysian restaurant at the first level on the Queen street. The restaurant is most of the time full with customers. The tables inside the restaurant is too close to each other. The tables are small. There are a few tables outside the restaurant.
Their drinks menu is limited and their food menu is good with a proper meal for 15$.
The roti was hard and there are vegetarian options. The food was ok and correct quantity. Left overs can be taken away and staff would provide a plastic box to pack the food yourself.
J. M.
Delicious and flavorful meals at good prices! The Roti Canai by itself (E24) is perfection. Our favourite dishes are the Crispy Egg Noodles (N14) and Nasi Goreng with Fried Chicken (R02). Asian desserts and drinks are the best and these guys make them so well! Try them!

Ah, Papparich.. perhaps one of the better known Malaysian food franchises here in Australia. If I were to describe everything in one word - from the service of the wait staff to the food quality - 'mediocre' would be it. Boy who waited on me looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there, half threw my drinking straw onto the table haha. As for food quality it really isn't the worst but not the best either and I'm probably in a better position to judge than most, being Malaysian. Recipes have obviously been tweaked slightly to suit the local palate but that is not the point - objectively speaking the taste of the food is just that.. mediocre, with the only saving grace being the slightly larger than average portion size. Reminds me of Malaya Corner in Sunnybank in that regard - huge portions but tastes so horrible you're plunged into an existential crisis in the middle of eating it (Protip: do not go to Malaya Corner in Sunnybank). Plenty of other Malaysian restaurants around Brisbane doing a much better job in my opinion. Sometimes see these Caucasian 'local guides' dishing out five stars for each and every Asian restaurant they visit. Bewildering. They probably don't know better.

Even if you are weak at speaking English, there is no difficulty to order food in this restaurant. Except some staff know speaking Chinese, the customers only need to write down the code and the quantity of the food they want to order on the ordering sheet.
You can also add remarks if you have some allergy issues or dislike options. For me, e.g. No veggies.
The drinks are also great. Smooth and creamy.
C. “. C.
A place guaranteed for good Malaysian food. The global chain ensures its food quality but sizing can be inconsistent
Y. Z.
I went there many time I like the taste of the food is full of flavours and a huge selection of food the service is always great, it is a great place to try Malaysian food
A. B.
very nice atmosphere, great food and amazing staff. one worker there is very handsome 🤭🤭
#fighting #myfavrestaurant #iwillcomeback

The roti isn’t as good as other PappaRichs or as good as Roti Palace but it was alright, but it did taste like it was mass produced . I got the vegetarian fake mutton, which was good. The food came out quickly. Not bad but not nearly as good as other places in Brisbane
J. H.
I have been here several times with my colleagues. After I had a raw chicken meal, I did not go there for long. I happened to be here last week and tried to avoid ordering any chicken dishes. I got seafood migoreng. It was ok, but it was very moist.. like the noodle was not appropriately drained. Sigh...
郭.
Roti is delicious and awesome 🤩🤩🤩 Always my favorite place having Malaysia’s food .Good atmosphere and service 😊
J. T.
Good sized portions though prices are a bit more than the usual Asian restaurant. Still reasonable for the price. Went in August with a friend that wanted to sample the Nasi Lemak burger, the sambal was great and the chicken but the bun was quite cold and stale. A bit disappointing for the easiest part to be a let down. Hopefully Papparich buys better buns. The fried chicken skin side was great though
K. R.
they have an interesting ordering system where you write on a notepad the dish you want and press a button for the server to collect the order. they’ve got good vegetarian options but I did order the eggplant starter which was very fishy. can’t remember thought if it was marked vegetarian.
L. N.
One of my favourite places for Malaysian food. The menu has a good range of food and drinks. Their char kway teow has that great charred taste which I love. I have mine without the prawns and to substitute fish cake cost me $2 extra which doesn’t make sense as surely prawns cost more than fish cake? I usually have the Bandung (rose) drink with grass jelly but lately I’ve been going for the iced lemon tea. Service is friendly and usually quick. Comfortable seating.
