Comments of Eighty/Twenty Food
G. M.
Really enjoyed the experience, there are lots of options on the menu with food! Quality of the food was good and portions good as well. I do wish they had the option of a chai latte!
Food and drinks came out at different times with a bit of wait time however the people are nice and good atmosphere. Would recommend :)
L. W.
Loved the Sliced Potato. Would definitely have it again. I would have given a higher score but the orders for 4 people did not come out anywhere near each other. One person had a toasted sandwich which was well and truly finished before anything else came out. We waited quite a while and then asked about our order. Eventually 2 more meals came and after a few minutes more the final meal arrived. Everything was enjoyed but they let themselves down by not organizing to have all meals delivered together.
N. V.
Really delicious peanut butter acai bowl! Nice and thick and I could order on the app which was great! Very filling and tasty would go back for sure!
V. B.
Great avo on toast.
I have lost count of the places where the balsamic reduction see. to her there just for the looks and actually detract from the dish. Not here! ALL the ingredients were really well balanced. Even the fresh chillies, which packed a bit of a punch 😀
L. B.
Excellent place for getting healthy food with good serving sizes. Extensive menu and great protein and salad options. Whenever I'm in town I will be visiting.
J. L.
Refreshing and healthy meal! Food was extremely fresh! Left extremely happy!
m. k.
Lovely little place. Loved the way they presented food. Food was good. Quick service. Highly recommend.
S. R.
Delicious food. Didn't give 5 stars because the staff are good but are always busy. Tables are always sought after and sometimes not enough available and long waits for coffee and other drinks
J. K.
I really enjoyed a breakfast catch up with friends at this cozy central cafe. Our meals were delicious and fresh and the coffee good. Both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice modern but subdued feel to decor. We will certainly return.
j. b.
food is always quality, presented well and more than substantial as the portion sizes are great. staff are friendly. Caters very well to vegans! lots of variety here :)
S.
Dine indoors or outdoors. Located at the south eastern corner of the rainbow roundabout in Braddon. Healthier breakfast and lunch options with focus of whole foods. Juices taste wonderful and accompanies the meals well. Great coffee also. Parking can be tricky and limited nearby in this area. Suggest parking several streets away and walk to this location.
R. E.
Ordered the French toast was delicious and serving was huge. Recommend checking the menu online before going to make sure they have the type of food and drinks you are looking for.
S. V.
I had to edit this review based on my last visit. Service was faster this time, but the portion size reduced drastically even though we payed the same price as before. Very nice cafe in Braddon. Coffee is good, plenty of vegan options, we tried the avocado mushroom toast and the green nourishing bowl, both made vegan with scrambled tofu. Food was very tasty and portion size is good (not anymore). Only downside is that the food arrived 30 minutes after the coffee, so coffee was already cold. Place was very busy. Overall we liked it and would definitely come back.
S. C.
Good for brunch. I recommend to try their juices. They are very refreshing during summer. Also helps in hydrating during hang over. Would love to go back again
T. G.
Had an outstanding breakfast here, an eggs benedict and lovely long black. Friendly service and a location close to the best part of the city too.
T. T.
Gluten free, vegan heaven 🤤 I would move to Canberra for this place its so gooood
L. S.
First time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of my meal. I got the Avo and tomatoes with a side of eggs and boy was it delicious! I would 100% recommend visiting this cafe to grab a bite and I will definitely be back.
One star was lost due to service - Upon arrival I wasn’t greeted by staff and was confused as to whether or not they had table service. So I awkwardly stood at the door for a while until I noticed numbers on tables and figured out what the system was then finally grabbed a table that was free.
L. T.
Food is nice, but it's so slow and the service isn't great. Waited 30mins for avocado smash. Used to be a favourite go to breakfast spot. Not sure why their service standards have dropped so much.
F. G.
Food was great, service was good. A few mix-ups from the team that took a while to amend. However, the food and coffee was great and fresh. Setting was nice, with a massive shaded seating area. It is on the more expensive side but not over the top.
R. k.
Great coffee and food the breakfast burgers were very good after a night out. There busy for a reason.
