Had a nice birthday meal here with Family, lots of interesting dishes to try, price per serve was a little high but the quality of the food was excellent.
F. T.
OMG! SENSATIONAL TASTE, awesome food, great service. Definitely going back. #repeatcustomers
The Kung Tung seafood buffet very tasty, the sauce was amazing.
Husband was a little unsure of the crispy prawns to begin with but definitely loved eating them once he got used to them looking at him, 🤣😂.
Want to try more of the menu.
Well done

Good atmosphere Thai restaurant which worth to have 4 stars.
Good price, Looking good presentation food, service.
However foods is probably 3.5 stars which I never put this score in Thai food.
Beef was not good in beef salad
Chicken was a bit smell and not soft in chicken cashew,
Other than that I enjoyed atmosphere, service and other foods (Pad Thai, Tom yum, mix seafood , entries is ok).
I will may be come back to try other dishes or
Drinks!

we had Tomyam soup, Chicken Sate and Some pork with Rap....It was great but little bit salty for me.
K.
Fantastic food with reasonable prices. Only downside is they seemed understaffed, with one waitress running around flustered which impacted the quality of service (long wait time to be seated, another long wait time to be served, manner in which we were served for example). But the food was worth it.

Celebrated my niece birthday here with 14 of us. The food was good especially the soft shell crabs, Pad Thai, and lots more. My order was salty, I told the server and they cooked me a new one plus they gave me a complimentary. That is what I call service and for that I gave them 5 star
J. W.
From the "Say One Mo" cocktail to the mango panacotta via thai beef salad, soft shell crab, curry puffs and pulled pork roti's it was all.. SPECTACULAR!
Great service and nice atmosphere.
A must have "foodie" experience👍👍👍👍👍
Please add more Tas/Aust wine to your already impressive drink list
I. B.
The service was below average, the waitress who served us had the enthusiams of a dead possum to say the least and told us contradictory things from what the menu was saying ( cocktails option of being served in jugs or not). Anyway this the food was really nice.
C. Y.
WOW! What I really liked about this restaurant is that they provide plastic gloves so you can eat with your hands and take sensory experience to another level. It’s the best way to eat seafood! I will be back here next week.
L. D.
Service was amazing! Very accommodating and helpful with special dietary requirements!
The prawns in the mixed seafood stir-fry were some of the best I have ever had and the service was super fast!
Will definitely be returning!
M. O.
Food is superb and great value for money. Friendly staff, will definitely come back sometime!
J. F.
Definitely not your average neighbourhood Thai takeaway. The ambience is quirky and cool. The menu hosts the usual suspects, however, there are plenty of creative nuances to make things intriguing. They had an entire menu dedicated to the "vegan way" which was hella cool (and tasty). We enjoyed all the dishes we tried and would definitely recommend dropping by if you're in the mood for some Thai in the city.

Walked into an amazing table set up (complimentary) for a surprise birthday dinner I booked. The staff service was 100% first class. The food quality was perfection in it's presentation, portion and taste. It just blew my mind how on point they were with every single thing!? The cocktail drinks were exotic flavours and delicious. Honestly we felt like we were royalty haha. Truly a premium restaurant at its finest. Thank you for just existing Phat Boy!!
T.
Amazing food, loved the decor and atmosphere, and very well priced for the quality of food. Cocktails were great; however there can be a bit of a wait.
Be warned though: if they find out it's your birthday you'll get the whole restaurant singing as they bring you cake!
H. N.
This is a big venue and decor is alright. With some many good Thai restaurants in Brisbane city, the food here is decent but nothing spectacular in comparison. I probably won’t rush to come back here anytime soon. I hope they improve.
J. A.
The ambiance is very awesome 💕🥰 food are 💯 , gonna be my favourite restaurant now 😜
T. M.
Got seated straight away and waited 20mins to get a drink order in. But the food made up for it.

Recently we dined at the newly opened authentic thai restaurant at the Brisbane Quarter precinct. Owners of Phat Elephantand Chai Thai have done it again. Absolutely loved the restaurant and loved the menu options. Found the prices to be very reasonable and the food was great too followed by sweet customer service.
We started our night with Mixed Entree which had duck spring roll, crispy school prawn, chicken satay skewers and san choi bow. Every single element was perfect. Absolutely loved how it was displayed and the cute little dips in mortar. So adorable.
