Excellent service and food. We had our toddler with us, and the waitress brought over colouring equipment for us without us asking. She was very attentive but not pushy. The seafood was tasty and fresh. It was a wonderful experience.

Nice place that predominantly serves seafood. We ordered chips and pasta in addition to the seafood platter. The seafood was grilled in a lot of olive oil, which I didn’t mind but my companion, not so much. The chips had the right crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. The pasta was al dente 👍 but the dish tasted bland. Service was average but not unpleasant. I got to see the fairy lights switch on as the sun set, which was pretty. I liked the experience overall.

My husband brought me here for date night, we had such a wonderful evening. The wait staff were fabulous, very prompt with their service and friendly. The food didn't take long at all and was quite the site! (We ordered the lobster and bug share platter) I've never had seafood at a restaurant before so this was all new to me. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The bugs were beautiful and lobster divine. I'm not a fan of cold prawns, but everything else was great. I would love to see an option for hot prawns in a nice creamy garlic sauce 😍 Happy to come back and recommend!!

Excellent seafood served by great staff and is a nice location. If you want seafood, then go to Yellowfin and order the seafood platter. It is sensational. A great selection and variety of items of very good seafood. The crab we had was not the best, quite dry and not sweet and tender like I expect crab meat to be. (Im guess this was just the crab on the day). The rest was fresh and cooked to perfection (especially the calamari) They do serve non seafood dishes and from what I could see they look good - especially the lamb cutlets.

Nestled on the corner streets of Bustling Broadbeach you’ll find the staff truly cares about your experience. The food was fresh, properly prepared served to impress and is great value for money. Absolutely amazing food dishes – menu is very well thought out with just the right amount of food and beverage selections. Everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best Sunday lunch meal we’ve had in a long while. Definitely not your run of the mill restaurant. Highly recommend. We look forward to visiting again. Dinner 05/01/21 “Bugs & Prawns” & “Marinara Olio” The restaurant was in a good location on the Main Street. The service was great and very friendly, but the food was incredible the bugs & prawn dish was one of the best dishes I have had in years seafood cooked perfectly. I was a bit worried as the menu is quite large which can be a worry but all the food & drinks were great. We will definitely go back next time we’re in Brisbane. The staff were friendly. The only thing I have to say is that. This is the third time using the Groupon voucher and it’s not as good as the first time coming. The platters have got a lot smaller. Communication with restaurant was great, as we had a big group they were nice enough to allow us to order off the menu. The staff were great and kept a good eye on our table. OMG just go!!! The food is great value, delicious and super centrally located to Southbank precinct. The staff were mega nice and accommodating clearly communicating available times due to covid in a professional and polite way. The premises are clean and offer a great view of what's going on but out of the elements so you can just relax and get down to enjoying your meal and good company. when my mom first told me we were going to a seafood restaurant, i wasn’t all that excited as I’m not a seafood person. However, the menu offered a great variety and had meals without seafood to pick from (if you’re not a fan of seafood) The pasta I chose (i’m not too sure of the name but it was non seafood and used green pasta) was literally one of the BEST pastas i’ve ever had! It’s left a memorable mark on me and in my food diary and is a definite must try! However, the fish and chips my brother ordered was a let down :( he gave up eating it after a bit and wanted to eat my pasta instead smh. the service was really good though so my 4 stars are for the service and the oasta

Amazing food!! We got the mixed oysters, seafood platter, and 2 pasta dishes. Seafood was very fresh and flavourful, cooked well. Oysters were awesome, flavours worked well. The pasta was good however one dish came underdone, but rectified straight away, and they were very apologetic. Service was outstanding and nothing got missed, attention as soon as we needed. What a wonderful surprise this restaurant was. We booked here on a Groupon voucher not knowing how it would be. Firstly the service was outstanding. We had an issue with our booking and Boris went above and beyond to fix it. Wait staff were also excellent. Secondly, the food was delicious! AWESOME FOOD + STAFF!!! We had an awesome time at the restaurant yesterday. The lady who seated us and Lisandro were super helpful and kind. Lisandro explained everything really well and helped us have the perfect meal, he explained everything well and helped us with all the little details too (condiments, correct utensils etc). Food obviously was totally awesome. My wife enjoyed her bugs and prawns, I don't really eat seafood, but my steak was totally fantastic. So, thanks to the chef too. Actually, it was for my wife's birthday...and we were having a tough birthday, but because of you guys, it was rescued! We had a great dinner, it was literally the difference maker!!! The 3 of us ordered a Yellowfin seafood platter and we were very satisfied with the quantity and quality. We like every single item in the platter. In particular, we like the Moreton bay bugs, a local speciality in Brisbane. (Bay bugs are known as crayfish in Asia and Europe.) It is a good opportunity to try the various types of seafood in the region in one meal.

