Over all the atmosphere was nice and the food was good. It was disappointing to be the last person to get my food waiting about an hour where as everyone else was served in a timely manor. I used the app which had the option to remove jalapenos which I selected. It was brought out with double jalapenos which was disappointing. All in all it was Christmas time and the staff clearly felt bad so I won't hold it against them but it did make the work Christmas party upsetting having to give up and get the food in a takeaway container to have at home.

What a wonderful overlooked venue on the foreshore. Great staff, great service and great food. A really nice little gem. Highly recommend the brunch high tea, you can’t find it anywhere else in Canberra! Probably the only suggestion would be not to add a ‘weekend surcharge’.

The good: - easy to order over the phone - big meal - nice facilities - well packaged for takeaway - friendly people - excellent location - some high quality ingredients - fast service; ready for pickup in 15mins The bad: - chips lacked flavour, despite quantity - burger patty was dry - expensive, $27.70 for a burger + chips on Sunday, I got a coke from nearby bottle shop because otherwise it would be $5+

Did the Burger High Tea and it was yummy! The chips and bites were good, the beef slider did need a bit more sauce and the sweet treats were a nice bonus. Overall a good experience to try!

Great burgers for the price and alot of different options and the soft drinks came in sealed cans with a glass which is great as they aren't flat. As of December 2020, you have to order via an app. Main issue is that the waiting times are abit high.

Tuesday night Trivia - unfortunately won't be back. I wanted to love it as a southside trivia alternative but the night had no energy, the questions were too easy, unexciting and the pace was a bit slow. Little bit more enthusiasm from the MC would have done a world of wonder! 🍺🍔 = Not bad. Pretty good pubby fried food. Some vego options which was nice given the name. Good variety in the drinks offered. 🌃❄️ It got pretty cold in the enclosed outdoor area and it's only April! 😬 Could do with heaters. 🙋‍♂️🙋 Service was good - friendly, young casual vibes.

A few of us went for the Burger High Tea and absolutely loved it. Such a fan activity to do on the weekend and the variety of food and drinks really makes it worthwhile. The quality of the food is really good, everything added to the experience. The serving sizes are also very generous with everyone in attendance unable to finish everything. Highly recommended.

Cool place to eat. Good service and the burgers were delicious. My burger was massive. Could not eat it as a burger. You would need a mouth the size of a whale to get a bite into it. Beer batterd chips were awesome. The lemon lime and bitters were really good and they sell a good range of nice beers. Would be a great place to chill on a Friday after work or hang out on the weekend playing some the games they have available. Cool place. Highly recommended.

Went here with friends and got the burger high tea. Everything was tasty and hot, and the portions were very generous (a bit more than we could finish, so make sure you're really hungry). I think the beef sliders were everyone's favourites, and the little desserts were great too :) Service was also fast and friendly.

Staff are fantastic and the food is good. We went for a mates birthday and had the burger high tea (for three) with a single drink (I had cider but you also had the option of champagne or beer, or one hour bottomless drinks for another $20). Personally I feel like the high tea spin is a bit of a gimic and the trays are a bit cumbersome on the table but I also encourage you to try it yourself and then decide. $40pp for what you get (chips, fried haloumi, popcorn chicken, two sliders a macaroon, brownie and some caramel? Popcorn) isn't horrendous and I was definitely full walking out but if I controlled the world I would have done it differently (unfortunately for me I don't..) I could also see parking being an issue but if you are going here you should probably just get a cab and drink anyway as a big draw is their selection of beer (Der). All in all I would like to go back and try a full sized meal but the staff a good and price point is okay.

Came here and had the burger high tea with my new husband. Think the guy who served me initially was new as the order got a bit mixed up but staff soon sorted it, other than refunding my card fee. As this was less than $1 didn't worry me too much. But if you do have the high tea, make sure you don't have too many pints first - we were so full we had to take the desserts back in a box but they were a nice treat later that night!

Service was excellent. The food was satisfactory for American-style burgers but nothing all that different to anywhere else. Quite expensive for what it was, especially considering Brodburger is so close and has superior burgers, a greater range of beers and cheaper prices. Liked the idea behind the beer-battered chips but the dish should probably be renamed chipped beer-batter. Drop the price a bit and differentiate a little more and this would be a great place!

A local paper suggested at least then you had some of the best chips in Canberra. We Rose to the challenge and went for the chips. They sure were crunchy and tasty and well worth the effort. We also had a brekkie burger which was rather delicious and an avocado smash which I am told was very good . The venue also had some good views of the lake. This is a good option to pair with a Sunday morning and a visit to the glass work markets just down the road.

Great burgers. I tried the Porkie (pulled pork), which was delicious. I also had some of a friend's Pedro burger (beef pattie with chorizo and chevre), which was also fantastic. Both a little different and very well executed. The burgers came out quickly even though the place was fairly busy. I will say that the buns (brioche I think) were quite soft. This is fine if you pick up the burger with your hands and keep eating until you're done. But if you chop the burgers in half to share things get a little messy. Perhaps toasting the buns first would help?
