Truly authentic Vietnamese cuisine at a reasonable price given the upper scale neighbourhood it is in. We enjoyed our spicy beef pho a lot but what made it perfect was the customer service. The manager and staff were so warm and welcoming throughout the entire meal. They even went as far to go buy a lighter for us when we needed one for our birthday cake! Top quality place.

The food was but ordinary for us. A bit expensive compared to its counterparts. I ordered the pineapple juice and 3/4 of the glass was ice.. Basically drinking only 1/4 of the juice. The only upside was the waitress. She was very accommodating and inform us every now and then with our orders.

Asked for the starters to come first and then a while later for the mains. However in hurry to go, just started to bring all dishes out. Need to improve service but otherwise very nice. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the pork on vermacilli (which also had wider noodles with it). The flavours were beautifully blended and it was a delight to savour and eat. I highly recommend the deep-fried icecream ball - OMS it was decadent! Fully wrapped in a fine layer of batter wreathed with long-strand toasted coconut and draped with thin homemade caramel sauce! The first time we went the fish clay pot was to die for and everything else we have tried was fantastic. The next time was a little dissapointing. The service was brilliant, our order was taken the instant we were ready, no trying to hail the waiter. Also the restaurant itself was very open, and the colour scheme relaxing. Highly recommended.

Found this place through stroll of south bank. Warm day wanting something cooling and refreshing, this definitely fit the brief. Rice paper roll had very thick tough paper to bite and pull apart. The 3 colour ice had all that it should have. Sat away from the walk way so was good.

Good service and good food. We had an early dinner here on Saturday 8/5/21. If you are not into spicy food beware of the beef dishes. ( only 2 from memory). Chicken with noodle dishes were great and good quantity.

Went there last night. Good food but we were not happy with the service. We were asked just once if we wanted a drink, before the food came out. Then not again for the rest of the night. We waited for ages for someone to clear our plates and take our desert order but in the end we gave up and asked for the bill and went somewhere else for desert.

I had a quick lunch here recently - rice paper rolls (prawn) were very fresh and pretty tasty, but the lettuce was like you’d have on an Aussie egg and lettuce sandwich (not my favourite). They have saigon special and ba ba ba beers which is good (but of course in Australia they come in at around 150000VND!)

I'm not an expert on Vietnamese cuisine this was my first time trying it. My review will focus mostly on the presentation and portions of the dishes. I tried the beef Pho, it was good but for the price I expected a little bit more meat on it, it had 5 small pieces. The soup was big I'm not gonna lie but it was mostly water with vegetables but, tasty after all.

Its an okay place, what you would expect from South Bank, the pricing is very reasonable for the area but it comes at the cost of slightly lesser food. Flavour wise is great, but the ingredients are just okay. For example, very few toppings and meat in soups, lower quality beef in stir fries, etc. Theyre also a bit overworked, need more staff, but they do try their best and they handle service well. There aren't many other Vietnamese places around south bank so if you're craving a Pho it'll be good enough.

If you dine in...hands down the best Pho you'll have in Brisbane! Couldn't recommend it more...from the meat, broth, basil, bean sprouts, chilli sauce the lot!! Soo good! Plus the coconut cream curry is rather delicious too! Order online...massive disappointment. The Pho only comes with broth, meat, noodles and raw onion. None of the expected garnish provided to make it proper Pho. Underwhelming.

We dined here, mid week, met up with a friend. I love Vietnamese food, so was quite looking forward to a meal here. A recent trip to Vietnam, opened my eyes to the delicious Vietnamese cuisine. The staff are very friendly, very attentive and very obliging with dietary requirements, as we had 1 Vegetarian and 2 gluten intolerances. Prices are reasonable. Sadly the food was all rather bland tasting. I had an entree of 2 huge prawn rice rolls - just a little too big and a bit too chewy, for me. My grilled salmon was delicious, however the steamed veggies were just that - no flavour- perhaps a little seasoning and a lemon wedge would have made a difference.

