For special occasions!
Very impressed by this venue. The attention to details is second to none in town!
Delicate flavouring and seasoning reminded me of fabulous restaurants and experience in Tokyo. I haven’t come across anything as refined as this restaurant in Brisbane yet.
Great place.

As good as I have had anywhere! Dan Arnold's restaurant is flawless. The food is incredible. We splashed out on the Carte Blanche menu - it is not cheap but felt it was incredible value for money. It was generous and delicous. Dan's kitchen puts out some remarkable food. The service was fantastic - great wines, and a cheese trolley to match! The tables are laid out spaciously and there is not a bad table in the place. Perfect for intimate nights out and talking. I have booked again for my next Brisbane visit!

Wow! An amazing food and dining experience. The decor is modern, sparse and earthy. Lovely wooden tables and comfortable chairs complemented the modern minimalistic cutlery and glassware. The service was very friendly helpful and pleasant. The food... Oh wow. We had the 5 course selection. The care taken in presenting the food on each plate was matched in the tasting experience. No flavours were overdone, no flavours lost.... Everything is balanced beautifully. Each course may appear small but you were definitely well nourished by the end. In between each course we were given extra little treats from the kitchen. I have to say, the duck was THE BEST I have ever had. A nice selection of wine, beer and spirits on hand to choose from. Actually, I cannot point to a dish that did not deliver. Was it expensive? This is not a cheap restaurant, but truly this is NOT an expensive restaurant for the food and service you get. Restaurant Dan Arnold is firmly at the top of my recommendation list as we work our way through the top restaurants in Brisbane.

Had such an amazing experience here at Restaurant Dan Arnold!
The food was incredibly special along with the wine pairings, it was a truly memorable dinner. Fine dining and one of the best restaurants in Australia at the moment.
Above all else, the floor staff were incredible. Happy, energetic and friendly, they made the delicious food into a memorable moment.
Highly recommend, menu changes with the seasons, so go at least 4 times a year 😂
M. A. T.
Everything about RDA - perfection. Service was exceptional. The degustation was absolutely satisfying and wonderfully delicious. It was worth every dollar. Overall, an amazing memorable experience. ❤️
My only critique though.. the comfort of the chairs. Our legs felt pretty cramped near to the end of our meals 😂 oh well, it was worth it anyway.
S. O.
Hands down the best food and dining experience I've had in a very long time. So impressed with the taste and presentation of each dish that was served. The wine was fantastic, as were the staff! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

I believe Restaurant Dan Arnold is underrated because it’s been the best dining experience in Brisbane so far. We live less than 500m away from this gem and walk/drive past everyday and have never noticed it.
How have we been missing such an incredible restaurant???
So glad it came on our radar recently and decided to go here for my birthday.
The decor is minimalistic chic, the staff are super friendly and welcoming and the food is EXCELLENT.
It’s fine dining without the snobbery and fanfare which is so lovely.
The staff here know true customer service. One of our waitresses realized the wrong cutlery had been set for our first course (we didn’t even notice) and came over and changed it very fast.
Glasses were never empty.
For sure the best fine dining we’ve had in Brisbane to date. Well done team!
T. B.
Easy to see how RDA has got such a strong following. Dining here is a real adventure. Don't be fooled by the 'simple' looking menu.
Faultless service and impeccable food (that you almost feel guilty eating after so much care has gone into the presentation).
C. H.
An amazing dining experience. Exceptional food, service and ambience. Brought back so many memories of long lunches at 1 & 3 star Michelin restaurants in France.
Thank you to the team at Restaurant Dan Arnold.
H.
Tried 3 courses which were wonderful with fabulous look and amazing taste. The staff are active and friendly. The restaurant is not very spacious and give a feeling of crowded. In total, definitely worthy trying

