That was an unforgettable experience. The tartufo pizza was very pleasant to have. Truffle sauce is wrapped within the special edge. Sausage pork also goes very well with it. The pizza is the best that I ever had in various places. The manager was giving us a very good recommendation about red wine to go with our food. He is very patient and enthusiastic to introduce various alcohol in each section. Overall, everything is very impressive. I really like the service from the manager.

Amazing dinner at Tartufo. Our waiter Mark was exceptional. Every time my glass was half full he topped it up. The food was amazing - the meatballs and fish were fantastic. Beautiful surrounds in the corner booth, and a great bar for pre dinner drinks. The manager recommend a lovely white Italian Wine which was delicious. Highly recommend visiting this place.

An Authentic Italian Restaurant located in Fortitude Valley. Family friendly with a a variety of options on the menu to satisfy fussy eaters. The cocktail and wine selection is excellent. The calamari was fresh and delicious….and the pizzas were out-of-this-world!! The restaurant was alive with chatter and laughter. The service was incredible given the amount of people dining. The atmosphere and decor felt like you were dining in Italy 🇮🇹 The walls were filled with Beautiful black & white old style photos. A wonderful evening! Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an Italian experience without leaving Brisbane.

Was looking forward to coming here after seeing the great reviews for a while. It fell below expectations but was a very nice restaurant in terms of service, decor and atmosphere. The drinks are well priced and come in variety. The bread was great, you get a whole loaf that's made in house for $9 when other restaurants just give a few pieces. Although the bread was a bit soft, it would taste better if slightly toasted i feel. As a vegetarian I went for the margharita. Reading on the website that it is cooked for only 30-60 seconds I think this is amazing. The pizza was of a very generous size, potentially even enough for two. It was delicious but fell apart due to the thin crust. Salad was very underwhelming for $10. The let down of the night was the steak. My partner who eats a lot of steak and has cooked steak for a very long time ( since his young teenage years and makes a bloody good one), said the steak was really ordinary. It looked good but it was very soft and lacking a lot of flavour. Was it that it was sous vide? With the $50 price mark he was expecting a much better cooked steak with flavour and unfortunately he was very disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful, you can tell the owners must have passion for food and care about their patrons. Hopefully can take this feedback to improve 😊

The management really looked after us, were so accommodating and made our birthday celebrations very special. Wonderful experience, from the moment we arrived we were greeted with welcoming staff and a beautifully presented restaurant. We did not have a booking and the place was full, despite that we were offered a spot to wait for a table which gave us time to select a very nice Italian wine and to peruse the menu. We have had a fabulous time every time at this gem of a restaurant! My roommates and I were having the scrumptious banquet when one of our party fell ill and the entire team from the owner to the waitress were beyond helpful. We missed the end of dinner but the generously provided us with takeaways. We went back to complete the banquet without any misshaps and had a fabulous night! The team remembered us and we had a lovely chat (and theyeven gave us a complimentary drink)! Cozy, friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was very lovely and kept checking on us. Table service one on one. It was a busy Friday night so parking was difficult and also meals took a while to come out. Food was beautiful though, right amount of seasoning to bring out the fresh and delicious taste of each ingredient. I had the risotto with spammer crab, really nice. I did wish the portion was bigger though. Prices are very expensive but it’s what you’d expect for fine dinning, check out their menu online. All their pastas and pizzas are made fresh in house.

Let down by noise. The fit out is not sound absorbing, it's brash, loud, noisy. The food and service is exemplary and I will be back, eaten here since it was belle epoque and for some reason (maybe the ornate flower arrangements) it was quieter. Good trad Italian menu, well executed. Great wine list. Good for special occasions and covert spy meet ups in public: nobody will overhear you because nobody can hear anything. The table next to us relocated outside. I think this says it all.

