The gentleman at the front was kind and compassionate. He saw that the elderly person I was with was frail,so just permitted him to walk through to the dining room. The staff in the dining room were pleasant and helpful. The food was good too.

Popped in for a quick lunch, as soon as we entered the air-conditioning was a relief from the heatwave outside. We ordered the pumpkin risotto, with chicken, as well as the seafood fettucini. The food arrived to our table a short time after ordering and was really nice. Now it wouldn't be lunch without a nice cold beer, Bentspoke Barley Griffin to be exact. A great place for lunch/ dinner, club was nice and clean with friendly staff.

The staff are great. Don’t come here for an evening meal unless you want an early dinner (or you’re elderly). The kitchen closes at 8:30 sharp. I can’t tell you what the food is like - I’m not in my 70’s.

Good selection of cakes and ice cream, with James squire cider and local beers on tap. Can be busy. Has a outdoor seating area also. Note that the Car park can be full during sporting seasons as there are two training grounds nearby.

Local beers on tap, resturant looks great, food was good. Update...Most recent visit I tried the Pad Thai and the Curry of the day which was Cambodian Chicken. The chicken was so dry and bland in both dishes not sure it was even cooked with the sauce at all. The table next to us where complaining about their lamb shanks, 6 or 7 plates full left un-eatten. Another about the Lamb ragu. The staff were nice but all they could do was apologise. Maybe the cooks were having an off night but just incase I might take my time coming back. The young woman in the Cafe was also very sweet.

Food just okay, menu much reduced. Would think a chef could make gnocchi at least as good as my husband makes at home, but sadly wasn't fluffy pilllows, more rubbery than eating a sea sponge, and why are prawn tails left on for a dish that has a lot of sauce!

Friendly greeting on arrival from the very helpful receptionist. Shown to our seats, no lining up to order either dinner or at the bar. Meals did not take too long to come and all meals were well presented and value for money - I had the steak with salad and chips for $20 😊 my 3x friends hadcthe calamari and all loved it especially the presentation. We also had a steak and a chicken snitzel that my mates were happy with. We will all be coming here again and bringing other friends and family. Parking easy, plenty of room in the bistro and we could hear each other when talking. Bathrooms clean and well maintained.

Nice modern restaurant, with nice outdoor area. Good food, but sizes are either to big or to small. I thought it was a footy club so why are they playing rugby when a footy game is on. Used to be more kid friendly, now not so much. One staff was paticulaiy rude to children. Also now children have to stand 3 meters away from bar, but what will they do. Jump over the counter!?

Light Food , coffee and cake was purchased from the cafe shop section and was very tasty and well presented ,it was a busy time while we were there and had a very lengthy wait for service to the table , perhaps they were short staffed and it will be a better on our next visit .

It's a pretty great place to go with your family to enjoy a schitnzel and salad and some delicious desert. I've been going here for years with 3 generations of my family and I've got to say it has never disappointed me. Although the food isn't amazing it satisfies me and the place has a nice comfortable feel to it. The staff are always trying to help and the serving time is quite good for the amount of people who go here. It's got a pub section for enjoying drinks with your mates and a gambling section if you are into that.

Had lunch there recently with friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the refurbished dining area. The food was very nice and reasonable prices. It was fine as a conference centre. I didn't avail myself of the pokies downstairs. The staff were super nice and professional. One thing I didn't like were the multiple flickering LED lights. That made it hard to concentrate sometimes. But a lovely venue otherwise

Great place to go and watch the footy (AFL) and have a drink, but not the best place for food. We ended up staying for lunch and dinner as we were watching the footy. The pizza was pretty good, but that is about it. The roast of the day was tiny and the lamb was tasteless. My daughter's kids meal was probably bigger than the roast of the day. Secondly our pizza's for lunch took 40 minutes to come out and the place had hardly any customers. People who ordered 10-15 minutes after us got their food way before us. The other issue is that no one comes around to clean the tables. You would think after sitting on out table for 3 hours that we would have liked our table cleaned. Really, it was the D Team working tonight. So slow, lazy and not on the ball at all.

My friend and I drove down to Canberra to see the 60,000 Poppy display. Which was breath taking. We stopped into the club for lunch which has changed since I used to frequent it back in the 1980s. Lots of food to choose from we both had a beef stew which was very tasty. Looked at the old footy photos from the 1980s yes I recognised some. The place looks great

It's a large club catering for people to mix and enjoy company, for all levels of mobility. There are ramps and lifts for wheelchairs. Food and coffee were good. Staff are courteous and helpful.

Fell upon this club by chance on a 4 day visit to Canberra, glad we did, appeared to have been recently updated. The club had a friendly vibe, pleasant staff, and meals were very good, no complaints. We visited the club each night on our stay.

Aggressively strict rules with regards to the kids, must have had a warning re their liquor licence. Food was OK but have an issue with anywhere so disorganised that an order for hot chips, cup of tea and a soda water had to happen in three orders from three different locations. Tea was expensive and undrinkable, soggy bag flavour as water was not hot. Overall was not terrible but could do way better.

One of Canberra's best clubs. Very roomy atmosphere, not too dim or bright, not too loud or quiet. Most staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and there's ample parking. If your kids like colouring-in, good. If not, teach them to like colouring in. The food is hit and miss. They consistently do great steak, schnitzel, pasta etc but have failed on more complicated dishes (Ratatouille was a let down, catch of the day left me with gastro). My tip to visitors is stick to basic and you're safe. Great for get-togethers.