S. K.
Had dinner here this evening. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Beautiful food!! Their roti are spectacular, get them in your face :)
M. M.
Delicious Malaysian food- authentic, quick and very tasty. Great prices, fast service, staff were efficient. Will return!
M. S.
Never had any problems before but today the staff who took our order was not friendly at all. I ordered the pan mee soup without the poached egg, but it came without the minced meat and mushrooms. There was no way I was going to pay $15 for a just bowl of noodles, broth, anchovies and spinach. Had to call another staff just to ask for the minced meat. On the plus side, the sambal was delectable.
J. J. R.
Nice presentation. Good service and yummy food..
S. C.
I always order the Fried Rice Noodles. This place is kind of a hit and miss but still I would highly recommend it.
G. Y.
Excellent service and friendly staff. The environment is comfortable ,good place for gathering:))
M. G.
Very authentic Malaysian restaurant. Very rich flavors served in large portions. Staff were helpful as well.
D. H.
Authentic Malaysian in Winter Garden, a little pricey for the street food but very delicious. Always crowded
C. D.
Food was great even though it was quite rich... hence the name I guess :) It's always a place I really like to eat at.
C. L.
Quite expensive but the food is severed in a big size. Have to try the drinks there, they are perfect match with the food.
K. L.
Food quality excellent.
Roti dishes can take a bit longer as they seem to cook the roti fresh, but it is definitely worth the wait. No complaints about the various curries either. Very aromatic.
Dessert menu limited, but sago pudding is very tasty.
Service can be a bit patchy depending on how busy the restaurant is, and how inexperienced the particular staff member assigned to your section is.
The Hainan chicken dish can be hit and miss. The sauce is excellent. The dark meat is great, but the white meat of the chicken can be a bit dry, and texture heading towards firm.
T.
Food is always amazing and freshly made when I go here. Lunch with a very solid price for two $35 - $50. Staff are friendly and quick to service. Delivery Roo and Uber eats available. I always and I mean ALWAYS get the watermelon juice ever since I tried it. It's fresh watermelon with ice and it's amazingly fresh in this Brisbane hot weather if you want something refreshing.
F.
Great food although the service can sometimes be a little lacking. However the food is still worth it.
F. S.
Wandered in. Fabulous food. Great presentation and prices. Highly recommend
L. D.
I've been trying to remember where this restaurant was for about 16 mths. So glad I found it again. Delicious food. Love the roti. Service quick. Food hot.
k.
Without a doubt one of my favourite restaurants in the CBD. The food and drink selection are not only extensive, but mouth-watering. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. Even when the restaurant is busy, the service is still fast. My favourite dish is the chicken rice, I can't help ordering it over and over again. But the wide selection of dishes makes me want to come back and try something new each time.
A. D.
Undoubtedly, they serve the finest Malaysian cousine in Brisbane CBD. We love coming back to this place. Staffs are very welcoming, always attentive, super active and never fails to impress with the quality of food. If you are there for the first time, definitely try their signature Roti. Try anything from the menu and they always make sure you taste buds feel enticed. Don't miss some of their special drinks, like Mango Mania.
H. N.
Love Malaysian cuisine. The food here is delicious. Love the way you order, you just mark it on a sheet of paper, so you can take you time and peruse the menu. Highly recommend the Roti Canai, consistently good. Can be a bit busy, so a good idea to go early. Kid friendly.
T. S.
Taste good but portion size just average compare to other malaysian restaurant in the corner.
A. C.
Good service. Good food... Keep it up!
A. O.
Everything was perfect. Thanks you so much. Enjoyed our meal tonight.
k.
food was very delicious, however it is a bit more expensive compared to other malaysian restaurants in the city. it has a very large menu with something everyone will love.
Y. B.
Good food, they need to work on their customer service skills though!
M. C.
Best Hainan Chicken Rice in the CBD! Love it.
P. C.
We go to PapaRich when craving Malaysian food and the food is consistently good. Vegetarian options are noticeably smaller than the meat equivalents which is a shame. Staff are friendly but usually forget drinks/cutlery.
