Brisbane's Best Waterfront Restaurant and Bar. It's a lovely place to sit and look out at the river, as well as people-watch. Great service getting a table for us that suited our group. We ordered heaps of share plates. Serving size was generous and all food was delicious. Cocktail menu is interesting too. A great place for drinks and dinner!

Best NYE Dinner ever. We experienced River Quay Fish for the first time on NYE. What a treat it was! The service was impeccable, the view was spectacular & the food was delicious although we were so full by the end of the courses that we barely could savour the final dishes but we did our best... right down to the drinks, everything was perfect & we really enjoyed ourselves. We Will be back - Thanks for a great, decadent way to ring in the new year.

No booking olfir a Sunday lunch, rocked up and had no problems and they quickly found us a table for 5. Service was great from the two young ladies, food was fresh and tasty and when leaving the guy behind the counter was just as helpful and full of smiles and chat. Celebrated a 30th birthday discreetly. can't speak highly enough about this place. From the food, music, venue, view, atmosphere, to the service. Everything was amazing. The seafood platter was perfectly sized and well balanced. the prawn linguine was light and bursting with flavour. The Salted caramel coffee martini was sweet and light. the buttercup cocktail was pleasantly Sourd and both were delicately decorated splendidly. We wanted dessert but were too satisfied and full. Definitely a wonderful place.

The freshest best tasting seafood we have ever had! Really friendly & quick customer service. If you're extra hungry I would recommend taking your own bread/salad and drinks are BYO but soft drink is available. We will definitely be back when we return to Brisbane.

RQF is located in at South Bank overlooking the river - great location. I was there for a birthday lunch. Staff are friendly and the meals good. Also reasonably priced for it's location. If you like desert then I recommend the Gooey Chocolate Cake.

I just had a delicious lunch with a friend on the afternoon before NYE. Great views of the river, excellent service provided by the staff, very helpful and always with a smile. The prices are fairly typical for the location, so don't expect your suburban takeaway prices to come with the great southbank and river views. Comendations to the barman who maintained his composure and polite attitude while having to endure the very rude and very aggressive nature of two patrons (M+F) who were demanding discounts on a meal they had already eaten. 5-stars, I'll be back again.

The best thing about this restaurant is that it's Riverside so you get great views. Unfortunately service was a bit down.. they kept forgetting to bring our drinks out and our food took an hour to come out. A bit expensive. I got the fish burger, kind of disappointed but the chips were nice.

Both main fish dishes were very well cooked and condiments were pairing with the fishes well too. The generously sized Kale and pumpkin salad with goat cheese was our favourite of the night. Wine list is short but good. Only down side was the manager training her staff loudly throughout the night.

I must say. The foods taste is amazing the salad for everything I ordered today. The staff is very professional and greeted me with my name when they asked me my name at the counter first. I loved the menu then I ordered barramundi and it came with salad and potatoes, and some dressing on top of the fish. The flavours were just amazing, the fish was perfectly cooked. The position is great with a table overlooking the footpath, green space and river there is plenty of people watching to be had. We ate a fish burger and Moreton Bay bugs on a bao bun. Both meals were tasty and the burger was very filling. The fruit smoothie was refreshing.

Absolutely beautiful. We had the whole fish to share served on asian greens with a side dish of coconut rice. Sauces provided were a sweet chilli caramel and Chips were served with aioli. Excellent service, they are very knowledgeable on the foods and beverages offered. Beautiful spot. Quite and some what a relaxing environment. Outdoor indoor flow, it is an open door restaurant. They cater to gluten free individuals.

Views are amazing, great spot for lunch or dinner. We ordered barramundi and salmon, mine was cooked perfectly, my partner has salmon quite a lot and said it was a little overcooked. The food took about 40 minutes to come to the table so order starters if you are hungry. Reasonably priced and will likely visit again.

We visited this place after spending the morning in the Truck Show, the food was wonderful, we ordered barramundi, Moreton Bugs, salads, pasta and hamburgers. All the dishes were great. Also a variety of drinks, good wines and cocktails. I highly recommend and will be back. It seemed a bit understaffed but with all this Covid situation is easy to understand.

My three adult children and I had the pleasure of dining at River Quay Fish last night. We all had great food, especially my daughter, who is vegan. The Chef prepared a lovely meal just for her and it was delicious, we all tried some. The rest of us enjoyed our meals immensely. Is a lovely venue, with nice atmosphere however service and food was very amateur. We had the seafood platter, and whilst its a great combo of seafood it was very average. The prawns certainly are not fresh, the oysters very yolky and shucked with shells in the oyster, the fish was not de boned and we found at least 10 bones we had to spit out. Not a pleasant experience. We did advise the waitress of the bones but her response was an awkward 'oh ok'. Would go back for a drink as it's a great spot but would not eat here again unfortunately.

Went to River Quay on Monday night mainly because nothing else was open and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent - the wait staff were friendly and funny, cracking jokes with us. We started off with their only bottle of champagne and then ordered food. I can HIGHLY recommend the Moreton Bay Bug bao buns - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I would never have thought to go to this restaurant but now I can't wait to go back.

The manager on duty was very helpful as we had a discount voucher which didn't apply for Saturday lunchtime and he let it slide, as we were already here.We had a share platter for two with a bottle of red wine which was tasty. Had a great anniversary lunch here on Sunday. The location is awesome. Staff were pleasant and allocated us a great table. We shared numerous small plates, all of which were delicious. The salad in particular was very generous and made for a great side to the other seafood dishes. The live Sunday music on the green was just getting started and we took our time over drinks, looking at the river on a perfect Brisbane spring day. If I have one negative it's that the white anchovie bruschetta could have had more anchovie. But that's a minor point in an otherwise excellent meal.

Open to the riverside and comfortably set apart from the touristy sector of Southbank, this spot would accommodate both a casual group meal or a more intimate table for two. The portions were fair for its price. We had a steak, fish n chips, calamari, a halloumi salad and 3 beers. The steak was grilled to medium rare perfectly. Chips and fish were quite fresh. Calamari's batter was perfect. Halloumi was seared well. The staff should stand outside and promote this restaurant more cus the food and service are really very decent! Stumbled upon this deal from Dimmi and decided to beat the winter chill of 13 degree, and enjoyed every minute of it! Booking was simple, including moving time to an hour later. Ordered entre when we arrived, plus drinks, but wasn't pushed to order mains. It was not busy maybe one-third of capacity. Mains were barramundi and salmon served on brocollini, both beautifully cooked. Flavour was just nice, not too complicated and not bland either. Love Brisbane on nights like this; coolish but pleasant, clear nights, fresh air and quiet. Very different from yesterday afternoon where there were screaming kids everywhere. Finished off with cheese platter. Blue cheese was creamy and strong, cheddar could do with a little bit more portion. Staff were nice, attentive but not over-bearing. Hope to be back soon!
