I really love this venue. Great sports area to dine and drink. There is a nice spacious outdoor eating area. Live music some nights. Perfect for groups wanting knock off drinks or dinner. The food has always been decent. The lamb shanks are really tasty, the pork burger with mac n cheese is worth a try and all the pizzas are really great. The staff and security have always been amazing.

Nice venue with high ceilings, feels very spacious inside. I especially like the restaurant part, although it can get quite cool in there. A bit pricey but great presentation. Basically, it's fancy pub food.

I had the chicken w/Japanese mayonnaise, Garlic bread with Welsh rarebit & pork ribs. Chicken was ok! I love garlic bread!!! This one not so much, I don't even know what rarebit is but it just wasn't right. Pork ribs were very bland like they had been cooked too quick or not marinated long enough & didn't absorb the flavour of the sauce which looked like cheap shop bought sauce & I probably ate 1 full rib in total. Took it home to my wife & she agreed hers are 10 times better. Service was friendly & accommodating letting our party change tables.

What a spectacular place to be at! I went down to the riverside Pig ' N ' Whistle awhile ago and was very disappointed with their service and food presentation. The manager behind the bar at that venue was rude too. But the team in this West End venue are very passionate and do their very best to serve us with compassion. Their cocktails are top-notch and their foods are cooked perfectly. Definitely my go to place at all time. Don't even get me started with the ambience there. It's just so amazing. ✨

We had an enjoyable lunch here on a quiet Sunday afternoon just before Christmas. The P&W is an airy, light and spacious place, where you can have a super comfy and satisfying dining experience. Service is fast and efficient. Ordering is done at the bar counter, and within a few minutes, the food is brought to the table. We ordered burgers, chips, dumplings and calamari. It was all first class, and nicely presented to the table on stylish crockery. The calamari was fresh and tasty with a crispy batter. The dumplings were prepared by an expert: they were just the right texture with a nice, soft coating and fresh vegetarian filling inside. They were simply, but beautifully prepared with love, care and attention to detail, and served with a tangy soya sauce and a sprinkling of bay leaves. The ambience is casual, laid back and relaxed, and with a cool refreshing breeze blowing in, it’s the ideal spot to enjoy a drink and a lunch on a summer Sun afternoon with friends or family. Being so big, tables are well spaced out, making for good acoustics and we were easily able to converse. There are ample toilets, clearly signposted and they’re clean and well provisioned. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

Experienced dining at the Pig n Whistle West End on the first day of the Covid lockdown ease and the restaurant complied with the remaining restrictions. The food was tasty however the medium steak was over cooked (medium well and unevenly cooked). The service was fast and the staff were friendly. The football was on but we couldn’t hear any of it unfortunately (because of the restrictions neither of us wanted to talk to staff and make a fuss). However overall a nice evening at the pub.

Had a fabulous night here with family. The dining room is child friendly and they even gave our little one a colouring pack to play with. The staff and food were excellent, and my vegetarian falafal burger was delicious. There were Christmas parties raging outside with live music but the dining room was well insulated from that. We had a great night.

Despite being busy and having a birthday party in half of the dining room, we were able to sit in the quieter half and had a hearty hot dinner served quite quickly. Considering the beer festival across the road this was very well managed.

Visited during Christmas New Year period. Very disappointing meal. 1 x Ribs. Meat was amazing but only luke warm as was chips. 2nd meal was Guinness Pie and vegetables. Pie was great and hot but again vegetables were only luke warm. For decent dollars felt as though these meals were only heated in the microwave. Told manager at the time and he did give us a free drink each. Dont mind paying money for a nice meal but not when you know its just been heated! 😪

Came for dinner in a Saturday night and got a table without too much trouble. Drinks were okay and fair price for the location but the food is slightly overpriced for what you get. Had the bangers and mash (good) with Yorkshire pudding (excellent). Dropping one star mainly for the poorly organised bar service especially ordering food (should have table QR code and app) and the arrogant attitude of the security at the entrance.

I take my teenage nephews here often. They seem to enjoy the pub food here- has a lot of options, tasty and decent portions. The food is always consistent and the Westend restaurant has a friendly laid back vibe. Kitchen is always open which is nice.