The rest of our meals were excellent as well. Loved how the Pad Thai was in an egg net and it was the first time l had a roast duck laksa. Great laksa soup base and the roast duck was beyond perfect.
Meal breakdown:
* Mixed Entree
* Chicken Pad Thai in Egg Net
* Roast Duck Laksa Noodle
* Crispy Pork Fried Rice
Overall Phat Boy definitely delivered some great flavours and great service. Can’t wait to visit again and try some other amazing looking dishes.

One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to in Brisbane. The prawn pad Thai, soft shell crab curry, massaman curry and crispy chicken green curry were all equally delicious. Thank you to our waitress Destiny for making it such a wonderful night! We will definitely be back.
H. A.
Not the best first impression but they made up for it with the goods. We made a booking for dinner on a Saturday night thinking it’d be packed but the restaurant’s lacklustre interior made it look empty from the bare and overly wide open spaces.
Five minutes after placing our orders, a group of 4 got seated at the table beside us. Not long after, their table got served all their dishes at once despite having placed their orders way after we did. After waving down a waiter to check on our orders, they realised they’ve forgotten our table and apologised for the long wait. Not cool.
Luckily the food was their redemption - amazing Pad Thai and Duck Curry. Dessert was also good but presentation was confusing as the Mango Mousse Sticky Rice got served in a two-piece ensemble where you had to constantly lift the glass cone of mousse to get to the mango and ice cream underneath. The sticky rice portion was tiny and was not the usual glutinous rice used in traditional Thai dishes or in the other photos people had posted previously. Also, not cool.
Overall, food was good but service and ambience could use a little bit more polishing. We’d give them a second chance and come back to taste (and test) the rest of the menu. Thanks for the free spring rolls, guys!
M. M.
Lovely atmosphere for dinner. The prices are affordable and the serving size reflects this. The presentation of the food and drink was nice as well. The only downside was our entrees and mains arrived before our cocktails which was a disappointment as I like to enjoy some of the drink before the food. When I asked the waitress how long more for drinks, she said cocktails can take 20+ minutes. Would recommend for affordable Thai food 😊
K. C.
Foods here are quite ok. I ordered Pad See Eww chicken which was a bit greasy. Please reduce amount of cooking oil and make it a bit charred to get better flavour.
School prawn batter is alright but add a bit more red curry paste it will taste better.
Duck spring roll needs some work. Texture is alright but could double down on seasonings. I could only taste cinnamon powder. For chicken satay, try use chicken thigh fillet. It tastes so much better than chicken breast.
Location is great and quite prime which expected to be more expensive. Services staff are friendly.
K. C.
Service was involved and friendly.
Sauces with the entree were bland, but the actual food items were done well (only thing to note poorly was the duck spring rolls - what duck?!).
Massaman curry was very good. Pad Thai was fine. Pork and vegetables was a bit too salty.
Fried ice cream coating way too thick, and the ice cream too small and not cold enough to handle the frying process.
Tea was a bit too sweet to enjoy. Coconut was fine.
Good value for money.
D. N.
Good value Thai food. Nothing fancy about decor or service but tasty and quick. Good range of drinks.
D. V.
Lovely restaurant conveniently located in the heart of the city. Service with a smile and friendly staff.
Cuisine so tasty and fresh
T. B.
We booked lunch on a Tuesday for a large group. The food was excellent - especially the Kung Tung specialty. Service was unfortunately not as attentive as it should have been, especially as the restaurant emptied and we were the only table left. We had to go and find staff who by then were more focused on cleaning duties.
J. Z.
My colleagues and I come here for team lunches regularly and the service, food and atmosphere are all outstanding! The staff are incredibly accommodating and will do anything they can to make your visit enjoyable.
Food is absolutely delish, caters to a wide range of dietary requirements and is extremely well priced.
The online booking system makes visiting an absolute breeze as well - if you're in the city, I highly recommend this venue!
M. C.
First time in Phat boy Brisbane and you have to go! This cozy restaurant has left the best impression, hospitable hosts and delicious dishes. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming . The staff is also very friendly, plus it’s all an affordable price. I recommend to everyone, we will definitely be back again. Thank you!!!
G. S.
The food was great, all the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I celebrated my birthday here and I felt very special on the day we visited. Table was prepared, setup for a birthday celebration with decorations at no extra cost. We will come again soon!
