Excellent food and service ! So so happy with the pasta that we ordered and the dessert. Definitely cannot wait to go back. Loved the atmosphere - and delicious food !

From the moment you walk in you feel as though you've been transported into a completely different dining experience. What Ben , Luca and the rest of the team have done is amazing. The vibe – think New York ,think leather smells deep rich wood , think classic dishes that are accessible to anyone that just hit the spot. If I was you I would be booking my next meal here. The service was outstanding quality of the food - phenomenal; I can't wait for my next dining experience. They have also paid homage to the history of the building and its shows from the uniforms right through to the decor. Thank you to the team for a lovely experience

This place blew my mind. I was NOT expecting the experience I had. The atmosphere, the ambience, the leather (booths and menu’s), the staff, the welcome and…. THE FOOD!!!! Oh my goodness, The. Food. Every course, every dish we had was spectacular. Honestly, it is only Day 3 of opening and they did not miss a beat. I’ve had lunch and dinner in Cities like, Sophia, London, Los Angeles, Adelaide (yes, their food is amazing), New York, Athens, Stockholm and more - Rothwell’s rivals them all. Great job by the owners. We met two of the three owners, Luca & Ben. Outstanding restaurant gentlemen. Pure Brilliance. Thank you for setting up such a place in Brisbane.

Fabulous meal. Everything was absolutely first class. Service, ambiance, food. My husband and I shared the Beef Wellington (this was quite possibly the most delicious thing we have had in a while. The beef was cooked perfectly). The wait staff were very attentive and kept our glasses full during the meal - Try the Martini. We cannot wait to come back and try other items on the menu, and to have a little bit of luxury in the Brisbane CBD.

We had a ladies night and shared a dozen oysters and the seafood platter. OMG what great tasting food. So fresh. The scallops and tuna were major hits. Martini didn't disappoint either. Staff so friendly and helpful. Booked again for the new year for 9 of us.

Lovely place in the centre of the city. Pleasant service from the two guys that looked after me. Friendly, personable and great at the job. The venue itself had a nice ambiance and staff all looked immaculate. The steak I had was a fillet served with some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Steak was very flavoursome and was consumed quickly and cooked exactly how I liked. Definitely worth the experience dining here, as a person on holiday I'll attempt to return before I head back to the apple isle. PS. Did return a few days later and everything was perfect again and staff were pleased to see me and were very hospitable. The mixed berry with brown sugar ice cream is something else too, recommend as something light and sweet for dessert. This places takes you back in time were quality and service means everything.

Visited in mid-December based on photos I'd seen on Instagram and previous good experiences at the sister venue, 1889 Enoteca. Booked for 3 people and we were looked after at the bar until the third guest arrived. A late arrival by a fourth guest was not a problem either, towards the end of the meal – very accommodating. Wine list was superb. Service was excellent. Food was really enjoyable, and for once it was nice to not have the lighting so dim that you couldn't take a photo of the food – if that is your thing – to show off to others.

Rothwell’s has definitely nailed the New York/London old glam vibes with their ambience and interior design. One of the first few things that really stood out for us was their staff’s uniform! Not a common thing to factor into a usual review but it left quite an impression on us having very well dressed waitstaff (dapper green jackets, pressed shirts and ties). Food was amazing and every dish was a hit from our entrees to mains and desserts. Highly recommend ordering the freshly made-to-order madeleines. You will not regret it! Looking forward to dining at Rothwell’s again.

Fantastic food and wine, beautiful restaurant and excellent service. Really love the overall look and ambience of Rothwell's. We had the crab with potato, saffron and black pepper; raw scallop with lemon, capers and bottarga; tagliarini with sea urchin, caviar, butter; the duck cassoulet with confit leg, Toulouse sausage, pork belly and white beans. Really delicious and full of flavour! For dessert, the pistachio brûlée with chocolate gelato was beautiful. Can't wait to frequent this restaurant and try more dishes.

