My favourite place in the area for coffee! Ill come here every chance I can get. I've eaten here quite alot over the years and everything has always been delicious, although, sometimes there's a bit of a wait. They have always been exceptionally kind and helpful with friends I've been with who either had food allergies or preferred eating habits. They catered to them all with a smile. One mouthful of their delicious raspberry jam once actually bought me to tears as it bought back many happy childhood memories with my Poppy who used to make raspberry jam.

Great big breakfast. Coffee was also quite good. Staff and manager where quite nice and understanding despite arriving just as they opened. A great place to start the day or continue the day. Rocksalt Restaurant is one of my Canberra favs. The food here is always awesome and definitely try the vegetarian breakfast. It's super scrumptious and filling. I also recommend the Eggs Benedict, with bacon. It’s deeeelicious! Prices are reasonable and the service here is impeccable!

A lovely quiet place to enjoy a very nice meal. No loud music, no people sitting on top of you, which seems to be the trend in most Canberra restaurants. Very helpful owner. You can take your time and enjoy the food and atmosphere without being rushed. Food is really nice and lots of it. Best chips and coffee too.

Nice local cafe with friendly familiar faces, however the service can be a little average at times, and delivery very slow. Several times I have been here I have had to ask about my order several times. Once, it was simply forgotten by the staff to bring over, so a grumpy owner fetched it and bought it over without saying anything - basically dropping it on my table and moving on (which actually left me feeling quite unwelcome). Provides the basics and is run competently, and has great potential, however I cannot shake the feeling that the love just is not in it.

Was looking forward to the opportunity to eat out again after shutdown. My mother wanted to go to Rocksalt Restaurant for lunch. We found the service was timely, welcoming and friendly. The menu was limited but varied. We decided on the calamari salad which when on presentation looked devine. Unfortunately the calamari was too tough and chewy and we unable to eat it. We provided feedback to the waiting staff, who apologised but did not offer any type of compensation, which was disappointing.

i didnt want chocolate powder on my drink but they put it on there and when i asked them to fix it they grabbed the chocolate powder with their hands and threw it. unmatched customer service

We had a wonderful breakfast. The Roast Pumpkin and Persian Feta Strudel that I ordered was fantastic! Staff were welcoming and friendly. The dining area was warm and cosy. The restroom was clean. Great service.

the big guy who i assume is the owner should check his attitude very rude service. when you hand someone change dont pass it back to them like you're running a relay. and if you're going to do it like that atleast hit the mark. dont just hold your hand out expecting me to lean over the bar to meet your pathetic extension of an arm. its called 'hospitality' because you're meant to be bloody hospitable. on a side note....the food is good....but thats down to the chef! (those 4 stars are for him) owner - check your attitude ya git!
