Experience my first time having Mortan Bay bugs and it was amazing and soft and delicious with the garlic butter herb sauce. Customer service is excellent, friendly and helpful. Main dish of spaghetti bolognaise was the absolute BOMB... great food, great company and outside tables was a nice idea.

Food rated out of maximum 5 "yum yums"...
Fish wings- 5
Salt and pepper crocodile - 4.5
Mango cocktail - 4.5
Focaccia with 2 dips - 4
Snapper crudo - 3.5
Cauliflower popcorn - 3
Carpentaria Bay lobster -3 (but I'm not a huge fan of crustaceans)
The 5 stars is to get the average to 4.4

Arrived at 6pm to find the place empty but somehow they ran out of laksa.
The service was fast for the drinks - ordered the frozen mango daiquiri cocktail, it was a bit sour.
Potato Chips aren’t listed on the menu. Only nori chips (seaweed) - probably should update the menu for clarification. FYI you can order the nori chips or potato chips.
Our Waitress, Julia, was polite and well-mannered. Kudos to you. She was very attentive and checked on us to see if our meals were okay.
Place was clean - all tables were set.
I ordered the Gnocchi, it was beautifully presented, not thrown together. It was also very well seasoned. I would definitely recommend come here. Thank you to the chefs, our table of 7 people had beautiful meals, not one complaint from us.

Food was incredible and the staff were amazing. Will definitely be back

I had lunch here today and it was amazing the food and service was great and I would happily come here again next time I was in Darwin. I had the salt and pepper crocodile boa buns and the fish wings and they where both devine.
Highly recommend coming here!

Nice selection of cocktails, beers and spirits. Food is okay my favorite was the side dish corncob. My main course was Buffalo steak. It’s nice presented on the plate but the steak was way to salty. I did not return the food as I don’t want to waste the food. So I finished the whole steak luckily I got roasted corncob as side to balance the saltiness. I believe it’s a chef’s mistake probably accidentally put too much salt on my steak. All in all, it’s a nice restaurant with attentive waiting staff. I’ll try one more time and hope that time my food is all good.

What a great spot to grab a drink and enjoy the lovely sunny weather in Darwin.
We went during snappy (happy) hour and had fresh mango daquaris and Alice spring pale ale beers for reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

We stopped for relaxing long lunch here. I had the spicy chicken burger. While it was full of flavour and very tasty there was no spice. 9/10. My daughter had salt n pepper squid. It was very tasty Not over cooked. And just the right portion size. 9/10. My wife had the Bao bun with battered reef fish, the fish and salad was excellent although the bun it’s self was more chewy than is normal and seemed like it was frozen not fresh ~ that’s a thought not a fact she gave it 7/10. We shared the green paw paw salad which is a quintessential Darwin salad. I think the chef has had a crack at reinventing it and the salad we had was a collision of a Thai green curry and a more traditional Pawpaw salad. Not sure if it worked. Was a little rich and creamy. I love the creativity though.
The table service was excellent 10/10

Lovely place for lunch, the food is delicious! We had salt and pepper squid and a salmon poke bowl. The poke bowl was amazing! Service is nice too and they have a great selection at the bar!

Enjoyed a great family dinner. Inside table nice and cosy and private! Great service and delicious food served up really fast. Awesome cocktails too! Recommend this place.

Quick service and fantastic drinks from a well-stocked bar. Food was good and the outlook was to the waterfront. Would come back.

Went here on Valentine’s Day with my partner and can’t say a bad word about the place.
We felt adventurous (and hungry !) so we ordered the seafood sharing platter for starters and the beef for seconds.
To be honest, the seafood board is more then enough !
Luckily they were nice enough to change our large meal to a smaller one with the beef.
They give you the option between large and small for main dishes.
Both dishes were excellent. The seafood board gave us a nice selection of local seafood with homemade dipping sauces.
The beef although we were quiet full, was extremely well cooked and had a great taste.
Overall a very satisfying experience ! Little bit expensive, but this translates into quality and service.

This is my fourth time here now in a few days. The food has been wonderful, such flavorsome dishes. All of the staff members have been fantastic, very friendly and happy to chat and offer excellent service. Great value and a place you must dine at if you are here on the Darwin Waterfront. Or pop in for a drink and enjoy the view. Thank you for making my last day in Darwin enjoyable and relaxed.

Fantastic friendly restaurant experience that serves interesting array of excellent dishes and a great drinks menu.

We enjoyed so many things about our late lunch at Snapper Rocks, unfortunately the only one of them made in house was the gin. With the food, if your palate lends to itself the sweeter side you'll enjoy their fare. I just found it all very strange.
Great drinks!!

Visited first for a Happy Hour drink and fell in love with the Seasonal Gin and tonic, delicious.
Back for dinner, more seasonal gins and a perfectly cooked meal, sirloin steak and an eye fillet to die for. Service exceptional and friendly

Lovely staff
Highly recommended

I told a host that I am deaf and got a table for my spouse and me. One waiter was polite and wrote on the note like introduction, foods and drinks. I was impressed with that. I've never been experienced that before in Darwin. People were friendly to me and knew a way to communicate with me. We ordered sweet potato and jackfruit curry, and it was the best!! We will come back next time!