Was Jamie’s Italian, now became Rothwell’s classy dining space. Very high ceiling, clever use of mirrors to mimic big windows. Good distance between each table so you still have some personal space. Love the leather smell of the menu and the wine list. Food was amazing. The caviar and uni pasta and the coral trout were just outstanding. Simple flavour but done brilliantly. Good service, many friendly staffs to serve everyone. Decent wine list and was recommended some good wine. One let down was the pistachio brûlée. It has almondretto which I don’t like and it isn’t called out on the menu. I won’t order if i knew. Other than that, very happy with everything. Will definitely come back.

Stunning, all of it - the thoughtful renovation of one of our landmark buildings, the nods to that history, the chic design, the outstanding food and excellent service all before the sweet little birthday wish. I can't wait to go back.

Was there last Friday and the food was exquisite, wine list amazing and some of the best cocktails we've had in Brisbane for a long time. Service was impeccable, atmosphere was spot on and the staff will do anything for you. Nothing was a problem for them. Will definitely make this a regular venue for catching up with friends.

One of the best nights out we have had in a long time. Everything was superb. The service was top notch, Riley and the rest of the team on the bar knew when we wanted a drink and what we wanted before we knew. The Beef Wellington was even better than we expected. The crab entree was divine and the madeleines delicious. It’s difficult to pin point what made the night so special, so it was probably everything - decor and ambiance included. Well done team!

A great addition to Brisbane’s city, the bar and bistro tips its hat to its heritage surrounds with lush dark velvet banquettes, marble-topped tables and glistening chandeliers. Unpretentious and welcoming, there’s nothing casual though about the service or the approach to food - and the beef Wellington was fabulous.

Another festive feast with friends and we couldn’t wait to try Rothwell’s Bar& Grill, A beautifully decorated classic bistro where you can dine in intimate little booths🥂🤍 SEAFOOD PLATTER - Oysters, prawns, scallops, crab and tuna. It was all so fresh but the raw scallops were a stand out.. PASTA - Bucatini with spanner crab, chilli and garlic. I was so impressed with the meat to pasta ratio, it was definitely a generous serve of crab.. 🦀 BEEF WELLINGTON - 600gm eye fillet steak with red wine sauce (my favourite dish of the night, cooked medium-rare and the red wine sauce was subtle and didn’t overpower the steak) 👌🏼🥩✨ SIDES - Potato purée and Creamed spinach with toasted almonds Overall the food, customer service and atmosphere was fabulous. We had such a lovely night and it’s great to have another new restaurant pop up in Brisbane CBD .

Superb classics served with warm hospitality We had our wedding anniversary lunch at Rothwells on opening week. Starters of steak tartare (traditionally prepared and completely on point), with fresh oysters perfectly paired with classic vinaigrette- faultless… The Beef Wellington for two was everything and more- tender beef served meltingly rare with the crisp contrast of glossy, crunchy pastry. Our sides were also a taste sensation, creamy potato mash, and the crispiest fried Brussels sprouts. Drinks were also a standout feature- martini served on an elegant tray with a carafe to keep the remainder perfectly chilled, wine pairing as per Luca- a perfect recommendation from an impressive list. Service was friendly and very efficient. The whole experience enhanced by an impressive fitout that in itself is a visual feast. Think marble curves, welcoming leather booths, and an eye catching series of chandeliers. Rothwells provides you with an all round experience of classics prepared faultlessly, warm hospitality in beautiful surroundings- a combination that the inner city has been crying out for. We look forward to returning soon.

What an experience! Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this new restaurant - the decor and ambience, the staff, the food! We went for our 5th wedding anniversary and will definitely come back! We ordered the Wagyu Pave and Taliarini urchin/caviar pasta - delicious! For sides we had the carrots, brussel sprouts, and fries - also delicious but was a bit rich and crispy for us to fully enjoy along with everything else. We ordered dessert as well - madeleines with whiskey caramel sauce and the dessert special Rum Baba. They also kindly gave us a little plate with 2 mini chocolate tarts in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Wine was amazing too. Thank you, Rothwell's!

Came here with my wife last night for our wedding anniversary, loved the decor and atmosphere. Jessie who took care of us was professional, but friendly and conversational. We ordered a starter, a pasta, one main and side. Food arrived swiftly, tasted amazing, and were well-portioned. Keen to visit again to try the other pasta and mains!
