The most magical experience! We didn’t look any further than Parlour when choosing our wedding and reception venue - a beautiful vibe and setting which suited us in every way. We needed to postpone from our original date and Abby was incredible to work with and secure a new date, as well as ensuring every need was met - from sourcing our own selection of sparkling wine to connecting with with the most amazing creators to supply a delicious donut cake. New COVID restrictions and with over 100+ guests made us a little nervous; but we determined to proceed knowing that we had a mix of indoor and outdoor space and weather permitting, would be able to host the majority of formalities outside, without masks. Arriving at Parlour to be married in a beautiful garden, surrounded by our friends and families, was everything and more. Hosting the ceremony and reception in the one space meant our guests didn’t need to travel and could relax easily and early. The food was delicious, drinks were plenty. The team went above and beyond to ensure we and our guests had an amazing time - we didn’t at any stage feel like our wedding was compromised due to COVID restrictions (you wouldn’t have even known). We danced until 1.30am! Our guests mingled and felt comfortable knowing there was plenty of space and the service was considerate of their needs (our guests with dietary needs were so appreciative of the individual and quality service they received). We would do it all again in a heartbeat. We are so thankful to the team - Abby, Ben (who managed the night) and the staff - for creating such a wonderful experience and allowing us to have our best time of our lives. Thank you again.

After two years of COVID postponements and cancellations of our destination wedding, we decided to stay local and booked Parlour to celebrate instead. We are so glad we made this decision. Abby and her team were fantastic! The food was spot on, and nothing was too much trouble. All guests with food allergies were catered for and all kids had special meals. Staff on the evening were very attentive, helpful and super friendly.

Ridgeline Solutions Australia has hosted its annual Christmas Party at Parlour Wine Bar for the past three years. We first selected Parlour because the venue is central and quaintly furnished with a relaxed outdoor area fronting lush gardens. The reason we come back each year is the great food and drink, and the friendly, flexible and efficient staff. This versatility was particularly evident in December 2021 when unseasonal weather impacted our outside area booking. The Parlour staff rearranged furniture at short notice to make space inside to accommodate our function; they maintained a full dedicated bar and the tapas was excellent as usual. We will return for our 2022 Christmas Party.

Loved it! Came here for early dinner for 1 on Tuesday. This restaurant has great music, a comfortable feel, great service and a warm vibe. Had the snapper in a creamy butter sauce with vegetables and a side of tempura eggplant with honey. Yummo! Just the perfect amount of food for 1. The dishes complimented each other perfectly. Washed it all down with a G&T and my total bill was $48. Great value for the quality of food, location, the service. Will defo come back and highly recommend it.

Had booked in advance and ended up running 20+ mins late. Tried to call to reschedule but couldn't get through - so was worried we'd lost our table. However, the staff were so welcoming and understanding when we walked in and were able to accomodate us. We were so thankful, and had a lovely dinner! The staff were also very attentive, always stopping by to check on us and make sure we were happy. The food was also delicious and the drinks were spot on. Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely be coming back myself!

Good food, super friendly staff, great location. Perfect for a rendezvous. However, not great for a serious party. The management makes you get only what you have per-ordered. Additional food orders are limited. Music is limited to a preset restaurant list available on the Spotify. Shortage of teapots, cocktail straws, forks, tissues, etc. needs to be addressed to make the place truly successful.

Parlour's aesthetic is great, upscale yet casual, just like the atmosphere. The food itself is delicious, a smaller menu, yet every dish is excellent. Food arrives slowly, but that's not a problem given the slow eating style of the place. Staff are attentive and friendly, committing orders to memory that I'd struggle to even write down. Overall, a real nice place to visit. (PS: The ricotta gnocchi has a POWERFUL mushroom broth)

Beautiful in every way 💖 Staff were very attentive and decor was gorgeous. The food was glorious! Being a lover of tapas style eating, this was wonderful and each dish we had was sublime... 4 plates and then a dessert that was wonderfully savoury and sweet (and a surprise birthday cake slice 🎉) We tried a good amount of the cocktails and each and everyone were far too moreish 😄 Highly recommend Parlour for an elegant while being relaxed place to dine and sip.

Dropped in for a late lunch and started with a special of two oysters and a large gin and tonic. Very refreshing. Moved on to patatas bravas which was coated in way too much spice. Now I like spice and heat, but I had to complain as each piece was like licking a plate covered in spice rub. We also tried the Moreton Bay bugs, which were tasty but small. Complements to the wait staff for their excellent service.

The Parlour is an absolutely amazing wine bar in Canberra. Everything about the venue is classy from the exterior right down to the tables and chairs. The venue offers some really good bar food, but also has a restaurant if you want something more substantial. The wine and spirit selection is extensive and will have something to cater to anyone's taste.

The Parlour has a great location in New Action its is the hart of Kendall lane, the food is splendid, I order off the lunch menu a duck and heirloom carrot salad, that was surprisingly very pleasant, the duck was just slightly overcooked in my opinion however the carrots and puree were delicious, the overall balance of flavors was well designed and executed.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. We we’re booked in promptly before being shown to our table and given some water. It was quite a long time before we were able to order our food. However once this was done, the food arrived quite quickly. Prices are pretty good for a nice meal in Canberra in a nice cafe. It was worth the wait!