Literally the best restaurant at the waterfront. The char grilled peri peri chicken is amazing and the staff are your best asset. The front of house waitress with the gorgeous smile is a breath of fresh air, and the Brazilian lad goes above and beyond! An easy 5 star for food and service 😌

LOVED everything here!! The food, the drinks/cocktails, the staff and service, everything was so amazing that we had to come back the following night! My favourites were the Mango Barramundi and Reef Fish Bao Buns.... also the Mango Daquiri! But honestly, everything was delicious, there was a group of 6 of us and we were all impressed with our meals. Cant wait to come back to Darwin!

So we were walking past today and the waiter tempted us to be a part of the darwin "love our laksa" competition, e booked in straight away once we heard they had a mud crab laksa, well, what a culinary master piece. Thanks guys we loved that. Hope you win, you deserve to with this laksa

Great view of the waterfront. Had the salt and pepper crocodile which was really tasty. Great selection of drinks and good service, and food. Definitely recommend

Amazing food. Oysters are delicious. Lamb shoulder incredible. Good service. Huge Gin selection.

We read about this restaurant in our Qantas inflight magazine and decided to give it a try. Overall the food was really good. A lot of taste and cooked on point. Serving style is meant for sharing but smaller portions are also available if you want to have a main course for your own. The dessert (grilled pineapple with milk ice cream) was very tasteful!
J. E.
Great drinks and service, I ordered the peri peri chicken but it didn’t have a lot of per peri flavour and chicken was a bit dry, beef and bacon burger was delicious

Yummy food, pretty location - the wait was long due to 2 big groups ordering before us but all in all we loved our visit!
We shared 2 small and 2 large shares (smaller option) with 3 and all had dessert. Total bill was close to 200 AUD.

Always great food and cocktails. I hope this place stayscopencfor many years to come!!
**Pictured snapper poke bowl with a hot female margirita W/ extra salt 😍

I have eaten here a few times and each time the meal has been excellent. It is in a great location near the water front with ample parking close by. This restaurant is dog friendly.

I had a delicious tuna poke bowl! The service was efficient and attentive. Overall a very pleasant experience, i will definitely go back. Get down for Happy Hour between 3pm and 5pm for some yummy cocktails.

One of my favourite spots in Darwin, amazing seafood, great service and the best mango daiquiris.
J. M.
Amazing food and cocktails. We had the salt and pepper crocodile, the mango barramundi and slow cooked lamb with garlic. To die for! So yum

Nice open air restaurant on the foreshore at Darwin. Menu options were pretty good, if a little confusing. Wait staff were nice, pretty knowledgeable about the menu. Location was great right on the green swarde adjacent to the harbour.
M. S.
Good meal with salt and pepper croc and Asian slaw, local prawns were amazing. Skip the fish wings, too much work to get meat off the bones. Great drinks and service - they make their own gin as well which is delicious.

We are NT Locals and we (3 friends) decided to give Snapper Rocks a try. We absolutely loved it. The menu diversity was fantastic, so different towards many restaurants in Darwin and the food was cooked to perfection. It was fresh and the flavours were mouth watering. Not only that but the staff were friendly and totally on the ball, nothing was a problem. We will definitely go back

Food and cocktails were great, staff were super nice and attentive. The whole experience was awesome. Highly recommend. Just make sure to book a table - it's a popular place.

We got served by an American guy who was fantastic on Saturday night while we were having dinner with family (unfortunately he did not have a name badge). Really happy with the service from this gentleman; he was really kind and professional. Nice food too. thank you!

Food is delicious, really delicious and beautifully presented. Came here for a Christmas party with 12 people and booked a party menu package, so much food we had to take some of it home because we didn't want to waste it! Service was excellent too, thank you Angie and team for organising a fantastic night.

My husband and I both loved our meals. We had the bugs, corn, chips and chicken. Loved all of it and ate every scrap. The staff were lovely too!
M. C.
The food was incredible! I had the spicy tuna poke bowl and it was proper melt in your mouth tuna with fresh and tasty ingredients! Service was perfect so props to the guy who served me tonight on the patio.

I was slightly disappointed when I revisited the restaurant and found that the quality of the food had gone down compared to the level the food was at 4 months ago. The squid and broccolini were bland, had little flavour and not seasoned well. The highlights of my meal were the cocktails which were better than the food. :( Hope they improve soon though.

I wanted to grill a fish at home but my girlfriend suggested to go to Snapper Rocks.
I didn’t resist as I went many times to Snapper Rocks and I really enjoyed the food.
We order snapper fillet and mango barramundi.
We couldn’t finish them. Strange smell, strange taste, horrible side salad with spaghetti.
Order scotch and rib eye fillets, save your money and do not order any snapper at Snapper Rocks!
Really bad night...

Really, really nice food. I couldn't fault anything that came out of the kitchen even if I tried. Unfortunately when I ordered my Old Fashioned cocktail it was pre made. The bitters, sugar, and whiskey was prepared earlier in the evening and is kept in a bottle for use. Really disappointing on the drinks side of things.