P. A.
Great night out with family and friends. Enjoying Thailand cruises at our backyard. Go check this place if you want to experience Thailand food
I. R.
Had my 28th birthday here and they were very accommodating and everyone that served us were so nice and friendly. The food was amazing too!! All of us enjoyed our meal and the price isnt bad at all. Thanks again for your great service.
L. M.
We spent our daughter’s 19th birthday at this fabulous restaurant. The food was quick even though it was Friday’s night.
Nice service. The lady staff who seated us was very attentive. She asked if we were celebrating birthday and then brought the birthday cake as a surprise for our daughter. Balloon decoration is also a plus! 👍👍
S. B.
Thank you immensely to Phat Boy for the amazing service and delicious food! The staff’s attentiveness to patrons was certainly one of the many great facets of this establishment. I will definitely be returning!
H. P.
Absolutely loved Phat Boy, highly recommend. I had the build your own roti wrap and pad see ew and both were very good. Meals are quite big too.
Great atmosphere and service.
I. C.
Food was amazing!! however the booking was wrong when we arrived. When to order a cocktail at 7:30 and they said they were not taking anymore orders when the bar shuts at 8. ordered vodka sunrise and they came out with vodka orange juice. Better service
M. R.
We will surely come back. Love the ambience, Good Pricing and Food are Tasty. The KungTung is for the win. Highly recommended. Friendly Staff, accomodate my short notice request of cake for my friends whose celebrating her birthday.
B. L.
Had the Massaman Curry and Pulled Pork Roti. Everything was so flavourful and meat just fell right off the bone. The service was quick and friendly, absolutely loved it.
S. L.
Very busy venue!!! Nice experience overall. Food was nice. Big portions. Somehow our cocktails came after we got mains. Love that they do split bills.
Service was lovely but probably need more staff.
B. N.
Went during a quiet weekday lunchtime - the whole 1st floor was not too busy but I expect it to pick up once the associated tower being constructed is finished. Service was friendly and attentive. They have buttons on each table to flag a waiters attention- good idea and saves the distraction of trying to make eye contact. Food probably a 3.5 star. We ordered stir fry pork dishes which could have been hotter and pork skin crispier - acceptable enough to come back but didn’t jump out at me. I can see the potential.
N. M.
Such delicious food and drinks. Not to mention, they have a full vegan options menu with many wonderful options! I loved the San Choy Bau and the Pad Thai.
L. B.
Fantastic we came to the restaurant on the 4.9.2021 we were a big group and were celebrating a birthday.
Great staff ✔️
Tasty reasonably priced food ✔️
Delicious cocktails ✔️
Birthday decorations ✔️
Split bills ✔️
Thankyou so much for making my birthday special 🙂
D. H.
I went there on 1st Sept with my 2 friends. We ordered Kung tung, Som Tan and rice noodle entre (don't remember the name). All foods were delicious, we loved the som tam presentation, so unique and traditional. Kung tung is Asian street food experience in the fancy restaurant. I'll definitely come back with big group so we try other foods. The waiters were helpful and very friendly an well approached to customer. Good job!
c. p.
Lovely environment and friendly stuffs, the price are more acceptable than I imagine in such a nice restaurant. The food is also desirable, love the thai milk tea, not much places in Brisbane have this while it’s the most important thing I would order in a Thai restaurant lol. Anyway my new favourite thai place in Brisbane. Will be back with my family soon!
A. l.
This place has a really good ambience! Dont see that a lot around Brisbane. We got DIY san choy bao (forgive my spelling) which is pretty good. The duck curry is okay. A bit hard to eat you need a knife but sauce and flavor of the duck was good. Service was average. Good price so will be back if I’m in town.
R. A.
The menu was terrific, as was the food. Enormous portions, plenty left over to take home. Get out and eat Brisbane - they really need more patrons.
N. T.
Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so I decided to try it out for dinner early last week. Unfortunately, I was rejected at the entrance. I was shocked to see that there was only one waitress working the tables and the entrance. I was rejected because the restaurant was severely understaffed and was not able to serve anymore customers. What a shame...
M. W.
Great Thai restaurant tucked away upstairs in one of Brisbane's newer developments. Good ambience, great service and food. Surprisingly well priced too.
E. V.
Food is excellent. 5/5
Fast service.
Staff are very polite and approachable.
They helped me organised our staff lunch, which I appreciated very much.
We will definitely come back here again

Amazing food. Fun, modern atmosphere. Service was great too. Staff sang happy birthday and brought cake, sparklers and balloons. Made our dinner really special.
