We stopped here for lunch but could have stayed for the day! Great layout, nice atmosphere. The food was delicious and worth the wait. They also do tastings and there are a number of artworks on display and for sale.

It looks tiny from the front, but don't let that stop you. We sat in the beautiful courtyard that stretches out to a stage with live music and a gorgeous bar. The food, service, cocktails and of course the Gin was awesome. We will definitely be back. Make sure you try the tasting paddle of Gins. 😊

Loved it here. We had a Hens afternoon and we were lavished with so many yummy tapas plates. All sorts of cocktails on offer not to mention their own Gin's. Fab place, very rustic but so comfortable. Entertainer was also great!

Love the venue. A nice surprise for a little country town. Nice selection of beer and cocktails that don't cost through the roof. Staff were nice and service was quick. Very quirky spot. The duck was well priced and looked amazing. However the leaves that the duck sits on really should be sauteed instead of being uncooked. Would of added such a nice finish to the dish.

I was so looking forward to having lunch here it started off well with their own distilled blue pea flower gin but the duck with pancakes and blueberry sauce was quite bland the fish and chips was OK but the batter too thick and the food delivery to our table was chaotic as two of us received the food early and the rest had to wait until the first dishes were almost finished before the rest of the food arrived! However Beautiful interior n great bathrooms!

I was here for lunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing. The food is delicious and very well priced. Despite not making the gin on site, the gin itself was incredible. Pomona Gin Distillery is a very well priced and service based place. The food, drink, atmosphere and general feel is excellent. Cocktails are next level and made right in front of you. Service is quite good, had to wait a little while for food but thats cause it was a busy time. Went for lunch today 20/9/20. You need to book to ensure you get a table. Great atmosphere, small menu, but plenty to choose from. I had Chaing Mai Chicken, I'd have that again. Tried the Gin tasting board with tonic. Very nice. Only one type of Gin is currently available to take home, which is a pity, as I would have bought all 3 😄. I would definitely return, it's the sort of place you could settle in for the afternoon. Do yourself a favour and try it out.

Food was tasty and well presented. Service was poor. You have to order food via your phone app and when the food came out with no cutlery, they said to get your cutlery from upstairs at their "cutlery station". The same was said for table water, "get it from upstairs". Our table of 8 for a birthday lunch thought this was poor from a restaurant that wasn't cheap. Hopefully better table service can be implemented to improve the experience of the restaurant.

DISTILLING MEMORIES • Awesome day chilling at Pomona in the sun with mates from out of town. The gin and wine were flowing and the chicken Parma was one of the best I've had outside of old school Windsor Castle (Melbourne - if you know you know). Such a fun day just cruising, boozing and listening to some good tunes on the grass. Definitely worth the trip if you're looking for good vibes, good eats and blimmin good gin. The overall ambience and outdoor area are second to none, we had a couple of kids in tow for the day, so suitable for families, through to party hearty groups. Thanks for a wonderful time, and keep distilling the good vibes and great memories 🤙

We visited Pomona Distillery after visiting a smaller more boutique distillery 10 minutes down the road. Pomona distillery is like a large pub with mass produced food and gin. We hadn't booked so understand arriving at 2pm on a Sunday we had to take what table was available. We were seated not far from the kitchen so saw my meal sit for close to 10 minutes before it was served. When I mentioned this, with no eye contact, I was told 'It'll be right'. The building is old so the floor moves every time someone walks by, so much so your table wobbles. Gins are average, we left and went back down the road to buy a much nicer product for a similar price. Basically feeling of a large pub with little emotion. Nice live music buy soulless.

Great spot for lunch as we had it 10/7/21 but could definitely see the appeal at night too with fire pits and open fires around the place. Drinks and food were all great. Speedy, friendly service. Overall a great vibe to the whole place and welcoming of the four legged customers too which is nice. The rest of Pomona was shutting down at midday on Saturday but this place was just getting going. What a gem! I'm visiting Gympie after growing up here in the 1980s and 1990s. We took a day trip to Pomona and ended up at the Distillery. The food is DELICIOUS, the staff friendly, and the gin tasting paddle really fun. The ambience and decor are beautiful.

Had been wanting to go to Pomona Distillery for over a year and finally got our chance. Was dazzled as we were escorted to our table, what a charming a unique space. The live music was great and the food quite good however it was VERY busy, and with the advent of the electronic ordering system, the service ended up being absolutely rubbish. The girl who was delivering our order was morose and said the f-word when she was unable to recall the ingredients of a drink in front of our 7 year old, the food took an extremely long time and dirty plates sat on our table for far too long until I moved them to a nearby empty table. The value for money of some of the food was questionable, the rice was $8 and was very small and unremarkable but was recommended with the pork belly, although they came out at totally different times. We were still pleased with our visit and will give them another chance to impress us on our next visit.