L. B.
Nice cafe located close to the main shopping centre. The staff was friendly, the service ok. I would have given 5 stars but they don’t have a too big of a vegan/vegetarian selection. But the coffee was great.
M. T.
Great spot in Braddon for breakie or lunch. I had breakfast and my friend had a lunch dish -both were good. No table service and were very busy but staff friendly.
M. O.
Very busy but worth the wait, the Green Veggie Breakie is healthy n delish! The juice is fresh and the meals are a good size for the price.
s. k.
This is my reply to the owners reply. First of all thank you for your reply this means you guys really care about us customers.
Sorry I don't remember properly if it was a Monday or Tuesday but she was not in the dress code and wearing pink something. They were all in a hurry burry to go smwhere and my brother says she is somehow related to the owner. I should have asked her name and am changing my previous rating due to not remembering the day properly.
P. S.
Goodness gracious me, who thought healthy food could taste so good! Very busy cafe but deservedly so . We had the Green Nourish and the Japanese Bowls very awesome!
B. P.
Great coffee and interesting food , but the service is abit disorganised and frantic, seems to lack a team cohesive, maybe some team management and service training would assist in making this a more smooth and seamless customer experience.
C. K.
Really really good coffee. Ordered delivery and it arrived super hot.
Thanks for such great service.
K. L.
Super big breakfast set!!!! Nice food and drinks!
C. D. G.
Gluten-free heaven. Since staying in Canberra, we have had brunch here every single day. The staff are super lovely and the food is incredible. It’s fresh, healthy and you can tell it’s made with a lot of love. The Buckwheat Waffles are a dream (it turns heads when it comes out of the kithen!) and their watermelon juice is superb. Plenty of options, all super delicious! Highly recommended!
K. J.
Good coffee good food
J. B.
Our food was crafted very well. A unique dish that was 80% healthy and 20% naughty. Our smoothies also matched our food combination.
M.
Great range drinks, all nice to have. Good healthy food, always delicious. Wait times can sometimes be long and there’s not much space inside to sit on an overcast day but the food makes up for it.
M. M.
Fantastic linguine pasta with chilli chicken and mushrooms. Couldn’t fault the taste and size. Perfect. My wife has the Japanese Salad with grilled salmon and said the same. All topped off with yummy coffees. 👍👏
M. W.
Perfect place for getting an amazing food and delicious coffee in Canberra. Friendly staff, perfect location, quick service though they were full. Extensive menu and great acai bowl and vegan gluten free sweets to sweetened your meal. Definitely be back
A. M.
Best vegan breakfast ever. We had avo mushroom with tofu scramble and vegan buckwheat waffle. Taste great Very generous portions loaded with fresh herbs and veggies. Loved it
A. “. b.
Standard cafe in the capitol - slightly more expensive then expected but good service.
D. M.
The coffee is ok. They take cash.
It is very loud sitting on the inside with all the machines working.
T. A.
Love the food here, always go for the crunch bowl. The smoothies are awesome too, acai is my favourite so far.
S. S.
Delicious food. Great coffee. Awesome location. This is the perfect brunch spot for friends, family, and dates.
H. S.
Decent food bit pricey. Cauliflower tacos were great.
J. T.
Great service, and yummy healthy food.
E. H.
The French Toast was delicious, but service was poor. It took 40 minutes for food to come out and over 45 minutes for a large cappuccino, despite questioning (twice) if it was coming. Staff were unapologetic and no compensations made.
M. M.
Dropped in by chance. Ordered an Açai Bowl covered in fresh strawberries and banana. Not generally a fan of such meals, but it was excellent, as was everything else my party ordered. The waffles were phenomenal. Great service, manager replaced a meal that had meat for vegetarian, no troubles. Would be very happy to come again.
N. M.
Best coffee. Lovely service. Decent prices.
f.
Delicious Japanese style salad and very very well made coffee. Staff are open friendly quick and alert. Somehow I'm made to feel special
F. M.
Didn't try the coffee, but the salad bowl was amazing. Lovely spot to sit out on a warm day
T. S.
Delish foods and beverages, prominent location, reasonable pricing given Canberra and Lonsdale Street. A well known establishment for a quick RV or prolonged catch up. Plus they stock Gabriel Coffee; what's more to say, it's almost impossible to get elsewhere in Canberra!