M. A.
Great menu, authentic food and generous portions.
One of the few restaurants which the food matches the photos on the menu and also exceeds the expectations on taste, presentation and portions.
They have done a great job creating a beautiful menu with most of the foods illustrated beautifully which makes it very easy to chose your dish especially if you don't know much about traditional Malaysian food.
The drinks were also great but on the expensive side.
Overall a very good experience. Will definitely pop back to grab some different items from the menu in the future.
F. W.
Yummy Malaysian food. 😊
J.
The rotti with egg was great and the curry was just the right amount of a spice to warm up this cold day
A. N.
Good food, pretty busy place. Organised method of ordering food to your table.
S. S.
Great food and taste good. A return visit is a mist here.
江.
Went lunch with friends, the service and environment is excellent^.^
K. R.
10/10. Food was amazing. Didn't even know what Malaysian food was but now I'm putting it up in the favourites. Beautifully presented and great portion sizes for a very affordable price. Can't wait to try more.
J. P.
Delicious! Casual dining. Very nice interior, great table service, and huge menu.
My friends and I want to come back to try the many many options on the menu. All of which look so good.
S. M.
Good Malaysian style family food. An extensive menu and quick service make this a great go to family restaurant even for my fussy 6 year old.
It is ageing a bit around the edges (despite being only a few years old) and there's a certain authenticity in the way they provide dodgy photocopies of the order slips when they run out of originals that presumably come from the main franchise but the food is consistently good across a wide range.
D.
Great tasty food. Predictible in quality. Fast service.
M. D.
This is genuine and tasty Malaysian style food, which is not westernised to suite the uninitiated. There are 2 drawbacks. If one goes in a group, although one may order the food together, there can be a spread of anywhere between 5 an 20 minutes between the first person's meal arriving and the last person's arriving. Secondly, the portion sizes are anything between 150% and 200% of what one be served in Singapore or Malaysia. It makes you into a pig or a waster. I would much prefer smaller portions and to pay $2 less.
P. W.
Food for a variety of pallets and dietary requirements. I had the "special" burger which contained a battered chicken fillet, and an in-house relish that looked spicy but was disappointingly mild. It did surprise however, containing whole roast peanuts and crispy, small, anchovie-like, fish
L. C.
I goto paparich when I crave Malaysian food... Food is good, but coffee just somehow don't taste as good in a paper cup. Oh well, hope we could get a proper mug/cup again once the pandemic is over
T. A.
Great restaurant. Good Malaysian cuisine. The dishes tastes authentic and tastes good. I had the Chicken Nasi and it was one of my favorite in Brisbane. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also good. Would definitely come back here.
J.
The food & drinks are always really good. I've been a few times & its always the same, it doesn't change depending on the chef. Pricing is pretty standard & wait time is pretty good.
Downside: not idea to go there for dinner if you want to talk because it can get pretty loud.
B. B.
I would say still a good food but taste is not exactly same as Malaysia. A bit softened on spices and flavor. Seat was very tight, table was small. Observed many time Families or big group of people struggling for sharing small table. (Staff does not allow u to use extra table or seat as it get very crowded usually)
R. G.
Yes it does get busy, but that's because the food is good. No bookings so you need patience. Prices are around $15 a meal and the portions are a good size so good value. I can't go past the Curry Laksa. Fried chicken skin is worth a try. Yum.
N. P.
Above average food, nothing spectacular.
Good for a mild curry craving sometimes.
Seating inside feels crowded, too noisy. For a place the services Indian and Malay cuisine, they don’t have a wash basin for washing hands.
Staff is well mannered and polite, good place for bringing out friends/family for a causal catch-up.
Watch out for overpriced items though, such as their rotis and drinks. Their “deserts” are nothing creative, you’re better off getting something from one of the many shops on Queen street.