Love this hidden gem. Has great atmosphere, layout is fabulous, quirky accessories. Staff are friendly. Service is good. Food is nice. There is entertainment for kids with drawings. Beautiful covered Outside area and inside seating. Fire pit for those cold days/ nights. Would make a stunning venue for weddings or functions. Street appearance is very deceiving on the size of the venue. We will be back.

The number one spot in town. Very nice ambience indeed. Well worth a visit or two. The house gins are obviously very popular as it was sold out.... Would've preferred to see them support the local ginger beer producers rather than sell a higher priced import product.

Nice family friendly place, love the decor and welcoming atmosphere, we ordered through the QR and this service could improve a little more, staff were friendly however just missed some cues, such as cutlery that was included in the order did not come out and when serving the food they didn’t come out together which is fine however there was a long wait for the rest of the dishes to come out. It’s always good to ask patrons how the food was in the end also etc. Otherwise definitely recommend this place if you are ever in Pomona. Make sure to like my review if it’s helped you in any way

Nice funky space in an old renovated bakery. Lots of raw brick and recycled timber adds to the ambience. Small menu of very tasty bites plus some more substantial dishes is perfect for lunch. Nice cocktail menu - I especially recommend the Kin Kin sour which is super refreshing for summer days - and a few beers on tap. Fast friendly service and a variety of indoor or outdoor seating.

What a hidden gem. We arrived on a busy Sunday without a booking...and a dog. The staff were some of the most accommodating i have come accross and found a table for us quickly. The food was delicious and despite being packed we had our meals served no more than 20mins after sitting. Oh, lets not forget the gin, that too is sensational with a good 45ml serve with mixers. Well done on the decor and setting and all round we had a great experience.

Nice environment even though we went on a quiet evening. Is very much an outdoor venue which we weren't aware of so wrap up. Our big disappointment was we picked this as our anniversary celebration venue based on the GF / DF options it was only after ordering and walking away we thought to double check that was the case. As it turns out it wasn't DF / GF which was very disappointing and we didn't get to eat the item we'd come for. If we'd brought our children as originally planned it would have been life threatening!! Poor that the menus weren't changed or the staff didn't make us aware.

Well worth a visit. The staff were super friendly, decor was beautiful and the gin was delicious. I ordered the gin tasting board which was the perfect way to sample the various flavours. Ignored on arrival until I gave a very cheery "hello, I have signed in, may I just go through?" Was then refused service with my four year old for a quick snack and a lovely gin at 2pm Sunday -between services- despite twenty empty tables clearly visible, and was told I would have to stand at the bar because I didn't have a reservation.. with my four year old. I would have been happy to sit, snack, and leave before reservations were due arrive, but was literally shown the door. Pretty shocked, actually.

Enjoyed some great shares plates and gin tasting paddle at the Pomona Distillery. The bao buns with pork belly were great, Korean chicken wings sufficiently messy and scallops tasty. Gets crazy hot on a still summer day but lots of undercover dining options. Bookings recommended so you don't miss out. The tasting paddle included the pink gin, dry gin and butterfly gin. Ordered online and picked up a bottle of pink gin on the way out.

I almost don't want to review this place so I can keep it a hidden gem! If I could give this place 6 stars then I would. My partner and I stumbled upon this place on a trip up to the sunny coast and we will definitely be back to the small town of Pomona specifically for this place! If your not a local, This place is definitely worth the drive! The atmosphere was amazing. The outdoor area has been well thought out and very inviting. There is a lot to keep you visually stimulated from the chosen decor to the shipping container converted into a gallery for a local artist. Amazing venue, amazing food except the day was ruined by some exceptionally rude staff. There was 13 of us and this was our first stop out of 3 breweries for the day last Saturday. Two of the young female staff were immature, childish and rude, they refused to help us. I haven’t been spoken to like that since I was in high school. We had lunch today in this iconic beautifull distillery, As an amateur of gin and tonics I tried both the dry and the pink gin, trusting the bartender skills. I would define the mixology way above any standart. Moreover, We had a try to the lunch menu, the Korean parmy was really interesting, brave enough in the Asian taste, simultaneously respecting the classic Parmy idea. Highly recommended.