W. G.
Very noisy inside which makes it hard to have a lively catch up with a friend. Tumeric latte is yummy as is all of the food I've tried. Last visit I was disappointed with the 6 little bits of chicken that was put into my Japanese Salad. I'd have thought for $7 extra I would have got more than 2 mouthfuls of chicken.
M. T.
My favourite healthy meal spot. Perfect for a sunny day. Delicious food and drinks and great location.
J. B.
It was extremely busy on Christmas Day, still spot on coffee and food. Waited 20 minutes but it was worth it.
R. F.
Amazing, dishes with tons of variety. Amazing atmosphere, really welcoming.
C.
Nice pleasant atmosphere, didn't have to wait a long time for the food to arrive. Good variation on the menu. Nice breakfast spot.
S. J.
Love this place. It's become a frequent favourite. Great almost guiltless food!
M. N.
We ordered the salad bowl and a chicken risotto from here a week ago - hadn't tried it before - absolutely delicious. Fresh, quality ingredients and lovely lady on the phone assisted in resolving our delivery issues. Recommend!
A. H.
Beautiful fresh food prepared and presented perfectly. The staff are attentive and friendly. I’ve had brekky and lunch there and both times I was served fantastic dishes by welcoming staff. I had the waffles for brekky and another day the salmon for lunch. I thoroughly recommend 80/20 at Kingston.
M. L.
Foods are good, location is great, just one strong suggestion: Please replace the missing caps for your chair feet. The floor is concrete and chairs are iron. The noise of chair feet on the floor is just unbearable.
B. B.
Lovely staff, extensive menu, delicious food. Love the philosophy 80/20 - we ate across the menu and enjoyed the coffee, fresh juices, smoothies and breakfast menu. Everything was of high quality, service fantastic and friendly. This was during school holidays and CoVid challenges July 2020. Highly recommend!
M. D.
Great atmosphere and great food! Recommend to anyone to have breakfast here.
A. H.
Best acai bowl I've ever had!
B. M.
Had lunch with the family and loved the place. Great experience throughout with a great service, good food (the lamb was delicious), great atmosphere and attention to detail. Would go there every weekends if we were not living in Sydney... Hope you can expand in Sydney one day :-)
B. H.
Nice coffee. Consistently delivered day after day. They also have a great range of original smoothies.
D. C.
Delicious, generous servings and great vegan options. Busy, so noisy but good atmosphere. Simple furnishings, stainless steel etc, but attractive, chic environment. Very good coffee.
I. V.
I always love going to Eighty/Twenty as their food is healthy and delicious. We usually get the Chermoula Lamb and the Barramundi and the food is always so consistent and the servings are fantastic! The only thing I can comment on that makes it 4/5 rather than 5/5 is the customer service can be a bit hit and miss. More often than not, the staff can be slightly rude or incredibly unaccommodating but there's definitely a few staff members that are so nice and friendly so I definitely can recommend to give it a go and visit if you can!
N. M.
One of our favourites Breakfast and Lunch. Friendly service and great food and coffee. See the world go by and enjoy the sun when out. Love going there and will be back.
J. d.
Breakfast and service here was top notch. Would come back here again. :)
I. G.
This is my absolute favourite brunch place in Canberra. Not a huge menu but all the perfect things you want for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I particularly love the acai bowls or the healthier breakfast bowls. The coffee is always great and the wait times aren't too crazy even on a busy weekend.
L. M.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Smoothie of the Month super tasty. Plant based options available, I hit it twice in two days. So good! Great spot on the corner for people watching if you're on your own and great atmosphere, not too loud of you are catching up with mates. Staff very friendly.
A. A.
Breakfast is nice and tasty with lovely and friendly staff.
R. L.
The staff here are great, the coffee is good quality but the food is a bit of a let down. It’s great for an instagram photo but the taste is not the quality I expected. This seems to be quite a trend for Canberra cafes. Visually they look great but the flavours are bland.
Would come back for the coffee but not the food.
a. S.
Great place, good coffee and maybe the best breakfast I've ever had
C. F.
Delicious meals, and really friendly service.
