I wish I could give you five star. Your staff were polite, attentive and lovely. The venue is magic. The meals were hot and the pizza as described. I loved my pasta, however there were no more than three prawns in a $29 pasta which was disappointing. The taste of the meal was great however. I expected 4-5 big prawns from the menu description not three small prawns in pieces. Please either reconsider the serving size of prawns or change the menu description to lead with the feature ingredient, which really was cherry tomato. I will definitely come again 😀🙏🏻

Stanton is located in Queens Plaza level two and if the day is fine, there is nothing better than a shopping reprieve by balcony table with a glass of Chandon and a wood fire pizza. Needless to say we’ve been here many times. We’ve been wanting to try the lobster roll and frites for a while now, so we made it our ‘end of holiday’ treat. Brioche was a little heavy and could have seasoned the frites a bit more for my taste, but the overall experience was fun and we enjoyed our food. We were served by Renee who was attentive and a sweetie, she advised the portion was small so we happily added on an arancini, always delish - of course we’ll be back 🙂

Called into Stanton Brasserie on two occasions while visiting Brisbane from Cairns, first visit on 06/09/21 & again on 08/09/21 & each time impressed with the waitress service & excellent menu selection to choose from at reasonable prices. The food was well cooked & excellent presentation with meals served within 15-20 minutes. Fantastic views from the top terrace area looking up towards Queen St & Queen St Mall. Highly recommend a visit for a delicious meal & drinks.

Found Stanton's by chance, after we had given up waiting for half an hour for a table at another venue, and so glad we did. We were seated straight away and the staff were very professional and attentive. There's a charming, old school ambience, and a lovely roof terrace which overlooks the mall. We had a late breakfast, and tried the Stanton's big breakfast, the mushroom medley and the green breakfast. All were very good although the green breakfast could have been a tad larger. Coffee was also quite good. Very good for coffee, breakfast or lunch stop.

Excellent food and service at a great location in the Queen Street Mall. We lunched on the balcony overlooking the mall. The special of the day was a Chicken Chasseur pie with a proper pastry base (not one of those awful pot pies) and with a spectacular crust. The filling was brilliant. I had three tapas; Chorizo, arancini balls, and the best of the three was the Szechuan Cauliflower Florets. Service was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive. Five stars for sure.

Food, service and location and decor are 5 stars but this is my 4th time for lunch over the last 6 months and the menu has not changed. Having a vegetarian partner, there are limits as too what he can order. He never complains but it is the 1st thing I look at on the menu. He has ordered everything now so please please change the menu or introduce "specials". I had the Stanton pie and todays was chicken and leek. Best pie I have ever eaten. Thank you....

GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE.....but... Great pizza and great service. We asked if they split bills and the waitress said 'not usually' but because it was quite (late afternoon) it would be okay if we just split it equally three ways. NOPE! the manager/owner was emphatic on no split bills, fair enough if that's policy, but it was quiet and he was pretty grumpy about it. It's those kind of details (especially in current economic times) that make or break a hospitality business. We are all locals but won't be back.

Great ambience, I love coming here, but... our coffee was so badly burnt that I asked for it to be remade and the second cup was watery, so had to go elsewhere for a cuppa. They also served very dense heavy scrambled eggs, not light and fluffy. Guess it was different staff today 🙁.

No better venue for a casual drink and nibble in the arvo overlooking the Queen Street Mall 👍🏼 . Wanted something small to eat, so we got the shoestring fries and sticky chili wings. The fries were excellent (crunchy and crispy) and the wings had a good flavoring to it, not chili but definitely a nice garlic taste 👌🏼👌🏼🤤🤤

I went here to have a brunch twice and this place didnt failed me! I like the ambience, the customer service is very 👍 👍 and the food ~ very nice! Aside from that, location wise very handy, it is on second level of DJ's building. Good place to have something to eat or drink. With my experienced, i definitely coming back and 100% recommend it to everyone.

Situated on the top floor of Queens Plaza, overlooking the busy street of Queen St Mall, Stanton’s is the perfect spot for people watching. Beautifully designed and decorated, there are so many well thought out details to this upmarket cafe. Despite being very busy and understaffed, the staff are attentive and helpful. There is an extensive menu selection and the cakes are so generous in proportion. Delicious teas, milkshakes and very well priced. I look forward to returning again.