C. R.
Booked Phat Boy for a belated Birthday dinner with friends. Myself and a friend ordered the feed me feast which was delicious. The rest of the table ordered a main each.
All the food was fresh and full of flavour and came out in a timely fashion. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Will definately return soon.
L. B.
Visited here on Thursday for lunch and ordered the Penang Soft Shell Crab Curry and beef rib massaman curry and I must say the soft shell crab curry was amazing but unfortunately the beef rib wasn't great.
D. G.
Went to this place for lunch and it was amazing!
Having thai food and 3 consecutive days and I can safely this was by far the best Thai food.
It is very busy and hence quite noisy so if you are expecting somewhere quiet place to go, please don't go here.
Staff are exceptional and friendly even at busy hours.
I would certainly go back!
C. L.
Good food, drinks and good vibes! The only downside is the DIY papaya salad, the presentation is inconvenient (big and hard to mix without a bowl) and instructions on putting the salad together is unclear. Still an enjoyable experience nonetheless!
J. L.
Great little place for a work lunch. They can take pre-orders so you don't need to wait too long for your food. If your a vegan or vegetarian they have a special menu just for you. Just let the staff know and they'll bring it to the table.
R. Y.
Very good food - large portions warning! Excellent service above and beyond the call of duty. Reasonably priced. Will definitely try to bring family and friends back
J. D.
Great menu, being able to order ahead made our lunch time visit fit our break time perfectly
D. S.
Great location, quick service and very reasonable pricing! However, the food was nothing beyond ordinary. We had higher expectations considering the location but it was nothing memorable. The service was quick, but nothing personable (i.e. not checking in to see how the meals were, seeing if we wanted more drinks or dessert). Some food items were not hot, only lukewarm. Would recommend this place maybe somewhere for lunch but there was nothing from last night experience to bring me back.
P. C.
Phat Boy hosted my Birthday dinner and they even went out of their way to hang up a foil balloon birthday banner! Their food and hospitality was brilliant!
S. T.
First time at Phat boy restaurant tonight. The seafood shared menu for four people was awesome and on point. The only down fall of it, prawns was not added to our seafood menu (supposed too) that we had no idea of until we saw another customers exact same meal as my group ordered. We asked that customer for the name of their meal and found out it’s the same meal we order but we never got prawns. We advised the staff regards to the prawns and we received a discount which we appreciated.
We also had mix of x2 Samosas, x2 spring roll and x2 chicken on a stick and can’t remember the name of the other x2 foods for entree. Loved every bit of the entree but the price 🤔 I would say is pricy. Basically x8 finger foods for the price of $18.
Rate for the waitress tonight is 👎
I wouldn’t mind going back there again because the seafood was on point 💯 just double check what you ordered is correct.
T. J.
I love the food the staff are pretty cool Some of the tables are wobbly And I just thing for the price of the menus they could at least fix the tales
D. S.
Crispy pork belly was awesome . Large plate and great value. Will definitely return.
D. B.
Food & service 5 star.
Only glitch was, out of 5 of us, my lunch came out after everyone on our table had nearly finished eating, other incorrect meals were brought to our table but not what I had ordered, just a mix up I guess, otherwise it was great! Bit of a noisy space but very pleasant otherwise!
A. K.
Delicious food, highly recommend, set menu is definitely value for money and the servings were quite generous. Went with a girlfriend will definitely be back with hubby
H. S.
I booked for my husbands birthday, we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. The food was outstanding we ordered the famous 'Kung Tung' for two which was delicious full of flavour and just the right amount of heat ! We also tried majority of the 10 cocktails which were very delicious and fresh, top 3 include 'the passion', 'will you marry me' and 'pina colda'. We will definitely be back and have been telling family and friends about how delicious the food is and how great the staff are !
M. J.
Went for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Service and food was pretty fast initially but as it got busier they seemed to struggle. Food was nothing special, with the menu containing all the staples you could expect to find and your local takeaway joint - curry puffs, spring rolls, satay chicken, Pad Thai, Massaman. Unfortunately your local takeaway joint probably does them better and cheaper, but Phat Boy’s offerings still ticked the box.
We also ordered a couple of cocktails which were quite good.
A. G.
Great food and great prices, yet the meals were pretty ordinary. Was lacking the crispy in any of the pork, which was a bit tough and stringy. Flavours were great yet detail like the cooking of the rice was missing.
E. Y.
The food was delicious, although the soft shell crab with basil and chilli was slightly on the sweet side for me.
