Persone embodies everything that is Modern Italian cuisine. Served with a level authenticity that is second to none, you will be searching for any excuse to return once more. The team at Persone are always customer focused and it shows. Service is friendly, professional and delivered promptly yet not overbearing or feeling intrusive. Prices are reflective of Quality, Service and Location. The location is stunning with views stretching out across to Southbank. The balcony is perfect spot to soak in the afternoon with a drink in hand. Brisbane, this is the best Italian you can find.

Great location, views, decor and staff. Food was average considering the prices. We had the lobster pasta and steak. Pasta was lacking flavour, steak was good but not $60 good. Portion sizes slightly small.

Fantastic! The food, wine, view. Flavours were wonderful. Natural oysters with lemoncello were to die for , pork belly was great too but the pork and veal meatballs had a full bodied tomato sauce I could have eaten as a main it was so good.

Christmas Day 2021- Unforgettable experience. Such thought went into delivering a day my family (age range from 16-60+) will cherish because of the brilliant food, service, atmosphere and personal touches we couldn't have expected. We had our own room and waiter (Hayden is a legend) and Manager Christopher had a way of making everyone feel appreciated. He went above and beyond to allow all ages to enjoy Christmas at "his" place- I say that because there is a magic story behind the scenes that truly allows an insight into how staff treasure their workplace and owner John Gambaro. John was also there simply ensuring everyone was catered for. He remembered me from 40 years ago which is a superhuman feat when you meet so many people. I know I've said a lot but I can't say enough about how special our day was at Persone.

Love it! The service was excellent! We ordered for the burrata, the polpette and the Angus eye fillet which was good. We also ordered for the cotoletta alla Milanese(crumbed veal cutlet) which was bleh!

Delcious food and excellent service. Great for special occasions. The view will improve when construction of Brisbane's public transport is finished as you can see a bit of the tram construction when sitting and eating next to the window. Not as noticeable during the night.

Great Italian Dining! Service was good and so is the food! We had a toddler with us but the staffs were very accommodating and made our dining experience comfortable and wonderful! The food was great especially the gnocchi! They have a good wine list. Great views of the river. Decor was slick with indoor and outdoor seating options. I’d like to give the restaurant full stars but there’s just something about the service that needs fine tuning. I made a reservation online and when I arrived the staff looked confused. She informed me that my friend had already arrived and walked me to a table with a stranger sitting there. I’m not sure what caused the miscommunication. I had to walk back out of the restaurant. It was a quiet Monday night and they had too many floor staff on. It was lovely they were attentive but it was border line too attentive in a not-so-good way. I’ll come back here again and maybe I’ll rewrite my review then.

Food above average not great, good service with a good view but not quite worth the price eg the octopus as antipasti at $36.50 and the main porchetta at $45.50. The pappardelle, octopus and burrata were good but the porchetta was salty. Overall, quite average experience.

Very nice evening with our energetic 2 year old. We were seated and greeted promptly and served quick by a lovely waitress. Food is very good and fairly priced. We ordered 6 plates to share and I can assure the quality of the food is very good. Negroni spot on with nice presentation. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for very good quality italian food and a versatile setting thats able to seat kids and groups but also able to provide an intimate setting for a couple. Will probably return again. Overall a very good experience and good meal. Well done.

I held a function for 20 people, absolutely everyone commented on the high standard of the food, the taste was divine. Incredible Italian meal options and wine pairings. I loved the ‘Carpaccio Di Manzo’ starter with raw beef which was perfectly flavour balanced with blackberries, smoked onions and ricotta. The Cotoletta Alla Milanese is some of the best crumbed veal cutlet I have tried, perfectly rare in the middle. The daily special of duck ragu was rich and flavourful but not the best I have had. A great spot for some after dinner drinks with friends as well.

Persone has every thing that you would need for Lunch, Desserts and Dinners. All of the food is amazing and incredibly tasty and delicious with every serve the right size for everyone one. When I visited Persone we where there for about two hours and thirty minutes with the time flying buy. All of the meals are well priced and everything is reasonably priced. The views from the restaurant are amazing with 180 degrees of south bank. Here is one of the best things about Persone. The first one is that the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the meals only took about 20 minutes and then they would be on the table smelling delicious and looking so tasty!! and the last one is that when you ask for something it only takes about 1 minute and then it will be there for example the bill we asked for it and then we received it very quickly. To all of the staff and chefs keep up all of the good work and meals and this restaurant will be so popular it will be come an iconic destination for tourists. Good job you need to be proud of your selfs and expect me to be coming back for lunch on the weekend.

Had a fabulous 10 course meal here with a friend who happened to have dietary requirements (gluten-free). The wait staff and kitchen could not have done more to accommodate, and nothing was too much trouble, even going so far as to alter their set menu with no additional charge or trouble. The wine selection was also well thought out and when the wind kicked up, they were able to move us from the balcony to an inside table as soon as one became available. The staff here are an asset, and both the quality of the food and the quality of the service will have us returning.

