This has become one of my go to places in Canberra; amazing food, service wine and atmosphere! Classic chargrill food cooked to perfection. Must try the octopus and the chicken. Sides are excellent as are the steaks! Love the wine selection and the unique donuts are a foodie delight! Love this place!

Went to Terra on a Saturday after basketball. A great place for a late lunch (kitchen was still open around 2:30pm). I’ve been here a few times for lunch and they never disappoint. High quality food every single time. They have a great selection of warm and cold salads to choose from. The miso chat potatoes that we ordered was a warm salad, and it was delicious. A great marriage of flavours with the miso, mayo and feta combo. Would order this salad again. The chicken was so tender and juicy (even the chicken breast), regret having to share with others… Will have to try their dinner menu soon!

(4.5 stars) When brisket calls to you in Canberra, get thee straight to Terra Bird’n’BBQ. While the menu reads like a hipster barbecue joint, the CBD digs are very upmarket, in a power suits and upmarket red wine kind of way. Sitting at the base of a tower block, Terra has that heavy concrete feel that Canberra is famous for, with cracked aggregate floors, subdued lighting and wall lights mounted on industrial steel girders. Pulling up on padded little stools, we place our order at the counter and get stuck into some slightly pricy Garage Project beers. White Mischief ($12.50) is an easy-to-like sour beer made on lightly salted soured wheat and white peaches. I like it so much I bought a six pack at Blackhearts & Sparrows later in the day. The Big Boy Box ($55) is the perfect way to sample across the compact menu, centred upon meats cooked over charcoal on the rotisserie. It presents sliced smoked Angus brisket, a moist quarter of bird, and a mound of fruity-sweet pulled pork shoulder on a tray with four different sauces. While the Terra hot sauce balances the slightly too sweet pork, I’m most enamoured with the miso gravy on the accompanying chips. Super fruity BBQ and garlic sauce rounded out our included saucing selections. In terms of vegetables, you get to select two from the list of four sides. Fried cauliflower is delicious, with the bite of harissa moderated by sweet vincotto, pepitas and flash-fried leaves. Iceberg lettuce is jazzed up with sesame praline, preserved lemon and dill, with a bowl of tangy house-made pickles rounding out a bargain lunch in a ritzier-than-expected setting.

Had dinner at Terra a few weeks back for our 6 month anniversary. It is up there with one my favourite dining experiences of all time. We ordered the set menu which was a good mix of classic and inventive dishes. Standouts were the pate, whitebait & pork, lamb ribs and salmon in a jar. The desserts were also amazing. We ordered take away because it was booked out on a Friday night. We ordered take away instead. The food was mainly disappointing. 300gms pork shoulder was dry and the crackling was hard and not edible. The burger was very small, meat was good inside. Chips were good. The packaging and foil used were good.

Exquisite Cafe tucked in the corner at the bottom of Mayfair. Beautiful food for that little sweet tooth with surprisingly good coffee and service for the Canberra experience. Will definitely be making regular stops on the way to work. Outstanding 🤩

The beef brisket and miso sauce is a must eat! The brisket is succulent, melt in your mouth, balanced with crispier smokey bits. Sides are also excellent. Would recommend getting at least one side that goes well with miso gravy, like pumpkin or sweet potato. The canteen lunch seems to be weekday lunches only, so take a long work lunch for this!

Terra is fantastic. It is a new favourite for lunch, both dine in and takeaway. Portion sizes are generous and offer great value. The meats are all juicy, tender and packed with flavour. Their signature spice blends combine perfectly with the open fire grill. Below is the Steak Cheese baguette (takeaway) As you can see there is no skimping on the fillings! ***edit: still going strong and is a regular spot I grab lunch. I don't want everyone to find out about this place because I won't be able to get a seat. They cook their meat on large rotisseries for hours every day over charcoal and wood. The beef and chicken are my favorite because they are so soft and tasty. I do also like the crackle. They make sauces from scratch. They have a huge range of sides. It's quick for lunch. Love the staff. They are all great people and actually love what they do. They are all super friendly and make a big effort. They have started doing night time meals. I haven't tried it yet. I drink tea and they don't just throw a tea bag in. One of the few places that infuses it properly and use good quality tea. The photo is a day I asked for double meat.

Thick. Moist. Meaty. That’s how I can best describe my lunch. Amazing value. Didn’t know what to expect but you could have strapped a jet engine to me and sent me into outer space. That is the kind of rush I felt when I tasted the food here. Everything was good. I’d have it again tomorrow if I could. Simply sensational stuff. The crackling on the pork was so crispy that I heard the table next to me say “What? How.” as the crunch shattered their eardrums. Get in and get around it, you won’t regret it.

Fun little Cafe which serves great coffee and good value breakfast. The Terra big breakfast is really tasty and the pancakes are fresh and filling. The Chai latte was spicy and just what we needed on this cold Anzac day morning to warm us up. For some reason, the half hour we were there, the same Bee Gees song played on loop which was hilarious.

Cozy little cafe/restaurant with a good selection of salads and proteins. Meals are arranged in a protein and 1 or 2 sides for around 20 dollars or you can have it on bread. I ended up having a beef brisket with cauliflower salad and grilled potato sides. Everything was very good, the brisket melted in the mouth and the cauliflower and potato sides were a perfect accompaniment. Highly recommended!

Went here for dinner with my husband for our one year anniversary. The service was wonderful. We did the 'Feed Me' option but I was really keen to try the raw beef dish and they were kind enough to sub it into the set menu for us. The entrees & desserts were delicious but the mains (lamb & porchetta) left something to be desired - maybe a bit under-seasoned? I would definitely return but instead I'd try one of the steaks for my main :)

Prices are about where you might expect- chips are about $8, and a half chicken about $19, with desserts in the range $11 to $15. Service a very good - staff are not intrusive, but always there promptly when you need them. Recommended, you’ll enjoy it.

Food is consistently very good! Service is friendly, fast and efficient - though sometimes a little too fast? It can sometimes feel like you're being rushed to finish. Having said that during the work week lunch hour, I really do appreciate the fast service so I can get back to work.

This place is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I went to Terra for date night and it was one of the best dinners we have ever had. We had the "feed me" and every dish was amazing. We especially enjoyed the cauliflower dish and the dessert was the perfect end to the meal.