I had the 5 course degustation (experience #5) as part of a conference dinner.
There were 5 amuse bouches, they were alright, I like the chicken liver pate the most. The butter for the bread was hard solid, just had the bread on its own.
The first course was the biggest sore point of the degustation. The sweet and subtle flavour of the beautiful fillet of scampi was completely overpowered by the Camembert cheese emulsion. All I can taste was the Camembert cheese and nothing else. The dish was much better without the emulsion. Less is more!
The untreated miso paste with the diced apple is a weird combination with the raw coral trout, didn’t like it.
With that disappointment, the food was getting better and better. The highlight was the chicken and the lamb. They were perfectly cooked, elements on the plate worked and complimented one another. The dessert was surprisingly good as well.
IMO, the chefs seem to handle meat better than seafoods.
Last point to mention was the portion size and amount of food. I found many degustation offer way too much food, especially the protein. I found this was just right, not overly full nor left hungry.
T. W.
Not bad, even though I am not a big fan of fine dining, the food actually tasted nice and there were a lot of complimentary dishes. Service was good too.
B. Z.
Thanks RDA staff! From beginning to end, we loved the experience and we walked out with memories that will last us a long time.
5 Stars for the food, ambience and service! The 5 course degust came with a generous number of amuse-bouches which tickled the taste buds in anticipation for the 5 courses. (We were left so pleasantly surprised that the dessert (1 of the 5 courses) was also broken up into 2 parts.
The dishes were of the highest quality, however the element that made the night so enjoyable was the relaxed yet professional service of the staff. It felt like all the patrons were able to relax and enjoy the experience as opposed to other degustations that sometimes feel a bit more pretentious. Highly recommend RDA for a memorable evening!
M. P.
Overall the visit to Dan Arnold was quite enjoyable, particularly I was impressed by the amount of "free" appetisers and amuse bouche and certainly by beautiful presentation. The price tag was possibly over the top and mostly driven by expensive wine list selection.
S. E.
One of the most delicate restaurant I’ve ever been to, surprise me in everything single course. Great job!
N. W.
Amazing garnish. Delicious sauces. Perfect place for birthday 🥳
L. W.
Thank you Dan and team for one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Food, service, wine, venue was all top quality. Trout and desert was probably my pick of the night but I can't fault any of the courses.
Highly recommend for a special night out.
J. F.
Restaurant Dan Arnold in my opinion is the best restaurant in Brisbane. We went with the Carte Blanche and it didn't disappoint. The food was sensational and the service was extremely good. What I loved was the fact that we had amazing food and service without the pretentious setting or people. I wish I could eat here every day! It was amazing and I can't wait to return one day.
É. R.
Best degustation I've ever had. They offer complimentary amuse-bouche which are amazing and their wine is amazing. All of the staff work like a finely oiled machine and their service is second to none. Thank you for making our night special.
K. B.
We spent over $400 on a 5 course degustation experience, for 2 people. After eating at other highly rated Brisbane restaurants like Rogue, Gauge and Bacchus, I was unimpressed with Dan Arnold's which is seemingly trading on a reputation and is no longer interested in quality. I will say the service we received was impeccable, I just wish the food had been up to the same standard.
A. K.
One of the best restaurants in Brisbane! - especially when you are looking for a place to celebrate your birthday. You'll definitely enjoy their 5-course meal.
S.
The restaurant offers one of the best degustation menus in town. You can choose from 3, 5 to 8 course menus. We chose the later for our anniversary. Each course was unique, delicious and beautifully presented. If you’re used to having smaller meals, I would recommend to go for 5 courses max, as I personally could barely move after the dinner - although we even skipped the cheese platter. The staff are very friendly and work professionally and quietly. However, I believe a consistent uniform across all staff members would enhance the quality of this restaurant. Moreover, while each one of the waiting staff seemed very competent and knowledgeable, at times we had difficulty understanding them - a bit too low volume and offered too little details. For example, sometimes we found out more details by chance when they took the empty plates back (e.g. about their organic tomatoes that they source from the Sunshine Coast). Anyway, all in all it was a great experience and we would definitely go back. Please see the pictures for reference.
