Cozy and a busy place with friendly staff. Prices and value for your money…. That’s a completely different story. It’s overpriced for the amount of food on a plate. Sauce, dips, churro thickness and size is not as proportional to the prices. Taste wise, I have no objections. It’s not overwhelming or close to the “ death by chocolate “ sweetness level. I personally don’t like the idea of ordering through your phone and cutting out the customer interaction entirely ( Covid circumstances … ok) but I didn’t come to spend 10 minutes of my time to navigate through the registration process just to order food. $50 for two and sugar cravings not entirely satisfies.

New Golden Chocolate flavour snack pack churros was amazing. Cold drink as seen on the photo doesn't worth to pay $7 for the taste but replacing Azteca made me a bit upset. Azteca was a rich thick chocolate with chilli flakes. They replaced with a new one similar but added thickened cream. Still good taste. Place, decoration of the place and service is 5 star but the young fellow who take the order is rude enough to drop the Google ratings or not enough nice to customers to change their first impressions. Good place to indulge your sweet tooth with family and friends. Can’t get enough of the Churros. They have a variety of dessert options such as cakes and milkshakes for chocolate lovers. Although indoor and outdoor seating was available, place was packed when we went at 9pm on a Tuesday.

They are easy to find right in the shopping street at South Bank. They have a huge selection on chocolates and you can even see how they are made. The prices are quite high though and the chocolate we ordered was extremely sugary. Always worth a quick visit though.

Dark hot chocolate was really nice. It was not too much sweet so I liked it. And you can get more churros if you give $2 for donation. Actually I’d never tried Spanish style churros before. Although I can’t compare San Churro and real Spanish one, I can tell you how it was like. I’m crazy for crisp food so I love its outside part. But inner part was a little moist haha~

I stopped by here during summer and the place was a good respite from the heat. Comfy booth seats and good AC. Ordered the churros for two that came with two dipping sauces. Churros tasted light and fluffy without being too oily and the sauces were amazing. I definitely recommend the Spanish Caramel!

Delicious churros and other deserts located here. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The only thing that needs improvement is the speed at which they operate. Took a very long time for us to receive our order. Another point of improvement - - the churros are a bit too thinly made or they are overly baked. A churro is supposed to have a crispy exterior with a soft mushy inside. The churros we got were all super crispy and the inside was basically dry from either overbaking or being too thin.

Loved the churro bowls here! I had the sweet and salty siesta- delicious! I swapped out the bananas for strawberries which was no problem for the cashier taking our order. We also got the churro fiesta for the kids to share which they absolutely loved. Churros were fresh, warm and crisp. I also highly recommend the traditional lemonade if you are looking for a drink that is less sweet to cut through the sugar overload.

We end our night at San Churro often when we are in South Bank. It's delicious and indulgent. I give it 4 stars because it's so busy it's often a little dirty inside because the team don't have time to clear tables or wipe them down. But the tasty menu kinda makes up for that.

They do gluten "friendly" Churros now, although this place still does them in same fryer so not technically OK for Celiacs. Not sure if other locations do separate oil. Delicious sweets but the three guys that work there need to develop some personality and recognise when customers actually standing at the counter waiting. They don't have to drop everything and serve me straight away but at least acknowledge that someone is standing there (within 5 mins) and it's courtesy for customer service representatives to let the customers know someone will be along shortly to take their order. It's not rocket science, you work in a chocolate churros dessert shop.

Churros and gold choclate were very good, unfortunately service was very poor. i assume it was because we were there around 10:50 at night, and it closses at 12 so they were getting ready to close. Orded dine in then discoverd that they had no tables and chairs left because they were packing up and it was a bit busy. then i asked the waiter to leave some chairs out, but she didnt really care but eventually asked her manager and they said no. so we were forced to standout on the street and wait for take away. so about 25 minute later we had 3 churros.

Food is outstanding, but let down by the location. San Churro is very popular, often with a long queue of people waiting for the handful of available tables. Even once seated it is cramped and noisy, with staff and customers rushing by. Try getting takeaway and eating it on the grass at Southbank instead. Their clever takeaway packaging makes this easy!

In this neck of the woods you have two options for a chocolate-centric dining experience: San Churro and Max Brenner. Both have a wide range of hot and cold chocolate and other sweet flavour drinks in a range of varieties and a dude as the logo 👨 San Churro specialises in the Churros, the Latin log shaped cinnamon sugar donut that you dip in melted chocolate. I'm not sure what Brendog specialises in other than chocolate. San Churros premises were clean and moderately busy. I was served promptly although my server seemed distracted. I got a dark hot chocolate (I was looking at the Spanish hot chocolate but she said it was made on powder and the regular was made with chocolate sooo... I got that one). I also ordered a filled Churro with caramel. Both were made promptly although since the whole.churro was hollow, as I ate it, the caramel came out. A nice nightcap after a show at qpac but i must say I'm looking forward to the opportunity of trying Brendaddy out soon. I hope you enjoyed this review, please like & share.

The menu is the same at every other one of these chain cafes. Drinks and desserts are the order of the day. Spanish hot chocolate (extra thick, available in milk or dark) and various churros plates are their unique items. It's quite expensive for the desserts and churros, but the Spanish hot chocolate is reasonably priced. There is free wifi, but you have to sign up to their marketing program and be spammed for ever more.

After 10 mins, we were told they had run out of some ingredients so they could give us a full refund or we could wait another 10 mins. We decided to wait another 10 mins. Then we were told they ran out of the ruby ice cream, so we were able to choose any other flavour. So we choose the mint choc ice cream. It was pretty delicious. And because of all the drama, they gave us a full refund in the end anyway. Thanks!