However we do have a problem with a rubbish wheelie bin being dragged out right behind our table. Also flowers removed from our table while we were still sitting there! I went here awhile ago and the food was pretty good. The Vietnamese style of cooking is truly extraordinary. The service was pretty good, but one time I ended up waiting about 45 minutes until being served. Great place with great food, but can be very busy. Though needless to say, if you haven’t been you must go!

This place was chosen on the fly for a quick, but still quite leisurely Sat lunch with a friend. We were seated straight away, chilled bottle of water & glasses already on the table. Menus in hand, we decided very quickly what we wanted but despite the lunch rush dying down, it took quite a long time for service, even for the offer of a drink. That said, the staff were very pleasant. Food-wise, not good. The beef in the warm salad was about as tender as my sneakers. Given the many options in that part of town, I'd most likely give it a miss next time I find myself at South Bank.

We had calamari salad and it felt like the calamari was not fresh but from frozen. The salad otherwise was good. Portion size a bit small compared to other places. The fish hot pot was too salty and fish a bit over cooked. Meals took a while to come. Turmeric noodles were nice and so was the duck and eggplant dry curry which we’ve never seen before in a viet restaurant. It felt more like a viet fusion restaurant rather than authentic traditional viet. Then again we didn’t try their traditional dishes like pho or vermicelli salads.

I loved the rice paper roll as it had a lot of fillings inside, their special fried rice was our favorite and so were all the dishes we tried. Will go back there as soon as we are in Brisbane again.

How many things can be forgotten in an order request? Apparently many. Maybe you should implement some sought of electronic ordering system. Every single item I ordered in a party of 10 was forgotten. Apparently I'm invisible. Good food though.

We have been here a number of times and really like it each time. We tend to choose something different off the menu on every visit, and have yet to be dissappointed. The soft shell crab is delicious, and their seafood is cooked well, with amazing flavours. The service has been good, with the occasional arrogant-waiter experience, but the food tends to over-ride that which is why we keep going back.

Main benefit of this restaurant is the location. Had the pho, which was definitely not very flavourful compared to other restaurants. Other dishes were mediocre as well. Service was average. Price is in line with other restaurants in the area, but unfortunately not reflected in quality.

Hello Viet de lites, As we promised your staff last evening, we are writing to complain. My husband and I treated ourselves to dinner at your establishment before the Adam Hills show last night. We asked for a bottle of water for our table and only received one drinking glass before the server rushed off????? This isn't, however, our complaint. Our spring rolls were delicious. Our satay chicken and veg was lovely. Unfortunately, the combination fried rice can only be described an inedible. The only taste that we could identify was burnt onions. I forced myself to swallow three or four bites and left the remainder on my plate. Not once after our meals were delivered briskly to our table did any of your service staff ask how our meals were or whether we would like anything else. It was obvious that the staff's top priority was to get as many diners in and out our your establishment during the evening as humanly possible. They cleared and wiped tables often before departing dinners had completed the task of gathering their belongings to leave. Providing quality customer service was certainly not on the agenda. This lack of service is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone Little Stanley Street, Southbank. Before paying (and not being asked how we enjoyed our meals) we explained how unhappy we were with the fried rice. The young female at the register's only reply was 'Sorry'. We requested that we not be charged for the inedible meal. She just looked sheepish and said that she wasn't allowed and that the manager was not present to give her authorization. Why was there not even an assistant present on a busy Saturday night to deal with our concerns? We did speak with a young male employee who told us that it was our mistake. We should have flagged down an employee during our meal and that the kitchen would have prepared another dish for us. Does anyone else think that this is an amazingly absurd excuse? Went to this restaurant just on chance, and I am not sure why there are many complaints. The food was excellent, and the quality was great, had no problem with service. My friend who used to work there said don't go there for Authentic Vietnamese food, and yes, in Vietnam we never saw the same dishes, but still a good, slightly expensive meal with good service.