We had a group of 7, and it would be great if the dishes all came out at around the same time. Atmosphere can get a bit noisy during lunchtime.
D. D.
Good place and venue for Birthday, Christmas Party and other occasions. Good services, good staff and hygiene applied.
V. B.
Delicious food especially enjoyed the diy 5 spice pulled pork roti wrap. Finished with mango pannacotta, warm tapioca with lychee ice cream and an espresso martini. Quick, friendly service in a lively atmosphere. Reasonable prices for top quality food.
M. R.
Great vibe and excellent food. The service was very good and we really enjoyed the food but the only issue was the size of the crab pieces in the Kung Tung, they were much too small and impossible to get much meat out. We actually have some doubt as to whether that size is a legal catch?
Once the staff found out that we were celebrating a couple of birthdays they then went out of their way to make it even more fun for us.
T. V.
Had a fantastic lunch at Phat Boy on Wednesday. Organised to pre-order and all food was fresh and fantastic. Food was brought out in plenty of time so we made it back to the office in time. Loved the curry puffs.
R.
Very tasty food, good service in a nice setting.
E. Q.
Super fast service! We had a table of 10 and everything came out so fast and every single one of us loved our meals and cocktails. The portion sizes were big and meals were delicious. Splitting the bill was easy and the staff were lovely.
K. L.
Every meal I've had here is lovely, great atmosphere and portion sizes are very generous. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.
A. B.
The food was actually really good, and the set menu options are really good value. The venue was very loud. The service was not great, orders took a long time to come out and were confused. Little things like the staff would talk across the table and across other customers rather than walk around the table which was disappointing.
A. M.
This is the best Thai food I have had in Brisbane, and best restaurant experience I have had in a long time. Staff were so attentive and accommodating to our needs, especially the kind and friendly male waiter who was working tonight (15/8), he deserves 5 stars alone! We got the thai feast, and a few cocktails and it was well worth the money! Will definitely be back.
M. K.
Great food, customer service and atmosphere. Was able to order in advance as we were a large group. Vegan options are great and all dietary requirements were met.
A. L.
Fantastic price for the quality of food.
Would definitely recommend
V. J.
Loved the food and the reasonable prices👍. Great restaurant for groups and families. Will definitely be back to try some of their cocktails along with some other dishes next time.
R. M.
This is a popular Thai style restaurant , and for good reason. The menu is well presented and interesting. We all had different entrees and mains and they were all delicious. One duck sweet potato dish was a bit hot and the waitress brought some extra coconut cream which solved the problem. It was a really enjoyable evening of great food.
A. B.
Lovely meal... Reasonably priced and delicious flavors. Our cocktail jug took over 25 mins to arrive, but they did take it off the bill. Well, they told us they did, but when we got the bill it was still on there. We got it sorted, but rookie error. It was a shame it to do so long as we would have ordered loads more drinks, but we had finished our entrees by the time we actually got it. The pork roti tacos were delicious 😋
J. S.
Had a gathering of 20 people at PhatBoy on a weekday lunch. Pre-ordered the food, all came out quickly. They managed to get us in and out quickly as we had a meeting to run to and also split the bill! Great service and very smooth experience for such a large group! Thanks !!
M. M.
Pretty good food and presentation. Good lunch. Thank you
I. J.
The staff were really helpful & friendly in arranging the birthday surprise! The foods were yummy and seafood were fresh! Loving it & surely will come again.
P. A.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my wife. We sat with a large Happy Birthday banner at our table and the staff were great. Thoroughly enjoyed the five dishes we ordered, decent portions and certainly a meal to remember. The staff even came out with a slice of birthday cake to Happy birthday music playing in the background! Will definitely come back again. Thank you Phat Boy Brisbane for making our night a great occasion.
J. H.
I had a wonderful birthday dinner with my friends at this place! I only mentioned that it was gonna be a birthday dinner when I made a reservation but didn’t ask for anything specific, nor told Phat Boy who the birthday girl was exactly, but you guys somehow worked it out. I was surprised with balloons hanging up above us, and a little birthday cake at the end of the dinner. The food was absolutely amazing AND affordable, my friends and I loved it! Will definitely come back again:) Thank you so much for your service!
I. M.
Absolute 5 STARS
These guys are amazing ! I had my 21st birthday lunch at Phat Boy and I was pleasantly surprised. Such beautiful food and the staff were so lovely with smiles all around! They set up balloons for me and a piece of cake and played a happy birthday song for me. It was so enjoyable and I 100% recommend this place for amazing thai food and celebration !