Tonight I went to Tartufo and the service was awesome, I ordered some food that I thought it was risotto and they brought pasta and I thought it was wrong, so the waitress showed me the menu and I realized it was my mistake, so the chef came and said to me that he was going to prepare another meal because the first one was cold, I said it was not needed because it was my mistake. But he insisted as a guy that really look for the customers experience! Waitress and chef were lovely, food was delicious and service amazing! Highly recommended 👏🏾

The staff were welcoming, very friendly and caring. We unfortunately did not get the name of our waiter, but he was a young man with short, blonde hair who was absolutely amazing to us. The rigatoni alla siciliana was savoury where the pork sausage was extremely tasty and had blended well with the other ingredients making every bite delightful and filling my mouth with a burst of flavours. The linguine ai funghi tartufati was creamy but didn’t taste heavy, where the ingredients used were very fresh. The fondente al cioccolato was recommended by our waiter as well as the table next to us who insisted we get it. We were not disappointed. The presentation of the dish was gorgeous - simply clean and elegant. Piercing my spoon into the soft fondant made it erupt a river of warm chocolate. The chocolate wasn’t heavy, not like most chocolate desserts anywhere else, making every spoonful pleasing and not leaving me feeling sick but extremely satisfied. Overall, my experience at Tartufo has been outstanding. The staff were accommodating, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant and believe it to be one of the best in Brisbane.

We don't often eat Italian but read great Tartufo reviews and it didn't disappoint. The food was superb - we went for a Valentine's dinner and booked again a week later. Unfortunately my husband got the flu so we cancelled and got take away downstairs in a King Street Italian that is popular. It was such a disappointment, especially compared with the Tartufo quality just a 10 minute walk away (when you don't have the flu!). We're looking forward to getting to Tartufo again when well enough.

My partner and I both work in service, and love when staff are attentive and friendly without being sucky or fake. Our waiter (didn’t catch his name) was lovely and a true gentleman. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants I‘ve visited so far. We had a range of entrees including the olives, pizza and desert and everything tastes authentic and fantastic. Unfortunately the pizza was burnt but the pieces that were not burnt tasted great. Service friendly and fast. Hard to get a car park on the weekend. This restaurant is in a very interesting and lively area with other good options nearby. Tartufo has indoor and outdoor seating. Prices were fair.

I wonder if owner Tony Percuoco might ever tire of praise. It's almost mandatory to compare the art on the walls, which gives a snapshot of history and the art on the plates. Tartufo's undefinable consistency has become a part of the heartbeat of Fortitude Valley. This classic Italian restaurant offers a warm, ambient atmosphere that is filled with laughter and the buzz of conversations alike. Let yourself be guided by the witty, professional waitstaff, who know both the menu and wine lists intimately. I'm always torn between so many of the standout dishes. I start with Mozzarella di Bufala: buffalo mozzarella, served with pear, candied walnuts, basil and aged balsamic vinegar. The Barramundi e Fagioli is a must. Naples Inspired home-style cooking is the touchstone, house-made tube pasta the star – Rigatoni alla Norcia, served with Italian pork sausage, sauteed mushrooms with butter, showered with nubs of cold ricotta cheese, grated pistachio nuts and parmesan. Panna Cotta al miele e Vaniglia is worthy to leave room for: honey and vanilla infused panna cotta complimented with their house made gelato and seasonal fruit gel. Finish with a rich short black coffee. The wine list extends the length of the tables with plenty of highlights. Their desserts are successful departures from the classics, but if pasta is your pleasure, you'll want to join the faithful and book a table at this popular ristorante, too. Few restaurants transition from old-school to timeless, but Tartufo has retained its freshness and elegance. Long may it be so. See you again soon.

Oh my golly gosh! My brother and his mates frequently Tartufo and he's not shut up about it. We went as a family for the first time and he had absolutely every reason to rave about this place! Seriously the best fine Italian I've ever eaten. I cannot fault a single thing, everything was so fresh and really delicious. Seriously tallented kitchen team!! The wine list is simply exquisite, the staff know the huge menu back to front and paired drinks with meals perfectly. We also had in toe a 4 year old and 6 month old and the staff were so fantastic the entire time. Left in a carb coma and I'm not even mad about it.

The pizza, its dough and flavours were perfecto!! The base was crusty and bready (no such a word but it fitted for this purpose) perfectly without any slopiness. In Italy this is called "libretto". This was a 5*. The meatballs for entree were just ok. There were 4 dry and very small balls for $19. I did not set the standard for this dish, the price does. For this price may I suggest a lovely piece of crusty bread to help mop up the sauce and a tad more fat in the mince. The service was attentive and very on point. Will be back.