M. D.
A good place to go to for authentic malaysian food, although sometimes at certain restaurant, taste can varies alot, once i ordered a bowl of laksa but i was too diluted and bland for a bowl of laksa. Fortunately it does not happen all the time, which mean that maybe sometimes the chef missed something or put too much or too little of something. Inwish they have the authentic ice bandung, not the ice blended version.
C. A. C. A.
The food is okay. The Pappa char kwe tiao tastes better than some other Asian cuisine places. But, the service is so slow and the staff are not that friendly. They didn't even smile!
B. B.
Absolutely awesome food, super fast service! I want to go back and try everything on the menu!
T. C. T.
Amazing food ,like Papparich always !!
M. M.
Delicious meals and great customer service.
S. E.
Cheap, fast and delicious. Definitely one of my favourite Malaysian restaurants. I come here regularly and their food is always consistent. Don't be initimidated by the long line-up to get in, it's not a long wait, and it's worth it!
S. L.
Unpretentious, affordable and most of all delicious malaysian food. I went for a nasi lemak and te tarik. This was the real deal, not one of the rushed or westernised imitations I have been subjected to both in the UK and Oz. The pandan rice was perfectly cooked and aromatic, the sambal richly spicy, the ikan bilis crunchy and flavoursome and the chicken curry balanced it all very nicely.
M. F.
Food was great but I cant say the same for the service. The staff meant well but when my mum complained that her chicken wasn't cooked the manager and server actually dissected the thing right in front of us. It was awkward because of how close they were. I would suggest if that were to happen again that the staff take the mentioned dish away and examine elsewhere if necessary. It just felt like there was no respect for personal space at that moment.
J. A.
Visited this food establishment for the first time and am quite impressed. We were greeted by a friendly staff member as we walked in. They offer lunch special for I believe it was roughly below $20 for a meal and a drink. We also ordered Satay chicken that comes with peanut sauce, cucumber and onions. The way to order is unconventional they give you a check list and a pencil and you simply write in the food number in the list, once done press the buzzer on your table and a staff member will come to pick it up. We were new to this so had to get assistance from the staff. Will definitely come back again!!
H. S.
A franchise that serves tasty Malaysian fare. The rotis are fluffy and satisfying (although they're quite small) and the chicken curry is delicious and satisfying. Lunch can be very busy so plan to go either side for choice of table. Don't expect a quiet or peaceful dining experience: the constant table call buzzers gets annoying very quickly. Best to bring your favourite music or clips and a good pair of earphones if you're dining solo. Also be warned that much of the deliciousness comes from a healthy serving of sugar, so this is definitely a treat yo'self experience. Well worth the indulgence.
T. D.
Very good Asian restaurant, fast enough for lunch. Menu has large, clear pictures of every meal, so that you can make choices even when you are not familiar with the dishes. Prices are reasonable and the food is excellent.
T. K.
It's pretty good for Brisbane standard. But it's not bad to have a taste of Malaysian crusine. However, the look of the dishes are quite inconsistent. Our table ordered two of the same fish and they very different.
C. M.
Have frequented here a number of times. More times than not is every meal and service perfect. Just a really easy place for malay food/desserts.
R. G.
Restaurant with table service provided, get a table and decide your meal, ample variety to choose from.
Selected the Biryani rice with chicken curry and prawns. Comes for around 15.50$ and this meal was delicious and a perfect lunch too.
Biryani rice has an Asian influence and the curry very simple, they chutney provided was hot spicy and tasty.
Would recommend you to try this meal.
A.
Food was awesome great portions , excellent customer service will be back
C. R.
It used to be really nice here, but then the management/owner changed and the food, service and atmosphere worsened overall. It’s not terrible, but it was better before. Still recommend though
G. T.
Nice place for local Malaysian and Singaporean food but the waiting time may put some people off.
X. X.
Great value, perfect location, they make the best laksa
P. B.
I enjoyed my meal here which was Pappa chicken rice but. Chicken was too wet when served, a bit sloppy, the soup flavor did not taste like a classic Hainan chicken broth based on what I have enjoyed in Singapore and Indonesia, the chicken rice itself was fine. The Ordering system was good and service was great too.
