What a great find! I highly recommend this cafe for the food, the service and the outdoor setting. Check out the photo of the Loaded Banana Bread and the Smashed Avo. So delicious! The guys are super lovely and friendly. Will visit again!

I ordered the nachos, peanut butter cup, cherry bomb shake, melting moment and cheeseburger. I highly recommend the nachos, peanut butter cups and melting moment. The nachos tasted exactly like the real deal with mince meat! However, I dont recommend the cheeseburger- the burger patty included just two slices of tofu with some kind of cheese that was hard to really taste and some toasted coconut which didn't complement any of the flavours. The bread was soggy from all the tomato sauce which resulted in a really bland, extremely sweet and unpleasant burger.

Recommend this cafe. They have a good menu and some lovely sweets. The smoothies are also nice, but a bit on the small side. Not giving them 5 stars because the prices just keep jumping up in a way that doesn't reflect costs. Also think surcharges for plant milk in a vegan cafe is a bit ridiculous. Located near the rainbow roundabout, this cafe bursts a wide vegan menu including an all day breakfast. Stand out items are the Mexican dishes and the smoothies. A wide selection of cakes, muffins and cookies are also available at the display by the service counter. Friendly service also. No table service.

This is the best vegan food place in Australia. Beats a lot of the vegan restaurants in Melbourne even that it prompts us to leave a review for them as more people should be aware of this place. If you’re in Canberra, make sure to come here. The pies are crazy amazing and in our opinion much better than another well known vegan pie place. The coffee (we had soy latte & long black) is the best! Other great options are the mac & cheeze wrap or mushroom deluxe burger.

Great place to have a coffee and food. Chances are you’ve already seen this place on literally every ‘where to eat Canberra’ weekend blogs and sites, but it’s well deserved. It’s all vegan, and delicious. I have dairy and they easily accomodate the coffee etc - just ask for cows milk. Can’t go past the big breakfast or the burger. The treats in the front cabinet are always amazing as well and definitely eat one of the sausage rolls

Sweet Bones has a vibe which sets it apart from most of the Braddon food scene. Rightly so, the entire menu is plant based, with some very surprising and delicious options. I haven’t had the chance to sample their cakes, but other tell me they are delicious. Breakfasts here are great, with plenty of savoury and sweet options to get you sorted.

We came here kind of earlier in the day like breakfast so we ordered the basic breakfast things, with one of them being pancakes. Although it did take a bit, that is normal and it was worth just a few minutes. The pancakes, burger and acacia bowl were unique, especially the pancakes with a higher amount of fruits and detail for the flavour so it just made it tastier. It was kind of the same for the other dishes, and the coffee was exceptional. As a side note, as usual, the staff were very nice like every staff member should be of any place and the food equally as great (probably even better).

Disappointed that I'm disappointed. Catering good, service not so much. The tea was weak. No floor-staff asked me if Food&Bev was satisfactory (solo diner). No one checked if I needed cutlery, s&p, serviette etc. This frustration was exacerbated by difficultly getting staff attention due to being literally overlooked (front and centre) and noisy environment. Gave up and drank disappointing tea and got up and made necessary enquiries after staff checked their phone. Food was nice- a Fluffy warm bun and good simple combo. Reasonably priced but I opted out on sweets due to disproportionate pricing for size. Such easy fixes would improve service greatly and make pricing more worthwhile.

This cafe has a very casual vibe, and laid back staff. The servings are quite big, making them good value if you are hungry, but a bit wasteful if you are not. The menu is varied and tasty, even for a non-vegan like me. The decor is rustic and the interior a bit cramped, so I recommend grabbing one of the outdoor tables under the trees if you can.

Tasty!! We tried the Nacho Mountain and the Spiced Chai. Highly recommend. If you're nervous about trying vegan food, this place will not disappoint! It was a great opportunity to try something really tasty that I've not had before (vegan bacon!!). We also had the Sticky Chai Tea which was a proper Chai experience... Yum. Definitely give this place a go. We did see that with COVID restrictions there's only 9 seats inside, so people were having to wait or sit outside, we were lucky to get a spot. This is a funky little vegan cafe. I love that I can go in and eat anything off the menu and know it will be vegan. Love this place. They do great cakes, cupcakes and even breakfast. Husband is vegan, I'm not but we always order their cakes for birthdays and other celebration. We even had our wedding cake and cupcakes from Sweet Bones! Make sure to come early enough for brunch on the weekends as they get full pretty early. There are few paid and/or timed parking around the cafe (not complaining much, only to factor in that this is CBD area).

The place is usually very busy and is unfortunately very cramped, the silver lining being some outside seating. Service is fairly standard. Lots of sweet nibbles on the side as well.

There is a very good range of food here and lots of milk to choose from. I think they have the biggest range of vegan cafe food in Canberra which is why I come here a lot and the staff are always nice. Tricky to park the car becaus if a busy area but not there fault so I just park away and walk to the cafe which is ok.

It's great having popular vegan restaurants/cafes and love what they're doing making it accessible for all and creating a space non vegans would want to come to. It's quite loud due to foot traffic so not a great place for a sit down meal or catch up with friends but is obviously favoured by locals for their take away coffees and muffins. The cakes available for sale on their instagram look amazing! Kudos to the bakers! I ordered a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was average and very foamy. I am unsure whether the foamy-ness was intentional. I could not be swayed by the sweet treats however some of them did look nice.
