Ordered takeaway for delivery. Servings were generous both in portion size (1 curry could comfortably split into 2 serves) and in the amount of meat/vegetables to sauce. Quick turnaround from order placement to pickup and the meals were still warm on delivery despite being a fair way away from the restaurant. Dishes were a little milder than expected (both in heat and spices) but still very tasty. Excellent Butter Chicken if you enjoy a sweet curry. [Listed under name OH! Had a mini birthday party there today. Food was amazing, everything was so delicious especially the biryanis. However naan was burnt and tasteless. A small request to the owner- please please hire more staff. The wait times are crazily long and the two girls serving looked so rushed and tired. I completely understand why service was poor due to lack of staff but especially on weekends where the crowd level is high, hiring more staff would definitely make things better. Besides that, thank you heaps for being accommodating to our requests today. Will come back here for briyani again

Don't eat out much as had horrible allergies with weird masalas and colour they must be adding. Was forced to join for dinner here..... But not here, everything tasted as it should, no red colour on napkins when you wipe your lips while eating. Woke up in the morning with none of my allergies complaining. So it was a great evening. Will go there again.

We have only just found this place and it is fantastic! The food is exactly to our liking and a good price, service is good and they have some package deals. Rice has a bit of extra flavour due to spices, but don't eat the cardamon etc, that is still in the rice. We have only had take away, but it looks nice for eat in, and it is licenced. This is certainly worth a try if you like Indian food.

Had a great dinner here. We were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, with the right balance of authentic Indian and modern furnishings. The food was wonderful and in good proportions. We had an entree, main & desert, all which came out promptly, and left very satisfied. We'll be going back there again!

We had an amazing experience at Namaste India organising my son's 1st birthday party in July 2020. The place is big and very tastefully decorated, the food was fresh and absolutely delicious (not too oily or extra spicy) and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful at all stages. The entire experience was hassle free and we could enjoy the party without any worries at all. As a host, we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Review 1: Love the ambience and the setting. Drink choices are very interesting as well. Food is average and sometimes a bit oily. Prices are average. Staff is cooperative. Review 2: Catering to a private event was great! All veg menu and each one had a distinct and flavourful taste. Very impressed. Review 3: Group event was well catered with a lot of variety and quantity too! Main course was also quite delicious. Alcoholic beverages are a bit pricey.

One thing I should say and that is " These guys know how to cook real north Indian food ". Food was freshly cooked but oily which made me sick , But it’s not like many other Indian restaurants where they simply mix half cooked meat or vegetables with week old sauce, heat that and serve . Price was reasonable and serving size was enough for two person to share. Floor staffs were friendly and professional.

Really great food, and friendly service. I've had a few meals here, 1 on my own and a couple in groups. Every time, myself and the people I've been with have been impressed by the delicious menu and great service. The pricing is decent, the lunch specials in particular are great value. I would highly recommend this place. It seems like not many people know about it yet and I wonder if this is because the name and signs out the front saying 'Oh Canberra - Restobar' doesn't make it obvious that it's an authentic Indian Restaurant. If you find your way inside though, your in for a great experience.

I have visited many Indian restaurants in Canberra, and can say this without a doubt that the food at Oh! Canberra Restobar is the best Indian food there is in the city. I was here with a friend last weekend and it was good to see so many options available ranging from Indian Street food to Indian curries that’s coupled with attentive customer service. We organised a birthday party for my daughter. It was a very good decision that we did it here. Ambience was 5 star, food was awesome and very authentic Indian taste. Service was at its best. The owner couple are very nice people to deal with. They went extra mile to make it memorable event. Possibly the best Butter Chicken and Vege Korma in town! So we ordered right on 5pm and sadly got home, they gave us two Butter Chickens and forgot the Vege Korma, so we phoned them back and they were really accommodating, they made up the vege korma and threw in a rice for us and we picked it up in less than 10mins. I am very satisfied with this venue. Great customer service and even better food!