M. G.
Good taste of Asian cuisine
S. M.
Thanks guy you saved me a trip to KL or singapore !!!!
J. M.
Don't order drinks, they're a rip off. Ordered Char Kay Tow and the seafood Laksa, both were good, portions were large for the price. But the lychee soda was literally just soda water with two tinned lychees in it $5.50. The boba tea was sub par as well. Will eat there again but will stick to the free table water.
K. G.
Great ambience, authentic Malaysian flavours. Their split banana ice cream is one of my favs. They even have mock meat food for veggies and that’s a big winner for the whole group. Ideal for team outs if you’re in the city and looking for a place to celeb
N. I.
Used to like this place. But lately have mixed feeling on the food. Ordered few food, taste okay, but not as good as before. The chicken skin also slightly has burn feeling.
N. Y.
I come here every time I come to Brisbane. It's my favourite! The chicken rice is delicious. Great quick service. The place is always packed out so that says a lot.
D. H.
Good Malaysian food. On the pricier side but it's as expected when you eat at this chain.
W. L.
This is one of the more popular places in Brisbane CBD due to it being unique and open late compared to other options. Expect to order dishes such as Curry with Roti, Fish Head Curry, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng, Satay Chicken Skewers, Asam Laksa, Hainan Chicken Rice etc. One of my favourites is definitely the Fish Head Curry but it does take a very long time to eat it. Visitors seem to be delighted with its range of Asian drinks (like Bubble Tea) and desserts. I personally don't order them because I have tried and found them to be way too sweet and small for the price charged. I have tried so many different dishes. I would say that they need to work on the presentation and lack of ingredients in the Asam Laksa (as that is disappointing) and add in a great dish like Bahkut Teh which is typically Malaysian. The prices are a tad pricier than what you would pay for a typical meal. The staff are very inexperienced and shy. But I like the efficiency of ringing the buzzer and the lack of pressure to order until you can fill in the form.
E. Y.
Pretty busy place - about half hour in the queue on Friday nights - but we manage to have our foods ready 10 minutes after sitting down. So kudos to the customer service.
Food is pretty standard Paparich food in every other Paparich.
Good place to go if you want to try / crave some Malay food.
R. S. (.
Generous portion, very quick service even there are just 2 wait staff in the full house. Food very tasty and definetely will come back!
T. T.
I had Char Kway Teow. Firstly, they gave me the wrong order because it had no meat whatsoever, then replaced it, so no issues. The rice noodles itself was excellent, like Penang style, better than Singapore and Malaya Corner in Sunnybank. But only 3 very small shrimps and 3 half slices of fish cake, so they certainly are stingy like in actual Malaysia!
D. N.
Almost authentic tasting Malay food. Roti is good, the peanut satay somewhat overpriced but always tasty. The hawker style ordering system and delivery of food takes some getting used to tho.
Usually packed at peak times, so best to come outside of these times, call ahead or get in early.
R.
A decent place with nice variety of food is available in this Restaurant. Tandoori chicken is my favourite.
Close to most of the office's in CBD, Hence its mostly busy during the peak hours.
Services are really good and staff is friendly.
A. S.
Very popular moderately expensive place. They are specialising on chicken cooked differently. In the evenings, there is a wait in a queue as it getting busier. My suggestions are roti, curry chicken with rice and the red bean drink. Deserts are worth trying as well. There are a lot of serving staff, so the service is usually quick. They do offer take away, just ask for the containers.
Z. S. C.
They serve pretty authentic tasting Singaporean/Malaysian food. Can be really crowded (especially on weekends) so you have to be prepared to queue to get in. However, waiting time is generally not as long as other restaurants as their table turnover is pretty fast.
D. K.
Well this is my first time eating Malaysian food so I don't have a baseline of comparison. I ordered the Roti Telur Bawang and Beef Rendang. The beef was tougher than I would have expected in a curry. The curry Sauce and the Roti are both delicious though. Service was very quick and attentive. Cost was just over $15 per person.
