Stopped by for a seafood and beef soup and it was up to my expectations. Would recommend it as a starter or dessert durinf the cold Canberra winter. The main dishes here are also realy good such as the prawns, pork intestine, fried rice and pippies in XO sauce. Definitely would recommend. Yours truly @fooderarri

An icon and staple of Chinese cuisine in Canberra, we’ve been to Ruby’s for many decades. The inside decor hasn’t changed much over the years and is slightly more upscale than most Chinese restaurants here. The food was of decent quality and service pretty quick though the professionalism of some staff could be improved. I would recommended the seafood dishes as you can’t get this at many other restaurants. Overall a nice place to take family and friends for a more traditional/authentic Chinese meal.

Absolutely first class. We had a party of 5 including 3 kids 8/10/13 and had the honey chicken, Mongolian beef, curry chicken, ginger and shallot king prawns, roast duck and asian greens. Every single dish was the best I've eaten of its class. The service was unobtrusive yet welcoming and attentive. I cannot rate highly enough. Slightly unflattering photo as we had basically eaten everything before I could stop long enough to get my phone out. Well done guys we will be back.

A truly outstanding experience. We ordered about a.dozen dishes including chili lobster, clams in XO sauce, and steamed barramundi with ginger and shallots. Each dish was delicious so I forgot to take photos of all of them! The staff were also super accommodating and helpful, so we left a nice tip at the end. Very highly recommended!

Top notch Mud Crab! I am absolutely stoked with the food! Ontop of that, the staff were next level compared with other local Asian resturants. They were very responsive and spoke excellent English, further more they were very honest with how much to order. Can't wait to go back and try the crab in the Golden Hot Pot.

Owner operated Chinese restaurant, so always get quality and best service and food. Great venue for any events you're hosting. Had our work xmas party here, staff friendly food great. A friend had their wedding reception here, in the back area of the restaurant. Very spacious, they had a dance floor and dj booth set up. Staff attentive and food was out in good timing even though large group.

Exceptional Chinese cuisine. Ordered the seafood and mango egg rolls as suggested by the friendly waiter, wow yum these were tasty and delicious. The grandma bean curd, steamed perch and special fried rice were what you would expect from a long established high quality restaurant. Friendly service and reasonably priced. Serving size was generous. Would happily recommend and re visit when we are in Canberra next.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant to dine at. It is great old fashion service, traditional Chinese foods with an array of live seafood options at a reasonable price. Great function options. The carpet on the floor controls the noise quality which means that you can talk to your guests without yelling. Never been disappointed.

Beautiful food. We got the banquet A. There was so much choice and food. Our group couldn't finish it all! It was very nice that they served out all the entres individually for us. So there was no fighting over spring rolls or the like. Hard to get a park (not their fault) but the service was brilliant and worth the price!

Tasty old school Chinese food popular with locals. Highly recommend the spicy fish soup... intoxicating with szechuan pepper and just the right amount of spice. Tongue tingling without the chili burn. Delicious! Also highly recommend Singapore noodles, salt and pepper tofu and squid and deep fried green beans with pork. All delicious!

Great food and friendly service at reasonable prices. Needed to prompt the waitstaff to bring one of the six dishes we ordered and after that we got it (hot and fresh). We were two families visiting from interstate; would go again.

Went on a whim with my mum, we had firecracker beef and tea smoked crispy chicken. They were both delicious, and the green tea was very good. The food is expensive, especially given the area the restaurant is in, but I felt like I got my moneys worth. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing.

Food is good but one of the waitresses was very rude. Basically she told us they wanted to close. the sign at the door showed the business is open. Besides other customer arrived 30 minutes after us and she didn’t stop them. Not happy and will not return there in the future.