D. C.
We had 2 great meals here recently in Brisbane. Super fresh & tasty - hence why we returned for a second time! Will come again next time we're in Brisbane for sure!
C. K.
Great atmosphere, good serving, medium spicy pork is not spicy at all by the way but the flavour was still there. I find the Pad Thai a bit bland but that could be just different taste buds from different regions of where the chef is from, perhaps. Extra point for having buzzer on the table to call for service. Delicious fresh Thai coconut available. Fried ice cream dessert was too much of the dough than the ice cream. The sago coconut milk dessert was delicious.
A. A.
We celebrated our daughters law admission here and the table area was decorated lovely. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Very great pricing as well. Super happy all round.
V. L.
I can't remember the last time I saw Pandan Rice on a menu- I was so happy to eat here!
The tofu is amazing too
B. J.
Good atmosphere and service . The meals are generous with plenty of options .
S. M.
Let’s start with first impressions. As you walk into the restaurant you get that feeling of a large Thai marketplace. We were greeted and taken to our seats where the waitress informed us of the service button that we could push when ready to place an order. Love or hate the service button as you may. As an ex flight attendant I can tell you now they are an ingenious way of making sure you’re heard and there’s no rude waving or clicking of fingers. In a restaurant of this size I think it’s a very clever feature. Now the reason we are here is to try this hyped up Thai restaurant and what better way then by ordering the banquet. We ordered banquet 2 for three people and it was so filling we had left overs to feed at least another two people. The food was tasty, fresh and full of flavour. The entree sauces could be served in bigger ramekins. The mains could come out all at once or if the waitress explained they are brought out one at a time then confusion could be spared. We thought they forgot our salad but it’s just how they bring out the food. They still proceeded to give us a discount on the bill which was very kind of them. The food was delicious and I would definitely come back again. Price wise it was very affordable at $39.95 a head. I will be back 🍲
A. S.
This is a regular lunch spot for our team at work. Great menu, quick service, wonderful food.
C. J.
Friendly service and amazing food and cocktails I booked the table for my friend. We had a wonderful time with incredible food and cocktails. The service team was really nice they arranged the big surprise with free birthday cake to birthday girl. We pin this restaurant as our favorite!
Highly recommend for big group and couple
H. K.
Ordinary taste of the food. They had the promo paired with Liven but I couldn’t pay with the app at all as it kept showing gift card API not recognized - quite disappointed really. Like others have said, could have get probably cheaper thai food for similar taste but just the venue in CBD to hangout with friends.
F. W.
Yum dinner with good vegetarian and gluten free options for coeliac
S. H.
Have been twice with two different large groups for a dinner and a lunch. Both meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend for groups. One tiny concern was that we were hoping to have a fairly late lunch and it does close from 2.30pm (on weekdays at least) so we had to have our lunch a bit earlier than we would have liked, but we were allowed to sit after we have finished our meal while we finished our drinks without being rushed out the door so it was totally fine.
A. S.
Great location food is alright.
L. S.
Booked a table of 6 for a birthday lunch for a colleague. Arrived to balloons and a happy birthday sign! (Amazing). At the end of lunch staff brought out a slice of birthday cake with candles and sparklers. The staff popped poppers when we finished. It was fantastic. The team were lovely, the birthday girl was stoked and the food was delicious. What more could you want?
W. C.
The duck spring rolls and curry puff entrees were pretty good. The Kung Tung was fun, looked good and was absolutely delicious!
Everything that came out of the kitchen to the tables around us looked great - am keen to go back and try something different next time!
Wait staff were attentive and looked after us very well - many thanks!
T. F.
The food was amazing and the cocktails were really yummy, only thing to fault was mine and my partners food and drinks kept coming out a different times.
R. N.
Great place, good food and service at very reasonable prices
c. m.
My family and I enjoyed every food. The crews are very friendly. My birthday was made extra special thanks to the staffs who exerted effort for our reservation! We didn’t expect it.. T’was a celebration to remember. Highly recommended!
M. L. J.
The food is amazing and value was surprisingly good.