L. 1.
Good food and reasonable service! Authentic Malaysian cuisine with good takeaway option. Clean and well maintained with good ventilation. Location is central in the cbd which is great for people around but not for people out from the city with high parking fees. Need another brach out out cbd. Highly recommended! :)
F. A.
Nice food and good atmosphere...
Y. T.
The Roti Canai at PappaRich in Brisbane has spoiled me for all other bread. Very slightly sweet but scrumptiously savout, that rich, moist, warm, chewy, flaky goodness is all I can think about! One is definitely not enough.
The staff are helpful and pleasant, and they have other food of course, but it's the incredible Roti Canai that I can't stop myself from coming in for. Mmm!
C.
Usually very good. Love the red chicken/ biryani or Beef Pedang/biryani. Was disappointed recently, went here with a friend and they basically forgot his Laska order. When it finally came out not much effort was made to apologise.
H. Y.
It used to be a consistent staple for Malaysian food but service standards & basic quality of some foods have been slowly dropping, even when it isn't busy. Will be putting this place on hiatus & revisit later.
M. S.
The food is really good here. I eat here more than 4 times because I didn't find any other delicious place in Brisbane compare to it. Tonight we ordered Roti Telur Bawang and Vegetarian Fried Kuay Teow noodle, both were delicious. I will recommend this restaurant to quality lovers. The service is also good and menu is also self described with pics of dishes. May be digital menu in the future.
K. D. S.
Great food, pleasant service, nice atmosphere. Our family of 5 was fed for $90. The Laksa and Nasi lemak was good but not the best I've tasted.
D.
Update: went back during off peak but still crowded. They really need to put more wait staff on the floor. Love the food still!
Will have to keep coming back to try out everything in the menu! So good.
m.
Expensive for the quality and service. But their chicken skin will keep me going back.
T. R.
The Food is pretty good. My only complaint was the prawn dish I ordered came with just 2 small prawns..Never seen a prawn dish so scant.
N. C.
Great place to go to for Malaysian/Singapore eats. The meals are close to what you would get overseas and aren't Westernised. Customer service is almost non-existent.
R. N.
Meals are a good size for the price. This place also sells beer - a little different to other stores I've been too. Food always come out fast and the staff are helpful.
C. M.
I was raised in Malaysia for 18 years. As authentic as any Malaysian/Oriental/Indian, food restaurant can be in a Western Country. The only, fault I have is that the spices and belacan(shrimp paste), has been slightly westernised to suit the Palette. Other than that the prices are comparative to a Restaurant with it's Location. If Papparich were to reduce their prices a little there would be more customers filing to get into the restaurant at any given time.

We visited the one upstairs in winter garden. This has a que sometimes but if your a bit outside standard meal times it's usually straight through.
The menu has a good variety of options and most mains would be ok to share as well.
Just a note if you want some thing more there is a bell at the table to call the Waite staff.
P. T.
I took friends to PapaRich few times and we all enjoyed the our meals, quick and friendly service. Very good value for what paid for.
N.
Great food, quick service and helpful staff. Accomodated us last minute.
D. L.
Top knotch food and drink and a location suitable for small or large groups. The menu has plenty of great options, particular favorites are the nasi lemak and roti with chicken curry. Highly recommended
R. E.
good portion, but food was average. We asked for no sugar soy milk, but it was so bloody sweet! And the staff insisted that they did not add any sugar in it.
I. J.
Food quality is good.staff will not accommodate requests for change to order even though the the other Pappa Rich outlets do so.
M. Y.
If you're here for the first time trying out Malaysian food, there's one thing on the menu you have gotta try; Nasi lemak. It's rice cooked with coconut milk and fragrant leaves. Served with sambal(a mix of chilies, dried prawns, ginger, onion, lime and sugar) and chicken curry. The curry here is called rendang which also has a good mix of coconut milk. It doesn't matter if you can't take spicy food. I guarantee you'll start exploring your taste buds more after having a taste of this dish.
