Central, accessible, lots of space but come early for dinner. This place is popular and good. The food is tasty but the flavors are a little different. The chef is efficient with his cooking systems and the dishes come out hot and on time. The service is also efficient. Free water. I didn't test the Wi-Fi. But, the manager is a little strict with staff which is understandable given the number of clients. I didn't lime the unannounced surcharge for good Friday. If they want to open for Easter, it is not the customer's responsibility. Also note the price difference between lunch and dinner. 1$ cheaper at lunch, if you are on a budget.

Yum Vietnamese food. Lovely people. Great for lunch or dinner. Recommend the pork chop and fried egg dish or the special pho. Wonton (fried or steam) were good also.

The most authentic Vietnamese Pho that we have had since returning to Australia.
Love the depth of flavours.
The chicken and seafood noodle soup was also amazing.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Meals came out in a timely manner.
The only negative is the extra $1 per dish for dinner.

Food is a little pricey for the amount given. I ordered the garlic fried chicken. The presentation looks really good but the chicken was too salty for me. I might come here again to try another dish but I wasn't impressed with my first time.

Their special pho and the dry egg noodles with crispy chicken is absolutely awesome. Won't be dissapointed with any choices.

Great food, heaps of flavour and generous serving. Friendly staff. I recommend at least trying it once. I will go back. 8/10

They were nice to the kids and gave us plastic plates and cups for them. The kids were noisy and the staff completely ignored them. This was appreciated. The crispy chicken was improved with salt. The price was typical of a city establishment. The toilet was clean but the floor was sticky. :o we accidentally left without paying but thankfully we left so slowly they caught us within ten metres.

Absolutely the best place to enjoy Asian cuisine in Darwin. Highly recommend Vietnam Saigon Star for its Pho noodle and vermicelli bowls! We were able to finish our bowls to the last soup :)) Definitely will come back next time.

Been in Darwin for 20 years and this is the first time I've been here. The service was friendly and helpful caring to the needs of our bub. Service was efficient and the food was soooo good. Can recommend highly. Ps. Crispy squid with Hot sauce, cannot go wrong! Will be back

We had pho, fried rice, Mongolian pork and satay chicken.
It's fresh and tasty but not amazing.
Overall, a good place to try.

I enjoyed the meals that were served here, so much so I came back the second time. Being Vietnamese myself, the dishes I had I thought were delicious and authentic. I'm also from Melbourne and knew beforehand not to compare Melbourne Pho prices to those in Darwin. I normally don't order fried rice at a restaurant but stole a bite from my brother's dish and it was delish.

The Spring rolls were really good, the soup pho amazing, I've never eaten a soup like that since my travel in Vietnam in 2015.
And people who receive me were really friendly. I recommend this place for the fans of Vietnamese food.

Decent food for a good price. Some dishes aren't the best but their better than others. I'm not the biggest fan but my family really liked it here, so I say give it a go and order foods you're familiar with and judge whether you like the place based on that.

Good restuarant for lunch if you want to people watch as is like an airconditioned fish bowl on Smith Street. Menu is extensive & prices are fair. Food is very tasty. Would recommend the (Amazing) Vietnamese Prawn & Pork.

Had beef stir fry thick noodles for late lunch.
Was absolutely disgusting
The beef was off, veggies frozen, no taste, soaking in dark soya sauce gravy, 4 pieces raw garlic, other veggies had slimy sour taste.
As an Asian, this is the worse I had ever eaten.
Feel sorry for the Rydges patrons who come downstairs to eat.
Absolutely a no go.

Great service! Opened for us on a day they were closed! Very impressed.
Have been coming here a few years now but never tire of it.
Amazing food. All spring rolls are hand made by the owner & are worth coming in for. As is the seafood soup!
Also very reasonably priced. Highly recommend!

Very tasty and warming pho. I've been on the hunt for a good pho since moving from good meeca of Australia, Melbourne. This is the place in darwin for viet food. Little on the pricey side but good.

Food was bland. Fried rice chicken had more sprouts than rice and barely any chicken. Friendly staff but long wait for food. Darwin has a lot of Asian cuisine restaurants to choose from and I'd hazard a guess that most would serve tastier food.

Food is ok. Counter and dining area is seperated, it provided more privacy I guessed, but it's a bit inconvenient if customer need something.

Am down in Victoria & doing a travel/tourism qualification. Looking incredibly much to getting back to my home town and fond memories of Joan Pratt looking out at me as I walked down Knucky Street long time ago. Can't wait to eat at Vietnam Saigon Star immediately I return.

If you're a fan of pho this is the ONLY place you need to visit, get the number 16 and take a trip down flavour lane.

Great food and friendly service. Downside: it's expensive and I can eat the equivalent down south without the costly bill.

Really enjoyed the food here. Prices kinda high but that's a reflection of tourism towns in general.

This place is pretty simple but I have the vermicelli salad as a yard stick for Viet restaurants and this one was superb. Good price, quick, simple, but well made.

Not the greatest, but pretty OK nonetheless.
I'd recommend giving it a shot.