A. G.
Flavor explosion! RDA is sensational. We did the 5 courses today, having previously done the 3 courses. Each course is an explosion of flavours, textures and colours. There are lots of little extras thrown in throughout the meal. I don't want to give too much away but please give RDA a go, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
P. W.
Having raved about RDA to our friends, we were a little apprehensive that our second visit wouldn't live up to the exceptionally memorable experience we enjoyed on our first visit. That apprehension was misplaced!
Again, the service was impeccable: professional, but warm and authentic. The matched wines were each interesting and all delightful and skillfully matched. The ambiance, with perfect lighting, a nice Friday night buzz and the beautiful refined and character-filled fitout made us feel at ease. But, of course, the highlight again was RDA's exquisite and perfectly executed food.
Sensible portions allowed us to journey through at least 20 different dishes, from numerous canapes on arrival (think salmon, pork jowl and foie gras), four amuse bouche (think oyster, kohlrabi wonton, earthy beetroot macaron, quail egg), six courses (squid, scampi, ocean trout, venison, duck (two ways) and Wagyu, a cheese trolley interlude (before dessert, as we prefer), then an advemture to the sweet side starting with apple, through an awesome artichoke mousse, ending with three different petit fours. Oh, and 4 types of bread along the way, one gluten free extra. They handled the gluten allergy requirement with ease and grace.
The bill may be scary, but you certainly get your money's worth! Phenomenal ingredients, exceptional cooking and flawless service.
Best restaurant in Brisbane? Yes, I still think so!
J. G.
Very high level of technical expertise in the cooking in both the preparation and presentation. Each bite is an invitation to savor and analyze. We took the 5-dish course which was around $145 per person but there were actually about 15 plates in total including various micro desserts and amuse bouche , as well as several types of artisanal bread. Very good table service from the team. A true privilege to eat there.
N. L.
Hands down the BEST restaurant in Brisbane.
Food is exceptional, perfectly cooked and seasoned with lots of technique clearly on show here.
Service to match too.
Stop reading this or drooling over the pictures and book yourself a table NOW!!
C. S.
Great fine dinning place. Although some food is a little bit salty, the presentation of every dish is amazing
R. M.
The food was good; it is beautifully presented and had harmonious flavours. The staff were incredibly attentive, maybe a little cold though. The dining room is basic in appearance.
I would probably not recommend for vegetarians/vegans as there is no dedicated menu for them so omissions, and replacements of main proteins could be an issue.
H. W. P.
Simply the best in Queensland and possibly up there with the likes of restaurant Quay or even better.
We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Insane wine pairing choices. Amazing food and service. Pricing on the menu seemed too cheap for the whole experience for us.
Must visit when in Brisbane.
Y. C.
We visited RDA for my partner's birthday and had the 5-course meal experience. It was a journey of many different taste buds - from the amuse-bouches to desserts.
The flavour and spices feel so familiar yet so unique. Eg. the chicken leek pie tasted like chicken leek pie yet the textures and layering are different. Or the tomato amuse-bouche contains some sort of faimilar spices yet so hard to pinpoint.
I don't have a sweet tooth, so desserts unfortunately a little too sweet for me.
Staff was generous to light a candle on my partner's dessert.
Attached photos are some of my absolute favourites from the night.
A. O.
I cannot complain about the food. It was delicious. I have 'experience number 5' which was fresh and delicious and the right amount of food. I didn't have the additional cheese however. Why didn't give the restaurant 5 stars is because the serving staff were that proactive with getting new drinks orders as well as filling up your water glass when they are empty.
A. M.
The food is something special, we had 5 wonderful courses. Food of this quality does come at a price but for a special occasion it is a real experience.
W.
Hands down, one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Thank you to the whole team for a memorable time and beautiful food.
J. N.
Amazing experience at dan arnold. The food was extraordinary and the service was lovely. Would recommend for anyone looking to dine for a special occasion.
N. H.
Hands down the best fine dining experience in Brisbane. Quality and perfection in every dish!
S. S.
An amazing atmosphere. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful food. A taste sensation. A bucket list experience. This is a must do for those that love their food and enjoy good service.