I have tried a good selection of nasi lemaks in brisbane over the course of several months and I must say that Papparich serves the best one.
While you're here. Make sure to order coffee. There's a particular coffee on the menu called "cham" which means "a mixture" in a Chinese dialect. Yes, it's coffee but very differently roasted coffee from your regular lattes and flat whites. Plus, it's added with brewed tea. It may sound like a weird mixture to those unfamiliar with Asian drinks. Try it. It's bloody good. And it's the only place in Brisbane that serves this drink.
Forget the laksa, asam laksa, fried kuay teow, roti and ipoh noodles. Not good.
Nasi lemak and cham? Goooooooooooooodddddddd. Thumbs up.
While writing this review, I've just ordered my second serving of cham.
Y. R. Y.
Wow can't believe there are mock meat here! Why haven't I discovered earlier. Really a Asian heaven hands down. The portion size is surprisingly generous! Everything today was really yummm
R. N.
Food tastes great. Service is good too but for over $15 a dish the portion size is small. Overall a bit below average for value for money.
H. N.
Best deserts in all of Brisbane!
Ambience is pretty good. Staff attitude is ok
Food is pretty good/tasty. Though they are popular for their Malaysian food, their deserts are outstanding!
A. A.
Nice tasting vegetable laksa, however not many veggies! 3 slices of tomato and 3 pieces of zucchini is a bit stingy, especially when it’s the same price as the meat based laksa’s. Ample noodles and tofu.
V. T.
Upscale Malaysian food in the heart of Brisbane City.
C. 1.
Good price. Good food. Poor position of cash register, if line has over 5 people then staff blocked from serving some customers and always have to excuse themselves from cutting through line
S. S.
Authentic Malaysian food in Brisbane city at a very reasonable price. Delicious and spicy.
W. U.
I keep coming back for the fish curry noodle soup. No one does it better with more flavor and value than this place. Other meals are OK, but if you only try one meal at this place try the fish curry.
S. C.
Amazing variety of Malaysian cuisine, really nailed it with the decor and ambiance, as for the taste i would say an above average at best compared to the real dishes served in Malaysia but still an enjoyable location to dine at.
A. P.
pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. looks very fancy and expected an expensive dinner but is reasonably priced with a great variety. food was also very tasty and was served relatively quickly.
S. B.
This is a great Malaysian place with one of the best meat substitutes I've found. The Malaysian drinks are great, but there isn't a big alcohol selection.
R. V. d. K.
Busy place as had to wait 10 minutes to get in, so popular. Flavours were not strong. Might have been what i ordered. Will go back and try again. Service was ok
B. B.
Service attitude is a little shocking, maybe overworked? But still. And what kind of restaurant that don’t have hot water. “Sorry we only have tap water”. Then how do you make your hot tea and coffee?
N. M.
Tasty food. Good service
We got a cheaper version of the beer on the menu. There was egg shell through the dish
J. T.
Wow! I love the food and atmosphere of this place :D Super lively, friendly staff, delicious food and drinks (gotta try that black sesame drink) and was reasonably priced. One thing I would say though is the service was at times a lil slow, but I guess that's understandable being so busy :)
C. M.
Yep! Good food. It took time to arrive my meal.
J. K.
Due to it's semi-open space nature, the air conditioning isn't quite strong enough in the hot Brisbane summer.
Otherwise, good food nice restaurant.
M. K.
Food is consistently great!! Reminds me so much of Singapore and is always warming for the travel bug inside me. Could honestly eat here forever.
N. S.
Great food. Awesome Chilli Pan Mee. The Roti Canai with Curry Chicken is also good but a tad expensive given they serve just 1 roti. Overall top notch!
S. W.
Food and service are really good. Prices are very reasonable. We had a group of 6+ but they didn't want to take a booking. That was only the downside.
A. F.
Fave place to head in the Brissy if i need my roti canai and nasi lemak fix. Also, I know it's not *that* healthy but get the crispy chicken skin and share with friends.
