Comments of Roll'd 144 Edward St

Food was easy and quick. I usually order online and pick it up. Depends on the person behind the counter and how busy they are, their moods vary - sometime quick and efficient, sometime not and one time I was told off because He was not sure about my order. Today was not a busy packed store - did my online order as usual, roll with siracha sauce and they gave me a tiny drop of siracha in this plastic container - getting ridiculous.

I received really lovely service today when I placed my order in the morning to be collected in the afternoon. The young lady behind the counter was very accommodating and patient. The food is fresh, tastes authentic, is healthy as they put a lot of vegetables in their dishes, and is good value for money.

First time at Roll’d
I grew up on Banh mi’s in Sydney in Flemington and Cabramatta for $4.50-6 a pop.
Contents aren’t bad. Vegetables are fresh.
The bread has been baked so much that it’s overly crispy and crunchy all the way through. Dry as a corn chip. Drier than a post menopausal retiree on a hot summers day.
Otherwise it’s just okay. Will come back once I forget about the bread.

Had Roll'd Edward Street cater for a work team lunch. They were super responsive and helpful with organising the order and delivered the food right on time. The food was delicious and a big hit with the team. We ordered Box 4 and Box 6 and it was plenty of food and variety for around 15 people. They also catered for Gluten Free. Will order again.

I very much enjoy the food but would have to say that on my last visit, the person taking the orders had absolutely no clue about their menu or ingredients of the dishes. more training is required before letting new workers loose on patrons.

Having never tried a Bahn mi I had chosen to give this a go and with Roll'd. The lemongrass beef and salad just smelt very delightful and the bread so crunchy, the flavors where there to enjoy to the very last bite.
With my order 2 soldiers, so yummy, that's a real winner...Wish I ordered more, can't wait too. Nice presentation I should of taken a photo, but I didn't muck about I was hungry.

Can't go wrong with the menu at roll'd, everything is so fresh, delicious, and pretty healthy. Their iced coffees are also a must.

They have a good selection of Vietnamese rice paper roll in different ingredients. Slightly pricey, but tastes great. What's even better is the service. One of my roll broke while the waiter was serving me, and he offered to give a new roll for free. Way to make a customer happy, the environment was comfortable, and the air con is a great escape from the summer heat.

My poor review is not for the food but for how difficult it is to order. The website doesn't work, phone line goes straight to unavailable. I had to use uber eats and pay extra. The food on the other hand was delightful.

The service here was lovely however I was served a stale rice paper roll I could not even bite into. I asked for a replacement and it was much the same I did have other rice paper rolls which were lovely and tasted fresh. But i think that they should be made to order instead of sitting In a cabinet to dry out all day. But like I said service was wonderful.

Roll'd was recommended to me by a work mate and it is so delicious I have gone back each day for the past three days.
I tried the roast duck steamed bun (bao) first, the duck was really tasty. Had that with sweet potato fries (not soft and a little crunchy, it was great) and peach iced tea.
The second meal I tried was the lemongrass beef Banh Mi (baguette). The beef was a little thick and chewy, and I do think that could be cooked a little juicier, but despite this the sauce and lemongrass complimented it quite well. I just found the baguette to be a little too dry though - but overall still really quite delicious, the sauces they have flavour the meal great as well.
The meal I had today however has to be more be my favourite: pork and prawn rice paper rolls, that were so succulent, and the rice paper was fresh, soft and delicious! The rolls were also a lot larger than most Vietnamese places have it, packed with a lot of ingredients, so it is definitely worth the $4.20.
I had pork spring rolls and - I'll admit when I first saw them I thought they would be dry and horrible as the outside likes dry and crunchy. With the fish sauce though, it was one of the best spring rolls I've ever had! Including cooked fresh from Vietnamese restaurants. And they were quite large again.
If anyone wants to try here, I recommend the steam bun and rice paper rolls. Can't wait to try the veg spring rolls next! Definitely worth going here. But I do hope they fix the baguettes. A little disappointed they were so dry and crisp.

Roast Pork Belly was more like jerky, it was so overcooked and hard to eat.

Daily lunch time visit, the banh mi is beautiful, tired the pho and cant say its the best pho but it is nice. best pho is aj vietnamese in the city. The rice paper roll is a hit and miss. Sometimes they are all dried out and really hard, always check the sauce you ask for as they always make a mistake with them. As for the manager, not the most inviting person for someone that is in a customer facing role and is serving majority of the time. However i have seen her be very friendly/accommodating to others .

I bought the driest $9 Vietnamese "baguette" I've ever had. When I asked for some sauce they said I couldn't have a sachet because they were for the rice paper rolls but I could buy some sauce for 50cents. Really? I shouldn't have to add sauce in the first place. Overpriced and bad quality. Better off finding a nice local Viet bakery.

We loved this place. Friendly service and great food for reasonable prices. I had a BBQ chicken noodle bowl and it was very tasty. My girlfriend had roast pork bao, which was very tasty too. I highly recommend this place for a quick tasty bite!

Great service as always, nice place to eat outside (when weather is fine, which nit normally is). Food is always fresh. My only complaint about Roll'd is the amount of packaging they use... way to excessive.

Everything is delicious, absolutely perfect. Crunchy crackers, hot salty pho with moist chicken, fresh salads, the best iced tea and the best sweet potato fries. It's well priced and even better when you use the house special or the 'make it a meal'. My one recommendation- the first time I went I said yes to chilli on top. I'm good with chilli but WOAH that was the hottest thing, a couple of tiny pieces and even when I took them off, I could still taste the burn on the rest of the noodle salad. So even if you're used to heat maybe still ask for it on the side. Overall it's perfect and I'm v happy to live within walking distance!

All of the food was tasty and not too expensive.
Biggest issue for me was that there wasn't a lot of filling in the Banh Mi. If that's what you're craving, head around to Little Saigon instead.

Amazzzing! Food tastes so yummy and fresh! Its 100% my new favorite lunch spot in the city.

Staff are friendly & helpful. Would love some more vegie / vegan options with the tofu rolls. Catering is always prompt & good quality.
K. R.
great for quick & easy vietnamese food. they serve rice paper rolls, pho, banh mi, bao buns & noodle salads. they have a lot of different meat and veggie options too.
S. Y.
Rice paper rolls really lack flavour. Could do with some herbs added in. The pho is OK, but nothing special.

Despite the myriad of Vietnamese options in the CBD this place is right up there

The Pho was good, bit expensive but so is Brisbane and Australia in general.

consistently good experience. Always a good quality meal and reasonably priced

One of the best bao I've had in Brisbane, including the bao specialist places. $8 for 2 bao is unpretentious and worth it!

Great quick service. The fresh chilli on top of the noodle salad is a treat.