T. A.
Everything is great- smoothies, food, the atmosphere.
I. P.
Loved their healthier breakfast options!
l. m.
"Great breakfast Eggs Benedict with excellent coffee "
M. K.
I only ever eat the açai bowl here because I can’t bear to go and miss out on eating it. The smoothies are amazing. The only thing that prevents me from going is the lack of parking. I’d love there to be a 15 min parking zone so I can go in, grab my açai bowl and go on my way.
P. M.
Love the look of the place. Very busy when we arrived for Sat lunch. Menu looked awesome - unusual and healthy. Ordering was easy amd no problem accommodating my LC. Meals turned up quickly and tasted as amazing as they looked! The Japanese salad bowl with salmon was huge, and delicious. My eye fillet lamb chermoula minus quinoa plus more greens was a winner.... beautiful flavours. It was such a big serving, I had enough leftover for dinner. Coffees were great!
E. H.
Great coffee and amazing food.especially loved the Japanese salad bowl. Everything came out very quickly too. Something on the menu for everyone, can't go wrong.
S. L.
Great coffee and yummy watermelon juice. We had the nachos and the smashed avo and we had a great time. Love the vegan options.
J. K.
Great good and a great range of vegan options.
R.
They were very, very busy. Coffee was good
P. N.
Went here for a mid afternoon coffee date with my hubby. Service was sublime, coffees were so yummy and smooth. The atmosphere was very inviting and didn't make you feel as though you had to rush to be anywhere 👍🏾
A. F.
Healthy cafe. My kid enjoyed the berry slice. I tried their sticky chai and it was nice. My friend had their golden latte. It looked great. If you want to be a bit healthy and try something different, this cafe is definitely an option.
R. K.
Fantastic food. Drove miles to get there 🤣
B. H.
We were lucky to get a seat outside and the weather was beautiful. Great sunny spot on a winter morning. Food was delicious, came out quite quickly even though it was busy and the serving size was generous. Only thing that wasn't great was the lack of space to sit down comfortably - we were packed in like sardines!
C. L.
Had breakfast here this week, it was so good! Highly recommend it, and I'll definitely be coming back. I had one of the breakfast bowls. Great coffee too.
K. D.
We had lunch for three, three Japanese bowls - two with salmon, one freshly squeezed oj and one refresher juice. The bowls were well sized, brown rice and pumpkin seemed to be the main flavours. A bit dry, could definitely use some olive oil/sesame oil/Japanese mayo and sriracha. A little bland for my liking, but the salmon was beautiful, moist and with crisp skin. All up a little steep at $84. I’d be happy to pay that if the bowls rocked my world. Has potential but probably wouldn’t order that again. Pleasant service.
L. S.
Really enjoyed our Brunch here at Eighty/Twenty, service was also really good. A wide variety to choose from the menu, with plenty of options for those that are Gluten Free & Ceoliac. Highly recommend this place
L. G. (.
Lovely food and atmosphere 😊
H. R.
The salmon Japanese salad bowl is delicious. The other stuff is okay. Coffee is really good price. But the food takes way too long to be prepared.
D. M.
Fantastic coffee (rich flavoured beans extracted in the right time for exceptional balance combined with perfectly steamed milk) and great tasting food. A mixed atmosphere that was a tad noisy in the industrial style decor.
Service was with a smile and relatively fast despite the busy morning rush.
Breaky wrap tasted great and the other dishes leaving the kitchen looked just as enticing. Price was on par with other café restaurants of similar ilk (ie a little pricey but at least it's quality).
I've found my breakfast for the future trips to Canberra.
S. M.
Delicious fresh food at a fair price. One of my favourite places in Canberra. The Japanese salad bowl is awesome and filling and great as a Winter warmer. Their smoothies are also amazingly delicious as are the raw cakes. Certainly a great option if you aren't looking for heavy brekky or lunch fair.
L.
Delicious food - I usually have toasted or Bircher muesli. Beautiful presentation although I personally think microgreens should stay on savoury plates...edible flowers would work better perhaps. The other point on presentation is the design practicality of the yoghurt smear around 3/4 of the bowl. Without fail I lay my spoon in the bowl on it and ave to constantly wipe yoghurt off my hands when I forget. Lean across the table and yoghurt goes on your sleeves if you brush the side of the bowl. Pretty... but mildly annoying! Coffee is nice and strong, recommended.