We’ve just finished 3 weeks in Japan and Byron .. came through Brisbane before flying home to NZ. Food has been a highlight all the way and our ‘last supper’ at Dan Arnold was right up there. We had the $110 degustation menu and it was perfect.. they gave us lots of extras and every dish was a delight .. perfectly balanced. We’ve spent quite a bit of time in France over the years and love the food there but this topped them all and the people were lovely too.. they deserve there 5 star rating

Couldn't fault the food, service and ambience. My husband mentioned that it felt like we were somewhere in Europe. Very upscale but also unpretentious and welcoming. We had Carte Blanche and left all the decisions to the chef who executed well. My favourites were the Amuse Bouche (I love that it was inventive, playful and made us very excited about the dinner that was to come), the carrot two-ways (explained more intricately by the servers and the play on flavours and textures was sensational), the coral trout and wagyu.
They had a wide selection of wines and spirits and cheeses, too. The dessert was perfectly nice and light after that satisfying journey of flavours. Highly recommend. Best degustation in Australia by far.
M. T.
One of the best French restaurant in Brisbane! We enjoyed the outstanding 5-course menu and surprised with the before and after items! All the dishes were unique, innovative and delicious! Service was incredible! Highly recommended 👌
A.
I took my partner for his 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. Why I haven't been here before, I don't know. The food was probably some of the best I have ever eaten, and the service was amazing. We had the 5 courses, which is actually a whole lot more than that. Food, wine, service and experience, a definite 10/10. We will return.
M. H.
Brisbane's best food. The portions are appropriately sized as a full meal, rather than just being multiple small snacks. The drinks are expertly paired and the service and information provided with each course is top notch.
I've been 4 times now, and it continues to surprise, delight and challenge me. The innovation and constantly evolving menu is always impressive, and the plating is just pure art.
J. W.
Superb food. Degustation menu only but the skill in producing the food outstanding. Very subtle flavours and textures. Service extremely professional. You do pay for the privilege but the price matches the delivery.
T. L.
Wow - what a superb dining experience. Staff well trained and attentive, food exceptional, maître de was friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable on all wines to compliment the courses. 5 stars is not enough to rate this restaurant - can't wait to re-visit.
B. S.
Visited Dan Arnold Restaurant for the 5 course meal last night. Upon arriving they had missed the note on the booking that one of the guests required gluten free options, but that was okay - we advised the waiter and she said that GF options would be provided for the night - so I was still very happy and excited for the meal. Following that, the GF alternatives were pretty average for a restaurant of this standard. For the dessert course, instead of bothering to substitute the normal menu items for gluten free items, I just missed out completely (but was still charged full price). The menu items that I did receive, were delicious! But for a restaurant of this standard and reputation, I was very disappointed by the inability to appropriately cater for what is a very standard dietary requirement in this day and age. Having eaten at Rogue Restaurant (located in Newstead) the week before, and the menu there being unbelievably good for GF options (as well as half the price) - Dan Arnold Restaurant was a let down.
J. G.
I had the 5 course menu and enjoyed the creative “snacks” and the palate cleanser made of emu egg the most. I had extremely high expectations but I guess for Brisbane standard the food was great but did not make it to my memorable restaurant list. I was also very turned off by finding a strand of short hair in our dessert with hair follicle still intact...
L. T.
Restaurant Dan Arnold is the best we’ve had in a very long time. We had the 5 course menu and my husband had the matching wines. A bit pricey but well worth it. Foods were amazing and courses were well spaced. My only minor criticism would be that I had to ask each time I wanted a drink, the sommelier never asked if I wanted anything. We will definitely be back ❤️
A. T.
10/10 experience... Dan himself wasn't very peppy but everything was perfect. Wine, tastings, timing between courses. A+
m. l.
What an amazing experience we had last night... As we came Into the restaurant, we instantly felt the subdued, peaceful atmosphere. Staff seem to float around the kitchen and dining area. Service was wonderful, attentive, timely. We chose the 5 courses experience, it was exquisite.
.We became instant fans of Dan Arnold’s stunning cuisine!
A. B.
Delicious food, out-ot-this-world service, and a lovely atmosphere. We went for Experience #5 with matched wines and the sommelier did an amazing job. Great experience all round.
M. B.
Amazing service. I wish we remembered her name but we had a booking for 6:30pm on Monday the 31st of May. The young blonde waitress gave my wife and I service that felt very personal and genuine. This is our new favourite spot when we come to the city as both times the service can’t be faulted and we are always recommended exactly what we feel like without even knowing ourselves.
R. S.
Had a really good lunch here. Went for the 5-course menu. Not a single dish could be faulted and some were really exceptional. Accommodated my dietary requirement by substituting the pork main with a fish dish. The wine recommends were very good too.
G. G.
Michelin Star quality! Consistent with many other reviews we very much enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. We went for the Experience #5 (degustation) for lunch in early March 21 and loved every dish we were served. Exquisite combinations and balancing of ingredients and beautifully presented. Definitely the best restaurant we have visited in Brisbane. Keep up the good work!
B. A.
Seriously one of the best degustation menus I've ever had, and we've tried a fair few now. We went tonight to celebrate my 40th, and I couldn't wait to review this place.
First, I'm a coeliac, so dining out is a constant source of anxiety for me. The risk of the aftermath of a meal without my dietary needs taken seriously is often not worth the risk. However RDN made me feel safe and taken care of from the moment we sat down. Within minutes of being seated, we were presented with our first items, mine prepared and specifically created with coeliac safe standards. It genuinely brought tears to my eyes because normally I feel like such a burden asking questions and making sure that things are prepared in a way that won't make me sick. I was reassured instantly that it would be a stress free dining experience. I can't express how much that meant to me.
Now, onto the food. Sweet Mary mother of God, where did they come up with these amazing flavour combinations? Every presentation was amazingly balanced and perfectly proportioned. Don't be fooled by the small portion sizes. I've learnt my lesson in the past with degustation menus, never to underestimate the sizes. Everything tonight was just the right amount. I tasted things I've never dreamt of before, and I fully enjoyed every bite.
We went all in, with the carte blanche menu. I lost count of how many courses we had. And some courses had multiple dishes. All were divine. Really there was only one dish that I felt was slightly off balance for me, perhaps it was the GF version didn't created the robustness needed to balance it because my husband said his was perfect.
Service was outstanding by all staff who interacted with us, and they answered all our questions, although one girl gave us a little too much info on how a particular dish was prepared. Normally I don't eat paté, and although the taste was amazing, her detailed information about it reminded my of why I don't usually eat it. Other than that, top notch.
Overall I highly recommend and will most certainly be back. If you choose to do the carte blanche, come hungry. One server said she was impressed we were able to finish what we did as some couples struggle to get through the final main dish, and then have cheese and dessert still to come. I however skipped lunch so I was huuuuuuungry!! I left feeling full, but not uncomfortable, which is rare at a degustation, especially one of 7 courses or more, yet tonight I regret nothing! Not even the paté.

