Delicious food served here and a great menu selection. They catered to our son really well too and staggered our food to help. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere in here was great. Indoor and outdoor seating available, and there was a queue when they opened up whilst we were there, which was only a good sign.

They took really good care of us when a party of friends and I turned up around 9.45 one Wednesday night. I went back for lunch, and experienced the same friendly vibe. It means a lot. The food is first class Italian, traditional - not trying to be super fancy - but a perfect version of what it is. And the wine list is smart. A great little trattoria.

Wow! Hands down the best Italian and I would even say restaurant food we’ve ever had. My husband and I started with a garlic and herb pizza as entree - so delish and light, cocktail and Peroni. We ordered 3 mains - a linguine pasta dimare, pumpkin ricotta ravioli and a mozzarella pizza. Incredible! 10/10, we ordered 2 desserts - the lemon tart and the Nutella crepe - absolutely sensational. Not one crumb was left haha!! We were so impressed with the service, as soon as our drink or plate was empty, we were offered another drink straight away & our plates cleared straight away. The waitresses were beautiful & so lovely. The manager even checked in to see how everything was. We will 100% be going back and trying more beautiful dishes :)

We had the most incredible dinner at Briscola - place was packed on a Tuesday night (glad we booked ahead!) and we sat outside. Even though the night was crisp, the heaters were great and there were even blankets if you needed them. The food was absolutely incredible, the cocktails were amazing and the staff were absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic food. Last minute booking which the staff accommodated very well. Food was presented beautifully, and served with a smile. Has the warmth of a family run Italian restaurant, with the style of fancy dining. Only complaint is the food lacked a bit of flavour, perhaps not the freshest veal back strap or seafood.

Took the kids out to dinner. Mixed results. Took 15mins for them to bring a cider out and 25 mins for a martini. Pizza base was very soggy. Ciabatta for the entree did not taste fresh. Had a pasta dish which was good. Atmosphere was very good! Poor waitresses didn’t look like they knew where to go and what to do. Having lived in Milan for two years I miss Italian food. This was as close as I have got in a long while. Very small (15ish tables) but cosy atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The food and drink while not cheap was great. Almost an Italian flavour to the dishes I tried. Including soft cheese starter called a burrata which was fantastic. Would recommend for visitors.

Charming Italian restaurant in the Melbourne Building which houses a great variety of restaurants. The menu was very diverse and the pastas it offered were standard and also very different. There are also a wide variety of pizza. Even a selection with an olive oils base which looked delicious, and are not often easy to find. Great host, great meal and reasonable prices.

What an amazing meal! My wife , son and I had dinner here. We ordered the Linguine Di Mare and the Casareccia Alibrandi. Yum! So good. The service was excellent - staff were friendly and smiling. The manager walked around and spoke with his customers - the whole experience was top notch. Definitely eating here when we visit Canberra again.

I recommend you try ordering some pizzas here during lockdown. Their pizzas are very popular, taste amazing!! Price is similar to your chain pizza outlet so it's amazing value. Great for a date night too, excellent food, service and ambience. We had tortellini and gnocchi for mains, and tiramisu for dessert. There's not much difference in taste/quality between this place and other similar places located in the Melbourne building. Pic is from few weeks ago as stuck in lockdown 2.0 now.

One of my favourite restaurants in Canberra! On most recent occasion, my facourite pizza had been removed from the menu, but they were happy to make it for me anyway! Turns out it is the owners' favourite as well! Delicious food and wonderful service!

Attended mid week without booking and was happily accommodated. Service was prompt without lingering or pushing. Food requests were accepted. Food was exceptional. Not so much as to be overwhelmed but not so little to feel ripped off. Chicken was succulent and well portioned. Vegetables were nightshades, perfect for low FODMAP diners. Desserts really shined. The pana cotta was superb, with the appropriate amount of gelatine. Flavours of vanilla, rich berries and velvet chocolate blend well together. For those preferring something more savoury, the Sicilian Lemon Tart is a must have. Freshly made, with marscapone cream, it is not tart or tangy like other lemon tarts but very much in the tradition of Italian desserts, well rounded and subtle.