M. C.
Such a delicious restaurant. Food was out within 20 minutes. So yummy. Cant wait to go again
I. M.
Love this place, the food is to die for! I’ve been there twice and will be back with friends nxt week! Is 1 of my favourite restaurants in Brisbane thank you

Phat Boy offers some different menu to it’s older sibling, Phat Elephant, which is also a favourite of ours. As some have said, the service was quite slow when we were there despite it being a weeknight and plenty of spare tables. However, with the exception of the duck spring rolls, all other dishes we ordered tasted great! The crispy chicken with green curry was the highlight for me, as well as the school prawns.
Egg net chicken Pad Thai was good. Massaman curry went really well with the sweet potato. Can never go wrong with pork belly & kailan.
The fitout was good and it being spaced out allows functions and bigger groups to choose this venue for any special occasions.
Have booked to go again for a birthday in a few weeks time and can’t wait to try the other offerings!
I think if the turn around of food and staff attention could be faster in response, it’d make it even better.

Had mixed Entree and Pad thai chicken. quite disappointing. maybe not visit again.
J. L.
We had a great dinning experience, the staff was friendly and the food was great. We highly recommend the Tom Yum soup the flavour was so nicely balanced and the Kung Tung. We will definitely be back.
J. B.
Go-to for any social event! Amazing food and incredible service. The staff went over and above for birthday celebrations last visit. Recommend the Kung Tung and any of the cocktails!
B. W.
Food was delicious, serving sizes were fantastic and service was great. We will definitely come back again.
T. P.
Great meal, good service and a nice vibe. :)
We had the Kung Tung feast and were not disappointed! The big juicy prawns and mussels were excellent, great fun and a good night out.
C. T.
Great service. Great concept with slightly different food from all the Thai restaurants in Brisbane. We ordered Kung Tung, the seafood dish for 2. Plenty and delicious seafood for 2. Sauce was a little too salty. Mussels, clams, squid and corns were cooked perfectly, crabs and some prawns were not that fresh. Similar to boiling crabs in the US but they place the seafood on plastic covers instead of butchers papers as the papers soak up the sauce. Room was really loud, the sound seems to bounce of the wall making it hard to have conversation.
It was a good 1st time experience at Phat Boy. Would go again to try the other dishes.

Only giving 3stars because all staff were nice,The manager asked me to come in for 2hr work trial, but she asked me to leave after 50mins claiming I was doing work trial unsupervised, she said she will text me in few days for a supervise work trial, never contacted me back,I left msg to manager asking when I can do the supervise work trial,No response,it was at that point I assume she wanted only Thai workers,if that was the case ,could of at least allow me to finish the 2hr work trial before letting me go as I was enjoying the work.
M. L.
We had an evening experience and the 3 stars would be a 2 if not for the excellent cocktails. Service was quick, too quick. Mains and entree arrived at the same time. No need as was not busy. Combined entree was nothing special and the chicken skewers were overcooked. Duck and Mandarin salad was just ok without being special and the pork belly was similar. Cocktails at $18 each a touch pricy but were the star of the dinner although there was a few minutes between them arriving even though ordered tigether. $93 or thereabouts for 2 coctails, 2 mains and the combination entree. Apart from the cocktails this was a very ordinary experience.

Hmm.. the food was pretty good but I didn't like that each dish has rice on the plate instead of being able to have it in a separate dish. I did ask but was told it can't be done. I think that's the thing about this place, the service just seems lacking but the food is pretty tasty. So if that's not a problem by all means check it out of you're in the area.
L. B.
Delicious food and really good vegan menu! Extremely friendly staff and the food was absolutely divine! Reasonably priced as well! They even decorated our table for a friends birthday which was a really nice touch! Definitely want to go back!
T. K.
Celebrating my 50th birthday with 20 of my closest friends. Food was great, service was awesome. They even had Happy birthday balloons above the table. Thanks Phat Boy.
D. F.
The Thai menu is sensational, with so many delicious dishes to choose from and the service is very prompt and friendly. I've visited the restaurant a few times now for lunch. This has quickly become a regular treat!
D. T.
Phat Boy was very tasty and great value. We attended for a birthday celebration and they pulled out all the stops (complete with balloons, music and a piece of cake with sparklers!)
L. H.
Phat Boy was everything we expected it to be. The dishes came out quickly and the serving sizes were good. Most of all, the food was delicious and we have booked the restaurant for another group function.
J. A.
Food was absolutely amazing! Very friendly staff. Very thoughtful addition when my hubby was given a slice of choc mud cake for dessert with a sparkler, as they knew it was his birthday. Highly recommended.