Eaten here multiple times now and every time delicious with good service. Getting your drinks is a bit slow but the cocktails are cheap and worth it! I order Onion Bhaji as an entree everytime, Butter Chicken is good, and every time we try something new it's always welcome. Also has take away and it's fast and good quality.

Some of the reviews astound me. It's clear some people are very picky! The food here is easily the best Indian cuisine I have eaten in a restaurant, anywhere. Tasty authentic food, dishes not all coming out of the same pot with a different sauce but prepared individually. Great vegetarian dishes if that's your preference and we found the staff obliging and welcoming. Definitely going back there! All this despite the unlikely name!

Had the best ever Christmas work party at Oh! Canberra Restobar! The food, the service, the drinks, and a huge dance floor with a DJ, it was amazing. The restaurant is spacious and modern. I had arrived early and was hungry so asked for some chicken tikka when I arrived. Service was so friendly and fast even though they were busy during dinner. The dish came out in less than 2 minutes on a sizzling plate, it was impressive. They have a fantastic selection of wines, spirits, and beer on tap. We wanted a banquet and they catered to everyone's diet requirements with delicious veg and carne options. We had lamb, chicken tikka, prawns, and papdi chaat for entrees. They were all delicious but my favourite was the chaat. Mains were lentil dal, butter chicken, vindaloo and one more I can't remember the name of served with naan and rice. I was so full I couldn't try everything! I can't wait to go back here again, it was a memorable experience.

Delicious Indian food, friendly service and fresh surroundings. Prawn entree was really nice and the spice was perfect! Hot naan straight from the oven and a lovely clean setting was perfect for date night. There’s heaps of room so it would be perfect for a party too!

Very impressed considering we didn't check reviews before giving it a go and went in blind. Ordered home delivery of entrees. The cheese naan didn't look like it had anything in it but what a surprise! Perfect amount of cheese filling that doesn't over power the naan like in every other restaurant and isn't oily either. The spinach papdi chat is tasty but lacking the spice hit we expected and the crunch too, making it bland for our tastes after the initial yoghurt and tamarind tastes fade. The samosa is definitely delicious with the tamarind chutney and has a fantastic crunch but just a tad bit too much ginger, just a tad. The spinach roll is something we never came across anywhere else and so tried it and now we regret not getting an extra serve! Please make them bigger too because they are too tiny and they taste amazing! Highly recommended!

Delicious food however the service of the food was a bit back to front with rice arriving very late. Can recommend their naan which are deliciously light and delicate with great caramelized bubbling (try the cashmiri naan!). The Goan fish curry was really top notch. Despite the rice service issue the staff were friendly and attentive (but not intrusive) and the food was very enjoyable and tasted very authentic.

The best place to dine in Canberra without a doubt! We have been twice in the last two weeks and will not eat anywhere else in Canberra now. The whole team really make you welcome. The restaurant is spacious and luxurious with an amazing high ceiling and dining space. It is beautifully decorated from the chandeliers right down to the most comfortable chairs. The indian cuisine is the best we have ever had! Rich authentic flavours full of delicious spices with all the heat you want. We enjoyed a fabulous spicy prawn entree and the most delicious goat curry this week. We loved the complimentary popadoms and pistachio icecream and felt absolutely spoilt both times we have dined at Oi! Canberra Restobar. I can't wait to go again next week! Manju and Guri have created the best haven to indulge in the finest Indian cuisine with family, friends or large groups. Sony was our waitress on both our visits and provided amazing service. Everyone smiles and is genuinely happy to make sure you have a great dining experience.Go try it for yourself!

We ordered few different curries, some rice and varieties of naans; it was absolutely flavoursome and truly delicious. The presentation, the attention to details and the great service were appreciated. Food wasn't bland at all as it is often the case saddly in some indian restaurants and the portions were just right. Meat curries were tender and generous. The naans were exceptionally good, we particularly loved the spinach & cheese ones. We will definitely come back soon and try other dishes!