H. M.
Took the burger, the best part about it was the bread. The side "roasted" potatos were super greesy and smell like burnt oil. Very disappointed
L. S.
So, so good. Amazing paleo options as well as high quality coffee. Portion size very generous and a great price! I highly recommend a visit to this trendy part of the city and enjoy a nutritious meal. Yum!!
S. Y.
Nice Cafe with sunshine. Friendly staff.
Matcha smoothie was quite bland unfortunately, mostly just ice.
The green nourish bowl was really good, generous amount with a variety of vegetables.
t.
Great vegan options. Great service. Great coffee. Best waffles I've ever tasted.
A. L.
Food and service were great. Nice atmosphere. Coffee was a little flat when I visited, and I was surprised at how much nutmeg and/or cinnamon was in the banana smoothie. It was a bit overpowering. Definitely worth a visit for brunch.
P. Z.
Trendy as it may be, service was second rate and my acai dish was near frozen. Coffee awful. As vegetarians and supportive of the 80/20 approach it was truly disappointing - but nothing that can't easily be fixed.
R. H.
Outstanding food, super friendly staff! Thank you!
J. W.
Busy, nice but there are many in the area
C. T.
Excellent cafe with friendly staff and great coffee, food and selection of smoothies. Nice decor. Buzzing 80/20 became our regular spot on a week long business trip from Brisbane 😁
B. &. P. F.
Friendly staff with efficient service. Great meal and great coffee. Well recommended.
G. B.
Great food and coffee was great
A. H.
A healthy menu filled with kinda over the top salads, brimming with flavours that sometimes feels like too much happening at the same time. Staff were friendly, food and drinks were delicious, and a wonderful place to have a chat with friends.
A. O.
Food and coffee were quite decent but the wait for service at the counter, long wait for food and the busy nature/atmosphere make for a pretty impersonal experience.
C. W.
Went for breakfast on a Sunday. Had a soy chai latte and tomato and avo on toast. The chai blend was lightly spiced which was nice, and the toast was very full on with zucchini strips, feta and nuts. Delicious.
j. m.
Great good n service.. we tried french toast and it was really delicious. And coffee was nice too
北.
Asai bowls take twenty mins to get served but deserve waiting. Once you grab the seat and decide your meal, rush to the counter inside. They don’t come around to hear your order
E. B.
The service was great, my Breakfast bun too, but the Beef burger with chips was way too salty, hence the 3 stars.
R. S.
Fantastic coffee and the food was absolutely delicious
C. J.
Dishes are tasty. However, menus are not suitable for everyone. It seems this is a place who is considering well-being type food not for mouthwatering big English breakfast or brunch.
B. L.
Always great food, coffee & friendly service. We always enjoy going back.
n.
Good food but hello expensive.
J. D.
Great customer service, lovely staff, <3 the outdoor seating. I misordered and the staff were so generous. #1 cafe in braddon
A. M.
Amazing food, the coffee never needs sugar and the staff are so friendly. It's a lovely place to go to and is a regular of mine.
J. s.
Quite a variety of food choices. We had a chicken korma which came with a few sides so you can mix as you eat. Had the pulled pork burger and you couldn't get a word out of me while I ate it.
The golden latte is a highlight.
D. Z.
Great eatery if you're on a paleo or ketogenic diet. Used to love coming here months and months ago before work to grab one of their healthy shakes and salads. Great way to start the day.
G. T.
Great food and good coffee, the smoothies are fantastic! But, have experienced rude/unfriendly staff on more than one occassion.
D. L.
Really delicious food in the middle of Braddon! Healthy and delicious! The barramundi was very crispy and mouth-watering.
E. C. W. A.
It is open early for the tradies ( 6 am ) before all the bored ladies come shopping in this trendy coffee area. Nice sunny location and good service
D. S.
Great breakfast, healthy innovative food. Really wholesome. Packed for brunch so make a reservation. AND they use Pialligo estate bacon. so good.