P. O.
Loved the food from here. Staff were very accommodating too
G. D.
Great food - the customer service is fantastic! The floor manager (Payal) does a wonderful job.
Will definitely return.
D. L.
Friendly staff, food portions are smaller than similar suburban venues but still filling, needs to have a waiting area for takeaway.
S. H.
Loved it here yet again...the most reliably consistent Malay food too date in Brisbane city, thankyou!
V. D.
Service can take a while considering busy times, and the food is as you would expect from Paparich - exactly as the pictures in the menu. Drinks aren't as good as the food.
G. A.
The wait is about 10-15 mins when busy but worth it. The food was amazing! Very easy to order just fill out order sheet, ring bell and give to staff 😀
B. H.
Food was great, serving time took a while. It was busy though. However each persons meal came out at very different times.
k. a.
Always have great dining experiences here in Pappa Rich. Awesome foods.
J. K.
Authentic Malaysian cuisine, good location, reasonable value for money. Usually attentive and fast service.
A. M.
Went there to get takeaway at nearly closing time but the staff were very accommodating. The Har Mee and Ais Kachang were both delicious.
P. K.
The food was good and authentic, they lost one star for doing the simple courtesey to split the bill, and other for having a 1.5% surcharge that is beyond the reasonable cost of processing the transaction.
M. h. S.
They have the best Malaysian food.
If you don’t mind the price. Thn this is the place for you.
J. Q.
Really delicious authentic food and an extensive menu. Quick service, not very personable but to be expected at busy times. Try the roti.
E.
Fresh orange juice
C. F.
Great food particularly beef rendang with roti ($15.90). Service is quite good in a restaurant that can get very busy
D.
My daughter loved the Roti Bomb, my wife loved the Nasi Lemak, I loved the Chicken Satay. Overall it was very good.
J. S.
Always a very satisfying dinner. A bit pricey but worth it for the tastes of home! Quick and friendly service.
S. B.
Great authentic cuisine. Get in early as it is really busy in the evenings on weekends. Furnishings and menus could do with an upgrade.
A. A.
To be honest this restaurant is the best. I love all food they made. Also the staffs are very friendly
N. D.
The portion sizes here are massive, it's delicious and you won't walk away hungry. Couldn't believe what I'd been missing when i finally went after talking about it so long.
M. B.
Called in here on a recent visit to Brisbane, Was enjoyable and price was good. A little crowed at times but that is because of good food I guess.
P. R.
Great range of excellent food, always busy at lunch time and so it can be a little bit of a rush to get you on and out.
M. K.
It's nice but it's overpriced for what you get
B. W.
Love the place. Roti Chanai is really tasty. The Sambal, curry and dhal are very tasty. Also love the tee tarik
A. B.
Their food is authentic Malaysian fare. Quality is high and prices are reasonable.
l. l.
Great staff and delicious food. Recommended!
A. X.
located upstairs in winter garden, tasty food, fast service, good Malaysian food. average priced, wish there is more meat in the dishes.
C. B.
I like their ordering system. It’s very busy and quality of their food is consistent. I like this Malaysian food franchise
M. M.
Always deliver.. thanks guys
M. I.
Really cheap and really tasty food. Some seating is a bit too close to others but other than that, it's a great place to eat.
n.
look , i came here tryint to make my father (blessed be his name ) a wealthier man. it didnt work in fact we lost a bit of money. but the chicken skins here are worth not owning a home. definitely comin back . yea.
D. C.

S. C.

M. B.
Called in here on a recent visit to Brisbane, Was enjoyable and price was good. A little crowed at times but that is because of good food I guess.
A. M.
Went there to get takeaway at nearly closing time but the staff were very accommodating. The Har Mee and Ais Kachang were both delicious.
j. k.
Amazing food in the menu... Love the roti canai
A. A.
Nice tasting vegetable laksa, however not many veggies! 3 slices of tomato and 3 pieces of zucchini is a bit stingy, especially when it’s the same price as the meat based laksa’s. Ample noodles and tofu.