V. L.
It’s one of the best Thai we had. The price is reasonable for the portion and taste of the food. However, need to recruit more staffs and more attentiveness needed because we don’t felt attended enough.
Y. T.
Took my business networks there for group dinner, had the best time! Services were friendly and fast, ordered the DIY salad bao and a massive bowl of thai styled seafood. The order came out soon after we placed it and were delicious!
DONT BELIEVE ALL THESE FAKE REVIEWS FROM PEOPLE LIVING OVERSEAS!
R. P.
Phat Boy impressed us with the variety of food offered on the menu. Everything we had was delicious well presented and fairly priced. So nice to go out and have pleasant friendly staff assist. We will definately make this a regular and highly recommend.
S. C.
Fantastic food. Our table preordered so the food came out quickly. Large delicious servings.
D. M.
Great service, great atmosphere and most of all great food at great prices. You can not go wrong visiting here. Make sure you do, you will not be disappointed.
C. P.
Amazing service, put up party decorations for our friends 21st birthday! Will definitely be going back the food was amazing and so were the cocktails!
N. S.
Soft shell crab curry, very delicious, as was the school prawns. Chicken skewer were ok. Friendly service, good price. Will be back to try the seafood!!
z. y.
Food was amazing, however, we ordered Kung Tung which got crabs in it, but they dont have a crab opener nor the chef didn't smash the crab legs which are very hard to open without any tool. But other than that, everything was great.
S. T.
Got invited by work colleague otherwise I wouldn’t even know it’s there! Had pad thai and deep fried icecream. Very well presented. Food taste good and price is awesome for the location. Plenty of seatings will be perfect for birthdays.
S. M.
It's a nice restaurant with nice ambiance and food. However the seating was so close and the table next to us had so many loud people we could not hear ourselves.
J. &. K. W.
Upmarket ambience but not overly pretentious, good quality food and fast service.
Menu has a good range of options and prices to accommodate different preferences.
L. N.
Me & my my girlfriends ate here last night. Good food, big serving. Manager is doing a great job helping the wait staff. But wait staff doesnt seem to know how to organise themselves.
M. M.
Fast service, delicious food, reasonably priced
K. L.
Food is DELISH, prices are reasonable, service is excellent, atmosphere is great! (Just wish you didn't use plastic straws and gloves) 😊👍
M. R.
My first visit definitely not my last. Food was delicious and customer service on point. The new fitout looks amazing. I would highly recommend checking out this new gem in the W Hotel
D. y.
Good quality and fresh food. Service was very good and friendly and I didn't have to wait long for the service or food. A new favourite Thai restaurant for me.
M. S.
Best Thai in Brisbane. Big call I know but frequently go to most of the big thai spots in brisbane: Pochana, sister restaurant Phat Elephant, Modern Thai, That Thai, Mons Ban Sabai etc. Phat Boy’s flavours are just a level above. Modern minimalist but tasteful fitout and good drink options. Ironically the least flavoured dish was the Pad Thai, but possibly due to the use of vermicelli style noodles rather than flat ones. Great helpful staff too!
T. S.
Wow. They have me krob on the menu. Fantastic
C. C.
Great food - fantastic service.
V. W.
Great food with good menu. Well priced and the food presentation and the staff are excellent. Recommended.
D. T.
Don’t understand all the negative reviews from people living overseas??? The place is decent. Great food. Great price. Service is efficient, same as every other place in the city. Good space.
J. c.
Food was decent. Service was acceptable. Personally I wanted a touch more flavour but was acceptable.
A. S.
The food is excellent, price benefit ratio is pretty good, the fried ice cream was OK but the mango mousse was from out of this planet, if you're ever around and want to try something different this place is a must.
F. S.
Good food but green veggies were too big and no knife provided so it was hard to eat
a. m.
Great food, good price and good quantity! Went there for NYE dinner with friends. All loved food
Z. C.
Really nice food at a fair price. Funky setting with a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely look to return.
T. A.
Amazing food and reasonably priced. Very friendly, attentive service. Would strong recommend!
J. M.
If you’re a seafood lover try the Kung Tung, seafoods serving with no plate, just like the old fashion fish & chips on paper layout on the table in front of you.
M. R.
My new favourite Thai in cbd. Staff are friendly. Love the pad thai. Mango pudding with sticky rice is also excellent!
R. F.
Great food and big portions.
J. C.

Food and service was great and it was overall a great experience... Only thing talking the place down is the loud music. Might order take away the next time.
C. R.

A. L.