We first experienced the Pig ‘N’ Whistle in New Zealand and it was amazing! So much we wanted to try in Australia (whether they are the same chain or not - I’m not sure). Since this was at lunch time, perhaps the service is a little different compared to night service. Food: Pulled beef roll ($17) and the Pig ‘N’ Whistle burger - they had very nice flavours. The bread itself could be nicer as the roll was basically falling a part. Decent add on side chips with aioli ($5). Staff - No one greeted us except when we walked up to the counter to order our food and had to grab our own menus. It was not table service for ordering. We didn’t really see the staff coming around to anyone to see how the food was going. That could improve the experience.

Great experience!! The staff were absolutely amazing. It was great to sit and watch the various groups that had reserved space for special celebrations. Bar restaurant that was 3/4 full, and extremely long wait time of 50 mins for food on Wednesday night. Wait time was a little too long although we were told upfront when we ordered, which is appreciated. Nice ambience. Food quality is very average; spinach, vegetables and potatoes seemed to be cooked mainly in salt. Huge portions where could 2 persons shared 400g beef rump set, but there was better quality beef to be found. Their desert took much faster at around 25 mins and was probably the best dish.

Plenty of clean dishes all around! They had tap beer specials, which is rare on a Friday in the city. Can't comment on the price of the food as it was a paid-for lunch so I "paid" no attention. Looking forward to going back since the bar keep mentioned they show plenty of sports, including the UFC. Next time I'm looking for a group of us to catch up after work I'll be looking in this direction.

When we arrived we had to provide proof of covid registration which was great. Our daughter was given a colouring in competition but told there where no pencils which frustrated her all night. The location is convenient for Southbank, they have indoor and outdoor seating choices and the decor is fresh and comfortable. Menu is somewhat limited for those trying to eat health-consciously (not many low carb options in our case), but the meals we received were tasty and arrived promptly. Another bonus is several big televisions with whatever sport is currently being played, so that combined with big tables makes this a pretty good venue to watch sports with mates over a beverage.

It's had to fault any Pig 'N' Whistle throughout Australia. The service is impeccable, the menu is divine, the drink selection is vast, and there is a reason it is always busy. It is such a well established venue, which provides a setting for any function. I am sitting here scratching my head trying to think of the fault of this place and I am not coming up with any. I would definitely recommend you go here for dinner and try there menu. I enjoyed the HANDMADE GNOCCHI on my last visit. Enjoy you meal with a glass of wine, or pint of cider.

The food was sooo delicious- we are thoroughly impressed! We had the chicken tikka masala curry, slow braised steak & Guinness pie, and the fish of the day. It was divine- really good flavours. The place is brilliant. But the food menu is average and expensive. Ordered the Prawn Spaghetti for $38. Very little serving for a mains plate. Not much sauce, prawns a bit overcooked and the mussels were tiny! It's good for drinks but don't think worth for eating out.

Doesn't really offer anything substantive, like, ya, they got OK beer on tap, but there is really nothing here that makes you want to come back. The lighting is annoyingly bland, there is live music that is OK-good, but usually too loud, the staff are nice, but not mindblowing or memorable, the food is OK but not great. The best thing that I can remember is there seemed to be some pretty interesting dancing going on on St. Patricks day a year ago or so. Also, pretty pricy for what you get. Overall, really average experience.

Loved the food, however the atmosphere wasn't the best, as I suppose it was due to the fact it was a Monday night. Went back for a drink after the show because they close at midnight. I wanted an Expresso Martini, but disappointed as their coffee machine wasn't working. It was dead at 10.30pm.

Awesome food, great place. However, The entertainment was very ordinary, the bloke playing guitar and singing never took a break, just joined one song into the next one. It ended up being so annoying and the volume was way too loud, you had to yell to talk to each other!

As an English person living in Brisbane, I really don't buy in to the whole 'British pub' thing, they have a Middlesbrough Parmo on the menu for example 1. Nobody really eats parmagina in the UK, 2. Nobody would call it a parmo. And serving a pie without gravy... sacrilegious.