I always look forward to a meal at Briscola! They do excellent woodfired pizza, a great variety of fresh pasta and of course excellent tiramisu. They also have a fantastic drinks list, but I can never go past an aperol spritz.

Absolutely superb food and superior service. The staff were extremely accommodating. The banquette was worth it for a large group and was really good value (make sure you let them know you want it before you rock up - we didn’t but they did it for us anyway)

My Partner and I alongside our friends booked Briscola last minute on a Friday afternoon and somehow got a table. The lady on the phone was veissues polite and helpful in securing a table for 4 at such notice. We arrived and were seated promptly and offered blankets and a gas heater for our outdoor sitting. The lovely waitress took our drinks and orders very quickly without rush and memorised our entire order with no issues. Our meals were amazing, taste, texture, colour, presentation. Truly an A for effort. No issues in a split bill and we were checked on twice for comfort and quality. If Sydney had a Briscola we would be dining there frequently. Thankyou for the wonderful meal and service I rarely give 5 stars.

Service was slow at the start. Understandable as the place looked popular with the locals and packed even for Monday night. Food was great and so was the service till the end. Very friendly and attentative. Good for families and groups. Saw individuals sit at the counter the layout can cater for all customers. We had the casareccia alibrandi, risotto pollo, rucola salad, arancini entree, kids had mac and cheese and ham and cheese pizza. It came with ice cream. Taste and detail wasn't missed. No photos with this review. Food was good so had no time to take photos :) It is a recommend.

Wow, we had such a beautiful dinner. Great flavours for a 3 course set menu that was absolutely delightful. Our meals were topped with great wait staff who each had such pleasant demeanours. We loved our dinner here tonight. My 7 year old daughter and I just had our first 'Mummy-Daughter date' at the Briscola Pizzeria. A real Italian restaurant. Great food. Good wine selection. Warm. Inviting. All the things you would expect from a restaurant that’s been going for 9+ years. Strangely I’d never heard of it but the owner promised us he is going to up his social media presence. I had the veal scallopini.. wow. Lovely and a huge portion. So creamy and full of flavors. Wife had gnocchi and couldn’t finish it it was so big. Really well priced. 4 people 2 entrees 4 mains 2 deserts. Wine. Pre and post drinks. All for under $300. Bucks. I personally really like it when you can talk to the owner who is actually working the room and you can hear the passion and the love of his restaurant in his voice. Great night. Great place. Will be back. I suggest you go.

Briscola Italian is a lovely restuarant right in the centre of Canberra, it has a varied menu of Italian dishes and never fails to impress. Both my fiancé and I have been to Briscola separately for personal dining and party dining without any issues along the way. The menu is reasonably priced and won't set you back too much. I would recommend briscola for anyone looking for Italian cuisine in the City.

Packet Gnocchi I was looking forward to an authentic, traditional meal but found out the gnocchi was not homemade. There's no escaping the chewy texture of store bought gnocchi. This was such a disappointment because the mushroom and gorgonzola sauce was incredibly rich and full of flavour (though a tad runny) and good enough to eat alone! The restaurant itself is wonderful and the staff were friendly and attentive.

A cosy institution worth visiting for lunch or dinner. The wait staff are lovely (old school customer service) and the food is delicious - authentic Italian as only a family run business can deliver. Endorsed by the Italian Embassy no less! Excellent online booking service too. We were fortunate to score a last minute Friday night booking indoors on a rainy evening!

We were there last week. The ravioli di zucca ( pumpkin ravioli) were first class. They were in league with those you can get in Mantova /Mantua which is renowned for its local pumpkin ravioli with butter! Best with a white wine. I was very happy. I’m generally unimpressed with glut Italian food in Australia. This was a regional dish done very well. Maybe the cracked salt on top was a bit much for my taste, but the ravioli -I think 4 were really first class, and that number is quite sufficient. Eat slowly and savour. The antipasti & arancini were excellent, great pane di casa (bread), and a deadly dessert- crostata di limone. There was no need to order a secondo. My wife also loved her dish, but I can’t remember what she had. Typical of me. She’s also sniffy about Italian food here because of our experiences with regional food in Italy. The owner’s family is from the Veneto. His mum prepares the ravioli.