A bit of a hidden gem upstairs overlooking Queen Street Mall. Wonderful covered alfresco area and old world decor. Food was delicious and the service was really good. Meals are reasonably large too. We paired 3 little share plates with 1 main and was probably a bit too much for two people.

We had just arrived in Brisbane from Melbourne (first time in Brisbane) and decided to get some lunch. We chose Stanton Cafe & Bar as it was recommended by a friend. We found the service amazing. The waitress and manager were very friendly and in my opinion went above and beyond what you would normally expect. We were seated quickly and our order arrived in a timely fashion. We ordered the death by chocolate cake, a cheese cake and a latte. The food was good, as was the coffee. The chocolate cake was big, which we were warned of before hand but ordered it anyway, with most of it being chocolate; if you love chocolate then this cake is for you. The cheese cake was also very nice, not too sweet, a hint of lemon and humbly presented. Finally our latte, which we ordered extra hot, was again well presented, not too strong and hot enough. Towards the end of the meal the manager came over to ask how everything was going and ensured that we were taken care of. When we arrived, the cafe was comfortably busy for 1pm on a week day so you can tell its well liked by locals. I would definitely dine there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing place for lunch and coffee.

Have been to Stanton quite a few times. It has a very enticing decor and vibe, including a large area overlooking the Queen Street Mall. This time was lunch with an old work colleague. I had the salmon and she had the house pie (chicken and leek). Both were delicious. We finished with coffee, but did not partake of any of their renowned cakes. Be warned you cannot book a table for less than six so we arrived at 11:30 to beat the lunch crowd. On previous visits I stood in a line waiting for a table. Even so it is worth the wait. Definitely worth a visit.

The cakes and tarts looked glorious from outside we try resisting but gave in and stopped for a sweet bite. We had 2 large cappuccinos and a beautiful lemon meringue tart. The lemon tart was amazing, as a french chef it is very precious when you find good pastries and not just deconstructed desserts in restaurants. And we had a very friendly service from a gentlemen with glasses and his colleagues were all smiling and friendly. Def recommend

Thanks Stanton for providing an actual cafe (coffee, cake, lovely looking brunches on the WEEKEND!) in Brisbane's CBD. And fantastic location (NOT in a food court or noisy streetside. Yay), open to Brisvegas' blue skies, overlooking the Mall, up among the treetops. Relaxing, luxurious-yet-casual fitout. Stone & Wood on tap!! Cakes were yum and good selection. Prices were fair/affordable. Plenty of tables. Service was excellent: swift and friendly.

Beautiful venue with amazing food. It’s just unfortunate that the service was awful. I went there for a quiet birthday dinner on Saturday. My friend called up to ask if we can bring our own birthday cake to celebrate after dinner. They said YES. But when we got to cake, the waiter said we’re not allowed to have cake, and they he’ll have to take the cake back as soon as we’re finished doing whatever we want to do with the cake (except eating it). Then he said we can pay for cakeage if we wanted and left us. We called him back to ask how much cakeage was, he said cakeage wasn’t available, and that we have to leave when we’re done. He didn’t offer any explanation. The service was cold and unwelcoming, and it just felt like they wanted us out of there ASAP. Definitely not the way my friend wanted to be treated on her birthday. It’s fine if their policy doesn’t allow us to have our own cake, but they should’ve just told us from the beginning.

I was there a week ago with a friend and she intends to take her husband there on valentine's day. This was my third visit within 6 months and on each occasion my friends and I were very impressed with the food, service and decor. The desert cabinet is impressive if you are popping in for coffee and a sweet treat. All staff were very helpful and friendly. I have recommended this venue to other friends. I am very surprised by the reviews that are negative. I will definitely be returning.

This place is worth the search. I accidentally found this great cafe in the David Jones arcade and I consider it a blessing in disguise. Lovely atmosphere and nicely styled location but the coffee is expensive for the quality and amount received. Iced Long Black is $6.5 which is more than most places. Food is good quality abd reasonably priced.

Had morning tea here today. Great atmosphere and a good choice of cakes and slices that are not the usual ones that you get everywhere else. Prices are fair. The slice of chocolate cake was enormous, too big for one person, just right for two, and it was fabulous. The service was first rate. We will be going back to try some of the other cakes!