Food was amazing! We had the pasta and some entree's all were lovely. We sent a request with out reservation which was fulfilled to our delight. Great service!

The dishes we ordered were delicious. Staff were very friendly. We had the Angus beef steak, chocolate desserts, and salmon and burrata appetizers. However, they charged us $7 for water. I think it is a bit rude to charge for water. I've been to several top rated Michelin stars restaurants in Europe before. They never charge for water. If they are going to charge for water, they should tell us in advance. We had to wait for very long time for our dinner. It was late at night, hardly many customers so why took so long? E.g. We waited over 15 minutes just to bring out the dessert menu. We ordered Burrata for our appetite. They forgot our order. Eventually the appetizer Burrata came out after our main course (Angus beef). The whole meal sequence was out of order. In a fine dining that's not acceptable. The waiter promised us they will not charge us for Burrata but still charged us $28.50 for burrata. If you promised something, you should keep your promise. That's the way to do a good business.

Persone is next level Italian dining. Exceptional service with the best Italian food I’ve had thus far. Shout out to our lovely waitress, Chrissie who helped us immensely with our dining questions. We ordered Polpette and fried squid off the antipasti menu as entree - the meatballs were juicy, complex in taste and delightful in texture. The tomato sauce similarly complex without a trace of acidity. The squid was not chewy but not too soft either. With the fennel salad and aioli, the saltiness was perfectly balanced. We enjoyed our meals with a bottle of Astoria Lounge Prosecco which is well worth the modest $60 a bottle. For mains, my companion enjoyed the ravioli which was a spring onion and lamb filling with butter sauce. All flavours complex and complementary. I had the squid ink spaghetti, having had a similar dish at another local restaurant I wanted to compare. Spoiler: nothing compares. Instead of making the sauce of squid ink (which I had previously, resulting in my teeth turning black), the spaghetti itself is made fresh on premises with squid ink, providing the flavours and the colour without the consequences. With a cherry tomato sauce that had notes of garlic, dill and sherry, the prawns were well balanced. We were too full to humour the desert menu but we are keen to dine again! This is a fantastic fine dining venue that is affordable.

Amazing place awesome service. Found this place by chance and we decided to test it out. My partner has a range of diary requirements and we informed our waitress. Within a couple of min she had spoken to the chef and they adjusted the meal as needed. Amazing meal and just perfect. What a date night it was. We will be back for sure. thank you for an amazing night. If you have allergies you can absolutely go here and they will do everything they can to cater for you.

An awesome venue over-looking North Quay toward South-Bank. Breath-taking views of the river in the fading light. Located on level two just outside of the W Brisbane which is one block from the Queen Street Mall and Casino. The Food and Beverage staff were excellent, operating in a space jam-packed full of people. Nothing was too hard for them, both kind and courteous. Whilst I didn’t actually get to the restaurant the food that was served up was quality and their choice of wines and beers excellent. I’d highly recommend this place for a function/wedding.

We were very excited to try this restaurant because the menu had cotoletta and not many Italian restaurants in Brisbane serve this dish and it was bloody fantastic! In fact, all the dishes we had were really good, especially the gnocchi and polpette - delicious! The only thing for us, was that the food was a little on the saltier side but this could just be our personal taste buds! The venue was beautiful and the customer service was very good! We would love to dine here again.

The service was average also, it took a long time to order, also for both courses to come out (2.5 hours we were there) and the waiter didn't come around very often for water or drinks and left us waiting. Came here with my family of 4. Great night and what a spectacular view. We were seated on the balcony, with direct view of the southbank, and victoria bridge. The oysters were fresh, and the octopus super tasty. The beef steak was cooked just right, but would suggest to skip the pork belly - it was over-done and too dry. Pastas for kids were great (as I was told) and good portion size. Staffs very friendly and attentive.

It was our first time at Persone. And it won't be our last! The whole experience was very satisfying. First we were greeted by the Maitre D and taken to our table. The view was amazing. Marjolaine and Andrew, our waiters were very professional and knowledgeable. They told us about the specials and gave us some recommendations about the menu. But first we started with some cocktails, which came out of the ordinary and where perfectly balanced. Then we ordered the entree special which was a squid crudo with grapefruit and the burrata with heirloom tomatoes. Both entrees were incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. All the ingredients worked magically together. For mains we had the eye fillet and the parpadelle al ragu. The eye fillet was cooked to perfection and came with a delicious smokey eggplant puree. The parpadelle al ragu was very tasty and the slow cooked meat melt in my mouth making that dish a perfect 10. For dessert, the chocolate declinations was spot on, with different shapes, flavours and textures of chocolate. I don't know if the chef is Italian but he/she understands what Italian food is about. Passion, authenticity, and generosity. Well done!