Great experience. Delicious olives to consume while waiting for our main. Excellent risotto and well cooked lamb for mains washed down with a nice Craggy range Shiraz. Yes there are good wines that come out of New Zealand. Great deco and attentive staff. A mid week dinner with out a booking we took a chance and the team was able to fit us in. Been here a few times and apart from the food you also feel like you have had an experience. If you have not been I recommend it as one of Brisbane's dinning hidden gems. Good for couples and also for grown up families. Also a good spot for a business dinner as it is vibrant and interesting while remaining private by the way the restaurant is laid out

I have been waiting so long before being able to come in this restaurant and the experience lived up to my expectations. I was sitted at the bar on my on request as I was by myself. The barman was really busy, but still polite, professional and took my drinks and food order with a smile. The food was outstanding: the vitello tonnato was delicate but balanced, the pizza was superb, the panna cotta was a dream and the espresso was creamy. The pizzaiolo was nice and very professional and the waiter who I had the chance to talk to, was very good and capable. The Berta grappa brought me back in my Nonna's house. Therefore, take a recommendation from an ex Italian restaurateur: go there and enjoy the travel, it is absolutely worth it!

I parked up outside very late, looking for something to sustain me for a 2 hour journey home. Was nicely welcomed, and although the kitchens were closing I was offered an option of a pizza which was actually what I was originally looking for. Great choice on the menu, and what I had was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and had a very stylish bar. The service I received was exceptional, particularly from a lovely Asian man, who made me feel a valued client, and I would congratulate the owners on this. I was tired, turned up very late but nothing was too much bother. Great value for money too. I will most definitely be back and will make more time to really enjoy what the restaurant offers. Spectacular! Had the degustation with matching wines to celebrate wife's birthday. Personally don't enjoy seafood at all but wife does and it was her birthday so we went with the mixed veg/seafood/meat. Wife loved it all, I enjoyed the seafood as much as it would be possible for me to enjoy seafood. The vegetables and meat were excellent. Wine was perfect and I had certainly had enough by the end of the evening. The chef was out on the floor ensuring that guests were satisfied and did a great job of it. All staff went out of their way to make our evening enjoyable. I suspect if I had requested one menu without seafood and one with they would have happily obliged (didn't ask as most restaurants of this caliber act like it is a privilege for the customer to be there and special requests are frowned upon). Bill at the end didn't include some of the extras that other restaurants would add which was a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to go back!

Have dropped the ball (maybe changed hands?) since our last happy visit 4 years ago. We were celebrating a special occasion this time and ordered the banquet, as we did last time. Entrees/antipasti were good. Our waiter was good; managed a large group professionally even though we could see he was under the pump with a full house. I'd thank him by name here, but he did not introduce himself. We dig scarpetta as much as the next person, but four(!) loaves of bread for nine people reeked of 'cheap filler' rather than Italian generosity and saw one entire loaf wasted. Pasta servings were very small and both mushroom, which luckily most of us eat! This was eaten cold because we only had cutlery to eat it with after my sister helped herself to the waiter's stores after we'd waited far too long for the waiter to reset the table after the last course. Wine list is massive and fortunately our waiter knew his way around it well and helped us choose lovely wines. We appreciated the free drinks at the end, but this did not save our impression of Tartufo on this occasion. The air conditioning was freezing (maybe due to its trying to combat two wide open front doors?) and we were all glad to leave and get into a very balmy Brisbane evening.

They were both amazing but specifically the porchetta! It was unreal. For dessert we shared a panna cotta which also didn’t disappoint. This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Brisbane, even when compared with some amazing contenders, like Beccofino and Julius. Tartufo's pizza crust is crispy on the outside and pillow-y on the inside, but their pasta is arguably even better than their pizza. It's made from scratch and makes you completely change your standards for pasta. The staff are lovely, cheerful and accommodating. Also, if you like cocktails, they make the best drinks in Brisbane, so I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else!

It was a beautiful weeknight dinner with a group of girls for us and I imagine the vibe on the weekend would be even better! The little extra things is what I loved, they staff were very attentive while we were dining and they had amazing recommendations for food and wine. Even at the end of our meal we were presented with a small biscuit each, these little touches of European dining are what make this place an exceptional experience. As a group we shared a number of menu options and there was not a single disappointment in any of them: insalata caprese, calamari fritti, insalata mista, Pizzas: Primavera, Vegetariana, Frutti Di Mare. Even their mixed salad was full of flavour and perfect, the whole menu allows you to really taste Italy. This place is seriously a 10 out of 10 all round! I can't wait to come back!