This Restaurant is 2 hat level if not more. Best meal we have had in Australia by a long way. The entire meal was technically brilliant and everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The very high skill level of Michelin star cooking is evident...
Highlights were the carrot course which was served in two two parts, one being a custard, the other roasted with various delicious garnishes.
Mandarin and yuzu dessert was delicious and not too sweet. As was the peach Bellini.
The pre dessert of guava extremely flavoursome but also refreshing.
The amuse bouche were all amazing and we were surprised how many we received. You get served a good amount of food for a 5 course menu with many small bites and several courses containing two components.
There service was slick and timed brilliantly.
The next time we are in Brisbane we are coming back for the full chefs menu!
S.
Absolutely fantastic. Next level! Best restaurant in AUSTRALIA hands down! We have dined at many (3) Michelin starred restaurants worldwide and RDA is right up there. Dan and Amelie are an absolute delight and so welcoming, as is Norbert. We had a family medical emergency just before our booking and arrived late, stressed and flustered. The staff could not have been more understanding, empathetic or accommodating. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! The food was exquisite and the matched wines absolutely delightful. We cannot wait to return!!
A. L.
Best restaurant in Brisbane. Amazing dining experience with incredible food and the best staff
A.
The atmosphere was nice and the staff were accommodating for our needs throughout the night. The drink selection was fairly large and the food was always at top quality in my opinion. Personally I'd rather give a rating of 4.5 stars because the only downfall is that I felt that the price of the food (especially in relation to the cheese) was slightly overpriced in relation to the quantity provided.
H. G.
I’ve been to Restaurants all over the world. This is by far my favourite experience in Australia by a long way. Well done great food (work on your dessert selection) but by far the best in any capital city in Aus.
S. N.
Just wow. This is a 6 star experience. You get what you pay for. Amazing food wine atmosphere and service. Well worth it
M. D.
Carte Blanche with matched wines.
Food was absolute perfection. Outstanding presentation and explanation of each dish as they arrived.
The wine was also paired perfectly, really impressive, great to hear about each wine and it's characteristics.
Service was to the highest standards, it is obvious the staff take a lot of pride in what they do.
Overall a perfect dining experience
D.
A nice experience. We had the Experience #5, with ample extras to keep you entertained. The amuse bouche courses were actually the most interesting, showing complexity and a well designed combination of flavours. Some of the main protein dishes, if you can call them that, were quite meagre and although the quality of the ingredients is obvious, just a tad simple in design. No surprise that the asking price is high - you don't eat here to look for value, but there should be a matching level of skill being applied that justifies the expense. A cheese platter, involves no skill for example unless it's combined with other elements, yet here it's added at extra costs, spliced into the degustation flow (something that wasn't advised either). Undoubtedly the most disappointing segment of the dining experience. The selection was not only pricy but was loaded with very strong choices which didn't match well with neighbouring dishes. Look, overall, a nice experience, great service and ambiance, but not quite worthy of the price.
L. S.
Had an incredible dinner last night, food was delicate, complex and refined while still being grounded. We had experience 5 and all dishes and matching wines were exceptional.
Service was attentive with perfect timing and attention to detail. When we ordered coffee and the sugar bowl was placed on the table the maitre d’ removed the lid for us so we wouldn’t have to, that’s the type of attention to detail throughout the meal that adds up to a truly exceptional experience. I think it’s pretty rare in Brisbane to get such great service.
The only area for improvement is the ambiance and decor, feels a little dated and cold in the restaurant with a bit of a lack luster vibe. However I don’t think that’s a massive issue when you have such fantastic food and service.
S. M.
Expect to book months in advance.
A very modern but tasteful setting with welcoming staff.
There’s only a choice of which tasting menu you want.
There’s no written vegetarian menu but they do one on request, that’s what we did.
It proved to be an amazing taste adventure with incredible diversity of tastes and flavours in every dish, often in every mouthful.
Couldn’t fault any of the however many courses I had. Couldn’t fault any mouthful in fact, consistently interesting delightful food with never a dull flavour moment. And amazingly at the meal’s conclusion I went away perfectly full. Another course probably would have left me over stuffed. One less and I would have felt a little hungry.
Excellent.