Had the most amazing wedding ceremony and reception here in early October. The team (specifically Bria and Abby) did an incredible job of working with us to make the best we could of the Covid limitations, and we ended up with absolutely the best day. The menu offered everyone very good options, and everyone commented on how much they'd enjoyed their meal. I selected the tartare, done differently and deliciously, followed by a perfect fillet steak. It’s a stunning venue with divine décor, wonderful staff and delicious food, opening out onto lovely gardens. Our guests could mingle and lounge in the beautiful armchairs or dance to the band while being served delicious tapas. Their lovely functions manager looked after us beautifully and we loved the complimentary tasting beforehand so we could choose our tapas and wines. Found my new fave restaurant. There is nothing to fault here. The furniture is quirky and classy, the vibe is cosy and cultured. We had food off the Lunch special menu. The Duck breast was cooked to perfection and so flavourful! We also had the seafood spaghetti which was filled with seafood. It was one of the best pasta dishes we've had in Canberra. Wine was $2 with lunch, what else could you want??? The service was impeccable and the wait staff, friendly. The prices of meals are also reasonable on their own, and they do serve coffee as well... I think I'll start living here now.

Fantastic service, particularly Max. The food was spectacular and I highly recommend the calamari rings - tender and supple with well balanced seasoning. The restaurant upstairs has a romantic and upper class atmosphere for a middle range price which is followed up beautifully by the basement bar that is both cosy and romantic without feeling over crowded. A perfect spot to finish the night.

I cannot say enough good things about Parlour! We had our wedding reception there last week and the staff was phenomenal. The event manager was prompt to reply to all of our emails and the chef was able to cater for all dietary requirements (and we had some weird ones!). Everyone had a blast and I cannot imagine another venue being able to create the tone we were going for.

If you are looking for a wedding location that oozes old world charm with a twist of modern flair, I could not recommend The Parlour enough. What an exceptionally beautiful venue, perfect to entertain family and friends alike in. With the option to have a traditional sit down wedding or cocktail style event, the Parlour truly caters to all tastes. With quirky chesterfield lounges, high top tables and aesthetic decor, the venue creates such an intimate and cozy atmosphere. It is most definitely unique and a stand out from other typical Canberran wedding hot spots. The manager Abby was a dream to work with. No question was too annoying or dietary requirement too difficult to accommodate. The reception we held here oozed class that not only made us all feel right at home, but left guests talking in all the right ways. We were kept well fed and looked after in every possible way throughout the day. I am truly grateful that there was availability on the day that I requested and I was able to celebrate in the venue of my dreams.

Very Canberra eatery and wine bar with a good outdoor patio for two large groups. You will need to reserve as the lounges are popular. Also a couple of nice covered and warmed nooks for twosomes. Inside is intimate and free of loud music. Good light meals and relaxed service.

Becoming an institution if it hasn't already. Unique and quirky vibe, excellent tapas and mains and a fantastic drinks menu that includes seasonal drinks like mulled wine. Priced really well and some of the tapas are quite substantial (I'm thinking of the potato wedges and the calamari in particular). Soft furnishing means it is rarely loud and is easy to have a conversation. If you are thinking about trying it for the first time, or a date or a catch up with friends the answer should always be 'yes'!

Great place amazing staff, Anna/Ania(?) for her amazing service and memory I don't know how she remembered all the drink orders in one hit for so many people when I can't remember what happened yesterday and Abby for help with the booking. The lunch special wine is also fabulous, and the coffee is brewed nicely. However, I would avoid ordering the Huevos Rancheros as you are literally served a bowl of potato crisps (like a home-made version of packet chips).

We had a fabulous dinner here on a Sunday night. Lovely, well presented food; fast and attentive service; cosy atmosphere with a fireplace. The waitress was very helpful suggesting how to use the tapas menu for our primary aged children as a kids type menu. They also arranged for a birthday dessert for one of our party despite not (as a table) ordering dessert. Being in NewActon, there is parking nearby, and pleasant views of gardens and the lake. The menu had a nice mix of food (about 5 options per service) which reflected the season, and there was an extensive wine and cocktail list. This would suit couples looking for a nice meal, small groups, families with older children (say 7+) or groups of people.

Parlour is a fantastic location to pop in for a Friday night drink or mid week dining. It is located in the fancy part of new Acton so prices match the location. Staff were friendly and recommended eating options. All the nibbles are delicious however as mentioned pricey.

We held our wedding, both ceremony and reception at Parlour on 2nd March 2018. We decided on a Friday lunch time wedding as opposed to the traditional Saturday afternoon wedding. We cannot speak highly enough of Abby and everyone that worked on the day of wedding. The set up was just what we wanted, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. Came here for a dinner and had two courses (Barramundi for main and Ricotta Doughnuts for dessert). The Barramundi was delicious - moist and cooked to absolute perfection with not a single bone - and it melted in the mouth. The orange puree and pickled veggies complimented the fish with some acidity and saltiness perfectly. The Ricotta Doughnuts were pretty good, got 3 of them and good size. Very rich, coated in chocolate and served with toasted pecans, cream and fudge sauce, the doughnuts were fluffy and delicious. You get what you pay for: two courses and 1 drink was enough to fill me and the flavours were fantastic.