We were gifted a Groupon coupon to dine here. The coupon was for the seafood platter for two and two glasses of wine. We dined on a very busy Friday evening. Despite this, service was acceptably prompt and very friendly, helpful and efficient. The seafood platter consisted of one large piece of battered barramundi, one blue swimmer/sand crab, one bug tail (split and mornayed), four oysters naturelle, four scallops (grilled on the half shell), four chilled king prawns, one large slice of smoked salmon, four moderate sized clams/pipis, a serving of salt and pepper calamari some chips all served on a green salad. The fish batter was quite dark and a little doughy but the fish itself was well cooked. Prawns were succulent and flavoursome except for one which was quite soft and watery. Of course, when there are only four, that is a 25% fail. Scallops were acceptable, if a little dry. The oysters lacked juice but otherwise appeared and taste fresh and appropriately flavoursome. Sand crab was succulent and full of flesh though a little bland an, of course sand crab is always a lot of hard work. Given that sand crab is quite cheap (I think the current market rate would not be more than $15/kg for this quality), a second one on a platter for two would not have been a big ask. The bug tail was flavoursome though slightly dry. Calamari was quite good, as was the smoked salmon. The clams were also good, though two per person seems a little niggardly. Now to dessert. My partner ordered the sticky toffee pudding and a flat white with low fat milk. I ordered a panna cotta, after identifying with the waitress that the flavour was raspberry, and a strong black coffee with a shoot of Frangelico. So, here is where things began to really go wrong. Firstly the coffee was served before the dessert with a quite significant delay between mine arriving and my partner's turning up. When hers did finally arrive, it was stone cold. After managing to bring this to the waitress' attention a replacement coffee was arranged. In the mean time desserts arrived.my partner was happy with hers but mine was nutella flavoured rather than raspberry. The waitress was once again notified and arranged to replace it with the correct item. She also offered to allow me to consume the one already served, which I attempted to do but did not finish as it was not too my taste. Eventually, the correct dessert arrived but I found it not to be satisfactory either. Though the flavour was quite good, the density and general texture were wrong. Panna cotta should not have straight sides as this one did (this is an indication that too much gelatin has been used, there should ideally be enough gelatin to just prevent collapse but no more). The texture should be silky smooth. This one had a somewhat grainy texture. Perhaps acid in the fruit somewhat curled the cream? The attached photo gives some indication of this textural flaw.

Have been to this restaurant twice. Both times the service was absolutely amazing. The food is superb and the wine is great. The first time we went we had 2 vouchers for 2 people (4 people in total). One of the people from the group dropped out so there was only 3 of us. The staff there allowed us to keep one of the vouchers to use at a later time (which we did, just as amazing the second time). I cannot express how great, friendly and professional the staff were. Great restaurant, definitely will go again

We booked over a week ago and they still wanted to sit us at the entrance near the road when there were plenty of vacant tables. Our bill was incorrect and they tried to serve my husband a drink he didn't order and that's what they tried to charge us extra for. My trout I ordered looked and tasted suspiciously like salmon. I booked here for my boyfriend's birthday as he loves seafood and the service was fantastic. I rang ahead to request if I could get birthday candles etc organised to come out on his dessert and the manager Lina was so accommodating! Our Dutch-American waiter was very attentive and funny and catered to our every request with a big smile and a great attitude. The seafood platter is probably the best Southbank has to offer, the bugs, sea crab and prawns were fresh and juicy. The oyster shots were also delish! Would definitely come here again :)