M. M.
Probably THE best restaurant in Brisbane.
We have been coming here since they first opened and while we have always enjoyed the experience, I think the food has got even better. We have just had another amazing meal and a great evening.
G. W.
One of the best tasting menu's in Australia, easily three hat 'good food guide' level. Each course was crafted to perfection with suburb technique with amazing matched wines. Blown away by the food and the fantastic service. Highly recommended!!
J. N.
Restaurant Dan Arnold simply exceeded all of our hopeful expectations. Every single morsel of food that was delivered to our table was presented perfectly and tasted heavenly. The food service was excellent, with staff that were clearly proud of the food and wines that they were delivering to our table. We were looking for a unique and special food experience and this restaurant definitely delivered. It was simply sensational.
A. S.
One of the best degustations i’ve had!
Highly recommended. The food is absolutely delicious.
Special thanks to Dave and Gabby for helping us and making my birthday special.
K. M.
We ate at Restaurant Dan Arnold last night to celebrate my friend birthday. The food was outstanding - delicious amuse-bouche, complemented by superb mains, and all were unique in their flavours and exquisitely presented. The Henschke Julius Riesling 2007 was a great recommendation from the Maitre D' - a fantastic wine. It was an outstanding meal and we wish we had discovered this restaurant before. A great place to go for special occasions.
E. E.
Wow! This was a fantastic meal and truly a culinary experience. We've eaten at many high end restaurants around the world. I would say this goes in the top 5. Im every dish, you taste not just the exceptional skill and training, but also the creativity of making the most of local produce and ingredients. That's what makes Dan Arnold so unique and impressive as a chef. I know -- hard to believe something like this can be said about a restaurant in Brisbane. Well, you just have to try it to understand 😊
S. D.
Food and wine was absolutely amazing. This was a lovely place to celebrate my birthday. Fantastic service. You get what you pay for. Especially loved the King fish dish.
K. S.
Amazing dining experience last night. We had the #5 and all the courses were beautiful. Scallop with tomato tartare was a standout. Creative, beautifully matched flavour combinations. Matching wines were perfect. Service couldn't be faulted. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, will definitely return.
M. D.
This was such an incredible experience. We absolutely loved our degustation dinner and the service was impeccable. Servings are generous so you're not left hungry, drinks menu is very very good and the vibe is perfect for date nights and groups. Definitely book ahead, this place has a waiting list. Its worth the wait.
A. S.
An exceptional degustation, probably one of the best meals I have had in Brisbane; was surprised and impressed with each and every dish. Also a nicely modern but understated atmosphere, and strong service as well.
C. J.
What can we say, perfection! Thank you for a wonderful evening, will be back!
H. N.
The greatest.
We had the pleasure to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. The food created by Chef Dan Arnold and his crew of talented chefs is amazing. The front of the house staff is excellent.
It is the little things they make the difference. Well done.
G. P.
Wonderful experience!!! As a fan of fine dining, I can tell you that Dan Arnold restaurant is currently a great option in Brisbane. I chose the 5 course degustation menu and was delighted. The selection of ingredients is truly the best. Beautiful and exquisite flavors. Staff behaved with courtesy and discretion. I could not leave without complimenting the chef.
A. P.
Following the advice of Sophie, a dear friend of ours who knows Amelie and Dan, we went to Dan Arnold for my partner Benoit birthday. And this dinner was an experience! We couldn't have been more delighted.
The food was delicious, actually much more than delicious, incredible; a somehow elevated Australian cuisine revisited through French techniques - with ingredients in season, thoughtfully selected, mostly locally grown or produced in Queensland. We choose the menu paired with wines, and we didn't regret it - every sip accompanied each bite perfectly. Not to mention that Dan adapted the menu to Benoit vegetarian diet, an occasion for both of us to try dishes variation.
A word on the humans behind. From the staff, our waiter Louis was pleasant, explaining clearly the dishes; to the owner Amelie, that knows the subject matter and manages the team with elegance and accessibility; and the Chef Dan expressing his savoir-faire in each dish.
Overall, this fine dining experience was much more than a nice sustenance, it was a discovery of quality food through tasteful products, clever combination of ingredients and exquisite drinks, yet in any way pretentious - and the price reflects it, accessible for this level of experience - also meeting great people in a beautiful space.
A must do experience in Brisbane, we will come back for sure! Merci!