I really wanted to love persone. The waiters were genuine, friendly and attentive and the view was fantastic. For views and service I definitely rate 5 stars unfortunately for me the food let them down. The portion sizes are generous and I could see that a lot of care and attention went into the presentation however I ordered the vegetarian pizza option and found it was extremely salty. I think perhaps each element (eggplant, caramelized onions, zucchini ) may have been individually salted in prep -unfortunately this meant altogether it was much to much and almost all other flavor was lost. I will say the pizza base was obviously homemade which I appreciated and the araccini balls were nicely crispy on the outside. My dinner companion enjoyed his pappardelle but sadly for me as a vego it was a bit of a miss.

Disappointing given the high price point. Charred octopus to the point of inedible and literally burnt to a crisp. Lack of waiter attention to place orders despite lots of staff scurrying around all night. Had to ask three times for the gluten free bread which was delivered after entre was served. Best part was the amazing panoramic views across to Southbank. Not our usual experience as long time diners at Gambaros in Caxton Street. This could hurt the brand. 😓

Just celebrated Christmas 2019 with sit down lunch at Persone. Outstanding menu, catered for all dietary challenges with first class alternatives, not just anything. Service was great, Carol Singers, Santa, Gingerbread House, great gifts for children, Italian biscuit package to take home. We have been going out for Christmas lunch all over Qld for the last 20 years. This was our best experience ever. Well done Staff and Gambaro’s. We will certainly return.

Pros: lovely upmarket vibe, quality food and fantastic range of wine. The bread is amazing! Cons: There were very few vegetarian options so I went for the special which was a truffle and cream spaghetti. When it arrived it was literally heaped with truffle, to the point of ridiculousness. When we went to pay, we found out that my rather simple (and small, compared to the other dishes) bowl of pasta was $55. I understand that truffles are quite expensive but no reasonable person expects LITERALLY SPOONFULS of shaved truffle on an otherwise plain bowl of pasta, to the point of sheer ridiculousness. It really put a dampener on an otherwise pleasant evening.

Amazing! The service was top notch - classy, without being snobish and attentive, without feeling crowded. The food was sublime - I couldn't fault it. We had the scallops for entree and the lamb ravioli and cotoletta for our mains. All three dishes were beautifully presented and soooo tasty - I could have eaten the scallops and ravioli twice over! The wine list met my tastes with wines and sparkling from Australia and Europe. The price tag was to be expected - $$$ for 5*. I would recommend this place and can't wait to go again!

Absolutely beautiful food! We arrived quite late and despite not having a reservation and the place being very busy our wonderful hostess Barbara found us a table. She let us know that the kitchen was behind at recommended we stay at the bar for a little while . On finding that I was very hungry, she brought us the complementary focaccia and olive oil that we were supposed to have at the table for us at the bar. Two beautiful negronis lolater we were lead to our table. The restaurant is lovely wit a big open veranda so you feel you are outside. We ordered the pappardele ragout and the special that was rabbit pasta, a side of raddicio salad and broccoli. It was all perfect and so full of flavour. The food took a little while but as Barbara managed our expectations we were fine with it Great place and I couldn't recommend it more

Well what do you expect from the Gambaro family. Well presented and located, with a fitout and seating that meets a very comfortable, modern and relaxing standard. While very large, the service was efficient, friendly and professional. The wine list must be one of the better ones in Brisbane. The food is of course, casual Italian dining variety. Lovely. Great flavours and a good selection. A location that is great to do business and easy to entertain in - maybe a little large for the more discrete romantic dinners - but the food and wine will cover that off nicely. A great Brisbane restaurant.

You feel a bit posh at this joint...slender receptionist and slick waiters but the bloody noise factor is through the roof. Having said that,I really praise the head waiter for his calm under pressure. Funny thing was,I ordered barra and,you wouldn't believe it,they served salmon. It took me at least 15 minutes to realise the mistake. But,bloody hell!!...it was the best I've ever tasted. The whole experience was fantastic. They bumbled through with grace and humour.

A favourite place for my pasta fix. Located in Brisbane Quarter, Persone has a nice chilled atmosphere with friendly staff, good food and a nice wine collection. Additionally, It has a loverly view of the river, which is very enjoyable at night. For those just wanting a drink, there is a bar area, which is also very nice.

Tucked inside the W hotel at 300 George St Brissy is this lovely spacious italian eatery, very professional, very prompt, and very very delicious. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and made us both feel very welcome, great knowledge of the menu, and if they werent sure they doubled checked and got straight back to us with an answer, we had the SPINACH GNOCCHI with goats curd and the RAVIOLI with spanner crab bisque and WOW both were absolutely delicious.