M. M.
The guy at the counter assured us that he had marked our table, but my friends' food was sitting on the waiting bench long enough for the food to get cold because the waiters didn't know where to take the food.
I. G.
Great breakfast bun if you are hungry and love burgers
J. C. H.
I loved it. Mum and I had hot drinks and GF banana bread, then shared a chicken burrito bowl. So healthy and filling and wholesome. Mum hated it.
B. G.
Nice range of food options. Açai bowls are ok albeit pricey, but the best in Canberra that I've seen if you're desperate for some Amazon super berry goodness.
D. B.
Wow, I was blown away be the food here! This has to be the best place to get breakfast in Braddon. The decor and service is ok, nothing special but 5 stars for the chef.
Y. S. T. (.
All items of the menu are organic and healthy. The food and bowls ordered were fresh and the portions were generous.
L. M.
Fantastic coffee. Delicious healthy breakfast - great options for breakfast catering for all diets.
S. S.
Location.. food.. service..5 star
F. E.
The food is really good and has very good options for everyone. I love the smoothies and breakfast bowls.
J. P.
Absolutely stunningly plated food! Delicious breakfast with the girls - definitely coming back 👌
G. R.
The food is great. A bit to the oily side but delicious and fresh. The coffee is borderline 3 star.
S. V.
Great turmeric latte. $5 for a large but worth it! Seems a bit noisy inside due to the hard surfaces but the service was very good.
p. g. “. L.
wow. what can i say about eighty twenty food. wow. the only thing i would say is that the mug i got my hot chocolate in looked like a take away cup, and ill tell you i got a bit of a fright when i put it down and it was actually stone OoO anywayz, super cool cafe
C. W.
Delicious breakfast. Very healthy and colourful. The place is a little loud but that seems to be the way with modern fitouts.
S. S.
Awesome coffee and food.
Good Customer Service
R. B.
My favourite place to have breakfast! Those acai bowls are delicious and I find myself ordering the same thing everytime. Love this place!
B. H.
Tasty and healthy menu, good service, nice seating options both inside and out, okay coffee, prices on the premium side.
J. H.
Great food and very friendly staff. Healthy and low carb options available
T. M.
Great coffee! Be great if they had more variety of takeaway sandwiches/rolls available at lunch
A. L.
Love the food, well cooked & beautifully presented! Staff are friendly & coffee is delish!
B. K. (.
Food was very fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and they make a killer coffee for a reasonable price.
J. M.
Interesting menu, but a bit too strange for my liking. The coffee was nice however.
C. M.
Are very enjoyable chicken burger here for lunch. Very friendly waitress, yummy food. Clean premises.
G. G.
Great little atmosphere, staff are super lovely and the menu has so many awesome paleo/whole food type options.
L. L.
Delicious and healthy cafe meals. Quick friendly staff. Trendy eating precinct.
D. M.
Amazingly healthy/yummy food, great coffee and friendly staff - what more do you need to see in a review?
B. S.
The best place in Canberra to go for acai bowls. Great service too and a lovely sunny filled space.
K. G. I. R.
Friendly staff and great ambiance. Love their selection of smoothies and wholesome pastries and snacks.
D. D.
The coffee was great but $6 for a small cup was a bit expensive .
K. T.
Been my go to coffee when it was Gabriel roasters. Changed since my latest visit and was okay
J. R.
Great coffee, good food. Sitting outside isn't brilliant with all the traffic. So sit inside!
S. K.
Good place for an early breakfast.. I had a smoothie and a muesli bowl. Both are good.
P. H.
Next to the rainbow roundabout! Nice breakfast options with good drinks. Quick and friendly service.
M. F.
Quality Food, excellent Service, with friendly staff, bit pricey, must make a booking.
A.
Very good. Always happy when I come here. This place welcomes all people.
R. P.
Great breakfast spot. I find it a bit gimmicky, but my daughter liked the food.
L. M.
Have been looking forward to going here for a while. Did not disappoint. Food is very and fresh, if a little overpriced

V. C.
Great place for anytime meal or coffee!
J. A.
Breakfast was lovely. Very nice coffee too.
C. V.
The staff gets the work done, the coffee is not impressive but the location is amazing.

Great food and smoothies.