Next level food. This is the place to go when you need that anniversary or birthday meal, or just because you feel like something you can't cook yourself! We chose the 5 course $125 degustation but still got served 3 more dishes than expected. Noone pushes you out of your seat, and great professional service and personality from front of house floor manager.
This menu from Dan is imaginative and packs a punch on flavours. We will be back!

It’s a true foodie experience. I left in a food coma of delicious deliriousness.

Absolutely amazing. Could not recommend more highly. Degustation was out of control good. Every dish perfect, great wine pairings. Do it!

We heard good word-of-mouth reviews so chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed practicing our French with the delightful sommelier from Bordeaux. We chose the Carte Blanche menu which advertised itself as "do you trust Dan" but turned out to be a mix of the 3 and 5-course menus rather than anything 'custom made' or 'spur of the moment' which was disappointing. The portions in the 8-course menu were not pared down so we were full after 2 X amuses bouche and course #6 (still one to go plus 2 desserts & cheese). We were disconcerted by a bread & butter course appearing half way through the meal - most unusual. We chose the premium wines but should have stuck with Australian as the inflated price of the French wines was not met by a resultant taste experience.

Dinner was a fantastic course of dishes appropriate to the season. In particular I loved the carrots done three ways. The staff were lovely and gave nice conversation. A wonderful dining experience all together!

Visited Restaurant Dan Arnold and was pleasantly surprised to find some of the tastiest and best presented food that I have ever eaten. They offer 3 and 5 course set menus which clearly reflect the chefs experience working in Michelin starred restaurants in France. We had the 5 course menu and each course was very good. I highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.
M. L.
Excellent 5 course degustation with courses that were very tasty and not too big. We had the matching wines that we probably wouldn't have chosen ourselves but which matched the food very well. They were able to swap one of the courses easily for us.

We went here for dinner not knowing what to expect and were blown away! From the start service was 5/5, the wine list has a great selection of French and Australian varieties, and the food was magnificent!
We ordered the Carte Blance and Dan Arnold impressed with his techniques but most importantly the flavours!
We are looking forward to coming back!

C’était merveilleux!
We had the most amazing dinner for our anniversary. The meal was incredible and we loved all the little bits and bites that came along with our 3 course meal.
The service was top notch as well.
We will be back. Thank you for making our special occasion memorable!
W. E.
Absolutely Fabulous! We decided to take the #5 course menu option and was not disappointed! everything was presented perfectly, different tastes, textures complemented each course, delicious. We also paired our meals with the wine selection which was a great decision. The waiter was very attentive, friendly, he explained each course on the menu. It is always a pleasure when you get to meet and speak with the chef. Bon Appétit" - "Merci Beaucoup"

Being greeted and the door opened for you is how your experience starts at Dan Arnold, the exemplary service continued through the night.
Now to the real star of the evening, food.
Presentation was on point and taste was exquisite, my only suggestion would be to either increase the course count or make the dishes ever so slightly larger.
Thank you for the incredible meal and service.
R. S.
Incredible food and wine, an amazing experience dancing upon our every sensory input. Much reverence for the chef and sommelier.

If you wanted Brisbane to step up with a fine dinning experience that leaves you feeling totally satiated then this is the place to be. We’ve been back 3 times in a few months and heading back again this week as Dan’s food seriously has the WOW factor. His staff Walter and Louie provide a level service we have not seen in Brisbane for awhile. I expect one day we may see Dan on the top 50 restaurants of the world as he delivers every time. (Matched wines with the Carte Blanche is our all time fav)

Best meal in Brisbane! The 5 course was delicious with great portion size. The cheese cart was a special touch. Our waiter Louie was attentive and very friendly!
J. W.
This is more than just fantastic French dining. It’s an experience that we’ve never had in Brisbane. If you get the chance go in and enjoy. Highly recommend the wine matching options!

