The place has a great feel and the safe were very friendly. Good selection of beers and the variety of seating area including the beer garden, main bar, top out door area and cellar/kitchen area give you lots of options. Only thing that was off is the food seemed under sized for the price. Given it’s a pub style environment I would have liked a little more on the plate.

Food and drink orders were continuously misplaced, a table of 7 people got their food at all different times (all ordered at the same time), had to walk to the wait staff several times to gain her attention to order more drinks. Held a great long lunch event recently. Really well put on and had a great time and would definitely do it again at this venue. Food and drinks were great. Place had a really good vibe too. Only complaint was they were not very responsive to messages and phone calls prior to the event as we were bringing babies and prams. Once we arrived we asked to be moved somewhere out of the way so as to not bother other patrons but were told it was all set up already. But then a manager stepped in to sort the problem which was really great. Too be clear all the staff were great except the first person we asked who seemed to be very inflexible and similar to the person I spoke to over the phone. From there the place couldn't have done anymore to accommodate us.

We have been here a couple of times of late. Atmosphere always pretty good. Service can be hit and miss. One day it was great, other day not so much. Food on both occasions was tasty, however $44 for a 300g Rib Fillet is a bit high in my opinion (comes with some chips and ice berg lettuce salad). Overall, would come back if wanting a casual drink and a pub meal.

The ambience is really good and the staff do a pretty good job with service, which is enough to make me visit from time to time. The food leaves something to be desired so I rarely order anything these days, but it's the amount of food served that I object to. The food that must get thrown away on a daily basis would be substantial, I imagine. Portion sizes should be downsized to a normal amount, for the waistlines of Australia, if not for the reduction of rubbish.

Love this place for a more relaxed vibe and great food and drink. Outdoor area is lovely, the staff are always friendly and attentive to your every need. This is a beautiful bar, with old style interior and a lovely spacious beer garden. The service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately for my personal taste in music they play A LOT of Eminem and the like. It just does not fit the feeling of the place. I saw clientele stick their head in and then leave because it sounded like a rap/rnb bar but looks like an English pub; it doesn't work. I think they would pull more clients on a Friday appealing to that middle 30s age group as it's a cosy place and people around that age want to go somewhere with a group that they can sit and stand around chatting to. The Valley offers enough "clubbing" venues, so P and W would do better appealing to the slightly older folk...

Wonderful evening at the pig n whistle downstairs for a 30th birthday party. The venue was excellent, food delicious and plentiful and the service was fabulous! Staff so obliging and couldn’t be more helpful. Oscar was amazing! So busy but always so willing to stop and assist as needed. Made our event really special! Highly recommend this venue for functions.

I have to say that, after reading comments about the food being nice, I just had to review this place. Let's start with the food. I've been here randomly a few times and food was ordered twice. Now, this is together with other friends ordering food at the same time. The food is no where near nice. Friends ordering different things, makes it easy to get the whole idea around the food. It's tasteless and expensive. Why the 3 stars? - Good staff - Clean area - Many drink choices - Inside / outside area Just get your food somewhere else, and head for drinks here later..

Covid restrictions mean you have to sit and stay seated. I love the idea of being waited on, if it actually happens. They lost a lot of money from us by making us wait 20 mins each time we wanted to order. They never once wandered round and asked if we wanted drinks. It was always us desperately trying to catch someone's eye. And the cocktails were are at best average. The first one was great, and when we ordered a second one which turned out completely different, the bar man actually came over, in a sweaty mess, personally offended that we didn't like it. He begrudgingly re did it after telling us the original maker was not available to re make it as we didn't like his version, and it was even worse than his previous one! We gave up and moved to something he truly couldn't muck up. I definitely wouldn't rush back!!

I booked a few tables here for a birthday recently and the staff were so helpful. They kindly moved a heater to our area after I asked and always had a smile. I did forget the birthday cake but was able to pick it up the next day. My only advice would be, don't forget the cake! They will wait for your request to bring it out 😂 my partner will have to wait another year to be embarrassed in front of a venue of friends and strangers.

Very nice new fit out and unexpectedly clean for a 'pig'. Meals are a tad expensive but there are some value items on the menu. I had the Lunch Rump which came out a little more done than I asked for but still quite good. We also ordered the beef brisket tacos and pulled pork sliders which were both yum. This is a great place for arvo drinks in the large beer garden. I expect this place will let quite busy in the warmer months.

Arrived on a Monday for for dinner with three friends, nabbed a booth indoors. The barman* was the triple-threat of very friendly as well as being well-informed and knowing his craft; so, a perfect bartender, basically. The menu runs from cafe to bistro prices, but the portions were generous, the presentation attractive, the tastes and textures mouthwatering (beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth, lamb shank was calling off the bone, etc.), and the table delivery much-appreciated. Our leather booth was cushy-soft enough to overpower the temptation to move outside to where the magical-looking, fairy-lit beer garden was (I have been to weddings less pretty!). For a weekday supper, it's a perfect score from me; 10/10, stunning gastropub with lovely ambience, comfy seating and amiable service. 5 stars. *(Owners/managers, if you read this; I didn't catch his name, but he was of compact to medium stature, very handsome, and had a lovely accent [I couldn't place it with any confidence; Hispanic, maybe?]).

It's a chain of pubs all across Brisbane. Great for a casual meet up UFC is always on here. And they have air-conditioning inside for Brisbane hot summer days. Staff can be happy or just over worked and that makes them grumpy but that is a management thing they have to work out. Come in if you are looking for a wee or a drink

A range of nice areas, was here for a private event in one of the back-yard fenced sections. Minus a star cause service was sllloooooowwwwww at the two downstairs bars. Otherwise a decent pub/venue. They have everything including some kitchen sinks.

I booked a room for my 24th birthday recently in their 'Brass bar' room. It was moody and spacious just like it was shown in the pictures on their website (except for a few seating differences but nothing too major). They even opened up an extra room on the side which was also nice. Now the reason I'm giving three stars starts with my booking. I payed over the phone to who I'm assuming is one of the managers (Steve) and never recieved a confirmation email or reciept for the $200 room hire. I had to email them for one and what I got back was very vague and not any sort of receipt or confirmation. Then on the night there was a problem with the music. I was never told to bring an iphone adapter for their aux cord so I could play my own music from my phone. The staff member was quite rude about it and told me I would have been informed of this via email and that people just normally carry these around with them which was very strange... Another problem was that there was a security guard constantly patroling the private room as well as other management. This made my guests feel intimidated and uncomfortable and was quite unnecessary as they were just standing around watching us for no reason. It was also very inconvinient that the only way the function room down stairs could play their music was from a device that was positioned in the PRIVATE room I had hired..... Thus leading to drunk strangers constantly walking into my party which was very rude. Then around 11pm the staff were standing at the bar watching us waiting for us to leave making myself and my guests feel like they were wanting us to go and we felt very unwelcome. The final thing that toped it all off was the rudeness from this manager Steve as I had left a birthday card and gift card at the venue and I spent days chasing it up and his response was "I dont know" and "We don't have enough staff on right now to do anything, call back later". I finally recieved a call from a nicer team member who found it (but did mention that there was a gift card in it which meant that they must have looked inside). When I picked it up the gift card inside was taken out from inside the card and was sitting in the envelope. I don't think it was necessary for them to go through my property. Apart from all of this the room was as expected and the girl who served at the bar was very nice and helpful.