This is a very aesthetically pleasing cafe and bar venue. The menu looked good too but unfortunately on the day of my visit there were issues with the oven so the only items available for breakfast we pastries and beverages. So as far as a plain croissant and coffee go it was great. Wonderful ambience and a nice spot to eacape the noise and movements below. Hope to revisit this place in the future and try out the fill menu.

The decor here is indeed nice, and so is the location, with a leafy outlook above the mall. It took us three goes to actually get a table (the first was reserved, without there being a reservation sign, the second was about to be merged to make a larger table for another group, third time was the charm). After that, the staff member seemed to forget about us, and we had to get someone's attention for a menu. We were just going for a drink and my main gripe was paying $5 for a small pot of tea which was a tea bag and not even loose leaf. I really resent paying for a tea bag in any cafe or restaurant. The milk vessel was difficult to pour from too, so I got that everywhere. The food smelled and looked great, but I won't be going back.

My friend and I dined at your cafe on Wednesday, 24/7/2019. The service was good and the decor lovely. However, there were limited options on your menu for guests who are vegetarians. My friend, who is vegetarian decided to order your salad of lettuce and tomato. My friend asked the waitress if she could add avocado to the salad but the waitress advised this was not possible. Very disappointing.

This is a new venue with great atmosphere and tasteful decor however being relatively new there were some evident teething issues with the service feeling somewhat haphazard as we were attended to by no less than 5 different wait staff. This at times caused some minor confusion such as service questions being duplicated by multiple staff etc. That aside, the staff themselves are cheerful and friendly; the food, good; and location, great with views over Queen St Mall. Some items off the Castle Towers Menu would’ve been a welcome addition but the Lemon Meringue Cake was excellent! I no doubt look forward to coming back.

We went there last Sunday lunch time. Staff was friendly upon arrival, lamb dry and salmon salad was ok. One coffee came with a lipstick mark on the side so we returned it. Got tea and cake here. The decor is excellent, the seat was really comfortable, I'll definitely come here again for when I need to kill time in the CBD :) each part: The tea was good, teacup and saucer very pretty. The tea cup was chill to the touch - a splash of boiling water like what's going into the teapot would've fixed that, I don't want my tea going cold from a cup sucking the heat out of it. The carrot cake - displayed very nicely, not enough cream and over-microwaved. Like pause and suck air in with the food it's too hot. Carrot Cake doesn't need to be heated up, although this was dense so maybe it needed a bit of help? I'd describe it as "just fine", nothing special, bit dense, not a lot of flavour, not going to suggest it to anyone. The aerated cream was melting from the cake heat, I'm not even a fan of cream and still ran out with not enough to put on each bite of cake. The service was certainly prompt and nice, but I'd suggest if you're going to use The Stanton as a basis maybe copy the staff members being responsible for certain tables? I saw... five or six different faces? First person took me to my table, gave me menus, asked if I wanted water. Another came by and took my order, another came by asking if I wanted water - no, first one back asking if I'm ready to order - already did, another asked if I wanted water, and another asked about water, food arrived with the one who took my order. O_o Geez!

TLDR: just go to the food court. It was alright, nothing exciting or new. The food was mediocre, a bit lacking in seasoning. The price was average (not cheap) but for the same price you can get better quality elsewhere. Coffee was a bit watered down, which is surprising...They have so many competitions around them, yet this is all they've got. I'm not sure if it's because they were under staffed or what but the management needs a lot of work. None of the staff looked particular thrilled to be there and most of them were too busy to properly attend to guests. The view is alright, you can get the same thing from the maccas balcony. Décor was pretty good, but again...You can find similar taste elsewhere.

Lovely decor, black ceiling with Chandelier, beautiful mix of furnitures. I’ve only been here for desert and coffee/tea. The hot lava chocolate cake was beautiful presented on a exquisites plate. The staff greeted us was super nice and welcoming. I had an orange juice but half was ice and it wasn’t freshly juiced that I hoping. Also ordered a green tea and I asked for more hot water, the staff with an Accent then asked me if I wanted another tea. I said no, more hot water please. The pot had just a tea bag for baby Jesus sake.