My partner and I don't eat out frequently but when we do, we want it to be special and exceed what we can do ourselves at home (often not the case in our experience). Having mourned the loss of Esquire, we were delighted to discover that Restaurant Dan Arnold reaches similar levels of execution, imagination and flavour.
The five course degustation (which is actually more than it sounds with two lots of amuse-bouche and petit fours) was sublime and wines matched perfectly. Whilst not strictly a vegetarian, I hardly ever eat meat so generally prefer when fine dining to at least ask if degustations can be made vegetarian. Despite the late notice (about four hours), Dan accommodated my request and did not put a foot wrong. The zucchini cannelloni was a sensation, as was the eggplant, while the king brown mushrooms was one of the 'meatiest' vege dishes I've ever had. It was hard to pick a standout, but the 'Fall's Farm Tomato' dish was a jaw dropper, particularly as it seemed such a simple dish on the surface.
I tasted most of my partners dishes and my vegetarian options lacked nothing by comparison, which in my mind is the mark of a serious chef. Service was wonderful from all staff, the cheese trolley a thing of beauty, and the warm, down to earth welcome from Dan's partner, Amelié (maitre d') another highlight. It's inspiring to see a couple put their heart and soul into a new venture together. The passion is plain for all to see and we'll be back for sure.
P. S.
This place is up there with one of the best dining experiences I've had. My favourites were the off menu amuse-bouches at the start, absolutely superb!
R. C.
great service, very elegant, fine food, but in the end just not enough food to justify the price, ate when I got home
G. P.
What a sublime stimulation of both the taste buds and olfactory receptors!!!! Just outstanding! Thank you for taking the time to source , create and deliver such brilliant fare

Have been a few times and unquestionably, Dan Arnold is one of Brisbane's better chefs. He is a highly skilled classical and traditional French chef. This occasion was to match such food with a Chateauneuf-du-Pape tasting and you couldn't ask for a better chef to do justice to such wines. The downside is that being classical and traditional made it difficult for the food to suit my friend allergies. Like most things in life, there are 2 opposing thoughts. My friend thinks that what is replaced makes the dish special while Dan sees that he made a huge effort to ensure that my friend had an alternative that she would enjoy. Unfortunately the dishes that I thought were standouts like the skull island prawn and zucchini had items that those with allergies had no chance of enjoying - no alternatives could match this interest. The venison was a knockout; rarely enjoy it but have never had such a dish of venison that had such interest
J. K.
Contemporary French dining experience that is hard to find in Aus - Yes there are French restaurants here but this place is more L'assitte Champenoise than Restaurant Hubert. Maybe not for everyone but my wife and I very much enjoyed the warm hospitality and impeccable food. Small but great wine list.
M.
Experience #5 was amazing fine dining. Nice ambience, watching the chefs work while you are and drank was lovely. The service was impeccable.

Had a great date night here - beautiful cooking, imaginative use of good Australian produce cooked just right. We had the Experience #5 and were very satisfied.
A. M.
Wow! We were so impressed by this amazing restaurant, could not recommend Dan Arnold’s enough :)
I. S.
One of the best dining experiences in Brisbane. The food, drinks & service were amazing. Couldn't fault anything.
P. S.
Frenchy dégustation with a spartan nordic aesthetic. Refreshingly, Restaurant Dan Arnold offers only two on-menu choices: three courses or five (each with or without accompanying wines). For those with potential decision angst or buyer's remorse, it really works. Just choose 3 or 5, no need to sweat the fine print if you don't want to, just allow the chef's selections to roll through, surprise and delight. We had five courses which included an amazing asparagus entree, two seafood courses, a rich duck main, and a truly special chocolate and creme brulee dessert. Attentive service around blonde wood Scandinavian decor allows focus on food and company. Five well-earned stars.
K. J.
Excellent food - we had the 5 courses. Awesome service. Nice atmosphere. We had a lovely anniversary lunch. Thanks!!
C. A.
I went here for my 40th birthday. It was OK. Not 5 stars like everyone else is banging on about. Maybe I just didn't get it... The wagu tasted more like eel than steak. I would say its not worth the money.
S. F.

The food is amazing and Staff is nice. But
the ambience and flow of the restaurant are not pleasant .
I'm very senstive to noise and when I go out I would love to relax and have a nice chat. The place is noisey, tables are too close to entrance or amenities squeeky doors, staff move frantickly slamming doors and banging plates everywhere for a person like me its a torture, no matter how good is the food, you just want to end the night and go home!
W. R.
Best restaurants in Brisbane by far. We have been there a few times and the food, the service and ambience is amazing.
